Hey, I had an error during logging in Hunt there is error issues Ox30001 Error on my PS5 , I restarted all of the devices. But nothing changes

so how come removing a trait from my character removes a random trait instead?
so pissed about this, when i removed iron eye it got rid of shadow, even when the game warned me that i was about to remove iron eye
tried the same thing with magpie just now and it removed quarter master instead, its replicatable at this point
now im afraid to remove any traits at all or i might loose another one of my scarce traits - this is bullshit
its a bug being fixed in the next update
In the meantime, the workaround is to remove them from the big menu on the right instead of the little one on the left

Are they? They exist, but is their existence integral to the gameplay loop and does the type of boss really matter that much in the end? (Apart from scrapbeak because of it removing all lootables in the compound, which it shouldn't do anyways and only remove part of them imo)
They are cool the first few times, then you either start bringing sticky bombs and/or spamming them with melee/penny derringer and kill them in like 30 seconds

If you don’t have a dedicated melee assassin easily takes the longest

As soon as they start their clone phase you can just spam melee on them standing still
Without them moving away or the clones being able to spawn and hit you

Assassin has some weird targeting gimmicks that none of the other bosses do. Sometimes he’ll decide to just crawl around the lair in bug form for 15 seconds for seemingly no reason
Note that 10x longer kill isn’t a complaint just a notice that bosses are different enough in terms of gameplay

And the melee of that medium slot could be as you describe, so it could be a hybrid weapon like the lance. Light melee for no beartrap, heavy melee uses the beartrap but it must be reset afterwards

Since Crytek is showing off more UI updates again, here's a complete list of everything that's annoyed me over the last 10+ months... 1) Traits in game menu need to be sortable. Allow for sorting by cost from left to right and right to left. Scarce traits should be a separate line item.
2) When dead and spectating, allow us to more easily select which team to spectate. Could have a "team 1, Team 2, Team 3" in bottom left corner. When hovering the team, you could select which person to spectate with a left click.
3) For loadouts that utilize quartermaster, there should be a "buy quartmaster" button next to the gun in the loadout that requires it. This would prevent needing to go into traits and then back into loadouts.
4) We should be able to "ready up" from any menu via keyboard shortcuts.
5) The sorting options for guns are terrible. Where is dum dum? where is fmj? where is high velo? Where can I sort by attachment like talon or brawler?
6) The "charms" equip button can be added either to the left of your gun or to the right of the ammo selection.
7) There's no in depth stats menu. Let us see more information.
8) The sorting options for many consumables make no sense in today's Hunt. "Vision" "light" "rending" "placable" "noise" etc. I think there has to be better descriptions for these items.
9) Can only recruit 1 hunter at a time
10) The "loadouts" menu should have a "use most recent equipment" default button.
11) After selecting "edit hunter" the entire top menu bar disappears. Fix this. The top menu bar in the edit hunter section should include loadouts, equipment without loadouts, traits, and the "play/lobby" button.
12) The entire after game menu is terrible right now. I do understand this is being worked on right now and I can withhold judgement until we see the finished product.

- The "Team details" and "last mission" screens all disappear if you change to a different queue type.
- give us a "show most recent missions" area where we can check out basic stats. Time in game, total kills, total damage, etc. This is certainly a nice to have and not a requirement to be added.
- The "Progression" tab needs to be more predominate. checking progress of unlocks is what keeps players coming back. I would add this to the top menu bar. Also make the progress that people care about show first. Bloodine/Prestige, player stats, gun unlocks (This is somewhat fixed)
- In the Play/Lobby area with teammates, show your loadout on the right-hand side. There could even be a toggle (selectable with a click, not a sub menu) that switches between the Challenges + Dark Tribute that we have now.
- Fix the "don't show contraband" button. It constantly changes with every click and is useless. I do not care about contraband at all and don't want myUI to be more cluttered than it needs to be.
- After hitting "inspect equipment" from the lobby area, you cannot remove the equipment from your screen with a click elsewhere. Fix this.
- You cannot go to the shooting range without remaking your team/lobby. Fix this. (This might be fixed already)
- There's no click and drag to reorder your tools and consumables.
- There's no option to never show the "its okay to throw out my contraband" button for consumables.
- When the rewards has more than 3 at a time, you cannot see all rewards at once. On top of that, to navigate you must use arrow keys instead of clicking the diamonds at the bottom that show there's more than 3 rewards. Show wayyy more rewards on a single screen!
- Looting hunters needs a different default button so loot gun and loot hunter shows at the same time.
- The number of skill points you have remaining is not obvious enough when purchasing traits in the trait menu.

