no matter what, youll have to indoctrinate 27 followers total (4 sacrificed, 3 killed in SC) so as long as you dont go over 27 total indoctrinations youll be fine
i will say when a follower spawns on the lil circle pad thing, hold the timeskip button to speed up the animation

Also can highlight how ludicrously lucky i got finishing last night. My first catch was a lobster so theres the rare now i just need something to feed the fox. Second was 2 squids another fragmet plus an extra fish for the fox.
On top of that when I finally got around to using oceans bounty I got the octopus first and heres the thing, you don’t have to catch a crab. You find a crab in smuggler’s sanctuary for a form and you get a crab to give the fisherman!

i think your math is wrong because you actually go follower neutral out of silk cradle due to shamura killing some

Ya (ideally) recruit 7 after DW3, which will die cuz of Midas/Shamurat, meaning we still have 20 to recruit.
SC, Anura, and the Water Place will give ya 9 followers after ya complete the first 3 stages and kill their minibosses...
Meaning that you yourself will have to recruit 11 other followers either by rescuing them midway on the stages, or buying em! At least that's the perspective of how I see it 🤔

Yah I did 4 hours of running last night and all 5 attempts were moot. Four of them I softlocked on, the 5th one I was doing amazing and then I kept dying in Anchordeep and rage quit

BUT I found that I can jump directly after using hammer to toggle it again, and having that with an attack rate boost of 1.25x or 1.5x was a godsend

I finally realized why writing this route has been such a pain. It’s cause the 100 speedrun is like a play, i have a script that i want to follow but things go wrong and i’m let to improvise. I could write out a transcript for my run but thats going to be a reflection of what i did, how i improvised, not what i wanted to do.
The other problem is its one of those long term plans situation you have to explain what to do even when it won’t matter till later.

there are three big choke points
AFTER darkwood 3: if you dont have 7 followers the unrestricted skips/sacrifices are pretty hard to hit. possible but difficult (not a huuuge deal, check current wr for context)
silk cradle 2 and 3: both are very long if you dont hit a crusade floor skip, use omnipresence to reroll

100% always uses a godly weapon against TOWW so it goes by very quickly. Ax is probably the best. I had to keep taking hits and using the iframes to get the hammer attack of.
Also are there any data miners in here? Im having a bit of trouble pinpointing what makes the hearts 3 tarot card available from ratoo. Currently i’m theorizing it requires beating heket. It was still locked after i beat leshy and shamara.

Found out I could soft lock the game by accidentally clicking on a follower requesting something from me while I'm trying to bring a follower into my cult. So I had to stop my personal best run 3/4 of the way in. I'm pretty sad haha

People don't usually pick up any cards during a run. I would just watch a run. There's some glitches and tricks in the first 20 mins, just crusade rushing after that

Inspire multiple followers at once: when inspiring one follower nearby followers will join in. Inspiring after conducting business in the temple seems the best way to optimize this.
Auto fishing: it’s amazing just do it you can not fish better then the atuo fishing
Auto cooking: this one is a pass, you get zero control and it will only cook one dish per pass. On 3* dishes thats helpful but simpler 1* dishes (like bowls of poop) you can mash and easily get several dishes from a single pass. Basically It will prevent burning 3* dishes but will lose time on 1* and 2*.
I am a very happy boy right now. Maybe with bug fixes my game wont crash and i can get a sub 5:30…

The teleport glitch is used to sacrifice 4 followers and unlock a fleece. It’s useful but the cost of four followers this early isn’t really worth it since devotion is such a grind
The follower dupe is only useful for opening the doors before sacrificing followers. No sacrifice not needed
Talisman dupe just isn’t really useful…you need to beat all the witnesses for follower forms, you skip ratau knucklebones with the fox, that only leaves finding a fish or building sozo’s decoration.

