Never heard that you'd need to do that after whitening your teeth
doc recommendation for 24 hours
Ah I see, was never a fan of minion builds personally, that's why I follow the DINK minmax tech
I feel Judd didn't get a good sleep too hhh
Why's that?
American's night is Chinese's day
FS is dead to me
lol
MINIONS FOR LIFE
FS?
FrozenSentinel
He's talking about me 🙁
lol
Ah
I was thinking of forge strike
lmao all good
That would also apply probably
I guess you can do minion forge guard so Muffin probably loves that more than me too 💔
Was it ever alive?
Maybe a living forge
that was my 1.2 build
forged weapon minion build
killed abby with it and could farm 700c easily - was all I cared about haha (as a player)
Very amazing, good job!
No idea how to do that
Muffin going hard
Can you show your build?
it was a super old build - I cannot
Wait, will your build work in 1.4
but ya I love minion builds, but its also almost all I personally play
so I know how to juice em
So when will you play mirror image mage
Baking the builds, Muffin I see 😉
Cheating, Muffin has insider info
I don't hurry up for that... Let's talk about that after I go back from my trip
I'm more worried about the info we don't have, inb4 ladle nerf
Not again
@strange umbra for the mastery stats, were those skills the ones on hotbar or the ones specialized? Eg. If you specialize a triggered skill thats not on your bar but also use a unspecialized skill
Skele Mage Triggering Hungering Souls!!!! YESSSS
Happy Wednesday everyone 🙂
Bingo
Specialized
Though I can get action bar stats too
i knew it
Muffin playing minions again smh, this guy never shakes it up. Unlike me who will be playing shatter strike for the 20'th time

I do 🙂 I played reflect shaman as my 2nd char in 1.3 lol
and I also enjoy walking simulator builds (like RF in PoE lol)
Fun = nerf. Typical ARPG update formula
??
Reflect primordial about to become useless I’d imagine
Balance is good for the game, nerf is part of balance so necessary. A balanced game is more fun that the one with the bullshit reflect torso in it.
depends how/why something got to be fun; if it means you're hitting the super high end "everything explodes immediately" power fantasy without any of the gearing/progression then yeah that's getting nerfed because you skipped most of the intended gameplay
This game is anything but balanced though
more than half the mage skills are useless. I want to play sorcerer so bad with meteor and/or black hole but it’s pointless
I agree there is a lot of work to balance it but this torso is on an other level
something shouldn't trivialize the game
especially with how easy it's to gear
It very much deserves a nerf
We'll just need to wait and see how big a nerf it is
honestly I'm sure it'll still be perfectly usable
Imo if you don’t like it don’t use it. This game is majority single player at the end of the day just don’t use it. Should focus on buffing other items and skills instead of just killing everything that actually does the same content over and over again faster/better
Okay so just never nerf anything
That would be amazing
It would make the game stale
How
Check D3
Okay I'm not even going to bother writing an answer for you
Nothing in the game is difficult in the first place besides one boss that all you need to do is learn mechanics and dodge
the endgame loop already stale might as well let us play the stale endgame with op builds to have some fun with the ARPG god complex
Okay so
Falconer should be able to erase uber in a few seconds?
or was it instantly even
Why not? That’s the entire point of arpgs. Murder shit in seconds. Get stronger. Become op. Why do you think people flock to these meta builds in the first place? This isn’t dark souls not everything has to be terrible and hard to beat

If the same build is strong every single league
people will just keep on playing that.
variety is the spice of life
You could mod the singleplayer to be as powerful as you want.
Not if they buff more of the useless skills and items there would be more variety
Or is the goal to just make everything mediocre
LE is not missing god-complex builds if you really wanna play em
go do those broken 1000+ corruption builds
Just don't expect to do them with 3 day old characters, you gotta work for it
Just buff everything
make it so you don't even need any gear, you just walz around to uber at lvl 1 and he dies
Peak gameplay
Exactly

Are they useless? 😉
Unfortunately yes for the most part
reflect isn't even good at high corruption. maybe they change how it scales instead. i dont think it's doomed
reflect is just too basic in LE, having basically zero skill interactions will do that
I enjoyed my reflect damage build in grim dawn, I actually had multiple buttons to press that all interacted with reflect damage
gearing was fairly interesting too, because the build wanted a lot of rather hard-to-get items
maybe I should go over that character and see if I can salvage some suggestions for EHG 🤔
I am lazy, I prefer simple builds as long as they are working
Proper implementation of thorns/reflect is an untapped market
That's my biggest gripe with that armor too
Mobs look at you and die
Give me ways to procc the AoE
Or a cone
not seeing a visual damage number is the cherry on top
thorns and reflect can also turn to missile, there's a lot of mechanics to exploit there
Tbh I experiment with a lot of different mage techs, like all the time. There are a lot of A or B tier builds out there that don't have guides mainly because it's not worth the high effort of making a guide that no one will care about. Most people seeking guides seem to only want "the best" builds.
I already know for a fact that; Meteor, Volc Orb, Black Hole, Static Orb, Glacier, and maybe (debatable) disintegrate are Uber and 1000c viable with the right set up and good gear.
Also if people can obliterate the hardest boss in the game in seconds it easily leads to people feel they're forced to play that build to have a chance
everybody wants to see endgame and when they don't see it with their builds, they are changing builds (mostly)
I don't think average players would deal with min-maxxing their gears, If there is no build or guide
The in-game build guides in Torchlight Infinite are a nice feature.
they also had this feature in Smite game. For a newbie like me who doesn't know how to make builds for Moba games, it was amazing
ㅤㅤ
Reading the eterra monthly made me realize that 90% of us play the same 6 builds lol
Top five shaman skills: none is actually shaman
Well meta can always be shaken
I don't know if it's necessarily a problem that 2/4 of Shaman's skills are just plain better when used with a different mastery, but it's certainly odd.
The ol forge guard special
When the top forge guard builds just didn’t use forge guard skills
Mastery identity isn't a particularly strong part of LE
I think Shaman is just skewed heavily because of Thicket.
Glacier sounds like it might be fun with that helm from antipode.
Its okay, I tried it a bit, evade can be decent for clear but its not enough for single target
I was using it in lieu of teleport on my frost orb spellblade and liked how it worked with that helmet and crab ring.
Crab ring? What happens with crab ring?
It cancels the evade, no?
No evade. Just a targeted glacier.
Oh. Didn't that helm give glacier on evade?