For 5), you just need to search those keywords in the weapon search bar and it will sort by those. You can do the same with searching traits to see what works with the trait.
But it would be nice if they were toggleable buttons.
ive also noticed the search bar can be buggy sometimes and get deselected when typing

@unborn sandal I have an idea for Magician which is to imitate someone walking around and breathing(You know like when they're aiming) but keep the sound effect it has to let you know it is a fake when you get closer to it.
I think it should certainly have a timer instead of being something that lasts an unlimited amount of time.

Frag arrows causing bleed was understandably annoying especially since one bow could carry 22 shots but 8 explosive crossbow rounds was perfectly balanced tbh

@short silo No it wasn't "perfectly" balanced because people would literally spam stalker beetles over and over due to Crytek buffing their damage. This is much better and reduces annoying beetle spam. Choke beetles are much better in comparison to the other beetles anyways because they have better support. Chokes makes players cough which makes them flinch and mess their aim up and takes out burning players without you giving your position away.
@unborn dagger I agree — you’re right that it wasn’t perfectly balanced, especially after Crytek buffed Stalker Beetle damage. That definitely created some spam situations, I’m not denying that.
But right now we went from “too much beetle spam” to “nobody uses beetles at all.”
The current version killed the entire feature, and that’s not a good middle ground either.
A simple solution could be:
👉 limit each cocoon to a single use — the first player who finds it gets the beetle inside, and after that the cocoon becomes empty.
This would prevent spam without removing Fire and Stalker Beetles from the game entirely. It preserves variety while keeping things under control.
I don't really agree, I like where it is at right now. I see just the right amount of people using beetles, not too much and definitely not "nobody using them at all."
@unborn dagger I get your point, and I’m glad it still feels fine for you — but when I said “nobody uses them,” yeah, that was an exaggeration.
What I mean is that they’re barely present compared to before, and personally I almost never bring beetles anymore.
What I really miss is the in-game surprise factor:
Walking past a tree and thinking,
“hey, maybe I’ll get a Fire Beetle or a Stalker Beetle this time.”
It was a fun secondary tool you could adapt to on the fly depending on what the cocoon gave you.
Now that cocoons always give the same Choke Beetle, that little moment of randomness and creativity is gone. And for me, that’s what hurts the most — not the power level, but the loss of that gameplay variety.
I’m not saying the old system was perfect, but it definitely offered more interesting choices mid-match.
I'll take what we have now where people have to active plan to bring stalker beetles and fire beetles in over people just grabbing a stalker beetle from a nest with packmule and spamming it.
Even then the major problem of this is Crytek buffing the damage of the beetles instead of just keeping them as they were

I don't get these "no skill" complaints in regards to play styles... sure getting sniped when you think you just wiped the server sucks, or getting OHK'd by a shotgun at just over 10M, stepping into kill traps, or juked by a katana's ridiculously misrepresented range... or even bombarded by frag arrows -(although here I think scarcity was deserved)....
Patience is a skill.
Planning is a skill.
Accuracy is a skill.
Spacial awareness is a skill.
Goading is a skill.
Suppression and team-play is a skill.
Map knowledge is a skill.
Manual & mental dexterity are skills.
Just because other Hunters don't play the game using your skill set doesn't make them not skilled or less skilled. Momentarily annoying or frustratingly unfun sure, imbalanced maybe (looking back at OG Shredder, Revive-bolts, & 5x Solo Necro troll), but "no skill" - nah, that's just a lack of vernacular and lazy venting that makes people sound whiny and inarticulate.

Although pure patience is hardly a skill, a playstyle revolving around placing traps in common spots when noone is around and then being afk somewhere safe while watching netflix is not a skill
Most other things require some form of skill, snipers still need to aim and hit their shots even if they use silencers or sit in a bush, if anything silencers will make it harder for them
Shotguns still require you to be smart in CQC and contrary to what people argue, it requires aim as well
If you aren't hitting proper center of mass, you often fail to kill in one shot
If anything it can be hard for some because of the need to use larger and faster aim movements than if they were fighting at medium/close range
Arguably if you are watching YouTube or Netflix that isn't patience anymore. I don't think many players do this anyway... at least I have yet to encounter a scenario where I would suspect such play.

