Making an alien invasion plugin is kinda hard, the ai needs to be smart which from what i've seen and tested with.. It's kinda unexistent.
I planned on making my plugin an actual invasion but making a 4x4 tile act like an entity with movment animations kinda broke me. (not even talking about the attack features rn)
An alien plugin should have an ai that lets the alien search (and not go off the map) attack feature that would have to target pedestrian filled building (eq. Abandoned building would be left untouched) when an alien walks over sum the building should have a destroyed type of aspect (the path behind it should be replaced with rubble or somethign similar)

• for it to target military things such as tanks and stuff, it will need to have their own special id that atracts the alien)

Overall it takes a bunch of work and it best works with 1x1 aliens a lot better
