I'm not comparing headshots fym
And you can do that 0-67m
I'm comparing upper torso shots bro
A slug doesn’t one tap to upper torso at 25m
Go in the range
Damn my bad g, must be 1-2m off
I believe it’s actually 16-8m I forgor
Maybe actually 15m, I’d have to pull up a vid one sec
Oh wait what was the point again? Oh right, my shotgun can 2 tap someone up to 47m on torso hits. DAMN! THAT OUTPERFORMS WINFIELD
Cornf, my god up in heaven, I love this guy's content
.
Except you know… you only have like 9 slugs, + 5 per box and unless you are committing to a meme loadout, you will run out with- and that’s assuming you hit ALL your shots and there’s nothing involved like cover either
OH
and you are using specifically the crown and king
Dude it's just hitting the person twice on the body with slate
It's not rocket science
Not the specter, not the Romero, no the slate
If I intend to use my slugs outside of 25m I would run ironeye to aid the ROF
The numbers on the table say one thing but in reality it doesn’t work out that way
Otherwise it’d be way more common
Just saying
Dude there's plenty of people who are unhappy of how slugs can 2 tap up to 30-40m
You can argue “BUT IT DOES IT DOES IT DOES” yet it doesn’t work out that way, it’s just too costly of inputs and risk for a majority of players man
I mean you can keep saying that but until it becomes a commonplace occurrence in game, I doubt it’s actually a problem
The risk is literally losing ammo, like every other gun
There’s a difference of losing 3 of 9 compared to 3 of 30
And you only get 2/5 back vs 8/20
Especially when the slugs themselves also don’t have extra ability like pen bleed fire or poison
Sure everything is sunshine and rainbows, pre nerf Dolch was fine too because not a lot of people were complaining about it.
Damn uppercut should get it's price reduced
No one was complaining about uppercut before the nerf
I mean you’re literally choosing examples that were well known to be issues, and still are to an extent
Centy bleed needs a buff because it's not used often
That are still talked about lmao, so thanks for supporting my argument?
Slugs are well known issues that majority of the community agrees with
Are you supposed to be supporting my argument lol?
Mmm, used to- before their nerf
Sure let's throw off the balance of Centy
Bro is speaking to speak at this point
You really don't seem to get my point do you?
Man I gotta get back to my compact ammo Nagant, the best shotgun in game
You can't go "I can't aim with slugs, therefore they aren't an issue"
I do, and it saddens me you accept that as truth
If buckshot can't 2 tap you from 40m away, why should slugs?
☝️🤫🤔
Blud just walks away from an argument because he can't justify his end of the argument
IDK I dont think any party wins a debate in #feedback-discussion
no matter what the topic is haha
Imagine a Crytek gamedis sitting with in a "didn't ask + don't care" pose right now
They do that to majority of our suggestions :(
Dats the sad truth
It is what it is. I hope they at least read the treads sometimes
I know that Violet at the very least reads through suggestions and feedback
wholely doubt anybody pays that much attention to this channel tho
theres so much slop to sort through
to be fair a lot of suggestions are not very well thought trough in many ways.
and some take some time, some suggestions got implemented 2 years after the idea got some initial popularity in the community.
is reddit a more popular platform to give devs the ideas?
afaik this is the right place and they read all suggestions, all feedback and afaik even quite a bit of the discussion
hopefully you are right
how many more years until the reconnect works?
Probably 1000
When pigs fly
That too
@midnight wolf just to add to your feedback, the last documented changes to the matchmaking system were a vague, “we have tweaked the match making, should feel better now, let us know” no detail as to what had been done, nothing. Since then there has been endless posts and examples of very unfair match ups and crytek as you say have said nothing, just put their heads in the sand.
tbh the radio silence is what pisses me off the most. gives the feeling of utter indifference. I don't need facts at this point. I don't think there will be anything coming before the update anyway. I'd be happy if there was a "Hey, we heard you. We're looking into A, B and D but can't C at the moment. You'll hear [some date] from us." Or even a "We're not doing anything until the update is out". Anything.
Even when we do get a road map update so much of it is hollow empty words… they told us Servers were no. 1 priority for the year, well 2023 has been and gone and the servers still feel as bad as they did. They said they would look into stopping QP affecting BH mmr, well I guess they looked and figured they can’t do it but are not about to admit it. The reconnect feature has had zero improvement since its janky creation and it still barely works. No word on when that might get better.
@unkempt maple It was also night half of the time, be careful what you wish for
im not afraid of the night. your terms are acceptable
Just to give a lil reply, we are ALWAYS watching matchmaking, both the data and the feedback. Always always always. Nothing to share on possible changes right now though.
Always?
Noted
I appreciate your answer, Violet. Your jobs as CMs isn't easy. I've been there. I just want to make clear, that all I am saying comes from the deep wish for this game to be excellent. I've been there from pretty much the beginning and you (the whole team) have a jewel here.
Many of us just wished there was more dialogue between you (again, the team) and us as the community, fans and customers. It feels extremely disheartening to see months after months without meaningful communication or even something so simple as a post on the website's news page about what's going on and maybe that you actually heard us. (I know, there's plenty of whining going around as well). At the moment from my POV it just feels like the hand organ player is playing something and us monkeys have to dance to it - even if we don't know the tune - and getting slapped for it.
An FAQ or a little (public) status update from time to time would go a long way to restore some trust.
I understand what you're saying. I am a Hunt player myself (over 2k hours) and play many other games too. I will continue to do my best to get whatever I can out for you all, the players.
Yo, you can't buff the drilling but you can lower its price.
The drilling has to be one of the hardest weapons to balance given its 2 tap potential.
But if you go messing with the recoil, which is what keeps it in check, we're gonna have a bad time.
The drilling has such a unique niche place. It excels at mid range, loses in extended duels with a shotgun back up.
Its strength is versatility. It doesn't need to excel.
We're already swimming in mosin dolch because money doesn't matter.
I might drop my question about special ammo in here as well - not sure where this kind of post would go
been holding on to it for a minute but w/e
...
I'm asking mainly because of Dolch FMJ giving - IMO - quite a lot of extra power to a gun that didn't need it.
The team usually have some really good explainations for additions and changes, which is why I'd be interested in a dive on the design goal of special ammo - and where the dev team is headed with further Special Ammo additions! 😄
At least personally, initially the perception I got was Special Ammo helping define a weapon's niche ( such as Nagant Officer vs New Army before they both had DumDum)
An example of controversial additions would be Crown and King Flechette, Centennial DumDum and Dolch FMJ ( each either due to powercreeping the gun in question, or causing other weapons to become irrelevant once again )
I realize this place might be a bit of an echo camber, so I wonder (assuming Crytek can share) if the data points collected contradict this feeling ( aka the silent majority prefers being able to freely pick and choose special ammo regardless of weapon family )
I am aware of the controversial position of the C&K and Dolch ammos. So putting that aside:
I think originally back in 1.5 when Custom Ammo was introduced, the idea was to define some niches. I wasn't on the team at the time, so I can only theorize as well.
However, over time, I do not think that has held. As everyone who has a lot of hours knows, there's some ~feel~ to each gun in Hunt. Some indefinable quality that each weapon has that makes you or I like it more or less. As more and more weapons have been added, this ~feel~ is increasingly important because each weapon cannot possibly hold its own entirely unique niche. But even as more get added, they still have unique ~feels~! Which is incredible! But it also means that as more weapons are added, what's the point of only X weapon having Y ammo? There's already several pistols that hold the "fast shooting, double action" niche. So why should only one of them have Y ammo?
Just some thoughts from me. I didn't consult anyone in particular to make this answer, it's just an amalgam of my feelings from being on the team myself.
I figured I was either gonna get roasted or banned outright, I appreciate your thoughts 🫂
nah man, I think it's a valid thought from a long time player. But I mean, what niche does the Krag have over the Mosin? None really. What nice did the NArmy fill over the Officer? None really. But like they FEEL different and therefore ARE different. Yknow?
It's one of those things where intent might not be obvious at first glance so I figured I'd drop some 2questions
esp. when some additions turn out to be "annoying" ( for lack of better term)
Appreciate the insight
an example of intent vs perception - another idea that sprung to mind is the custom ammo boxes. I understand wanting to eventually have all custom ammos available so that you don't have to stop and wonder "uh can my weapon take X"
This is getting saved
Honestly I feel like it can be answered tbh tho
I would disagree with your thinking of the NArmy and Officer being the same and only have a difference of "feel", NArmy have better recoil, reload and damage, but at the cost of lower MV and switch speed (which might be a bug but still a factor) vs. the Officer that have worse recoil, reload, but better MV. So as a player I have a choice, it ain't just the "feel" of the weapons that decides one over the other in this case, but an assessment of what I wanna play into or around with the choice of my gun.
Sure they are both rapid fire guns, but they work different enough for there to be a choice.
But then Officer got Dum Dum and one of its major shortcoming got null and for the trade of pen you now most likely gonna push your damage into the same threshold as the New Army.
That is when a niche dies.
I write all of my responses with the knowledge they may be saved 😭 its a curse tbh sometimes i just wanna share my garbage opinions
Big answered it on the spot lol
hello , can anyone tell me short story about new engine / graphic update ?
any news or nah
Those minor stats don't move it to a new "niche" though. They make the guns different (positive), but they don't move one or the other into a new niche. They're not filling different roles
I mean a great example are the weapons you brought up, but also like Sparks and Martini
Secret second account called "teloiV" for garbage opinion sharing, they will never know !!