It's not long since I had a team trap the spider nest with dark satchels and waiting far above them with a beetle to trigger them remotely while they sat a safe distance away without having to engage, doesn't help that while the nest is otherwise a really cool design, they did the mistake of adding ambient sound to it which masks dark satchles almost perfectly
That was after our team fought the other 2 teams and did both of the other bounties
So they were just waiting there not engaging anyone or doing the intended objective the entire match
It's the main reason why I hate traps and disagree with them getting buffs and us getting more types of traps, Hunt has always been a game with focus in risk vs reward, playing with a trap focused playstyle minimizes your risk while still rewarding you with kills, sometimes even bounties if you trap extracts or such
Yeah my team encountered that... at least one of us survived the blasts & traps each time. When they came back to check on us we had all restored our health and wiped their team out. It was actually quite fun baiting them back to their trap and reaping vengeance.
It would be fine if they were used in more active playstyles like defending the building you're currently in to keep the risk factor like most other playstyles have, but I see them quite often being used far away from the people who originally placed them
I have inadvertently gotten bounties from trapping atypical paths or compounds near extractions. I get caught in a firefight, survive, and can go scrape up the bounty from some Hunter's remains who unluckily ran into it while trying to cut & run. Is it lack of skill or passive play? I would argue not, is it annoying for the victim? Undoubtedly. But just because some people use it overly passively everyone should be equally judged as lacking skill?
Vigilant is a hard counter to traps. Explosives help otherwise. My main complaint with traps is when the interface is bugged or over-loaded with markers that these should be fixed or improved upon.
Vigilant not working as intended when the traps are within an egg husk model is a perfect example of a bad bug. Likewise the amount of white glowing stuff when having other Darksight traits like Witness, Poltergeist, or Remedy is an issue when trying to effectively use Vigilant. Traps should or appear with a yellow aura.
Think there is also an aspect of risk/reward that you are not considered into this equation.
Even a 1-tapper like shotguns, have a high risk despite being "easy" in some people's eyes.
Whereas Silenced Maynard, while being high skill to hit with at longer distances, also provides low risk due to sniper basically being un-trackable in any meaningful way, allowing to take multiple shots without ever getting shot back at.
Traps are those "low risk/high reward" tools
But yeah in either scenario it is usually reliant on your enemies brashness.
Maynard silenced sniper is annoying AF in the right hands... especially with subsonic... but if you can hit a kill shot with that then good on you. It's a play style that I don't enjoy but meh, it's there for those that do and, although it might not be something fun to play against, disengagement is an opinion. Blast sense helps dealing with silencers and if I start hearing a lot of silencers on the servers during a night of play I'll take it regularly.
As for risk/reward, in my opinion, the in-game rewards (xp, money, MMR gain) for most kills in Hunt are negligible to the gameplay experience which shouldn't cater to just a few particular play styles but strive to balance a sandbox extraction shooter that makes many play styles available and enjoyable to play - to keep tensions high, frustration at healthy levels, and the dopamine hits of overcoming adversaries more rewarding than the frustrations.
That's why we've got the old, "Hunt giveth, Hunt taketh" adages.
Well, risk/reward is not only of what meta progression gained, but also just in the simple spirit of winning and the road to victory.
Moreso, "enjoyable to play" doesn't equate to "enjoyable to play against", that is why I call the Maynard Sniper for "the misery machine", where we have a once sided dynamic of someone playing a parallel game to most others in the server.
And while there are some openness to the game, people usually wanna play a PvP game to interact with the enemies (other players), hence why dying to a trap or sniper can feel like a "non-play" experience.
People like winning and can enjoy losing if they feel like they were bested by a more skilful opponent in the heat of battle.
And trapping/sniping, while requiring a certain skillset, doesn't translate well into the skill expression of outplaying another player.
And I just wanna be clear, I don't mind normal sniping that much, it is just the Silenced Maynard one that is an issue as it doesn't create any openings to counter-play.

Yeah, I think we are in agreement, I think I am just trying to say "different strokes for different folks" - some people enjoy that stealth tormenter game play and it is more rewarding from them personally and so long as it doesn't become an actual meta ruining the game play for a larger majority of players then it adds to the game in another way.
If I claim victory over a gameplay style that I find abhorrent it makes the victory all the sweeter. If every battle was fought the same way in the same weather etc etc - I think I would have lost interest in this game long ago.
I feel like creating Bounty Clash really messed up the game. Don't get me wrong, I love that mode, but the game has a very low player count on certain servers, and this further reduces the number of players available for each mode. Sometimes I spend 10 or 20 minutes looking for other players to start a Bounty Clash match with... Although I'm not sure if that's the reason or if there's a bug preventing me from finding people to join my game.
If anything it just helps to show that bounty Hunt is the core gamemode people care about
@empty wraith the issue with your idea is I can see people absuing disabling the internet or disconnecting their computer from the internet (or crashing the game) on purpose to save their hunter. I get where you're coming from though

Last night (early hours of the 22nd), I was playing Valorant. After finishing, I launched Hunt: Showdown. I played one single match, and right after, my account was permanently banned.
I am a brand new player with only about 15 hours total in Hunt. I have zero motivation to cheat—I was honestly still learning the basics. To show my support, I even bought the current Battle Pass and some Blood Bonds shortly after purchasing the game itself.
I believe this is a severe error (false positive), possibly related to having Valorant's anti-cheat (Vanguard) running before launching Hunt. I have nothing to hide.
My Request: Could anyone help me get in direct contact with Crytek's support or security team? I am pleading for a manual review of my game data. I authorize them to check all my match replays and logs. I just want a fair chance to prove my innocence.

