Try turning off trees and decorations when generating a bigger map, it reduces lag and helps with avoiding a crash. I always have to do it when generating large regions / maps.

I assume it would be easy to plugin something like train station or underpass, which are groups of buildings combined into one. I do upgrade my roads. I also use the futuristic roads plugin which is supposed to be able to handle high volumes of traffic. I mean they do help reduce it a little. And I don’t want to cheese the game by using bus only roads.

Surprisingly this type of junction actually works better than expected. It first started out as one highway going away from the industrial district then I added the one that goes to it. However, there are times where even this workhorse of a junction gets clogged… it shouldn’t because those are all one way roads in my industrial district. But somehow they manage to clog it up.

How is it that this keeps getting clogged up? There is nothing blocking them from going through that.