But don’t the stats difference inherently mean with positive differences, that the guns are better suited for different roles hence fill different niches?
Honestly truth, you can astro turf us and no one would know
Use it to test controversial opinions tbh
From the team of course

Sure the are both rapid fire gun, but there used to be a reason to pick NArmy over Officer or vice versa, the addition of Dum Dum for the Officer made that less of a choice.
I just fear that groups of weapons just end up as "skins" rather than weapons.
Arguably how melee weapons is getting treated at moment, while I think Katana is a little too above the rest, choosing a melee weapons is basically what flavour of "bonk" you wanna bring.
for me personally, there's never been a reason to pick the NArmy over the Officer 😄 And still isn't one. Unless I'm doing challenges ofc
Low recoil can do something and FMJ is still also a good edge it have over it :)
- Swift variant have saved me haha
I don't use custom ammo 👀
I mean, I think just from the examples given it’s pretty easy to make a case for the roles and niches each weapon in the game had prior to the previous updates
One of my garbage opinions
Honestly based, start thinking they were an overall mistake, had 3 deaths today where I could a killed a fool with wall bang, but nooooooooo someone had to deal poison damage for challenges lol :V
- they ruined prestige haha
It’s just as of recently, the spillover of certain ammos/variants + repositioning of melee really jeopardizes the balance of niches that were pretty easily recognizable imo and I think Cree is on point with his statements as well
Nonetheless, would be nice to hear the teams view on this concept
Would really help shape the discussion on certain things such as a possibility for Martini HV Vs Sparks HV and so on
feel like the only time i dont use high velo or FMJ is when im using long ammo
That said, I completely understand if people don't care about overlapping weapons and just want an Lee Enfield that works practically the same as a Mosin.
Some people just want to see their fav gun.
long ammo just doesn't need special ammo ever unless you're sniping from far ranges and want quick headshots but even then
I just don't like the approach being taken on medium ammo, special ammo is being used as a bandaid fix for an inherently bad ammo type
it should actually be the middleground between compact and long with drop off
Or you are lazy and need to set people on fire for challenges.
40m is a lot of leeway for that.
Sparks incendiary ❤️
yeah incen is nice on split ammo long rifles but typically people wont run them on a lebel or mosin (except for challenges probably)
that pen is more valuable
but honestly just hope they review medium ammo heavily, buff its drop off and go back on a lot of the special ammo or nerf them slightly IF medium ammo becomes better
I'm over here like "who can I get on a gameplay stream with little to no notice for this very specific topic"

😭
THEY SAID YES
W
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO !!!!!!!!!!
's why I was hoarding the question for a while
the push was helpful
1 - finding a good platform for it
2 - rewording and rewriting to not cause too much drama or come at it all "CRYTEK YOU DONE FUCKED IT"
someone... out typing me?
I am growing old...
im fast
i type fast
zoomin
unless you ask me to type numbers. fingies too short
uncomf

My work-focused mind read that as "on the steam forums" initially and was confused but oddly enough it would make sense considering it's the Steam forums..
i have a friend who can reach from control to backspace its nuts
i am a numpad enjoyer for numbers that contain more than one character
from the home row, I cannot reach any numbers without actively like moving my hand to reach for it. its why i dont use my keyboard to play FPS
Does anyone in office use a track pad to play hunt?
Asking the hard hitting questions
uh. not that i know of? but honestly, i wouldn't know. I am remote
#game-ideas message people who dislike this... why? a lot of other fps have the option to accept being revived or not
The way I see it: dead is dead and doesn't get to make such a decision
You have to trust your teammates
2 5* and a 6* shouldn't share the same matchmaking as 2 5* and a 4* we aint packing the dolche p with fmj aint a fun fight
yep... the same teammates who revive you when you are being camped by a sniper, or drowned in concertina or poison
plus, like i suggest, if you like being revived without being able to chose when and when not, just chose that option in the game options
Sometimes you get people like that, shit happens. If you go down you have to rely on your teammates to save you.
also i think you are doing a twisted use of the "game logic"... yes, dead is dead, but in this game you can take a bullet of a nitro in the head and getting revived after... so being able to chose if you accept or not being revived is not a "crazy" option that defies the game logic or lore
this also happens in many other games, and in them you can accept or not to be revived... and it does not seem to be a "broken" option.
You cannot communicate at all when you're down. Cannot move, cannot interact with anything. Being able to control whether or not to get revived wouldn't make sense.
I can't think of any popular ones right now, do you have any examples?
Well it’s not an exact correlation but in rust if you’re downed you can either f1 kill or wait for the chance that you stand up
In most games like apex or seige you can still communicate while you’re downed
I feel like with necro in hunt if you need a lore reason the soul/spirit/will or whatever you want to call it isn’t willing to be revived at that time
if you ask me, it could be seen a pretty big buff cause the whole deal with necro is that it leaves the person who is using necro vulnerable
having time to accept it when your teammate is no longer in that vulnerable state is pretty powerful
many others and myself would prefer a decline necro button as its being executed
battlefield added that at some point iirc
@safe mountain
Best to have the logic reverse me thinks. necro/rez works as normal and during the rez you can opt out it which puts the option to rez you on a 10 or so second cooldown.
also I'd only do it for necromancer ( as that can be spammed to get you farmed )
not hand-to-hand revives
@weary fox
Thats too much Me thinks for the drilling. Make it 430. But again we can't touch the stats on it.
that can work too
Not that I remember. You can just call for help or skip to respawn, but cannot really prevent somebody from reviving you (except by skipping to respawn, which you can do in Hunt too by leaving for the menu I guess).
Another good reason for there to be a deny necro button
the only alternative is leaving
just make necro burn off hp fuck it
Tell me what you think, guys - does basic Nagant Precision (not Officer) require a buff? Headshot range at least
Been playing with it today and it seems like a toy gun in the current meta
I think the base nagant just sucks. the precision is gonna suck anyway because it's just a base nagant with a stock. I don't think it'd make any sense for the precision to get any extra headshot range over the base nagant without it being an actual upgrade like the bornheim match.
I mean, just give it slightly longer barrel like the Match?
That's one option, but idk i'd rather just make the base nagant not garbage
I'd be a fan of giving nagant the bornheim match treatment
slightly more range/damage
very slight
on the precision variant
If you die you simply have to trust your teammates to make the right decision. If you don't trust them, reconsider palying with them. Or be more careful so you don't die as often.
I really don't think the game needs to hold people's hand like this.
random queue moment?
!lfg
Be sure to check out our LFG (looking for group) channels to find a partner:
For PC: #na , #eu, #asia, #oceania, #south-america
For consoles #looking-for-group-console & #looking-for-group-xbox
Regional LFG channels: #ru-поиск-игроков & #br-procurando-grupo
that's not random queue
i mean believe me i think a deny necro button is stupid too but 'dont play randoms' is not at all a good solution to that problem
There is no problem in the first place. If your (random) team mate messes up the revive on you, that certainly sucks. But shit happens.. New match, new team mate, new chance to win.
Especially with how extremely forgiving deaths in Hunt are these days.
literally we're being told you must suffer for playing randoms
lol
its a simple quality of life change that is not detrimental to anyone
it only has ups
I just think some of the responsibility should fall on the person using necro. it's too free to just spam necro
It's not a simple quality of life change, it's a massive shift in the "dead is dead" policy the game has had ever since the beginning.
not everyone wants to use lfg or even can use lfg
its a shift? what? denying necro?
how does that apply at all
its like being in a vc and telling your teammate "there's people literally on my body, dont necro"
but we dont have any randoms comms at all
Yes. Dead is Dead, i. e. you cannot interact with anything in the game anymore, you depend on your teammates to save the situation and get you up again.
except that's just untrue when you have premade teams
Yes, third-party comms are a huge issue regarding fairness in Hunt
its not an issue, it's part of the game design
Unfortuantely there's not really anything that can be done about it.
the issue stems when you neglect randoms
i think it's just a byproduct of how insanely spammable and consequence-free necro is for the person using it
randoms are neglected by game mechanics severely
No, the game design intends you to not communicate with your partner when you are down.
except crytek actively promotes this from the inception?
especially with the lfg here
so clearly that's not true, or isn't anymore
And also communication with randoms post-death is being implemented anyway?
there's literally zero drawbacks to someone being able to decline a necro
it only has ups
yeah that too
they're literally adding comms
You are aware this Discord is a third-party platform and not part of the game? LFG on here exists because unfortunately there is no way to prevent peopel from using third party comms.
The GAME does not want players to communicate when downed.
that whole game design may have held true once,
they're killing it now
lol
except they're adding team comms
natively
to the game
again, zero drawbacks to being able to decline necro, its only got ups
wasn't it announced that communicating while dead will be a thing in the future?
yeah that's what taco and myself mentioned
Yes, it's an extremely unfortunate decision. But in line with Crytek making the game ever-easier.
