What's the size of a tile in real life?

Has it ever been officially established? I found one message here from 2 years ago saying that a tile has an area of 5 - 8 m² "according to Lobby" which sounds horrid

because it would mean each tile has a side length between √5 and √8 meters

doesn't really make sense to me! 4 - 9 m² meaning each tile is 2 m x 2 m or 3 m x 3 m makes way more sense

I think 3 x 3 is a more reasonable assumption seeing that the smallest houses are the size of one tile