Hold on it still uses glacier even if you convert to crab?
You teleport on 0 cooldown? Or no
No cooldown on glacier, but still constrained by evade charges
Kinda niche, but not bad for clearing with insane freeze rate
Actually cool because glacier is cold so you can use in CFC for rm
I don't speak runemaster lol @maiden sky
I was looking at a cool glacier tech with Xylem, you can just go mana tank and face tank uber
Pretty funny
I have semi-cooked I think
Even the slam doesnt kill you
Wut lol
Just made a warlock who turned hungering soul into a full on gatling gun. There's like 70+ souls on my screen at all times. And bosses go to 1300+ stacks of sustained poison
Thought xylem got nerfed before birthed so haven't played with it at all.
Naw thats spear, Xylem getting buffed
5k mana mage gang
Too bad mage sucks at scaling mana into dps
Interesting. Might repurpose one of my mages and play with it.
Raw up front dps yah. Focus does a little. Know any tricks to scale statics damage? Seems so meh for how mana costly it is.
I had a cool tech with LB chaining a bunch and doing a bunch of hits also with the sorc nova node, etc. Can get to 200 charges in less than a second and spam static
but damage is still meh
2 weeks till hype week starts
3 weeks till season starts
What are ya'll most hopeful for
Im praying for meteor changes and new stuff for it
I'd like to see weaver faction get exp faster
it feels like it takes way too long to get up for me
I would like to see endgame content that will utterly kick everyone's butts
I'm hoping echo chains are actually interesting and not just another form of content we do completely mindlessly at endgame
and I say that while playing something extremely questionable, so it's my head on the chopping block too XD
also kinda wish prophecy changes were coming in s4, sad that's slated for s5 tbh
Honestly, I am just happy they are coming
And the prophecies issues were acknowledged
pretty sure it was mentioned in one of the dev streams
Ah, no wonder I didn't hear about it
They acknowledged it was breaking the flow of the game
They are happy with what we get from them
But will change the how we interact with the system
I see, thanks
Tbh at times I just don't end up getting new prophecies
Same
I'll proc the ones I have and then I don't wanna take a break from running the echoes and go get new ones
and then I'll forget to get the new ones when I start playing it next time
6c now and I'm walking outside, I understand what the feeling of walking in a natural fridge finally hhhh
Thanks for my flurry hat.
Mm 6c is cold if you're not used to it
Yes... I stay outside for 15 mins. Go into a shopping mall now
Oh it's general topic
wrong channel sorry
Good day everyone!
Hey there Van

A pleasant morning to you to Vandryll
Hope you all are well
21 more days for season 4 HYPE
It'd be here before you know it 😆
21 days? I'm not ready
Howdy all
Hey derrick
How's it going
Pretty good all things considered
How about over there?
21 days till launch !!!!!!!!
Welcome Derrick!
Doing pretty good, a bit under the weather fighting off something but good otherwise
Three weeks!
Im so excited! Just put in for vacation !
Nice! Hopefully that gets approved! I'm excited as well, can't wait to start a Rogue 😄
Im on 6 months brake and want to play again, there is known date of launch season 4?
3 weeks
soon it'll be only 2
time flies too fast when you get old
Don't remind meee
Yeah, it sure does fly by lol
The same when you're young too
To this day I have not seen any difference between March 26 and March 26th. XDD
and I was wondering what day of March
Good morning Travelers
Gm Muffin
hiya nub! hope your week is goin well
Howdy Muffin
Super cool to see people getting a kick out of the infographics 🙂
It's good, got a new headset today after the last one broke on saturday
woo new tech booo broken tech
Yeah, snapped after like 10+ years of having it
how dare it
That was a good headset to last 10 years.
It was
I could probably get it back to service condition with glue but it wouldn't be a permanent solution
Been there with tape and it usually isn't too comfortable
Yeah, I tried tape but it wasn't good enough
season 4 give more optimisation for target some gear ?
maybe with new woven echo or more new node in weaver tree or update some node ? idk if is clearly 🥲
still waiting on more spellblade news
Is it a known bug that my MTX cosmetic items reset every single time I close the game or go to "character select"
and I need to reequip them each login
This is a known issue with a current work around here: #💬┃general message
I see. Thanks
I believe it's fixed in Season 4 which is in three weeks.
there no is p2w stuff planned for season 4, if you are talking about paid classes or the expansion those are expected to come after season 5
You know I saw the last problem crop up in #👨┃ask-the-devs-not-support-no-bugs … and I read Judd’s response.
He specifically says “we plan” “there will never be paid convenience” .
Nowhere does he say we promise.. and I don’t think classes=convenience.. plans change. Just food for thought. Although I will probably summon the hounds of hell in here with my comment
Ultimately the game lives and dies by the perception of P2W, regardless of any individual's opinion.
There really isn't much room for nuance to influence public sentiment at large, the game just has to cultivate a good vibe by actually releasing desirable content.
There's a lot of things people are willing to overlook if the conditions are right.
Yeah I’m with you. I’m just saying that what people say was promised and what actually said seems different. Although KS campaign may actually have the word “promise” in there
Yeah, not sure where the promise stuff comes from exactly.
Though if I were EHG, I'd be scrutinizing every plan with a simple "how does this make us look?" instead of making bets on how things actually are seeing as they're in a position where optics is skewed against them.
I don't think the paid classes are a bad idea, but I think announcing them at this time, under these circumstances was a terrible idea.
When I imagine how this might have happened, I get a mental image of someone thinking this would somehow hype up players and get them excited about new classes, not realizing how spectacularly bad this would backfire.
Honestly I just think it's silly that people think they'll get everything for free forever
I do find it interesting that the reactions have largely felt like "Paradox classes: boo, hiss!" meanwhile D2R added the Warlock class as a paid thing and that seemed to be extremely well received. I don't know that I've seen anyone adopting both positions at the same time though 😛
But you paid the game already
😏😏
That's the thing yeah. Going back to what I said earlier, people are willing to overlook a lot of things if the conditions are right.
Which is to say, I don't think the people who are mad about paid classes are actually mad about paid classes. Sure, a sizable portion probably are, but I would wager the discontent stems from something deeper.
Nah most of them played once and dropped the game. And are now coming back to troll every time there’s news
I’m convinced of that
I think the circumstances in which paid classes were announced maybe played a larger role in stirring people up.