So your argument of it being "the game does not want players to communicate when downed" is null then
Not really, it's been part of Hunt's core identity and still is to this day, despite what may have been mentioned somewhere. The changes haven't been made yet.
but it's been decided though
officially
by crytek
they are the ones who decide what hunts core identity is and they've decided to add full team comms
You seem to have insight into Hunt's development process to know what exactly is being implemented 😉
It was announced via roadmap? you had 2 members mention the same thing in here?
what are you talking about
or dev stream if not roadmap, either way it was told
this is public info
not sure why you need to hit me with a snarky comment
yeah they even specified death comms lol
Well that was something
not sure why they felt the need to hit me with a rude and condescending message
we DO have insight into the dev process lol https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sxVu-IxiiIQ
Want to know what's coming to the bayou next?
Our latest Roadmap is here. Gather 'round, Hunters, as we tell you about all the new features and upcoming changes arriving in Hunt: Showdown for the remainder of 2023 and into the first half of 2024.
Get Hunt Showdown on Steam: https://tinyurl.com/...
Still planned, yes
:NAILS:
@paper edge We dont have fav traits for the same reason we still have to confirm throwing away contraband.
I dont know what that reason is but its the same reason
sadge
the funny thing im playing since the alpha phase and still this simple thing to build in my opinion it hard to request
they are busy to make another copy&paste event with new name and new sound effect but lookout on suggestions that we are ask for it hard them to make, it just seems they don't gives a fuck about the vote in that section and think about how to milk more that game
cause my old suggest got 50+ upvote and nothing happen it just say that they are not even look which suggest get upvote
That’s disappointing they’re adding the comms and death comms…I wish they reinforced the proximity mic chatting…so it feels more like 1800s gunfighter tactics and strategies, and not like everyone on a team has a satellite-radio
#feedback message @lyric beacon First of all its their Server so they can do whatever they want plus Just because Someones Steam Profile says China dosnt mean they are Form there LOL Just Look at my Profile for example
Agreed, it'll take away more of the atmosphere of Hunt
ye it wasnt needed at all imo because if people want coms that bad they can just use the lfg here
#feedback message @copper mantle most ppl i know (even new ppl) have no issues getting multiple done in a single game
even easier when you have teammates doing other stuff because its shared
I mean, how much atmosphere did occasionally encountering a random team and obliterating them because they’re forced to use open comms really add?
Do you know that community managers have nothing to do with banning or "moderating" cheaters? Since your about me section seems to suggest that you don't
It wasn't an attack on your character
I was just pointing out it being incorrect
I don't think that there is one currently
Also since there have been people complaining about getting banned just recently there was probably a ban wave not too long ago
@warped briar Crows can hear minor soundtraps like hanging bottles, cans, twigs or glass. Even with beast-serker they fly off. (I'm unaware if this might be the occasion that happened with you. Though I was mentioning it just in case.)
some of the guys here told me, it is mods who I must ask for the event emoji in the server nickname. is that true?
The vanity roles are at the bottom
got it, thanks
@turbid shell Honestly, Hunt isn't for everybody and if the depiction of dead horses is enough to deter your friend I think he would still find plenty of other aspects to not continue playing.
I'm not trying to be inconsiderate but there shouldn't be arachnophobia-modes or other atmosphere-filters for Hunt. The game has been around awhile and implementing this sort of change would be an expensive task for very little gain if any - no offense.
yo Crytek, i just wanna suggest: You can extend the Event 3 more month, so you can keep quite 3 month longer about "super duper Engine update - which suddenly all infos stopped and never got offically mentioned again 😄 - haha you never dissapoint 😄
Crytek isn't a person :>
you dont say !
They also said the earliest release would be April and then updated that to say -there wouldn't be more info until the Event wraps up. So... now you're chiding them for sticking to their clear statement?
Yeah I understand – I don’t expect anyone to take the suggestion seriously. 😉
is your friend okay with the looks of people rotting alive?
I could ask her, but zombies are a very common trope. As @signal mural said there likely are other factors as well like shooting people in the head which would deter people like that from touching the game. So nevermind 😉
I hope that 100 times in a row they have to play with brainless teammates who revive them under a cloud of poison, or in concertina.
you could find some friends to play with, instead of ranting on others' opinion
the problem with tweaking revive mechanics in any way - they can become easily abusable
or simply broken
like the Resilience with death pact
the idea isn't bad, the suggestion is just a poor way of implementing it imo
should just be a simple button that cancels a necro
no timers or anything fancy
eh, it’s understandable, things like the animal cruelty can be rough and i don’t agree with people giving the idea so much flak but it’s hard to imagine when a majority of the game involves fighting dead/undead dogs, horses etc
I mean, I recommend anyone with a weak constitution not look into the lore of this game lol
They have been lightening up a bit, going more into the creepy rather than gruesome details but
Considering this game is a zombie game, I think it’s a given some gore is going to be in game
Not to mention horses also serve a purpose * fit the setting so I can’t feasibly see them removed in a setting
i guess the short of it is what other people already said, like
if a dead horse would be bothersome it’s odd to not imagine the rest of the game being upsetting
All I have to say is “Hive Lore.” That’s it lmao
i know a lot of people who are CRAZY about horses though so the specific does make sense to me
This game has some really fucked up details but, no one ever really knows about it unless they read the book entries -> which I’m sure like <10% of the player population actually does
a lot of people would probably dismiss it but i don’t think it’s unreasonable to at least think about these things
but not every game can be that inclusive
True I guess, people do tend to react to animal death much more negatively than human death in media
this kind of becomes a huge conversation of morals really fast lmfao
but i suppose the zombie trope is so built into modern fiction meanwhile animal death is a very real and upsetting thing
segueing, when the fuck did they buff challenges because while i don’t mind, i don’t remember a patch note either
Lmao
The lore is pretty schizophrenic, but I know what you mean…although I would say the visuals in the game do (and should) have more of an impact than stuff like the hive story…just look at the piles of disemboweled rotting pig carcasses at the slaughterhouse…
Also…getting into that weird territory where people care more about rescue dogs than their neighbors
What is this game rated? Mature?
It would suck if the tone is softened because some players don’t know what they’re getting into
well, absolutely not
the thing is, like, acknowledging as people that the concern is real is one thing, and actually changing the game at all is another
sadly this persons friend or whatever just needs to find another game to play or learn to deal with it
I try to play a short session after work and 2 of 3 matches I've gotten into are that ashbloom crap.
Make that 3 of 4. What a waste of time.
4 of 5..
HUNT's is a dying rotting world where you are motivated by greed to kill the ones supposedly on your side instead of focusing on the greater good
The game is rotten 100%
American cowboys go bang bang and pew pew for money
Capitalism, am i right?
We love capitalism.
I feel like some ambiance should be added to the bayou when playing
I’m talking distant gunshots, maybe the sound of fighting, people screaming/monster noises in the distance every now and then
Maybe the noises will depend on the weather but as it sits rn, almost 100% of the time any noise instantly indicates players
Maybe it’s time to switch it up a bit and get people to readjust to some minor changes that could alter the vibes of the bayou a bit
Nothing like crawling around the bayou at night hearing some poor sap 1 km away maybe having a concertina armor corner him
It’d definitely fit the theme of Hunt
And add some grim livelihood to the game
They'd have to be pretty careful about it though, since a lot of guns won't even be audible at extreme ranges, so it wouldn't make much sense to be hearing it outside the map unless you're next to the edges. Same with screams and monster sounds, those really don't go terribly far.
Way more cheaters recently than I've ever seen in Hunt. What's going on lately?
where can I report a hacker
Enh, I wouldn’t add too much range to it- just sometime audible in the background-
Maybe to add a minor element of confusion with the gunfire but they could make them generic, as for the screams and monster sounds I think they could be generally audible from within buildings that are open or also on the open ground but not inside underground or similar-
Again, nothing too much or too directional or even too often- but something to add to the vibes
I just got killed by an obvious cheater, we could see on dark sight he was outside the boundary of the map
tried to throw a dynamite to where the orange glow was, no hit
then at exit i was headshot 142 meters away by a mosin sniper
through the map
- Did you record it
- Did you get the name
- Can you go to cryteks website and report it there- because that’s what you need to do
I'm trying to save the nvidia higlight after this ends
Also you need their steam ID if you’re on pc
Get the ID too
From steam, idk I’m a console player
ok
I’ve been told you need to look up their profile, if you can do that- look at their page and bio I believe
Does anyone know if the Devs for Hunt Showdown were ordered up from Wish . com? Asking for a friend.... Imagine having a game out for so long, but every now and then, the game crashes and resets EVERY setting and pretends its your first time booting the game up. Good job.
You dont NEED it, but it helps the devs. They can go through the game histories and see the players in the games. It just helps to narrow it down for them
when that happens make sure there is not a new user folder in the game files. if there is a user(1) delete that one and you should have your settings still.
#game-ideas message @vernal axle so im hacking too? https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561199210184533
ppl are just baiting
no, but it is obvious you are griefing in Hunt
if playing the game is griefing sure 🙂
To be fair, I've run into real cheaters for, like, 5 or 6 times in 2200 hours of playing. Can't say that they are a real problem that destroys experience
You basically do everything, so that a pissed off player would think you are a cheater, and therefor do everything so that their gaming experience would be ruined.