I gotta be honest, “leveling the playing field” by resetting everyone’s stats to zero is insane. This isn’t a Tarkov wipe, the game will be the same as it always has been and there’s no playing field being leveled here

Honestly I don’t mind the badges starting from 0, but stat trackers starting from 0 is disappointing. I get it if some of those stats weren’t tracked, but they also admitted that some things are being reset to make it “fair”

Yup sometimes I forget how lucky I am with my other main game OSRS where the devs actually care about their players and actively listen to player feedback, respond in a timely manor, and even poll them for the majority of updates I've been playing the game since 2018 but feel like Hunt is always too late for listening to their communities feedback and its just been glaring since the few months leading up to the game engine update.

Yeah a Solo vs Trios gets a significant 2.5 Star MMR drop.
Prestige isn't a symbol of being good at the game... especially now with Sealed XP envelopes and the ease of power-leveling. I never thought I would hit P100/100. But after they added sealed XP I was able to easily grind my way through 60+ prestige levels in less than half the time it took me to get P30 something.
Yeah and why exactly is a trio of a 1, a 2, and a 3 averaging 3 stars and a 6 star deranked all the way to 3.5? It's silly and clearly not working properly.

They remain viewable in the same tab under Career.
I think what was confusing is they say some stats (probably weapon related or some more niche tracking) weren't consistently tracked historically, so rather than have some badges be starting well progressed and others not have a single XP point, all additional stat tracking will be started fresh. Our old stats are still there just not things we were never privy to in the first place... like number of scoped kills or red barrel explosion kills...

there is something either very wrong with how stars are assigned or people are using some tool to lower their rank, i saw this in dead by daylight before, might be happening here as well
a 3rd party software that would set players rank to the lowest so they could smurf in beginner lobbies, and somehow a P21 guy is a 2 star with his duo

Honestly the fastest way to prestige is to not engage in PvP, so you can make a fresh hunter that is 1 star and farm them up to p100

Well bans, as far as I have understood, aren't using your IP address to make it harder to return. So in theory they could just be burner-accounts. Or they could have moved from Counsel to PC or vice versa and have direct game knowledge. Playing at a team minus (1v3 or 2v3) also partially ensures that your MMR climbs slower and drops quicker on a per kill basis if you are consistently getting lower-level opponents.

They said specifically that “we didn’t want some categories to be populated and others just starting at 2.6 so we took the direction to start over for fairness” so there are categories that they could’ve shown us but aren’t. I’m aware that not everything has been tracked, but if something like headshots was being tracked even though we couldn’t see it before, then I would’ve really liked to see my historical data on that.
I think it’s just the way they communicated it that leads to speculation about what stats were always being tracked and what is being reset. I don’t mind badge progress starting at zero since it’s something you earn, but for the stat trackers I think everything they have should carry over (and maybe it will, as I said their post was super ambiguous about that and just leads to speculation)

I like using it if it's one of those situations where the bounty is next to an extract thats locked or next to one that's open (and i'm further away while the boss is being banished) so I have time to try and snag a bounty for myself

Bro, I'm glad we have similar ideas for the boss. However, I only recently came up with the idea of adding this bat boss myself. I think adding this boss will bring a fresh feel to the game and better fit its historical background, theme, and art style. The gameplay I designed for this boss is also more intense and exciting.
And when I thought of this bat boss, a movie character and a game character suddenly came to mind: Van Helsing, a vampire hunter from the movie, and Gabriel, a demon hunter from Castlevania.
Furthermore, I believe adding a bat boss would better facilitate gameplay design for this boss, and I've already mentioned its gameplay in the suggestion post.
In fact, I've already come up with a completely new boss, but I haven't decided yet whether to offer any suggestions regarding it.🤔

in that case it sucks for the solo yes, but the duo have also just handicapped themselves because now they are a duo in a trio game and their team MMR will reflect that. That situation is better than the inverse where the solo gets to quit out leaving the duo disadvantaged and then the solo can run off and do it again to another duo. Overall I think itll reduce toxic gameplay by teaching people they need to commit to the matches a bit more.

