Honestly I would make something like this. Cuz some parts in this one is either unnecessary or is a safety hazard with sharp turns.

The roundabout here would provide all type of u-turn and make the traffic flow in any direction flawlessly

If you're on the avenue and you want to make a left turn into the highway you would have to first make a U-Turn on the left side of the parallel road, then make a right turn across an entire lane

Id suggest moving the "slip" lane a tile back so that its adjacent to the entrance

Since Midtown, Manhattan is full of mostly tall buildings i don't think you should detail the roads too much. Only detailed them when they're visible. You could use The Leaf Road Expansion Pack for the roads especially Broadway Street.

For the buildings there's not a whole lot of Times Square related plugins but I'm sure you could find them by just searching it on the plugin store.