They get sad, they go to your page and see all the fake cheating stuff, get even more sad and leave the game or cry about the ban system upgrade. It is griefing
dosnt realy make it worse if theyr already screaming in voip at me
ye man that screenshot took me whole 5 minutes in illustrator drawing boxes and lines X_X
so what was your point in commenting on a post taht you arent even involved in?
my point is that just going of by a profile dosnt mean ppl are cheating. im happy to believe you if you show clips and stuff but somehow no one that accuses hackers usualy has any clips 🫠 i wonder why
how many cheaters have you met in your Hunt career?
let me call every guy that ever wallbanged a cheater brb give me 5 years to comment on 90% of hunt players
https://drive.google.com/file/d/19uO7Y-sTb5MvRM6gVDSOyxeuH0I-4CQ4/view?usp=sharing Here is a clip from just yesterday of blatant cheating, its alive and well I am afraid.
@hushed current You can change that.
Or just derendering, went to check that spot in trials from blanchett and there's a spot where you can see through to the stairway on the other side
he was derendering the entire building then, because he also shot both my team mates through different parts of the building. Cheating with 3rd party applications or cheating by exploiting the games failures, doesn't matter which... its cheating no matter how you want to spin it.
There is a technical difference though and generally a different punishment as well due to the different principles as well
Both obviously suck and should be banned and prevented
But there is also a difference between someone going out of their way to acquire actual cheat software and someone being 200m away and shooting through something that wasn't rendering because of low settings
Being as the account was set to hidden stats and 2 blocks for a name preventing any chance of getting the steam ID, I will maintain this is no innocent "Should I be able to see them?! uwu??". If they were exploiting, it was clearly intentional. All the details I can give have been sent to crytek support.
Thank you kindly! It's a shame, but sadly I do run into disruptive players too routinely to leave the social features enabled. 😦
Experience bias seems to affect a lot when it comes to voting
In what sense?
How people feel and discuss about issues like flash bombs before, dolches, long ammo meta, desync, etc
By fact you doing feel the same environment in different MMRs
Well at the end of the day most people lack any education when it comes to game design.
But because game design itself is very intangible concept, it is easy to have the confident to think one knows better :)
And most people only know what they experience themselves, so bias will be a greater factor of their judgement.
no wish or need to judge by MMR
however when someone argues that something is fine because "people don't use it much" or "it costs a lot" or "it doesn't feel that strong" and you remember the person talking about their games being in 3-4 star
I agree :)
Especially a game like Hunt just have a lot of a factors where the weapons (tools) can be a major boon for a player that use it.
Compared to local (armature) league football, as long people are equally matched, there ain't really a way people can abuse the rules of the game to get an edge stomp lower leagues or vice versa.
Hunt pew pew
Hunt doesn't grade people by gear score, but games like Cycle and Dark&Darker have. The more you pay, the more capable a weapon, the more effective you are. It might only be very slight, but it's still paying for advantages
Yeah, hunt omits to do a lot of things that would make the game healthier
Ofc at the end of the day someone will think that gun is bs.
They choose not to, probably again because of population size
Is Dark and Darker that much better tho?
Better?
Like in player count
I wouldn't know, but there are people who love it and it gets constant monitoring and hotfixing about balancing whats too strong and not
Old hunt also used to get that :')
But yeah, said it before, saying again, this elusive engine update is my make or break for Hunt.
at least for D&D the quick hotfixing can mean a new update patch in less than a week
very very same
Ofc, gonna be slight fair, engine update + 2-3 months to see if they actually a willing to be more on hands with their game
That's the fairest we can give
because the only reason I have heard for fixes and features being withheld is to build them on the new engine instead
Does anyone else feel like the katana is kind of a problem?
They will just port the game along with it's current bugs on the engine upgrade. I don't have any high expectations, but beefier graphics.
As long as you can pop them in the head, it's not a problem. They'll probably nerf it in time though. I've haven't used it personally, last melee I used, was the saber when it came out.
Katana is fine tbh, only thing is now that it's a 1 slot there's no point bringing any other melee. But in terms of PvP it's in a good spot. If you let someone get close enough to use it, either you have made gameplay errors or your opponent has played very well. A melee weapon gets shut down very easy by a headshot, high fire rate weapons, shotgun, traps or just simply running away and letting your team mate pick off the person chasing you
Personally I don't think the answer to the 1 slot buff to katana is to nerf it, but to bring the other melees up to the same level of the katana. Make choosing a melee a personal choice on gameplay rather than one being outright stronger than the other
high fire rate weapon is not a one shot, head shots counter everything and is not a great counter if its the only option. My main problem is the range of the sheathed attack and the swiping motion meaning you dont even need to aim with it. Obviously its usless if your caught in the open but there is a reason why every six star game has at least 4 or 5 katana players with long ammo rifle
Just make it medium size again. There was literally zero point in making it a 1 slot
High fire rate weapons benefits aren't that it 1 shots? It's that you can fire and then half a second later fire again, a nagant officer pistol can 2 shot at close range. So as long as you aren't sitting on top of the katana and land your shots you win.
I personally bring a katana not for PvP but more for boss killing. While yes I will use it for pvp in close combat it wasn't the sole purpose of bringing it
On a completely unrelated note. Solo self review should have never been introduced to the game. (sorry just malding currently after being robbed of a number of good games by this trait)
i disagree especailly inside buildings if you have time to two shot then they are not using the katana correctly imo
I both agree and disagree, I agree they should not of made it a 1 slot with it being leaps and bounds better than other melee choices. But I think it would be better to bring the other melees that were also being overshadowed by the cav saber up to its level instead 🤔
agreed, other melees need love, hammer and axe are complete jokes
Which brings us back to being outplayed or playing well, which I said in my original comment
While i definitely don't think katana is overpowered or anything, it'd alleviate most of my frustration with it if ping wasnt such an annoyance. trading sucks.
but my point is there is not really a good counter to it inside buildings with corners and tight spaces. Which is my original point but i dont think we can agree on this matter
also its not a BIG problem if it is one at all but i feel like it could use some tweaking at least making it 2 slot again
Using a weapon as intended shouldn't have a hard counter though? It should have small game play counters (like not pushing a corner when they have a katana and keeping your distance) but not a hard counter than makes it pointless bringing it
Stop the power creep
Old weapons shouldn’t be adjusted to keep up with newer (better) weapons
The new weapons should just be properly balanced
I agree, but the old weapons were also drastically underpowered and need slight buffs
melee was fine before, saw plenty of sabers and even a few machetes/axes, then baseball bat was pretty popular. now katana is still fairly common and ive maybe seen one bat and one saber since katana's release
I think the melees were in a pretty solid spot right before bat came out, bat was a teensy tiny bit overtuned in comparison but honestly i think not being able to 1 shot immos was enough of a nerf
katana was absurd though. crazy pve damage, consistent oneshots with the longest range and the strongest attack worked with no stamina.
Melee was in an okay spot, you'd bring an axe because it was funny/a challenge and good for PvE, you'd never bring a hammer because why would you? You'd bring a cab for PvP because of its stabbing motion making 1 shots easier + a bit of extra range on the axe. The bat was a nice in-between, I think it's 1 shot in pvp was too reliable over the other melees but it's fast swing definitely made it a PvE machine
Okay yeah, hammer was absurdly bad. like it was comical how bad it was.
How bad it is* 😆
yeah :L
I actually took machete over saber for pve cause it was funny but bat kinda filled that same role. I think my biggest problem with the bat was that the light and heavy swing were both pretty much identical
besides damage and stam ofc. but like if i was watching a video of someone swinging it i probably wouldnt be able to tell which was which
coulda given it like, a diagonal arc on the light swing or something idk
My issue with the bat and I don't know if it's still an issue, was you could start to hold for a heavy swing then let go the moment they pulled the bat back slightly and they'd swing dealing full heavy swing damage but in a fraction of the time
yeah the heavy swing comes out and recovers incredibly fast
I feel like a much longer recovery time would've been fine, and coulda given machete a bit of room to exist
it's also not exactly easy to swing a bat hard enough to instantly kill someone with a torso hit multiple times in quick succession
I'm honestly surprised we didn't see more hornskin use when bats were going crazy tbh
i tried it and it really just didn't matter. unless you were melee trading, the second swing would just come out instantly anyway
True 😅 I think a good balance to the katana is increase the recovery time after a heavy swing 🤔 maybe similar to the time it takes to resheath, but slightly quicker?
But even with a katana nerf, you'd still need a buff to the other melees. You'll just see people either bring QM for katana or bring either Cav or bat again. The other melees would still be forgotten about because they are useless
Or make all 1 slot melees be 2 hit kills unless headshot, keep 1 shot melee to 2/3 slot weapons
i know melees that dont oneshot are gonna end up being pretty useless but like. the huge sweeps are kinda crazy. i liked the distinction between saber's reach and machete's shorter range wide swipe, and everything that's come out since kinda just makes both obsolete lol
I think making the quick attacks pvp orientated (2 shot quick recovery) and the heavy more pve orientated (long recovery but higher damage) would sit in an alright place 🤔 like you could still use the heavy as a more accurate attempt at a headshot, but if you miss it has a cost
Where as right now I feel the cost for missing isn't all that bad
Tbh the melee weapons that need a fix rn are the Katana (move to two slot), Hammer (needs something unique to be viable, maybe be the cheapest option + have knock down effect?), and bat (slow down swing rate?)