Oh yeah
You got me there
Consumer boycotts are also pretty extensively studied. Generally, entitled people relapse into consuming a product again more often than non-entitled people.
Your average gamer isn't sticking to their convictions.
Not if the game is good.
I guess that shouldn't be surprising of course, because entitlement itself usually stems from having a stronger-than-usual attachment to a product. So it makes sense those people are more likely to re-open their wallet out of desperation.
they are probably also more likely to be the ones to voice their concerns loudly and repetitively I would guess
Significantly, it's not even a contest.
the problem is that it makes the rest of the people annoyed and want to leave
Yeah, that is unfortunate for sure. Outrage is just so much easier to amplify in the gaming industry.
To be clear, when I say entitled people in this case, I mean people who think "I shouldn't have to pay for a class, therefore this game wronged me and I quit"
Those are the kinds of people who actually don't stick by their words, more often than not.
This form of boycotting is practically never successful.
For more reading, I recommend looking up various studies on the Attitude-Behaviour Gap.
Yea and welcome to the struggle of moderation. You try to deal with that at all and they start crying censorship
The classic "why was I banned for sharing my opinion"
While it doesn't fit to official servers and such I really like the "vibe-check" style of modding some communities use. If you constantly just bring up negative stuff and nothing else you are booted and can go look some other place to be negative nancy.
keyword being constantly
There's probably a whole discussion to be had there about "Letter of the Law" vs "Spirit of the Law" but yeah, I think people generally operate on vibes so that makes sense.
Sure but then they come back with a new account and immediately make a post about how they were censored, you remove it and re-ban them or whatever, but already some people saw it
so it had the desired effect
unless you require approval for posts
Yeah, it's too easy to be disruptive in online communities.
even if their claim is bogus some people will believe it because it disappeared
Things like bans lose meaning when they're so easily circumvented.
one guy kept saying they got banned from this discord for "saying Uberroth was poorly balanced"
That is surely the entire context :)
Having dealt with moderating various communities extensively in the past, yeah you get people like that who know exactly what they're doing.
They're playing their own social engineering game.
TBH after noticing this line of text on the steam page for LE: "Last Epoch will never offer gameplay advantages by being able to spend real money." I actually agree with the people arguing against paradox classes being paid. It's one thing to make random off-hand comments on reddit, or ambiguous 8-year-old kickstarter promises.. but saying that on the steam page itself doesn't really jive IMO.
Unless paradox classes are straight up garbage compared to base classes, they're inevitably going to be better than base classes at something.. in which case they do offer some sort of gameplay advantage.. meaning the marketing is a lie. Which is a problem, legally speaking. EHG will get absolutely railed by the EU if they catch wind of it.
Monetization is tricky when you pigeon-hole yourself by making a bunch of promises about not engaging in broad categories like EHG has.
gameplay advantage isnt legally defined term. it can be argued to be million different things, some which paradox classes might qualify for and some which would completely leave them outside of the definition
I had this debate in my discord a while ago and still not sure how you even define pay 2 win, everyone seems to have a different definition, and strong opinions
If for example LE charged 30$ for an expansion that contained new content, including some new power creep in items, maybe it includes an exclusive new class, dungeons, whatever, people would probably be fine just calling it DLC and not p2w
If LE included all that same content for free, except charged 30$ for just the class, then it's pay 2 win, I guess?
The problem is it's a material misrepresentation. Essentially lying about the fundamental nature of the game to get you to buy it.
I don't think it actually harms anyone, not really. But that's the argument that it provokes.
The bottom line is that this is sort of up to individuals to decide how to handle EHG's frankly mismanaged path into bankruptcy and the collapse of its early-access pillars
Some can "forgive" with a payment, and some won't
Personally I think they promised too much and set unreasonable standards for themselves.
There is no consensus. Most people have a "line" but where that line is located is definitely very different from person to person.
Which makes the whole thing very ambiguous and legally hard to define.
paradox classes still feels like a bit of a kneejerk reaction as a solution for additional monetization in a game that doesnt have a fully established visual MTX system in place yet. It feels like a pitch that had to be cobbled in a very short time
Also that line isn't the same for different games for any given person.
One person has a different line for each game.
Promises are kinda weird too, I'm not sure if it's just a vocal minority but I've seen people argue that EHG should have just "kept their dignity" and gone out of business, that feels weird to me
agreed -- I'm just one person, but I would absolutely buy cosmetics for LE; the problem is there's basically nothing that feels worth my money
Yeah its either what's happening now, or shutting stuff down for good
very limited selection, low quality models, blurry textures, etc
reminds me of the early days of PoE 1, versus the ultra HD cosmetics you see in PoE 2
Like, hypothetically, IF you think EHG should have shut down, stopped taking money, and stop making new content, you can already have that experience. You just play the current version of LE in full offline for as long as you want 🤷♂️
Just eject yourself from the live service, basically
The implication being, that was the only other possible course of action. I'm not disagreeing, but it's worth saying out loud.
I think that really was the only other option, I agree.
I'm pretty sure mike mentioned at one point that EHG almost had that happen, and they had to pivot from some previous plans to avoid it
not sure how related that is to paradox classes
Sometimes I wonder if the sheer timing of an announcement like the paradox classes was horrible. It reminds me of the carrot and stick effect Blizzard had to take with the Diablo Immortal announcement, where if they were to announce it after D4, nobody would care and just move on
Especially since it seems like announcing something with a hugely negative or controversial reaction over a year ahead of its deployment with the current game state doesnt do any good to any side of this system
Timing was horrible. LE was not in a good state in terms of player optics.
perhaps it is a "rip the bandaid off" moment. Rather than prolonging it with spread out bad news, just put it together then try to move on
The problem is that the whole limb came off with that bandaid
just look at the reviewbombing
I think it's just a disconnect between player versus developer perception of the game
like of course people are going to react negatively to hearing about a paid class when the existing classes don't even feel finished, nevermind the rest of the game
I think they could've softened the blow significantly by keeping the part about Paradox classes hush (while still working on them) and announced them under better conditions when the game had already acquired some positive momentum.
Paradox classes announcement came before a 5 month long wait for a new season is just... letting the bad stuff marinate with players.
Yeah, it really needs to be treated like a currency lol
players are definitely more forgiving when they feel like the game/company is doing right by them, 100%
And knowing how much good will you have is a useful skill.