Thats a steam achievement. 100% is about unlocking basically everything. (Food dishes are the only thing not required to unlock. They also take only the lightest amount of resource management so they wouldn’t even effect time)

Its a time save all right. Any time you would hold to something (like collect the heart of a hieratic) its just a button prompt and it immediately happens.
This also might be huge for 100%… let me get some timings…

Tailsman pieces come from fisherman, sozo, plimbo, midas, and the fox. Knucklebones and the light house are for other things.
The most consistent way for an early fleece is clearing DW4 and A2. You fish to get 1 rare fish for the fisherman, give a fish to the fox, give 10 mushrooms to sozo (you can kill the mushroom people that tell you where he is for 12-16 mushrooms) and give a follower to fox.
1 fisherman, 2 fox, 1 sozo
Fisherman pieces are luck based, sozo’s 2nd piece is an additional 20 mushroom, plimbo requires witnesses eyes from 5th crusades, midas would require 2 SC without a fleece.
Hypothetically 3 fishing and 1 fox would be faster but that requires a good amount of luck.

As far as quality. Just stream for 5 minutes and review it. Make some small changes whether changing your bitrate or volumes. Stream for another 5 minutes and go from there... People are always gonna say this or that about being loud or quiet. But we all have different audio settings so don't take it too directly

Everything about that run was terrible. Apparently once you talk to the fox in a location he only spawns there. I forgot his first request was fish, i died against shamara, fishing took genuinely forever and i ran out fish 2 times, the game still crashed, i had to play 7 GAMES of knuckle bones, i ran out bones again, and apparently follower get sick at the start of the brainwashing ritual with belief in prohibition not the end, that caught 13/22 btw.
Not to mention something went wrong with my connection and the stream crashed, I accidentally reset live splitter, and apparently never started recording or adjusted twitch settings to save the vod. So i have literally nothing to show from it.
sigh i guess if I wasn’t going to have footage afterwards and the terrible luck isn’t so bad. Its just really annoying spending a day like that and it being a waste.

Fishing in the run was so stupid. I already said that i ran out of fish twice but the truth is i was only finishing to get to night so i could get wolf pieces, fishing is just a nice back up if the time isn’t working out.
The thing is i got 3 octopi and no other fish for talisman pieces, it one point in the run i had 30 salmon.
The cherry on top of all that bad luck was once i had ocean’s bounty active to get the rest of the fish first cast, lobster squid and octopus. Crab can be grabbed in smugglers sanctuary. That one cast could have hypothetically been the only cast for the run. (It actually couldn’t you need to do 4 or 5 cast for a follower form)

hey yall, wanna apologize for some of the runs in queue staying in for so long! two of those runs are 100% runs which we dont have a super streamlined process for verifying- we're working on making that process for the future. personally been very busy so thats why i havent done any of the shorter stuff thats been sitting for a bit either

1.0.11 is the most optimal for any% Unrestricted and NMG, as it's the last patch to have golden fleece running at +10% damage multiplier per kill
The only downside is there are many more bugs and potential softlocks given its such an early version of the game, but you eventually get used to it and know what to look out for and avoid

100% actually likes current patch since the accessibility options that got added offer a bit of time save.
Admittedly im not good enough to test if they out weigh 1.0.11’s golden fleece. But since crusades only account for ~20% it very well may not.

some tricks such as cutscene skip and early midas can only be done on keyboard and mouse so most people for any% unrestricted will run on pc

For Sacrifice% and Marriage% i run 1.0.14 because we don't need the fleece, it's more stable, and some skips are not patched yet (like cutscene skip, easy tutorial), but current patch could be fine with the accessibility features.
We could do the math and say "if tutorial is finished before XX:XX current patch is faster for these categories"

Accessibility really doesn’t save much time. Disabling hold events is ~3 seconds per, ends up being ~4.5 minutes in 100%.
Fishing depends on how good/bad you are but you dont fish much and it’s probably ~1 minutes (with good luck on what you catch).
The group bless/inspire is by far the hardest to judge and i dont think would matter for Marriage%. How many different followers do you bother blessing?

Imo it's close for Marriage% and not worth for Sacrifice, but it's worth doing the math
Group bless is not important for good RNG runs, and only relevant for the worst runs.

Ya know. 100% is probably going to need some redefining once relics of the faith comes out.
Or at least split it into before and after categories since it looks to be adding things that would increase requirements for 100%. And it would be weird that some runs dont get every thing other runs do because they’re an older version where those aren’t there.