Everything else is in a decent spot tbh
Yeah moving Katana to one slot was one of the dumbest balancing changes.
Indeed
decent = barely usable, you mean
funny like devs finally added a melee weapon that can compete within the meta, and yet there are people who want to nerf it
the hammer would have been a great weapon, if there was at least a little bit of environment destruction in the game: mb exclusive to it and dynamite. like breaching specific wall, floor and fence areas on location (not any)
the lack of destructibility always seemed odd, escpecially considering that in Crysis 1 there were so-to-say shitty huts built of metal sheets that were very fun to destroy
like these
Uh tf?
Maybe this is a pc console disconnect but the Katana is way over powered for a one slot melee spot- it’s by far the best hands down, it was fine as a 2 slot but now it’s just unarguably the best
it is, but it doesn't mean katana need nerf
That means it does lmao
it means other melee needs buff
dude, if you let a melee player on distance of a melee attack - you deserve to lose
And most times people lose
Melee doesn’t really need a buff bar the hammer, and maybe MAYBE combat axe
Not really if it is so noticeably better than the others
and also saber
Not at all
The katana had a good role as a medium slot melee
It was a superior melee but required more investment via traits or med slot loadout commitment
Now it’s a no brainer
Without harming the rest of the game, it’d be best to return it to two slot
As opposed to buff every other melee and potentially make matters worse in an unforeseen way
And I say that as someone who runs melee a lot
Maybe again, perception difference is due to PC Console differences though
You are a console player?
Yes
Melee is a much different animal on console
Yeah, hard to aim and shit
Well, on PC katana feels like finally a single consistent melee weapon. The one that can give you melee kills against shotguns and fanning without a trade
And a good counter against a long-ammo weapons at CQC, which are basically useless against the katana rush
People on PC simply aim much better
So any other melee is an underdog, due to many reasons: lack of speed, reach and sometimes even damage
Exactly why I believe that if it is weapon slot melee - it must secure a kill with a torso hit, no matter lower or upper
And they are underdogs not due to katana being strong. They are just either bad, or close to that. Katana is basically the first melee weapon done right in this game
In a pc players eyes I guess
But the situation just simply too different on console
Explosive ammo sends its regards
Non existant thing on PC, thanks to the console players
As a console player the only bad melee weapons truly are the Hammer and Axe
And true, explosive ammo got the nerf hard because of console lol
And even the axe is still very usable
Like the hammer is just simply horrible
But that’s it, all the other options are good tbh
But then the katana blows all of them out of the water
So that’s why my opinion is as it stands- in context of also not being in favor of giving players arsenals more overall power
As I said, because they are simply worse. It is not a question of katana - it's a question of other melee weapons
As per the difference we laid out
I think katana is so significantly stronger than the other melees that it's odd. and also it shouldn't work without stamina.
When you have one melee that does everything with no drawbacks, there's not really room for the other melees to exist
I'd rather nerf the katana than powercreep every other melee up to katana tier artificially (but obviously there's a middle ground)
Too many cheaters in 5-6* lately time to crack down on the anticheat algorithm. It has become blatantly apparent that the current system is failing
Yeah man imagine with avtomat just shoot out part of wall of enemy boss lair
that would be R6 Siege level of destruction, and it would be bad for Hunt (funny though)
im down
make bullet holes actualy holes
so we can peek through em
nah, it will be terrible
The katana problem being discussed isn't that the weapon is too strong
it just feels bad to play against when trading is forgiving it
it's already loaded with martialist and one click is all it takes. Basically if bow : crossbow
I mean... it is also too strong lmao
Just that the strongest melee weapon is still... well a melee weapon.
then bomblance : katana
the crossbow is inherently stronger because of being horizontal and preloaded and swinging fast
so fast that with the trade window that was never shortened people are killing you without the animation of swinging even showing
just because they managed to unload the martialist swing on their own screen after rushing you with the ping difference
Honestly my biggest gripe with katana is that the X swing is a horizontal swing making it easy to hit with + it deals more damage + it can be used with no stamina.
Just make it vertical
I want to change that too, make Saber be the pointy h attack
No reason katana does that too
I mean it’s not like bomb lance vs katana is bow vs xbow
Bomb lance is balanced by being three slot… katana is just too strong as a one slot lmao
bomblance is a "katana" that needs to be drawn back first (unless you're someone who relies on the light)
a gunblade in effect
katana could be 1 slot if it wasn't just a bomblance without the gun part
it should go back to being 2 slot
keep the axe and hammer buffs maybe, those were never worth 2 slots because of needing to be aimed direct hits
Eyup, katana needs to be 2 slot
it could stay one slot if it wasn't just squashing the machete
I notice they tried to differentiate them a little by attack speed being faster on the underdog options
but that really doesn't do enough to justify being shorter reach and less damage
machete is just a weapon slot heavy knife
Drilling handcannon hatchet got melee, shotgun and rifle rounds and it's a medium slot.
same attack patterns too
Making a melee only weapon medium slot is weird in a shooter game
Drilling Hatchet getting a better sway than its non Hatchet variant makes no sense at all
not going into "maybe more weight means less sway"
It's a balancing choice. You get faster reload with non hatchet variant
but by game balance
They first implemented this change to the omero handcannon and hatchet
So they'd be different
Romero hatchet doesn't have the handcannon buff?
Romero handcannon without hatchet got faster reload, like drilling without hatchet
Also side topic, I would wish they give us the actual figures instead of lots of descriptions that contain "drastically decreased" or such
What's the context? With the drastically decreased
Mithridatist for example
Ah
Yeah that'd be nice.
Vigor is a trait that does much more than the trait description says
You can get rid of poison faster with vigor
Yeah the charcoal
Main gripe is math matters a lot in games
and withholding the values makes no sense other than to confuse players
This is why a wiki explaining these things would be good. I heard people say that hunt isn't like elden ring where you dont need a lot of technical information
Meanwhile i think otherwise
The game doesn't tell you half of it, you have to stumble upon it or hear it from someone else
The original word is against tos and server rules.
I mean... why?
Well, people getting information that's not public isn't allowed.
it's a term used to describe experimenting by running slightly varied trials over and over again
until they get a consistent answer
It's commonly used for the illegal actions
Well, what you were trying to say isn't breaking any rules so
As someone who studies cybersec I have the opinion that saying "data something" is a bad word is dumb
wtf man
Well, issue is that MOST people would just come in here and ask/talk about the terminology in the illegal way.
It's for moderation, there's more terms that could be acceptable but 9/10 people use it for reasons that breaks TOS or server rules
I suppose that makes it okay to lessen rioting
It is a classic case of "this is why we can't have nice things"
Nice things are forbidden.
:(
going back to what we were discussing about things in the game not being explicitly explained
We should have values explicitly said somewhere in game
I don't think there really is more to discuss it than to say we should have it
We've had cases like Lightfoot jumping, where parts of the community have been using this for their own benefits while another part of the community was clueless about it.
This is a mechanic that originally was unintended, but they were definitely known for a long time since they added a Lightfoot jump Nerf, where you couldn't jump repeatedly quietly, and had to wait between jumps.
That's when a description to the perk could've been added.
Those things took a bit of theorycrafting and observing content outside the game for it
Today it's irrelevant I guess, but it's been a long time where more people could've known if the game let them know about it.
I'm not entirely for either side of lightfoot
Tama, if you want to lose your fucking mind, try experimenting with explosives in the shooting range :))))))))
I can see why they would remove something that lets you change angles or sneak around virtually silently (have not heard of anyone who can hear lightfooting)
Try normal nitro ammo and shoot through brick + metal (it will pen)
But if you shoot metal + brick it won't pen.
but also it was one of the only outplay techniques that let you get the drop on an opponent for less trading scenarios
I liked pre-nerf Lightfoot. I can understand why they nerfed it, a lot of people were unaware of what it could do which made it even more effective/stronger
The floor at Catfish on the south side with the wooden sliding door just does not stop frag bombs and stickies consistently
pre-nerf lightfoot was a rofl
It's not the first Lightfoot nerf though.
if you're under and a sticky or frag bomb goes off on top of that wood floor, you're getting the full effect
So with lightfoot being nerfed, I can understand because it wasn't detectable as Hunt being proud of "everything makes sound"
but then bushes are still left out of this
make bushes slow you and rustle more
for trying to move through them
As I've said, explosives in Hunt are consistently inconsistent
Make it punishing to rat silently in them (if you miss and need to start moving)
or if you move at all to reposition you risk giving yourself away
by making them rustle louder
Stillwater has many locations that bushes can be just fully sunk into
Stillwater Pitching forest or forest above Alice and east of Darrow (some call it fkboy forest)
I am not a big bush fun, yet again, bushes in the open are one of the few ways to save yourself from long ammo enjoyers
be like homer simpson sinking into the bush
they can be used for covering concealment but not as a stationary ghillie suit with no disadvantages (no rustling, no slowing)
If you ask me, I would make sprinting in the bushes louder, and also make it easily caught on fire with molotovs, which will completely cover the bush volume with fire, not only the zone hit
is what I believe they fairly should be
Analyzing the second gun Crytek introduced in Desolation's Wake, The Mako!