contact customer support on crytek.com, but generally they dont reverse bans or discuss why you were banned (lots of cheat-makers try them on new accounts to see if they get detected)
Well after 3 mouths far from the game, I can assure you that the quality of the server is in the same spot. Worst then ever!
The game in 2020 was a masterpiece, hell even in 2023. Then came the modern audiences, and every on can have all the bullets, all the gun from the start and all the help from the server when joinning a guy from SPAIN with a guy from MONGOLIA!

noticed the sound issue in like 1/3rd of my games, sometimes im getting killed by a streamer and whilst listening back to what i sound like on their end, considering the possibility that the environment is the cause of the problem which it isnt, its literallyjust audio not working right

well both. I play this game for the fights but when I have to search for someone that is just hiding somewhere and will 100% get the first shot on me cuz I am moving and they arent then I might as well go extract.
Well you have choices, if you know someone is hiding nearby and you don’t need to go through them, don’t. Just disengage and move on.
If they were randomly hiding (you hadn’t traded bullets yet) and ambushed you then you are being careless on the approach to a compound and they took a gamble on where youd come from. Compounds are already designed to make camping hard by making lines of sight and needing to look back and forth between entrances stc
problem being 90% of this playerbase plays exactly like this and therefore I'd be avoiding a whole lot of fighting sadly

If 90% of the people you play against hide in the corners for 30 minutes you should be laughing about how you just walk around the map unchallenged collecting bounty tokens and strolling to extract. Your issue is that your play style is catering to the campers, and at 90%, most aren’t even campers, I reckon you just push every time and they hear you coming so position themselves.

First of all, hello everyone, I think the PC interface needs to be changed because this awesome new feature was made for consoles, but it's complicated and always prone to errors for PC players. Switching weapons, removing weapons, and organizing your inventory are very complicated and difficult. It used to be great, but I understand it's difficult for console players. Yes, you fixed that, but why adjust the entire console interface this time? And secondly, the gameplay. I find it a bit ridiculous that people are jumping and shooting. Don't you think that's ridiculous in such a realistic game? The physics and PVP aspects of the game need a bit more development, but we shouldn't go overboard like some game companies. We should remember that this is a game, and it shouldn't be complicated. What do you think, everyone? (English words may be distorted, I apologize in advance for my bad English.)

right. so the butcher burnt one of your bars, and getting downed destroyed the other
he can destroy bars with burn at the same time as you go down, and if your body is set on fire which it likely was it can destroy a remaining sliver of health quickly.
I figured it out myself. It’s a setting to “hide ping place marker” that for some reason enabled on its own. So got ping working again lol.

Game consistently crashes 1 time everyday around 9pm mountain time. This is PS5 PRO. Never crashed and rarely disconnected on regular PS5. I see the PS5 PRO HAS HAD Crash problems with hunt for years now but why 9pm? (I usually play 6-8 hours a day.)

I get where you're going but it gives value to quartermaster and 2 slot weapons to where they would probably be more of the norm or people won't give a shit about movement speed
Or, they wouldn't give you full speed, just speed you have now
If you have 3 slots or less (Obrez + uppercut for instance) you'd get higher speed

Movement speed changes would probably be the biggest fundamental change to the game in its history, besides it pivoting from pve to pvpve
But I think it also would change much. 10% isn't going to change much for people, shorties might be more common. Too much of a percentage decrease or increase and it can have a drastic negative effect on the game
There's a reason why a lot of games don't implement such a system, it can be overbearing and drive players away, especially if it hasn't been part of the game for years

Immolators should not be one shot by a water bottles. Not only takes away from the utility of derringer pennshot.
But if heavy rain and deep water doesn’t kill them. Neither should one water bottles. Since the drenched effect last 15 seconds the immolator should be wet for 15 seconds where I can’t explode and gives you a 15 second window to kill it with any type of ammo or melee attack.
Water bottles should be a consumable you can pour on teammate or self to make less noise breaking bottle. Should be a consumable you spawn in with at least 3.
This is to counter the fusees/flare burning epidemic. lol I would say 5 but fusees have more utility so it shouldn’t match it.
This would also entice players to bring hellfire bombs more often to burn players instead of fusees/flares. This would make longer more strategic matches.
Maybe they are waiting until they blend tools/consumable slots together? Who knows? Missed opportunity regardless!
Pennninger is in zero danger of being outclassed. The only other tool that even comes close to its level of utility is the spear but they’re both overtuned imo

I agree, though I think it can be a seperate stat. As it is, KDA doesn't really reflect the current condition of the player and is very subject to outlying incidents.

