no perfection or death's door is a pretty big red flag, but ngl the biggest issue here is that you're going poison dancing strikes. unfortunately both poison and dancing strikes do terrible damage at the moment, so you won't be killing anything fast enough

it also looks like you're not taking advantage of shadows at all

you also should really give shadows a try. you're missing out on a big piece of BD's kit

either sync strike or smoke bomb (or both) are shadow generators

also, if you're going to use dancing strikes, you really should be using rhythm. there's generally no reason to use the skill otherwise

Basically each set item can be broken down into a specific affix, you can then put that affix on a normal (white,blue,yellow, exalted) item and that item becomes a reforged set item that takes place of the set item you got the affix from for the purposes of the set bonus

Yeah, the spear is weird. Feels like it's more about using Frozen Orb to stack the buff, then have a secondary skill as your "main dps". Haven't looked too much into spellblade, so I don't know if there's any skills there that scale of spell damage to enable to hybrid spell / attack style.

I think realistically 30 hours of gameplay on one character for 100 is probably on the "fast" side. Not speed runner territory at all but most would take way longer

I think a big part of ARPGs is the cyclical progression of gear and content, completion has to be somewhat subjective as this genre is designed to be enjoyed by super casuals and pretty intense players.

Even 100 in grim dawn you consider reasonable will be too intense for many people.

What I think makes a game more accessible is diminishing returns of further progression. And LE has that pretty well.

Except it's not. Since 1.2.0.0, Lv100 is perfectly reachable on Normal even.

LE seems to be friendly in certain aspects and brutally hostile in others, often seemingly for absolutely no reason.

@carmine smelt hey frozen, I know you’ve mentioned in the past that damage calculations are fairly simple with a spreadsheet if you understand how damage works. I understand the difference between adaptive and multiplicative damage and then the different “damage buckets” but what are all the buckets?

I’m tracking there’s flat damage, either melee/throwing/spell, then there’s % increased damage for the damage type and generic %, then there’s all the more multipliers that are typically all their own damage buckets yeah?

What am I missing from all that?

But for Rive specifically, I think the node that doubles damage stats on a 2 hand is just a mega mega buff bc for my build it doesn’t just “double” my damage because it doubles the flat damage on a weapon AND doubles the % increased damage on a weapon, which are two different buckets so isn’t that one node effectively increasing damage by 4x depending on your weapon?

Not quite 4x but way more than 2x I think?

WASD is a game changer

Please make flurry marksman (without multishot) and puncture marksman viable for endgame please. I like aiming my shots, so things like heart seeker, rain of arrows, multishot, etc is off the table xD

It’s not impossible or anything. But when compared to many of the other abilities, I can’t seem to scale those two nearly as well as the others

It bummed me out a bit because those are the two abilities that make you feel like you’re playing an actual archer

Here's a flurry ubby kill, obviously they're using a lot of other skills to buff themselves and flurry but you obviously don't need this much damage for any other content so you can cut a lot if it out and still shred pretty much any other enemy

I like the concept of dot builds, but they seem to be the weakest in LE compared to a lot of other arpg’s. They’re tied to the same abilities that crit builds use, but in nearly all cases, the crit is superior to the dot stacking

I’ll look into it, thanks. I think it’s the nature of dot builds though. In LE, you stack per hit. So you generally build around fast hitting builds where you sit and spam an ability as fast as you can. But if it’s designed that way, all those hits are usually better served just scaling crit and flat damage over dot you know?

It would be nice if you can stack all your dots in a single hit like many other arpg’s do

You can stack a lot with vengeance and you access to ton of duration and penetration vengeance gets i think 1 penetration bleed per 1% uncapped physical resistance

reflect shaman is good at mapping but I don't think it will be any better after 500 corruption, there are many builds go over at least 1k corruption