The good will was drained on the paradox announcement because the neutral moment of "wait and see" came before that with the Krafton takeover
It was a 1-2
A "See? We told ya" moment
The good thing is that time does heal a lot of wounds and as long as EHG is sustainable for long enough to buy back a lot of that good will with good content updates, there's reasons to be optimistic.
easy way to regain a bunch of good will with the community: "paradox classes will now be free, and we're introducing alternate paid character models for every class" 1-2 punch of solving a major complaint and demonstrating a desirable form of monetization instead
There's always the flowchart branch that can lead to this feature being given, yes, but that depends on other monetization, I assume
if there is ever the possibility of a better alternative it's probably better to delay an announcement like that as much as possible
unless you want to do the "anchoring" strat
give bad option so that your actual plan seems less bad
Lots of the rage wasn't even directly at the announcement, it was about how, for example, we get an announcement of "class remix" features before a lot of the fundemental class mechanics and bugs are set and fixed
a lot of the rage was at random Krafton drama not related to LE at all
we tried to moderate that / keep it under control on reddit and there was the whole censorship drama
I'm skeptical that EHG should be flip flopping on anything right now, probably just focus on releasing good content (and importantly, with a reasonable cadence).
one major factor was the timing with krafton and subnautica
like, if you asked the average person what their thoughts were on krafton 1 year before the subnautica drama
they probably wouldn't have any thoughts on the company
but now? people hate krafton
I don't see it as flip-flopping. It really just says they won't sell an unfair advantage. If the new class' balance is in line with the rest of the classes, then it's not an issue.
Piling has become a very common thing with internet-gaming culture for sure
I believe their intention
That's not the flip-flop I'm referring to.
But the problem is that you can't always control, EHG surely can't, on how actually powerful such class can be with some R&D applied to it
The amount of "surprising" tech people found about skill and node combination tells me this, historically
I like to think I'm an introspective consumer. I know I'm morally flexible when it comes to how I spend my money. Better to be honest with myself than lie about having convictions that don't actually exist in practice.
Whether or not it is balanced this is a can of worms that is opened to debate forever. If 5 years down the road the class has 5% more Uber kills than the next non-paid class that will be enough for some people to cry p2w.
Even among the non paid classes there was a time when Falconer was best, Sorc was best, VK was best, etc.
if I was morally consistent with how I spend my money, I probably wouldn't be able to buy like.. anything, ever
And that's the truth of it.
virtually every company on earth is owned by or directly funds something evil, somehow
billionaires everywhere
Yeah, tbh, I don't really care either way. I'm not tying myself to that one line on the steam page. I think they should have moved away from seasons and into expansions, but I'm old lol
There's a common industry practice of giving new classes in games a little bit of power overhead, since the reception of a powerful paid class is more positive than the one of an averagely lower power one
nobody wants to pay-to-lose
That’s just Diablo practice. There is nothing to win by paying however
As a result, my approach to consumerism is honest and direct: if the product is good, I buy it.
At least with current standards
It's largely unintentional, but power creep is very real... but people rarely remember the weaker classes/characters.
We don’t know how the game will be in 2 seasons. But there is nothing that screams “win” in this game
That was a big part of the recent rise of ESG investments, playing on peoples desire to feel like they "put their money where their mouth is" but it ended up being largely another ruse
Power creep control, at least by EHG, is handled pretty fine IMO. They nerf with full intent of reducing damage numbers
Power creep is a different thing though. We have power
Creep through every season with more itemization control and so on.
Unless they make specific items that work only with the paradox classes a super boost them…
And I’m not talking about new item bases
More like items which roll super powerful affixes that enhance only paradox classes
I think we could know generally how things are going to work just by how these paradox classes are going to be designed. This is EHG, they don't do things the easy way, there's always spice to game systems
Power creep can also act like a psuedo "meta progression" when paired with new more difficult content.
When the hardest content of season X, previously inaccessible to 95% of players becomes accessible, while simultaneously adding a new hardest content with season Y, the 95% who couldn't do X content feel like they've progressed, and the tryhards also have a new challenge to smash their new power against
And the fan systems seems to apply To the general game instead of specific classes (which they could all do by giving flavor to different classes through different systems)
This is fine imo.
Not everyone plays the same but as long as the bottom line and the top line changes over time, that’s good.
Yea, it's like adding another layer to your sandwich, then squishing it down harder so you can still eat it
There are people who play the campaign and quit. A large percentage by the sound of things. Then You have those that reach empowered and quit..
Well, the onboarding isn't particularly polished
tbh I feel like a lot of people complaining about unfinished campaign are the same people complaining about how long campaign is and wanting to be able to skip what we already have, sometimes it just feels like an easy cheap shot that they don't actually feel strongly about
Some old statistics showed unflattering numbers in terms of endgame percent
Would be interesting to know the specific thresholds where engagement starts to drop off significantly, like campaign -> monos -> empowered monos
EHG shared stats for people in empowered in dev stream 200
well characters anyway, iirc
Yeah it was characters
And if the drop off is sharp in the campaign, then maybe a breakdown by act to figure out which act they're starting to lose a lot of players in
logan
If it's Lagon, maybe the game needs to do better about steering players towards better builds somehow.
the problem is the game is mind-numbingly easy, so literally ANYTHING works.. until you get to lagon, where you finally encounter a smidge of actual challenge
the fix there isn't to nerf lagon, it's to introduce difficulty more gradually, earlier on
Ehhh… first time I fought him I legit rolled another character but that was 0.9 . Since then I’ve been able to defeat him consistently.. but most of the time I finish chapter 7 and bail from campaign
For sure I definitely don't think nerfing Lagon is the fix. Lagon is a symptom, not the disease.
I feel like Act 1 is kinda hard-ish, then it gets really easy for a while, the desert area with the scorps is a bit harder again, then lagon is harder again, then monos is actually easier imo
lagon obviously easy if you know the fight, but its the first one you can't just face tank it
Yeah it’s a bit harsh at the start before the storerooms with that mini boss whatever it is.. a lot of kills there 🤣
To be fair, I probably haven't done campaign lagon in like 2 years or something
that mini-boss before the storerooms isn't even necessarily hard, it's just tedious
I do agree though. The resistances you need change per era so it does force you to adapt your build
too much health relative to the average damage output you do at that point in the campaign
IIRC the speed running strategy literally just skips that fight with waypoints or something
you'd spend a solid minute there otherwise
which is a good intro to LE craft system with affix shards and such
I wonder if new players are making that connection, though.
tbh I barely change anything in terms of gear until I hit empowered monoliths
if it doesn't give me more damage I don't really care
The idea that you can start crafting with meaningful results with LE from the very early game might seem like an alien concept even for ARPG veterans.