Obviously we've gotten used to the many problems over time, but my heart hurts for the game, the feeling of a good start, the positive innovations of the UI are spoiled by a trivial glitch. Of course, everyone will have the BP - if we got compensation or not - ,but this is a game that has been around for many years, we simply don't understand how such things can happen. This is discouraging. I know that there's nothing we can do now, but sigh, both from the developers and the players.😭 🤷🏻

No. You bring an axe. You chuck it on the ground. Then you go kill an enemy hunter. Then you steal his weapon. Now, if he gets up, his new weapon will be where you threw it.

I've been reporting the folks who are having issues with game version stuff
Think of the Krampus "Storyline" more like a classic Seasonal FOMO skin (They usually cost 1,500
). Then it kinda makes sense at that price point... it is a seasonal exclusive with a portrait (200BBs seems to be base line there, stupidly expensive IMO), frame, title, one legendary shotgun skin and some filler junk... I'm not saying it is worth it but from that perspective it is more typically priced based on their usually marketing.
then put it in the store and don't pretend this is part of the story, AND DON'T ADVERTISE IT IN THE ROADMAP as a new feature

I would get it if there is a nice hunter with weapon, charm, portrait, frame, fun inspect animation and stuff. Just the whole package with a nice background story. Let me save the whole thing into a loadout, including the stats shown and the whole profile thing? Then it would be actually round and perhaps even worth the high price as an occasional support thing

Waoow.. the game is buggy right now. Can't get into bounty clash, always brings me to bounty hunt. Keeps crashing out, and have to reconnect. Hits don't connect.. The maps keep popping up for some reason, while in game. Why? I don't get why this is a thing..

Yes but we don't know wrong in what way, originally they seemed to be supposed to start from zero, but it seems to have possibly started tracking already some time ago, maybe last patch and using values tracked since then

Compared to the game's full price OR to any DLC: The Krampus Story Challenge costs 17€ (quite double the amount) - for sth you have to work for (and not getting your reward instantly). If that's your idea how to earn money = Bad idea. Reduce it to 500 BBs max. Be fair and respect players.

They can issue refunds for that. It happened previously, notably back at the beginning of JotF when the event struggled to launch properly.

On the Hunt website you can ask the support directly to help you. If you've tried to restart your game, to reconnect your twitch account and haven't gotten 5k Hunt $ from the drop, then that's the way to go. You'll have to give them your steam id so they can check what you got.

@flat sandal Crytek explicitly said they won’t do pings for hunters/corpses because they don’t want people ping-scanning for information. Like if you are in a fight against a team you could keep pinging a downed enemy to keep tabs on them getting revived.
Thanks. I was wondering what the reason would be. Maybe it was tested, I would have thought that that wouldn't really be an issue seeing that, if you can tell by seeing (or hearing) the downed hunter it seems difficult to reliably ping them. Especially as it would take the attention of the fight. Just seems like a very niche scenario.

They need to think in terms of gain balance and abuse mostly, in the death stream where they said this, they mentioned people “ scanning the horizon and checking bushes”, so the concern must be when you can’t see the body but the game has line of sight

@slate fossil Yeah that's a good idea. Doesn't have to be limited to fresh hunters either, it can be any trait that you haven't entered a match with yet. They've added the little orange dots to indicate which traits you've picked up in game, they could re-use those in the menu to indicate which traits you've added recently which can be refunded safely
Personally I'd be happy with the complete removal of that penalty but 90% of what bothers me about the system is the penalty for a fresh hunter, I typically stop caring after that as I have the majority of my "mandatory" traits at that point

Need help contacting Crytek - Account wrongfully banned after 1 match
Hey everyone, hoping someone can help or point me in the right direction.
Last night (early hours of the 22nd), I was playing Valorant. After finishing, I launched Hunt: Showdown. I played one single match, and right after, my account was permanently banned.
I am a brand new player with only about 15 hours total in Hunt. I have zero motivation to cheat—I was honestly still learning the basics. To show my support, I even bought the current Battle Pass and some Blood Bonds shortly after purchasing the game itself.
I believe this is a severe error (false positive), possibly related to having Valorant's anti-cheat (Vanguard) running before launching Hunt. I have nothing to hide.
My Request: Could anyone help me get in direct contact with Crytek's support or security team? I am pleading for a manual review of my game data. I authorize them to check all my match replays and logs. I just want a fair chance to prove my innocence.

