Hi guys, my final quest is stuck at "speak with Eterra" and even though I completed it several times, it seems bugged for the character and I cannot get the 1 to all attributes reward from it. Any way to fix?

Is there a statement about the amount of bugs this season?
Aside from minor bugs, what I encountered in the last 4 days with very few hours played:

  • the node 'permanent bond' from the wolves tree and normally summoned wolves block each other (a.k.a. if i summon wolves before the passive companion wolf gets summoned, it won't get summoned. If the wolf from the permanent bond gets summoned, i can't summon the normal wolves)
  • an Monolith area in which I had to find a cocooned item, which was a very small level. I triple checked and found no more enemies, the bonus stability was at 10/24, the item was not found and there was no where to go anymore
  • an echo with a crypt as target, where the crypt did not spawn. I could see, where it ought to be, was blocked from moving there, but could neither see it nor enter it
  • another level in which there ought to be a crypt which i could neither see nor enter, same as with the other one it had collision and was pointed out by the map / minimap, but nothing else.

What’s the endgame loop people do for upgrading gear? I have several lp2/lp3 pieces I want to slam but I cannot for the life of me roll/craft good enough exalts.

Im imprinting triple exalts, spamming troves and nem towers. Using profs between exalt farming and rune of redemption farming etc.

Anything im missing?

Have you used Havoc Runes? Find a T7 Exalt, with some empty affixes, put in the thing you want, and gamble on it rolling towards what you need?

If you create a character in the same game mode (let's say Season Softcore Normal), it will share the same stash as your previous character. So it won't need to re kill it. Because Factions and progress are tied to the stashes

If you create a new character in HC Legacy solo self found, it won't share the stash with your other char, and will need to kill it again.

As much as I love the game, many skills have bugged nodes, so it's hard to properly find good builds. Lightning blast rune master was fixed after 5 years, dance strike is still bugging after 7 years.

There is a content creator called Dread that theory crafts builds, but even him acknowledging the problem.

Okay so 1.2 was a big one, we know that, then 1.3 is the first "smaller" patch cadence from LE. It was a lot smaller in scope. Even balance wasn't touched as much. As a mage player we got like 6 lines of changes lol. So it doesn't surprise me.

There is one thing I can guarantee will not help better long retention and that is longer campaign. A campaign is something that, by definition, has a finite duration. To drive retention you need content that can be repeated and is enjoyable when repeated (better endgame, async mechanics, creative crafting, etc.)

poe2 actually has less build diversity that poe (if you look at poe ninja). Both poe and poe2 have these OP builds of the league like lightning arrow. But the reason lighning arrow has a 45% play rate in poe2 is because the endgame is so difficult you need to play the best build

If hypothetically LE build power was more determined by gear than skills/passives like we have now, more builds could do the hardest content as they gain gear (like PoE). Right now a lot of build power is innate which means balance is a lot harder

My point was, lack of build diversity is not what is causing LE's poor retention. LE has much better build diversity (at least in terms of build play rates) than poe2. Yet PoE2 has MUCH better retention tahn LE.

Just my opinion obviously but I feel like the LE end game progression doesn't feel smooth right now. The 1LP guarantee created a really large plateau of power that "feels" harder to progress beyond than before. It's a much more natural "quitting point" for a lot of players vs a gradually increasing slope towards "fully optimized". Perhaps it's a reasonable quitting point for the average player but a lot of the new stuff added is superceded an easier to acquire unique with a T7 slapped on.

you can build corruption by doing a reset either the natural spawn or a woven echo "Confluence of Oblivion" (from a weaver tree node).
you can get an extra 12 per gaze which is obtained from doing a harbinger (you can 4x this by equipping a harbinger needle, a random harbinger drop)
if you have excess gazes >8 or are in a timeline with less (40) than your max you can do a single echo to get the natural reset

Yes, this is a huge issue I have with the game since 1.2. The 1LP slam made it so that you get your build going waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too fast. They shouldn't remove it, but the incentive to go the other route just isn't there.

Seriously a big component for why people will stop playing. Kinda shocked EHG doesn't agree, but I respect their decisions, and it's probably something I don't see. But have thought about it for so long, and legit think they should do something.

Not sure what they could do, but for more dedicated players, there's no excitement about it anymore. Getting your build online should be a huge aspect of your gameplay, and it plays into the rewards loop. I also feel like this is further worsened by the fact that there really isn't any content for you to even use your build in.

Presuming soceress had always been the first start point in all the games mentioned above, would it be the same here - Any recommended class to go work on?

yes, but it work in a different way in le, it's corruption. More corruption you stack, more rarity on items found you have, more favour for faction you get, more difficult the game have, more defence and offense your build needs.
300 corruption is the balance point, experience and favour will harder a lot to get more after this value. Your build is solid enough to try pinnacle boss, aberroth if you can survive in 300c+. That's the requirement for t4 dungeons too.

le suppose to be much more simple to learn and deal with boss combats if you're experienced in poe/poe 2.

You can always go for Flay Lich, its a very different kind of gameplay

Frogs are pretty passive, in that you're mostly standing back. Most other Beastmaster builds have you attacking with Swipe that you might enjoy more. Or you could always do a Shaman or Druid, if you didn't want to make a new character.

I find lagon consistently the hardest boss to do at higher corruption. as you're pushing up corruption, are there any other bosses you do earlier in the harbinger boss kill rotation? I just did lagon and wondering if i should care about any of the other bosses next. I can't think of one that's particularily difficult like lagon

warpath sentinel is a bit rougher to gear but the playstyle is EXTREMELY simple, you can even level as warpath if you have some leveling uniques around

used fury leap that gives frenzy on leap. Looking at attack speed it goes up 20% but that is it. the dual wield is also not really increasing it and also the when changing gear so that my strength changes I don't notice a difference in attack speed. Now it might be a visual bug but with the little bit of testing done I can see that having the belt and not having the belt on it is still the same about of attack speed from frenzy

Hey ya'll.

I started playing 2-3 days ago and would love some help on how to get further into the game.

I am currently level 88 and about 189 corruption timeline thingy. Things are starting to hurt a bit more and clearing things starts taking much longer than before. I do know there's probably something with crafting to do and I got some things saved up thanks to the loot-filter from Maxroll.gg but idk what to do with it.

If anyone could jump in a call and maybe direct me on a path to improve on i'd really appreciate it!

Like the game and it's a lot of fun but it's difficult to get the hang of everything at this point I feel like.

So, so happy to know that Skill Sigils is the thing coming in 1.4. I'm literally praying to all available gods that "Endgame Bosses" means a fresh take on the Uber-like boss concept, where they actually are hard to beat, and you have to strategize, but that's a big dream.