I mean that's exactly how I think when I accumulate things I don't have a good grasp on.
definitely a mistake to carry that thought process over from other games
I find early on having more survivability actually increases my speed tbh. I get better uptime, less time dodging, don't need to wait to sustain, etc.
"I might need this health shard later, who knows" -> 3 days later, you have more health shards than you could ever possibly use
I always say I will save glyphs for later and I never do. But I’ve also played this game each season and in EA. So I’m not a new player and I have the necessary experience to not care about my crafting inventory
If players knew a certain resource was going to be abundant and felt reassured about spending those resources, they'd do so.
So I think LE could do a better job about communicating that somehow.
some of the shards/glyphs are so common they don't even feel like loot, they're just noise
and it's probably a mistake for them to be loot given that and the behavior of new players
almost all shards / currencies feel that way, there isn't really a "divine orb" equivalent
even creation is kinda not as important anymore and havoc can be farmed
I don’t know… this game is not punitive enough that you can’t really stumble along and cannot afford to make mistakes. I really don’t think they need to know… just.. experiment
The game guide is a resource that everyone should use and check.
oh yeah, one other thing LE does that I think is horrendous for new players
respecializing skills
the minimum skill level threshold should go up WAY faster than it does, and be communicated better
if you want new players to experiment (and you should) it should be as pain-free as possible
losing skill points for any amount of time at like, level 30 or whatever in the campaign, is the opposite of pain-free
Yeah, I think respecs during the campaign should be a lot more forgiving.
Ehh… yes and no on that
Should probably give you half the points but no more than that
At level 30 though you don’t have that many
the entire argument behind minimum skill levels and the friction involved is: EHG doesn't want players at ENDGAME swapping between a bossing / single target and AoE / monolith clear setup (with their specialized skills)
Maybe a character level check on that would help
there's absolutely no reason for that kind of friction to exist during the campaign, but it does
and respec is way faster in end game than campaign
Sorry but it becoming MANDATORY to swap your skills when you encounter the boss of the monolith instead of making a actual balanced build sounds cancerous
I'm talking about the campaign, not monoliths...
Hmmmm. They could make it so whatever your highest level skill is you get accelerated up to that skill level extremely quickly. Instead of the current one where you accelerate up to a level based on your character level
Like if I have hungering souls lvl 16 at lvl 53 but respec skills level up quickly to lvl 16, instead of like lvl 11 due to me being 53
literally just increase the minimum skill level to whatever the soft-cap is for that character level, up to level 60 or something
instead of like 4 levels below the soft cap (not sure what it currently is tbh)
I guess I can agree on quicker catch up for testing skills during campaign
as long as it doesn't bleed into monoliths where you now gotta respec your skills because a boss is about to appear....that would be GARBAGE
but the only hard bosses are separate anyway, like Uber which you can respec before fairly easily
I already end up doing some minor AoE vs single target swaps pretty often
yeah.. it's not very high friction game design, but it does work for the most part
people aren't swapping skills just to fight abomination or formosus or whatever; which might happen if there was no friction whatsoever
up to lvl 76, you should get all skill points on respec.
Just get rid of the whole thing then and prevent respec during boss fights
people would respec just before the boss fight then
a "Prevent Respec while a Monolith is active" would work
which they do anyway
I just respec the echo before I do boss, do an echo with boss setup, then ready for boss
Like how your talents and gear are "locked in" during a M+ in world of warcraft
at the end of the day as long as respeccing is possible, if someone wants to do it before a hard boss they will find a way
I think changing it only really matters for the campaign, so new players are more encouraged to experiment
though most people probably won't bother unless the campaign is also made meaningfully more difficult
right now you can just cruise through basically all of it using whatever
if its your first time playing you probably want to try different skills when they become available
if you switch and then it "sucks" because you have half the points
you probably wont do it again
if you are experienced you know what you will use, so you spec it before you switch
then its leveled when you are ready
yeah it does feel kind of annoying to specialize "wolves" and then at lvl 23 you beat act one and unlock raptors from becoming a "beastmaster" and now you unspec your lvl 5 wolves for a lvl 1 raptor with no synergy? Feels kinda crudey
When do we get more info on season 4?
best guess: teasers during march 6 and march 13 dev streams; patch notes around march 20th
It's more level 7 wolf for level 4 raptor cos min skill levels but yeah
Wonder if anything is getting buffed that I use. Like earthquake
My guess is that Eq is gonna get nerfed again. Eq bear is just so strong
the fix there would be to re-examine how minions inherit skill tree stats, so that nodes like seismic tide actually still have their intended downsides (huge cooldown/mana cost) instead of being a freebie more multi
there's probably an upper limit for how much you can nerf bear earthquake damage before the build just becomes worthless, it has quite horrendous clear as-is
I could see groundshaking might's damage penalty being increased to 60-70% (from 50%)
hopefully they don't nerf before Mike gets his Uber kill 👀
It's gonna come down to the wire since he won't be streaming tomorrow (sick)
mike got nerfed smh
He mentioned playing off stream, last stream it seemed pretty far, not sure how much more gear is needed
Hacked irl smh
Seems like he went with the less DPS focused version of the build though, probably harder to do Uber that way I would imagine
Depends. If it means he can tank things like triple flail slam I'd argue it could make it easier (triple flail itself is easy to dodge but you get my point)
How long should a full 1T7 EQ Bear take anyway?
Not sure, not long though
Thing is if the bear tanks too many frailty stacks your damage tanks
So you gotta make it dodge the beams and puddles which can be annoying
Not sure. Is there a cleanse on eterras blessing or something?
I don't play much primalist
2 mins tops
Yeah he's not making the bear walk out of beams or puddles so the damage would be pretty low no matter the setup tbf
Honestly doing Abby on minions seems so annoying lol
Looks like he does about 51m damage in ~30 seconds so like 1.7m DPS on uber
thats about 150s of full uptime to kill, excluding phases
so probably >3m
Is that 1.7m post or pre mitigation?
post
im just mathing off ubers hp bar
can you not force your minion to attack the boss adds?