It's not the same progression as other hunters
so there are new challenge lines after they removed it a year ago. I guess it's a challenge not getting exhausted by the overhelming overusement of Winfield and Pax.
i'm already so sick of everyone running the same hunters with winfields, event challenges not being the same for everyone was a good change and should apply to these stories too.

i just think, ideally quests should avoid swaying individual matches too much, that's why everyone being given their own individual quest requirements is nice
(and also trend towards more broad quests in general: less 'hunter damage with Ranger 76', more 'hunter damage with compact ammo'

Exactly this. We had it before during the weekly challenges that weapons weren't that strong. It was just overhelming how many players played the same weapon for the first 2 days. And now it's worse and it contradicts what Crytek said a few updates ago.

Remember that those players are divided between all the regions, modes and most will already be in a match rather than matchmaking at the exact same time

On top of that they seem to also use a win/loss streak factor to MMR, so there will be further differences on what MMR a solo or others might have even excluding their usual MMR modifiers

The one that says "Kills/Deaths/Assists" includes your assists and so it is a higher number than the one that says "Kills/Deaths" as that only tracks your Kills/Deaths

Crytek please fix whatever is wrong with the sound, some sound queues are completely gone in some scenarios even when enemies are in less than 15 meter range and there is no sound masking it. People jumping down obstacles and footsteps somehow get completely deafen since 2 updates ago.

Been thinking a little about 2-slot rifle/Pistol balance overhaul.
Basically:
- 2-slot rifles and other pistols moved to around 110 sway (nerf for 2-slot rifles and buff for pistols).
- 2-slot rifles gets reverted their recoil back to 2.0 patch or at least nerfed.
- Trueshot, Uppercut and Spark Pistol retain 128 sway maybe buff to 120'ish sway.
- Uppercut drop range 65m -> 85m.
- Trueshot drop range 80m -> 90m.
- Trueshot Dum Dum/FMJ nerfed to lose more MV as it is hilariously a non-factor atm and basically strictly better than base bullets atm.
- Bornheim drop range 80m -> 70m.
The thought behind this balance is to equalize the playingfield somewhat, reducing the ease of 2-slot rifles and make them more equal to pistols.
Rifles will still have some upsides like general better MV and damage, but pistols now feels more on equal footing vs. 2-slot rifles overall.
I decided to keep Trueshot, Uppercut and Spark Pistol at their old sway, but they have the overall benefit of some the best drop stats and MV and I feel it makes sense these big barrel weapons are little more unwieldly to aim.
I also hope this will make people consider to pick other pistols besides the Trueshot and Uppercut as those are still the most picked guns overall in my experience, for good reason, good MV and damage.
Especially the Trueshot gonna feel a nerf with an increase reduction to MV when fielding it with Dum Dum or FMJ, bc at the moment it incredibly silly with only a MV loss of 1.2%.
On top of my head I would reduce the MV from 405m/s -> 380m/s, which is the same flat rate that normal Pax gets its MV reduced when FMJ/Dum Dum is applied, which I think is fair, no change to drop range loss.
Bornheim gets a slight drop range nerf, just to be more in line with other semi-automatic weapons and also to keep it somewhat in check with the sway buffs it would get too as it could become a fierce headclick with HV bullets.
Think that is basically all and before you ask about the Dolch, erh... I try not to think too hard about the Dolch, it is own whole mess to try to balance.
not really good with the weapon stat side of things but it sounds like this irons out the slot- meta bump some 😄 perhaps the regular pax could get the special ammo Mv advantage, I miss that gun.
Yeah Pax is in a really weird spot of "Trueshot is basically just better" atm.
Hence why I like the idea that Trueshot gets more sway, so if people don't wanna deal with that, they can pick the Pax for better sway and cycle time with the tradeoff of losing some damage.
And if the Trueshot should lose the same % of MV as the Pax does to FMJ/Dum Dum, it would go down to 372m/s, which honestly is a fine trade-off imo, it would still have the edge of being a 510m/s (with HV), 100m drop range pistol then.

Yeah, my ideal Hunt would be to shave a whole lot lol.
But it is needed, and every long running games eventually does that.
Also it opens up more design space.

Mjah, dunno feel like we are reaching the upper limit for traits.
Mostly bc of 15 trait limit, scarce traits and event traits.
And events basically be around all the time, so there will always be 2-3 traits you wanna grab.

there just should be something to make the choice not so hard somehow
the progression is something I think should be reinvented, though I know that a lot like it as it is^^

Think I would move surefoot and witness over to scarce traits, the feel very good and mandatory.
Then I would remove resilience and just make it base for all hunters.
Simply just too good to pass up, not only does it counter concertina bombs and poison it also saves you SO much healing + ofc it makes you harder to kill when getting up.
That at least frees up 1-3 trait slots
interesting idea with resilience, I never take it cause I want more fun stuff but it feels bad^^
witness would be hard for me since I always take it
on the other hand I wouldn't mind if I would have to earn it