Is it the best Long Ammo Rifle? it even has Levering! 🔥🔥
Or is it a disappointment?! 🤦🏼♂️
In this video i compare The Mako with other guns in its category to find out if it has a place in the Meta.
Explosive Ammo video i mentioned by @HuntShowdownLab 😍
https://www....
I hope they give the Mako a slight ROF buff with Iron Eye, as its pretty disappointing atm
Eeeeh, still a fast gun and have 1-tap to upper chest on downed hunters.
And honestly Iron Eye increasing the RoF of ANY gun is stupid and shouldn't be in the game, but I digress
Well not very far out, its only 4 dmg from being below that level.
I understand it, it just has to be more consistent, i.e. same percentage for all guns.
I mean sure, but there's no dropoff for 40 meters so it's a big breakpoint even if it's 1 damage away
That might break some guns, but that could ofc be adjusted :)
For me I dislike the fire-rate gain bc it is sucha "mandetory" trait for those guns.
Which is a lot of guns
Think the major issue is that the Mako got added too late when we already have a long ammo rifle over-saturation.
I know, but it just doesn't really feel that significant, esp. since the "important" fights will be vs full health hunters usually, and hence you're still going for that 2 tap mostly. Hence I really think the Mako needs a ROF boost, as currently the Krag is just way faster.
That is because guns like the Mosin exist haha.
That rifle makes anything else secondary.
I think the opinions on the krag are EXTREMELY divided, a lot of people think "oh its pretty good cause its fast and the two taps are nice" and the other half think "not 125? absolute garbage tier, belongs in dumpster"
Well, you CAN play them without, do it all the time, but yeah its definitely mandatory as a first trait pick with such weapons
Sure, but if I pick a springfield because I want to have fun, I get out-gunned by someone else picking the mosin.
I love the Krag, been my main long rifle for a long time, and still is
I think trying to bring the mako up closer to the krag's firerate without that 124 weakness might be problematic
because while yeah i think the krag is really strong, if it was 125 i think it'd be TOO strong
Word, this ain't about buffing other long ammo, but nerfing Mosin and Lebel.
I think the mako performs reasonably, it's just that there are some guns that continue to dwarf every other
Thing is the Krag has other benefits on top, like the faster reload and MV which makes HS easier
610 vs 540 m/s is not joke, it can really be felt
So I think giving the Mako 1.5 sec ROF (currently 1.6) vs Krag at 1.4 sec, would be fair trade for that 4 extra dmg but noticably lower MV.
Woops you just made the Cenny null.
Cent actually shoot much faster than 1.5, the devs just never updated the stat card since its 20% ROF buff in 2022
I would make the krag 400m/s if it meant it would deal 125 lol
(i already sometimes take fmj on it lol)
I wouldn't, to me 1 tap on downed hunters is not really that important, I treasure effectiveness vs full health hunters more
Sure faster, but why would you pick Cenny over a Mako if Mako got faster?
Because the Cent is still way faster, it can shoot faster than Vetterli with Iron Eye
Yeah its all over the place
Sure, but Hunt ain't about being the fastest shooting gun, but fast enough.
Mako gets a shit ton of benefit of being a 125+ damage gun, like 2-tapping arm shots at 49-50m
So "high enough" fire-speed is very dangerous on those guns
I understand that, different people have different preferences, its just that is what would make the most sense for this gun. That said, fixing the atm bugged cycling animation with EE for the Mako would go some way in itself, as that really throws you off as to when you can fire again
The issue I see is that you are balancing around other long ammo rifles, but not taking into account every other weapon in Hunt should also have have a place.
As I said before, this ain't an issue of the Mako being bad, but long ammo standards are too high.
No I am, like I said I am taking into considering also the Cent, which I would still pick with FMJ (+ dual Pax pistol) for a more versatile build, as it would still shoot noticably faster.
But as I said, don't think fire-rate alone makes the Cent good enough to compete against a Mako if Mako got its fire-rate buffed.
Cent has the additional advantage of a faster starting MV, meaning it gets those FMJ at good MV of 480 m/s, meaning it can pen stuff the Mako can't
Because Cent sure fires faster, but have medium bullets and deals less damage.
A Mako can 2-tap arms at 50'ish meter. So fire rate on that gun is very dangerous.
Cent also pairs with better secondary options, allowing for better fighting ability up close = I typically pick dual long pax with it, also with FMJ. And that load out is killer
I mean, you can get a Dolch for a Mako
Litereally anything can go with a Mako as much as they can go on a Cenny
Then you have VERY little reserve ammo
15 ammo is plenty
Well, ammobox, high ammo backup such as an Officer/Spitfire/New Army.
Quatermaster for LeMat Uppercut?
Ammo box dont give you more than 5 long bullets
That is PLENTY
Uppermat is what I typically run yes, but its expensive AF and requires QM which is also a 6 point trait
Sorry, but if you cannot make 15 long bullet work, I think that you might be playing in different MMR bracket than I
And that is by no means an insult
Or to dismiss your takes
I play in 5-6 star, which sucks tbh
Me too
hovering between 5-6 is the worst
It goes from being balanced to just getting dunked on
And in my experience, 15 bullets + what you loot along the way is enough for 99% of my Hunt matches.
Ive got 2,200 hours ingame too, so trust I know the game in and out
And I've played since Early Access too :)
Yeah same
So I must admit you wanting to buff long ammo, the evergreen meta, seems a little odd.
Or well, the Mako
Which is part of that
IMHO the Mako with a slightly buffed cycling rate (ROF) from 1.6 to 1.5 is in order, I can't imagine that would make it OP at all, as the Krag is still faster, has higher MV and reloads faster (hence it would probably still be my main), and the Cent is also noticably faster, higher capacity, faster reloading and way cheaper
We have to remember that price of the weapon also plays a part, as if a cheaper weapon isn't objectively worse, then the pricing system is pointless
I never pick the Dolch btw, eventhough its the best pistol ingame, the price is too prohibitive for me
I think the Mako is perfectly fine as it is, it is cheap, down the road well at everything it does and have versatility to it with its variants.
Might just wanna see a stat shake up between the Krag and Mako than anything.
Or even better long ammo overhaul, but that is another topic haha.
I'd atleast like to see them fix the cycling animation for the Mako with EE as a start, as that is just annoying as all heck.
They need to speed that thing up so it matches the actual ROF
Yeah
Watch video at time stamp, and slow it to 0.25: https://youtu.be/wANdswr9U3k?t=235

i mean it definitely shoots early but there are much worse cases of shooting during a cycle. the winfield still shoots with the entire gun sideways without iron eye, i believe
You can see the gun can fire WAAY before the bolt is slid back into place:
they need to fix that cycling animation (aka speed it up) so that it matches the actual ROF, as it truly throws you off as to when it can actually shoot again
this is the default winfield lmao

Hunt Patch 1.16. Testing the rate of fire speed differences / time saved of all weapons currently in game using the trait - Iron Eye.
at around 4:50
Yeah but atleast with the Winnie it looks like the hammer is back, its just you can shoot before you as a player get back into sight picture.
with the Mako the bolt isn't actually back into place before you can fire, which is physically impossible IRL as that means the round isn't even fully chambered yet 😄
But already submitted a report on that in feedback, so just hope the devs actually see/listen to it 😛
@unborn sandal i both love and hate that martini
I love it, issue is that it would give it an ABYSMAL muzzle velocity.
But like the idea anyways, still gonna be an interesting addition that ain't gonna 100% kill the springfield compact
Sparps precision type beat
The only problems with the martini shorty is it would operate in pretty much the same niche as the uppercut precision
but crytek doesn’t seem to care that much considering the marathon is pretty much the Winfield
i mean the marathon is quite different from the classic winfield. you lose out on levering and lose 1 round on reload in exchange for better overall stats.
One is a 6 shooter the other is a single shot
Negative, only one user folder. Any other reasons this may occur, so I can have it not do that again when your game crashes?
this game has done everything in it's power to discourage scope usage, and im not even a sniper player. With the new time of days, half of maps are unfavorable scope conditions, which is why so many matches seem empty because players extract early into the match before it truly begins
What he said
if it were up to me i would add option to dismount scope from rifle at the beginning of the game, that way people neither extract for "No ReAsOn", nor do new players feel discouraged from learning
What he said pt 2
guys, don't question the devs. They know what they are doing with Dave at the helm. They fixed all the bugs, and keep the same re-skinned events going like EVERYONE asks for ya know!
Just don't question the masterminds behind this game
I’ve had 6 day matches in a row
Of the like 15 matches I’ve played today, 2 were ash
A couple rain or night
You choose a loadout knowing there’s a rng element to the weather, then you adapt- btw you can use a sniper scope within compounds to good effect even in ash or night…
Or just, use your secondary- like a sniper can do lmao
The real annoyance of rain maps is their effect on sound queues. Scopes still function as scopes on rain, you might just have to use them a bit differently.
Skill issue
Holding in-compound angles is still a great way to play them
which is why so many rain maps or such are empty enough, because those players who play them seriously dont stick around
they ectract instead
like i said, "lmao"
You are the type to remind the teacher to collect homework at the end of the class
whats wrong with that, if I had to do homework, you better believe I want that shit to count. Not my fault the other kids didn't do it.