You can
You can move it too
To dodge out of lasers and puddles
But it's a lot of micro tbf
While also dodging stuff yourself
I need FS to lose a bet or something so I can force him to play a minion build until he skills Ubby with it
lol
It looks like the pizza attack was a oneshot
Lol
How much overkill?
wym I did kill uber with minions
Feel like he should be close to tanking it
155, that must be premitigation damage it shows?
he wasnt full health
Post
is it?
says 3964 damage taken 155 overkill he had like 2500 life
unless it counts endurance as extra for that calc
Hmmmm
Maybe things like pale ox aren't counted
Since it's redirected damage
Not mitigated
Yeah would be nice
Yeah it's pale ox
Matches the mod roll
I guess redirected damage is counted
Well it matches if he has a 24% pale ox
Lol
Add a minion tag node to shatterstrike and I'll do it on a minion build
Smh
Good morning travelers
Gm
20 days will pass before you realize it
just discovered the weaver tree, look nice, hope ill understand it fast
I'm sure you can do it
For me, it's the closest to player-scaled summons in Grim Dawn.
Sorry for the late ping, I've been missing for the entirety of yesterday and couldn't react in time.
Minion build implies that you offload yourself to your zoo. GD in some cases forces you to gear yourself up instead.
Think Forge Guard.
But with less clustercluck. Or more. Depends on the perspective and circumstances, really.
Hello and Happy Friday folks!
Hello there, happy friday
May I ask any fun or eventful plans this weekend?
New poe1 league starting in 5 & half hours
So mostly playing that, get some workout done, cook and such
How about you?
oooo That sounds quite fun. Honestly, I don't know yet I'd like to do nothing but outside work begs attention
I just want to eat some good food and go for a nice walk.
outside work?
Like yard/house work
Yeah, I'd like to go for a nice walk too
but still got the flu
Which walk can count as nice?
Noooo not the Flu D:
Well, when its not too cold, not too hot. Birds are chirping and its not raining
*Raining
yeah raining lol
It's actually has been getting warmer here during the days & sun is shining more
so that's nice
So Van, are you streaming tonight? 😁
That sounds like a win. The weather is so nice the windows are open for the cats to enjoy.
Sorry, Vlad. I wouldn't count on it 😆

🤔 ? Mike don't stream today? Ok I think I know who will replace him
It's not sure yet if there is a stream
And sorry, it's not me replacing him
Derrick won't be available, you're up next gl champ!
ah, beans
🤔 I wonder if Van is as same as Wick and Ave, the contract is time-limited
Maybe
TGIF fam!
I can't read TGIF
Hello Derrick!
Also no contract clock ticking here so you’ll keep seeing me around. Sorry not sorry
Goodness instead of gregory? smh
I hadn't thought of that but it sounds much more applicable here 😄

I miss stay hydrated, le fams suddenly
I stay with the 🚰 bottle
Water always good, I need to drink more of it
I want to sip some water too
Tbh I should get at least some fresh air & groceries before the evening
Go ahead and get mine too, Nub. Thanks 🫡
Sure, you wanted 2kg of chicken, right?
Only bones, got it
Weird request
Got to make some food in bulk ready for the new poe league
Imagine going to the market and requesting the bone-in wings then just pulling the bones out
Heck yeah. I won't be playing it but hope everyone enjoys themselves. Being a gamer and having a new season or content drop is just chef kiss
Rolling magma LOGIN
⬆️ (He stole my words)
We need some holy forged weapons for s5 so we can complete the holy cycle
nah
i'm stubborn and lvl as the skill i intend to play even if it might feel worse
Same, and holy skills only this league
Yees
wait i woke up from a coma we finally have Holy type damage?
Nah, poe is getting some holy skills this coming league
like holy strike, holy hammers, sweep is now holy sweep
holy [word]
But it's either 50% conversion to fire or electric depending on the skill

Moar lizards
for when the new season?
March 26! :]
Best way to get red ring of Atlaria?
Prophecies and then imprinting it
if you're not in CoF then good luck getting one to drop yourself
but you can buy one from the MG and imprint that (it will always be MG tagged though)
Ok so mainly prophecies, I know they are really rare. Thanks for the info
If you're lucky you'll get one from the first prophecies you do in echo on a new character (like I got one)
I think its on average 800k favors to get one when you get to the last rank
But I had no use for it on that character
Prophecy spam of unique rings. Then when you get one imprint it in your weaver tree
Took me roughly 18 hours to get one from a prophecy. But my loot luck is and always has been horrid
this is why I always go CoF. Too off-set my garbage natural luck
250-300k would be a closer ballpark
but of course distribution of outcomes is very high on something like that
when will S4 patch notes be released?
Last time it was 6 days before season start
So maybe this time too?
Getting closer
<@&1082357055484071997> picked one of the things in id:customize and now I can't see any other channels than: general, ask the community, ask the devs, feedback & suggestions

Go to the channels tab at the top
and select the ones you want to see
if you selected one of the options for onboarding - channel selection, you will need to finish onboarding (selecting all relevant options) or directly go to the channels tab to select what channels you want.
Ah, sorry
I was being dumb
No worries: It's not dumb, it's just new - even if those words are so often interchangable.
new technology always provides 'fun'!
Didn't register at all that I wouldn't see the channels I didn't click LUL
Definitely let us know what you think of the onboarding 🙂
hii
dev stream today or not ?
Yep, dev stream at 3 PM CST
thanks Derrick 🙂
No problem!
Looking forward to some hype. Lobbying a few friends to jump in this season.
🎉
I saw le in a 2018 game mag ez
Just wondering
ive seen the new onboarding news, and it seems like in most categories active participants of this server just... have to sort of mark everything anyway
Flavor in gaming communities often comes from a single choice they have to make to some roles, roles about their priorities in the game, not necessarily what they wanna be exposed to on the discord server
Flavor can be icons and nickname colors for a "main mastery" or class, for example
Gaming magazines? Forogt those existed... ah memories
Right?
That's fair, dj things can always change but pls be sure to provide any sort of feedback or suggestions with this new onboarding or roles/icons if you'd like
Tips & Tricks was my go-to.
Sure, where do you want it sent
#feedback is fine! c:
We'll be open to adjust them and what not so pls let us know
posted. thanks
we getting the teasers screenshots here or mike gonna drop them after stream?
oh yeah, that's happening right now, completely forgot about it
i might just wait for Aaron's video
Teaser from stream!
tyty
The minion fiesta continues
I guess EHG really wants us to play minions on S4 to the point we're pretty much forced to lol
No minions allowed.
new ring is bonkers holy
Sec
😄
Here it is
please no cap please no cap please no cap...
