it is very difficult to get the same character several times in a row on the connections especially if you are marrying them

It won't be the same character every time because they alternate between odd and even gens

Like I said I ran a V2 for over 50 generations, rarely did I get the same characters over and over again

it is easy to get the same character (masktchi) several times in a row if you are letting them die and continuing to take bad care consistently

Yeah, and even then there are multiple bad care adults so it's not always guaranteed to be Masktchi

i always loved tarakotchi

what i don't love is how people STILL think after several decades that his p2 equivalent is kusatchi when it's actually takotchi

it's all in the beaks

and animation

all of the beaked characters on the p1 have rounded beaks, except for tarakotchi, who has a squared beak

it's the inverse on the p2

kusatchi also has the same animation patterns as nyorotchi while tarakotchi and takotchi both just kinda wiggle in the middle of the screen

i don't really like tarakotchi on the p1 for that specific reason but he's got diverse animations on the connections like all the rest of them

i also don't understand why he's the only adult missing from the tamagotchi mini AND pacman tamagotchis

come to think of it mametchi/mimitchi's animations are also kinda boring on the p1/p2

sorry for the silly question but the manual doesnt seem to help. How do i increase happy meter by playing games? only if i ned it perfectly/win it all? cause even if i do like 30 or smth in the get notes the hearts dont increase

if you get perfect it fills all happy hearts at once

and perfect on get 🎵 is 100

Bump is partially weight dependent, you're more likely to win the more your tama weighs

i mean there is a method to it but i find it inconsistent regardless so i just mindlessly mash b

It's not a button mashing game technically, you don't need to button mash, just press B twice when it says push

i don't remember what the hurdles game was called on the v2 but it was the case for that

you can get one heart without winning the full game, but just one on the V3 (and this one in my experience)
for get you need 36 points or more
for bump and flags you need to win 4 rounds iirc (and maybe sprint too?)
for heading you need 8 points
for memory you need 6 rounds (get the sequence to be at least 4 arrows long)
for hoops you just need 3

So sounds like Heading and Hoops are the easiest way to gain happy hearts then

on the keitai you just need 3 points to get a heart from Get
and from 20 you get 2 and from 60 you get 3
but on the V3 you need 36 for one and you can't get more unless you win

also on the keitai you can get 2 hearts by getting 10 points on hoops and 3 by getting 20
but it seems you still only get 1 heart if you get over 10 points on the rerelease

I just give up, feed snacks, then use Bump to gain gradually more cash

Yeah, I always play get on the Keitai because you can get 50 points from only catching 20 notes, so I usually just do that and then purposely lose

You get a happy heart from that too, so basically you gain a lot from only playing 20% of the game lol

yeah if it was less time consuming to get happy hearts from games on the V3 i'd play them more often, my tamas always end up at 99g lmao
on the keitai it's so easy to keep them at the optimal weight
i was hoping the rerelease would have the keitai's happy heart payout but no luck

Amazon delivery can be really fast, so If it says a date, you can expect it.

well part of the problem is that the other place you can get them in the UK (Smyths) has delayed theirs to late August which means it’s not clear if the Amazon date is still accurate

I assume Amazon would’ve provided an update if it was no longer true though

Okay I found a code in a video for the melon soda shell - understandably it matches the melon soda code given out by the blue bubbles shell

So for the current shells we just need the Kakigori and Plant codes I think

Playing and losing is -1, playing and winning is -4, idk which is faster.

Playing and winning to gain a happiness heart is technically -4 and avoiding gaining 1 weight for the snack so a -5 overall

So if you go from 0 to 4 happy by winning that's a net -16 and an avoidance of a potential +4

Not that I’ve seen, I doubt they’re a different version but we’d need someone to look at the version screen to be sure

Uni review versions were different as were review versions of the Connection V2 so it’s possible

this is explained in the instructions though i think the european instructions are a cut down version which might exclude that bit

that's a shop code which is also mentioned in the (full) instructions, it works the same way the shop codes worked on the originals - you press A on the shop screen until the shopkeeper looks shocked and then you enter the code