Their problem, not mine.
nerd
Im picking you last in gym 100 %
@cerulean elm you can join my team, welcome to server
No argument just attack me lmao nice discussion
Empty? I seem to find players just fine
Now I can’t aim well enough to kill em but they are there lol
3 MMR will do that for you
3 MMR, 5/6 too
I jump through all the brackets cause the MMR in this game ain’t stable at all
Makes sense you are still in school. Highschool was an easy waste of time. College was even worse of a joke... but here we are, in real life society, talking about picking last in gym regarding a video game. GG all
❤️
i like your teeth
❤️
@vague island holy crap that was such a great idea but loadout look should definetly be tuned down
That's uhh... pretty sad
is ping on servers getting unstable again?
@unborn gyro I wish I could actually upvote feedback posts
@round shale You happen to have a video of this? Never had any issues with dogs unless I missed and if there's a problem it should be looked into 🤔
😛
@long compass Genuinely a genius idea
Honestly it would be a pretty interesting idea to make it combined with Serpent Moon
Honestly surprised there isn’t different types of night, I mean truly different
Serpent is just slightly brighter green tint
There should 100% be a Super dark night, Bright night (serpent), and normal night * the weather aspects such as rain, ash, and fog be modifiers on top
Why is the matchmaking so ungodly bad? I play with my friends (trying to get them interested in the game) I'm 5 star at the time of matchmaking, my buddies are 3 and 4 star. Back to back games get put into games against full 6 star stacks. How is that even fair/fun?
Fair

@weary fox I really think most people are over exaggerating about cheaters and are not objective. I, myself, tend to suspect cheaters in everyone when I am tilted or just have a bad day, but in the end I just need to git gud
Like, again, I've only met 5-6 cheaters in 4 years of playing Hunt. Yet again, while playing Elden Ring (400+ hours on release), which also has EAC, haven't encountered many cheater either, and they are a VERY big problem in Soulsborne community
The point is, EAC seems one of the best anti-cheat options available. Definitely better than Battle Eye
Are you referring to people who only use dedicated cheats like aimbots and ESP? It certainly sounds like it if you've only encountered as few as you claim.
You seem to be ignoring all the sad dudes who use things like Nvidia profile inspector which is 100% cheating. There's no way you can say only a handful of people are using that. There's videos out there of people bragging about abusing it.
It's first time I hear about this thing. What does Nvidia profile inspector do?
I tried to reply with a YouTube link but discord won't let me post it.
give me a name of the vid or send dm
Will do
Check out Huuge on youtube, he catched over 400 certfied cheaters on while SPECTATING them on twich in live and saved everyone of them in an excel (name, steam name and so on). As he says, thinking someone is (not) cheating or spectating them and seeing it are 2 different things. There are way more cheaters than u think
have you watched the video yourself?
Feels like you've missed the nuance and skipped straight to "400 cheaters"
I’ve watched it yesterday, and he sayd that over 270 of them were actually banned. Atleast thats what i understood with my not so perfect english
Majority of that is just Asia servers, with most people who complain here not playing on those servers
Way more people will agree that there's a cheater problem on Asia server than that there's a cheating problem on every server
I'm from Asia, but Asia server is red 231 latency, I wish crytek fix this issue soon
I think a zombie horde outside the lair would be a good idea to prevent people from camping there.
and what about the campers inside? :)
I feel like a zombie horde outside would just make it a pain to siege since they'd just stay outside and be a nuisance to attackers. If anything, it would promote MORE camping since escaping would be harder
A zombie horde when called sounds pretty cool- just let a set amount be set to aggro inside the lair and the rest be natural aggro
Kinda like how in trials the zombies just know where you are
Zombie horde on banish sounds good, especially when someone attacking may have Shadow trait
But I would do it a possible event, not guaranteed
Wouldn't it just move camping... further away?
I just think we need a mechanic to encourage people to actually try and take a compound instead of sitting outside waiting for the bouny team to run into their scopes
But well, my logic is just: If the compound becomes an AI fiesta, then you just gonna sit the compound over and wait for the bounty team to move
Tbf if you sit in the wrong compound then it’s basically a free run to the extract though- so, not a free sit and wait lol
Dunno, except for back door extracts you can always keep yourself outside of Darkside range and intercept
As for encouraging taking bounties- there is already a mechanic in place
The bounty, it is called Hunt: SHOWDOWN already-
We have a time limit, if you want the bounty that badly- you can sit and wait or make a move where you just gotta take initiative
Nothing wrong with two teams playing to their strength
If the team uses up all their DS without leaving the compound that’s on them
Oh I never take the bounty when playing the way I want to. Kill the boss, banish, get the heck out of that swamp.
And they can shoot back lmao
If they have shotguns well that’s on them
Uppercut exists, upper mat- etc etc
That is less the point. The point is that the horde thing is not gonna encourage people to push in.
Rather to stay away and wait.
I mean I agreed because I thought it was a cool thing, I want ai to be a bigger aspect of the game
Sure, but I still think it is important to acknowledge it ain't gonna make people camp less
Which is was proposed to do
Fair
Also just match made with a new player with a flashbang
Oh boy are they in for a treat when it’s shown to be useless
Damn, they actually made good use of it
Good on you little buddy, helped with the Dragonsbreath play
Ran into 2 on US east today
bleh!
Match made queues?
helllo guys is there any dedicated official crysis community ?
look at the r/Crysis reddit, there is a Discord link there. this is for Hunt Showdown, and until they release Crysis 4 this will likely be a Hunt exclusive channel
Sent you a DM as I'm not too keen on a mute by automod
yeah that was my concern too so I didn't link it
Ngl, Dragonsbreath is a pretty bad main Shotgun ammo but it’s really fun
Nothing like hitting someone 4 times with levering Dragonsbreath only to see that if they actually do go down- they are instantly burnt out lol
Yeah but on the other side of the coin you can shoot someone dead on from 8 meters and they shoot you back but because they chose slugs or buckshot they live and you don’t
eh imo thats kind of the gain/loss of custom ammo in general
except for niche things like fmj and spitzer which are generally better by most purposes
but, imo for example, most custom ammo types losing penetration ALONE is a huge disadvantage
i play DB at a distance and just fuck around, trying to hit a shot or two and burn off a bar before i go for th ekill
but i also have been loving the rival DB
Can we have an emergency fix for people abusing the MMR system to lower their MMR by intentionally dying by necroing themselves over and over again as a solo and also going into Soul Survivor to get their stars down. There are people that should be in 6 star lobbies in 3 star lobbies abusing these two exploits.
I see a lot of discussion around the current MMR system (4-5 stars myself, just to clear this out), and I just wanted to know, wether people are aware or not why the MMR system works this way
Because it is very easy (from technical point of view) to make matchmaking strict-MMR, but it is most likely done opposite way to avoid long queues and empty servers
MMR abuse is just a side of this, and I agree that MMR lowering in Quickplay must be fixed
I, myself, play on Russian servers mostly, and as the usual time I play they are often empty and MM takes a while
So making MMR strict is a bad idea. Fixing the abuse is not, though. And by the way, the higher enemy's skill, the faster you learn how to play better
Dear Crytek/Devs, please give us an in game friends list. I have a group of 6 friends who love hunt. 3 of us xbox and the other 3 ps5. We would love an easier invite system for crossplay console. An in fame friends list would fix this issue so we can add each other on hunt. Thank you if you read this.
in game friends list would be cool 👍
#game-ideas is prob a better place to propose it
@analog willow The levering tilt is realistic & it also is a great indicator that you have levering as a trait without having to tab to map.
If they weapon only tilted while utilizing the levering perk, and remained in standard position not actively firing, I'd enjoy that. But aesthetically, I don't like the look of the tilt hard-locked in for the rest of the time in the Bayou. Perhaps a way to toggle the position? This way each player could decide their own position for it?
I'm pretty sure levering is visible in thirdperson, and it's a visible tell that someone has the trait. I know this is the case for fanning, and it's a useful thing to be able to see.
It'd be kinda weird if you could hold it in the normal position and still instantly transition into fully levering the gun, cause it's held like that for a reason
You can hold “Q” to toggle the position or try using hunter mode
I mean, lowering the weapon is an option but I think they just meant while in the hipfire position in general
Right but if you’re only in hipfire when you’re ready to fire, then
I wish the inputs were a bit more polished. The 'lower weapon' binding in gunslinger specifically is beyond janky.
the amount of times i hold Q to lower my weapon and it does absolutely nothing, then 5 seconds later i release Q and it quickswaps to my other gun
Also when i time it just right after ADSing and it tries to re-arrange my guns in their slots instead of just lowering the damn thing
But then there's hunter mode which is also weird sometimes. The fact that it doesn't let you hold m1 to stop your gun from cycling then start a heavy melee? really annoying for the control scheme that's supposed to be better for meleeing
Soldiers hold their guns in all kinds of positions depending on the situation. Most of the time, relaxed
@prisma sundial The video violates rule 4 of our server. We do not allow any accusations with names revealed. I understand that this can be frustrating, but this is done to prevent witch-hunts and any loopholes that can appear if we start making exceptions. The reason why it's blocked is because we do not want to issue individual warnings over it. Many users have been posting the video simply out of concern and they may not be aware of the rule or realize that this video violates it, so simply blocking it prevents issuing a bunch of unnecessary warnings.