What is multiple times? 2? 3? Until it breaks ?
at least one of the corrupt outcomes is "ruined" so at minimum that probably ends the corrupt chain
hello new best friend ring
confirmed. we hit till we brick
neat. will need to see what corruptions can do. Maybe it can outclass the mighty red ring? With the right rolls?
Didn't catch the stream, but guessing it's a new passive for spellblade

No idea if EHG just dislike colourful roles or anything else.
It might cause confusion as to who's what Is my guess
When will the new season be released?
march 26
Will be a fun season
cant wait to see everyone that was talking sht login and have fun
Its the cycle of life
вопрос к ру игрокам @here
че с серверами, у вас выдает ошибку? или эта игра уже все приплали тока через впн?
This server is English only.
...sigh. The second-hand embarrassment of being an unfortunate carrier of that same language is murdering me.
The double disrespect of ignoring the #rules and using a Here ping on top is just 🤢 .
at least the here & everyone pings don't work when done by us plebs
Is servers down? I've just bought the game on steam - Got in for 10 minutes and now It just won't connect when I try to join on my char.
everytime I try to create a char or join my current one, it loads and then I get a lost connection to the server - Every other game is fine;.
What's your server?
EUW
Any VPN in use?
None at all on this PC - Network works for everything else.
I can connect to the server fine, as soon as I join a char it just kicks me out .
Might want to hit F8 in-game right after getting booted out and send a "Crash/Disconnect" bug report.
Also, what's your internet provider? Out of curiosity if nothing else.
All done 😄 - Interestingly I've just verified game files for the 2nd time and I am working again. No more POE for me 😄
I'm with EE
Good to know. 🙏
That said, if you don't need online services per se, you can use true-offline mode via Steam settings.
nevermind - It's kicked me out and its started again after hitting level 4 -.-
how do i get "evolution's end" amulet ? there is none in market
you have to finish an evolution lineage of the rift beast
is that what i chose each time i complete one ?
You hit max evolution chain on any rift beast and defeat it.
It's untradeable for a sole reason of a specific affix tied to your personal progression with that particular lineage.
do i have to do something specific, or it will drop 100% at the end ?
it always drops in the end i think
Its 100% with full evolutions iirc
ty
Yes, it's a guaranteed drop. It's in the name after all. 🙂
whats anybodies guess on how many times the new celestial ring will be corruptible?
like is there a limit to how many affixes an item can have?
Sky is the limit traveler
what?!
thats crazy.. i guess then the next question would be how likely is the corruption to fail?
It has a chance to become ruined and no longer be corruptable
i have really no idea how likely it is to be ruined... like in between 1-5% maybe?
ok
Imagine wearing the entire ruined era on your person.
Every single goddamn f------ item.
Void knight times uwubyss.
Voidrobe.
i'm not sure what you mean by that?
I.. I sort of don't wanna spend the bulk of my season rerolling the same ring item a million times
Ruined not only means no longer corruptable, you can't even equip it
Is there anything new for season 4 ? Im new i dont anything 😂
yes..?
I think the last post in #eterra-monthly has the most known information for season 4 with teasers. Also this #news message with the roadmap
There's only been teasers so far, the devs have been collecting them here: https://forum.lastepoch.com/t/you-ask-we-deliver-here-are-season-4-teasers/79956
Full patch notes are expected during hype week starting on the 19th
And warlocks are good! Maybe not top tier broken but definitely powerful. My favorite class, love that they went colorful for a 'dark' class
warlock is extremely strong. It's main problem that people has is it requires a ton of "setup" and levels needed to gain very good power spikes
you need to load enemies to the BRIM with curses and you get a ludicrous amount of defensive and offensive More% multipliers that allow your scaling to go nuclear. Warlock however does do very little at low levels as nearly every spell and passive it gets requires curse stacking and you don't have the speciality slots yet to do so. So you are mostly just spamming hungering souls until lvl 65+
While other classes like paladin, VK, Lich, Falconer, and beastmaster are broken straight out of the box and only get stronger as the game goes on
warlock catches up with these eventually with levels and more specialty slots for skills. But the early levels are quite boring and unfulfilling
I spam chaos bolts while leveling because the colors are pretty 😛 But yeah I played a javelin Paladin last season and was shocked at how simple + powerful it was in comparison to the pretty intricate Warlock setups
Returning after doing beta a few years ago does this game have player guilds?
No
The question is, what is the user's expectation out of player guilds
If its Diablo 3 guild level, or something else
Guys, been a while, did krafton become greedy? Or is there major lay offs? Or core og members quitting so far?
no
but also next season is later this month and the expansion is in like decemeber, so wait to see and judge it for yourself
while no one can really speak to the first question...the other two have not happened
Only Judd knows them

Ruined as in corrupted beyond all recognition. Sorry for the delay - busy day.
hey is there a place to find all the new items that have been spoiled so far?
The latest #eterra-monthly has the stuff
I see they did some Primordial Unique Improvements but I did not see the Fang belt on the list. I assume because they need to fix it and not improve it?
that is confirmed to be fixed in s4
my dream of my brother being a big werebear and me being a beastmaster and calling him "my minion" will come true
Hitting the gym, naturally
hell nah
Getting a job and play poe
i actually tried playing poe these days, but it doesnt really hook me
I'm actually waiting for uh
Crystalfall? I think is the name?
It's basically got a combo of PoE and LE's ideas
Will it be good, Idk, but I like the idea
They had a playable demo recently. It's rough, felt like a tech demo. Very long way to go before it will even reach 'early access' level feel imo.
I think it will be trash
Well, I didn't play lots. The skill system shows some promise, and the idea of PoE sorta 'classless' building has a lot of appeal to me
People already complaining about last epoch content
That game will have even less probably
Thats the thing i hate tbh
Every poe2 season all the same skills are meta
This season everyone just played coc comet mostly
good thing poe2 doesnt work on my pc 😎
Poe2 optimization is the worst i have seen
I have 5090 9800x3d and i dropped to like 50 60 fps
When comets were dropping in high dense areas
And i doubt poe2 will ever run well
le is my goat
well i have a good pc as well, so even mid optimization is kinda fine x)
but is d4 even good? maybe i ll watch a review or something
just sold some cs skind today and i have like 300euro on my steam, so i could try
It is, its just gets hate because its diablo
People are salty because its different from d2
Its more of a casual arpg
just gets hate because its diablo?