And dunno, I just don't see a way to balance resilience so the disparity of having vs. not having it would be more of a case of preference.
maybe some of the health bar ones should leave the pool, they never excite me but they might be good as a normal trait to make some builds better

that's actually a good thing about shadow and shadow leap being scare. A whole team can find it. though it is never really utilised
a whole team with shadow leap can be really strong imo
but they need a lot of enemies
so it's mostly best for travelling the map
seeing as enemies often die in fights
imagine there was a tool that can raise a few grunts from the ground and you can spam some AI as a team and then teleport around^^
Yeah I can imagine that and in general it is just night and day of having vs not having it.
Like we could buff base revive to revive you with 50hp, but that means zero 9 outta 10 times if damage is involved, you'd still die.
Guess 75-100hp as a base revive but then it feels like resilience becomes almost useless.

which are somewhat common [not really poison bomb xd, usually hand crossbow poison bolt tho]

might be worth testing, but usually people die around the edge of the cloud or conc because they try to escape or they accidentally took chip damage from the edge after getting shot

Okay you can easily get out of poison, you take like, 12-13 damage when you get up
Okay, you can also survive a conca-bomba on top of you.
I bled myself and threw the bomb in the air before dying, so it was a whole "fresh" concabomba on top of me.
So yeah, increase base rez to 50, you'll still die to a gunshot, but traps/poison cannot lockdown completely.

Gunslinger Trait to bring back quick swap, which haas been removed for a reason years ago, and equipping 3 pistols and shooting with lightning speed is probably one of the goofiest ideas I have ever seen. And not in a good way goofy.
It still does headshot if you hit the head. The point is: you can headshot people with flechette. No reason to discuss this topic since the comment was only slugs can do so which is in fact not true.

We had quick swap back in the days and there is a reason why they removed it.

#feedback message @tired imp Vigilant can be used to see them from 25m away, same as traps. So there is a hard counter to that. You can’t hear other lethal traps at all, and they’re much more prevalent than dark satchels
it can be placed in spots where it can be hard to see even with vigilant, e.g. clipped inside the token
and you shouldnt be forced to bring a trait anyway
You can make that suggestion in CoD. I already told that they removed quick swap for obvious reasons.
You’re not forced to bring it in. That’s my point. A lot of people don’t bring vigilant in and they just deal with traps as they see them (or hit them). I don’t see why dark satchel is really that different. It gets used maybe 1/20 the frequency of other traps, and usually whoever placed it isn’t even actually monitoring well enough to detonate it.
On most of the rare occasions that I’ve encountered a satchel, I heard it at my feet, cleared out with my team, then shot it from a safe distance.

vigilant is required unless you wanna put your fate up to rng because of how many spots traps can be clipped into things and made invisible
although you can be relatively safe without it, there is always a chance that the weird bit of terrain you walk over has a trap clipped inside it
im someone who doesnt always bring vigilant first game and i just accept that fact when i dont bring it i could get screwed for deciding to move

For me it is less that it is strong and more... dunno... it kinda circumvent the balance points of certain guns, which is, you know, slow cycle time.
So can kinda see the trait becoming three things:
- Really strong by triple stacking the same gun (most likely Uppecut).
- People running triple Dolch.
- Wost case, becoming weak and kinda a meme that will create conflict teams where one side will say the person running the trait are throwing and the other side legitimize it by saying "it is a trait in the game, so it is valid".
Neither of the three outcomes feels ideal for the game.

While I can understand it is fun to run, there is a reason why dualies got their spread nerfed back in the day, because everyone and their mother was running dualies.
Basically, making it a consistent loadout will enables a lot of problematic playstyles.

That is fair, I mean we could have a system of tarot sets, that locks X numbers of consumable slots for "trait space". So like, having The Devil + Judgement (or whatever combo) will give you lesser version of the cards, or even a different buff, but only as long you hold the cards.
As soon you burn a card you loses that effect.
But you can hear it. Like he said, you have to be on top of it, but the fact that you can hear it at all is already a major distinguishing point from the rest of the traps. Plus, when the satchel was louder, there was no reason to use it because of how obvious it was

that's a steep price, would have to be good but it would be another way of playing, sacrificing the ability to constantly go though consumables

Because whoever placed it is very rarely actually monitoring it. If they did anything, they placed an alert next to it. Otherwise, the satchel is really only an issue if you get into a firefight around it and it gets set off as collateral

All considered all these are minor effects for the trade-off of having -2 consumable space.

It's one of these things that don't hurt trying and are easy to make. It's a thing that doesn't exist yet, a passive consumable, why not?
