it's reduced armour which can be offset by increased armour. if you're stacking guile you can get enough sources of All Attributes to get enough STR to mostly offset it, and the rest can come from acolyte's tree which has a lot of increased armour.

plus, lich has a lot of effects built into the class and Reaper Form that are basically 2nd chances in case you do get bopped on the head by something

yeah my template had 210 guile and about 40 STR from all stats, so it was roughly 50% reduced armour. but you can offset that with sources of Increased Armour in the passive tree

Realistically you could stack like 200% of it, making it ~2.2 or at least two attacks per second per bee without any other modifiers other than pure AS. I think 500 stacks per second isn't out of question depending on how you build it.

Kind of wondering how Shuriken's Blade Shield works with Bladestorm's shuriken storm now.

Unfortunately want to guess it just spawns them on you and it's as if you cast them. But it'd be kind of cool if it made the bladestorms have little shuriken spinning around them too.

It probably still works enough but it’s not the overpowered crazy level it was last season, they nerfed many parts of it, the aoe range is shrunk to melee only, the pure numbers tuned down by a ton etc.