I'm not sure I follow you there
Yes
Blizz games gets hate all the time
I mean, I enjoy playing D4 every so often, but the hate against Blizzard is kinda justified? They make incredibly dumb decisions all the time.
I mean i get why people hate on it since they cater a lot to casual players
also, even if they didn't, never defend a company lmao
because it's the general chat about last epoch
not "general chat about diablo 4"
Yeah, you want #📚┃off-topic, not this channel
People already salty when d4 is mentioned dayum
New season end of this month right?
March 26
Good timing i think
i ll gonna go in cryo sleep until then
It wont collide with other seasons that much
Look
I do not literally give any shits about d4 being mentioned
d4 talk should just follow the same as poe talk. it belongs in #📚┃off-topic
not in general
Chill dude
Well don't claim i'm salty
Haha my apologies good ser
No.
So the new season there is corruption rogue mastery rework and some new gameplay loop right
Will there be any new bosses?
there is no rogue mastery rework.
there is a new boss.
IIRC mike implied there would be, but was somewhat evasive about whether or not they qualified as pinnacle / uber
arent there 2 new skills for bladedancer?
bladedancer is getting changes, yes
dancing strikes for example no longer has a cooldown
I guess this will be the op build this season
It'll probably be better sure, OP isn't really a guarantee though
Paladin got changes with Electrify.. I forget how recently, but they did
and that was never OP after the change, just decently strong
i just rewatched the trailer again and they state "2 new rouge skills"
so not just some changes on some skills there
shadowrent and bladestorm
Bladestorm is getting pulled from Umbral Blades and given a full skill tree, yeah
I can't remember anything about the other skill TBH
no
at least one of them is base rogue
Spellblade is also getting a bunch of changes (Fire Aura is buffed more than 10x, Spellblade has a new quite strong passive, etc)
there should be small changes to every class/mastery, with Bladedancer and Spellblade as the main focus
Would be nice if they would update vfx for skills
oh yeah, primalist is getting animation and VFX updates IIRC
they're planning on doing every class I think, but it will take several patches to finish
I just hope this game will one day be able to compete with d4 and poe
It has the best crafting system
Also skill tree is awesome
I just wonder what will be these paid classes
Were there any leaks about that?
Nope
i hope it's anime 🙏
it's fun to theorycraft about what paradox classes could be IMO
No leaks
and if there are any people who know about it they're not allowed to talk
it's about as anime as my life
my guess is it's going to be characters from other timelines that somehow end up in the (very major) role we play in our timeline during the campaign
because that has very confusing implications about how they got here and why our timeline is dependent on someone from another one
I just hope they wont be slightly tweaked existing classes that are op
like, if they had control of the epoch.. sure, they could get to our timeline and do stuff, that's how it works
but how would they get it in the first place?
it's like the paradox in futurama where fry is his own grandfather
the sequence of events doesn't check out
and once you start looking at other timelines, there's lots of crazy classes they could do
anime confirmed
i said it first
playable dragons? believe it or not, reign of dragons timeline
as soon as you reach the end of time zone, around level 20
Yes
just get the crit stats and ull crit yes>?
Yup
Well more often till you get 100%
There are spells that dont crit so make sure they are hits
The in game guide is very useful, g by default to open. Only hits can crit, not DoTs
(not snarky, it's genuinely great)
Stupid ailment question. If I have an ability causing frostbite, like frost claw, do more modifiers to frost claw damage (Artor's Sceptre, Cold Star) affect the damage that frostbite would do?
If the more dmg is applicable yes
Like "More Dmg" yes
"More Cold Dmg" yes
More DoT , yes
More Spell Dmg , no
Pen, yes
Because Frostbite is Cold DoT, but not a Spell
i dont understand why devs dont reduce the mastery respec to 100k specially in end of season
whats the point of cant be able to farm gold cause cant kill and then quit game instead of respec in end of season
let me know if you know me its been 2 days i live like a shit trying to figure out
now im going to bed
i have problems to understand your problem
I guess they wanted to respec and its too expensive
And tried to farm for it for 2 days but its still too expensive
ehg sure love their amulets
Gold has never been a issue in this game even slightly. And Mastery respec costing a lot is to provide friction with the system on purpose as it's suppose to punish you for not reading. Like why would you pick VK when you plan to run a unique for judgement a paladin exclusive skill
They allow you to read everything a mastery gives you. It's not the games fault that randomly at lvl 92 you watch a streamer playing something else and want to copy it
Mastery respec is also a "new" thing previously you would need to make a whole never character if you wanted to play a different mastery
dev stream teasers are on fridays, patch notes should be around march 20, release on march 26
waiting for the news
👀 First time to see Mike is online instead of being invisible

anyone notice a lot of bugs the first one i have to equipe every first conection mtx each time , the second more annoying i have buy primordial horn but it doesnt incrase my stack in my inventory -_-
For the 1st bug
No, they go by themselves in the stash
hmmmm i dont know then i have them and its not couting them what did i do to the devs to be treat like this -_-
They are not showing in the proper tab?
they dont count at all
theyv been on my inventory then i put them in storage
but the number in my inventory says like 9 but i have 15
problem solved i have manually put in and out in the correct storage twice then relog
goddamn latest PoE league has made me appreciate LE more rofl
well not the latest league but playing PoE1 in general, that game is so incredibly fiddly and bitsy, so many more balls in the air at one time in every aspect of the game.
Juggling socket colors and attribute for my gems is crushing my soul
I know it's because I am a filthy casual
But it's annoying af
Dare I say as an old consumer of poe that whilst I got used to it and nearly mastered it, I am nowadays glad I left that behind for a more casual approach.
socket colors, attributes, those two extra buttons your build has for unlinked gems that do one thing for your build but are way too impactful to not use
Is there a permanent fix for the Cosmetics issue? After every character login I'm losing my Cosmetics and have to re-apply them (gear/skill/pet, doesn't matter)
Unsure, afaik this is still the current go-to workaround #💬┃general message
Not sure if it fixes it permanently or not
It worked for now, thank you
When i get into the game it doesnt show any characters and when i made a new one and relogged into the game it disappeared! Anybody else has the same issue rn?
@tawny frost
I don't see a cold conversion in harvest
Did I miss it?
Ah wait
I was on a 1.3 planner somehow,
good morning, remember to stay hydrated, le fams