Makes sence. Maybe putting what you just wrote in the warning would be great if technically possible. Thanks for the clarification.
It is possible, but we would need a separate automod filter for the custom text to be visible to users without issuing actual warnings. I'll check if we have space for another filter when I have time.
@astral pivot regarding your feedback in #feedback , although i do like that idea but I play from India and thats the best ping i get. Asia suddenly goes up to 250 ping as compared to 100. So we have to play in Europe many times during the event. I hope you understand
I agree with that Fhen ! there should definitely be a cap of ping
they should definitely do something to prevent server hopping at that ping
is it 225 ? i thought you don't get disconnected at 225
you dont even get dc'd at 300
To my knowledge you'll never get kicked from high ping during a match bc lol Hunt servers, but you cannot connect to server if your initial ping exceed the 225ms """""limit""""""
225ms is the threshold at which the region selection blocks you from choosing a server with higher ping, that's not connected to disconnecting due to ping.
not sure what the threshold for being disconnected due to ping is
But the server will stop validating any information that is older than 800ms by the time it reaches the server, so there is somewhat of an upper limit, altho there might be a more specific one i don't know the specifics of
shouldn't it stop at 400 ms at best?
I don't know why the threshold was set at this particular limit, my best guess would be potential issue due to network jitter if there's a specific reason
afterall there is regions where the closest server is up to 200ms far away, and then there's potential issues with jitter on top of that already high latency
hmm i see
Also I have been having issues with ping to Asia from India. Is there someone i can speak to about this to resolve this issue?
sometimes there's issues with certain ISP's, or maybe Customer support can help you
Is there some sort of sight misalignment with contraband weapons? Or some other feature that causes bullet misalignment from where you're aiming. My crosshair is on head when shooting, but you can see the bullet hit the tree on the right. Or is this just a connection issue?
The slowmo and length of the clip makes it hard to draw any conclusions
Should I do a pause frame?
Just a normal speed clip that doesn't end so abruptly
@river skiff A hidden Steam profile does not prevent you from reporting them in any way.
@queen jungle I think he means that previously it was possible to open a steam profile, record a video from the game and send it directly to the developers on the game's website. There's even a special section for this where a support bot requests the player's ID. And with hidden profiles, we can't find out this very ID, only the nickname. But cheaters can often change nicknames, and Chinese players and others who use symbols, their names are simply not visible.
I just need to know if I should get a new ethernet card. I think I'm having issues with my new motherboard.
The last part has a freeze frame directly before shooting
You don't need either when reporting someone, all they need is your SteamID, the time it happened, time zone and region to find the person in question
So the point still stands, hidden profile/stats doesn't prevent anything nor does it protect cheaters
Probably just missed because they were running at the time of the shot perpendicular to you, would have hit with a tiny bit of lead or a with a gun that has better muzzle velocity
@crystal plume"Please enter the Steam ID or the link to the Steam profile of the player you want to report. In the case of reports on consoles, specify their nickname PSN / gamertag Xbox. If you are making a report on several players, specify all their IDs/nicknames separated by commas, or specify the rest of the players in your next message below."
I received this message the last time I reported a player on the Huns Showdown website. But it was a long time ago, I went on a business trip for a year, perhaps something has changed
About how far do you think that distance is from me to the player?
I'm struggling to determine distance
You can leave it empty and provide the details I mentioned earlier at the end of the ticket
Or just put a dash in the field since I think it can't be fully empty
Around 25m I'd say
Oh, well, I didn't know it was possible like that. Not that I'm one of those who thinks that a hidden profile helps cheaters.
I'm also surprised that that feedback wasn't about MMR
Okay, thanks. I'm also getting lots of packet loss, maybe around the evenings. Is this typical for Hunt servers, or do you still think this is on my side?
I personally don't have any and can't remember my friends having issues either
I don't have packet loss on RU/EU, if you're interested
Just US West (and East)
It's like 30% of the time. I'm thinking that something is wrong with my motherboard ethernet port, so I'm testing a bunch of games to see how much packet loss I get. I get no packet loss when pinging various DNS's, but get a ton in most games for some reason.
I had ping spikes when I was playing Wi-Fi on my laptop, are you playing on cable?.
Ah i see
Yes. It's to the point where I can't move for a few seconds multiple points within any match (any other games too). This is a new issue with a new motherboard I just picked up.
In this case, I think it's worth checking your packet loss on special sites, then check your Internet connection with your provider, if the problem remains, should you take the motherboard to the service?
Because for a week, my friends and I didn't have any problems with packages on the servers. But we play EU Ru and sometimes AS
Okay, thanks for your inputs. I've tried various tests, and I don't get packet loss with any online tests/cmd prompt server pings. I'm going to try reinstalling drivers one last time then I will pick up a new PCIe card for ethernet I guess.
@plucky creek fanning maybe?
Nope. I just died instantly after hearing one shot, at first I thought "oh, in the head again" But no! Unfortunately, I had instant replay disabled.
Well, now I'm going to think it was Fanning. It's just that the player was too good with it, and didn't spend any more shots, so I didn't hear them.
I really hope crytek returns the combat axe, katana, and railroad hammer to 2 slot weapons by the end of this event because it really has just made everyone to scared to push and everyone that runs a katana just sits in a corner waiting for someone to walk in front of them so they can press attack and win
If someone wants to sit in a corner and press one button to win the game, there is still a huge selection of shotguns. Which are better at everything than melee weapons. On my 5 stars, I meet katana once every 30 games, probably. And it's still easier to deal with them than with shotguns.
IMO melee weapons always have been a"meme" choice
They can still do that but make them sacrifice something for it, I understand that for most higher skill lobbies melee isn’t a huge deal but in the majority of cases it just comes down to people sitting in corners with katanas or other melee because the majority of players don’t have the game sense to always know where to look or what to watch out for
There’s no reason you should be able to just run a one shot melee weapon in one slot and still without having to atleast run a perk slot to fit it still be able to maintain 100% of your range capabilities
That or atleast nerf the katana a bit because the range it has for most of it’s attacks that can 1 tap you anywhere on your body are a bit outrageous
It's different between PC and console
On PC it's mostly a meme and all melee weapons in the end are just melee weapons so their balance don't really matter much
I didn't notice that it was about the console. Then yes, my regrets to those who try to shoot on the gamepad
Katana is 100% 2 slot material but honestly the Axe and Hammer? Those can stay 1 slot
Like the hammer is genuinely the worst melee weapon in the game hands down- even machete is a better option
@plucky creek Regarding your feedback post, weren't they just fanning?
@hoary widget Besides having a cool trailer, Carter shouldn't even be a Legendary ...he's busy doing shows, touring with the safety of his exhibition troupe... do you think he or Annie Oakley want to deal with any of this bayou shit??
As I said, I didn't hear more than one shot after death. If I shoot from a fanning, I never make exactly two hits and then stop, it's at least 3-4 shots, 2 of which are in nothing. Also, what is the probability of getting 2 consecutive hits from a fanning from 13 meters, and at the same time the opponent made only 2 shots
Yeah, now I'm sticking to the fact that it was Fanning, too...probably
@crimson thicket ever heard of "explosive bolts" ?
Those deal like 3 times the amount of area damage, or at the very least it feels that way, I want the Martini-Henry Launcher to reward being able to actually impact someone, not shooting the ground 2 meters off target and still deal 100 or more damage
While I appreciate the sentiment of trying to not make it as aoe-focused as explosive crossbow, the martini already has explosive rounds. I'm not sure I understand the real motivation behind it.
and yeah, explosive crossbow deals up to 124 area damage with a pretty big aoe
I believe it's 125 no? can instakill those who have been downed once already and are missing a small bar
No, you can definitely tank it missing a bar as long as it's not a direct hit
Without bulwark, a direct hit will kill at any range though since the direct impact has zero damage dropoff with range, and obviously the explosive will deal full damage on a direct hit
You are correct just tested it, always thought it was 125 for some reason. Maybe they just direct impact me or I've been missing 1 health when I got hit
Wait
Does explosive bolt only kill on direct hit
And does bulwark protect from a direct hit?
yes to both questions, thats how it works!
Nice
bulwark CAN save you from a direct hit, but it depends on where it hits you i believe
selling my health chunks for levering rn 💸
@copper grail #game-ideas message Do you mean the DLC bundles? Those go on sale pretty hard and they're kind of a really crazy deal (compared to bloodbond skins) because they're bundled. If they were sold individually, you'd still be paying like $8-10 a skin because that's the normal bloodbond price of new skins lol
Just individual weapon skins. There’d be like, a cool katana skin but I'd have to buy a bunch of other shit I don't want. Like "the hunter Bevan the Brave". I don’t want him or the 3 wallpapers or whatever, just the weapon skin
I mean, there are plenty of skins available for blood bonds in the shop, but the pricing on those is typically significantly higher than $2-3 per skin.
Don't get me wrong, I'd love $2-3 weapon skins but it's unlikely to happen and the current pricing of the DLCs is comparatively pretty decent, even if you're only buying it for one skin. I'd rather pay ~$4-5 sale price (or even less) for the bundle than pay 800+ blood bonds for a single weapon skin
Yeah that's why I suggested it.
dlc goes on sale for crazy cheap so if you’re looking for a specific skin i’d just wait for one of those
the balancing on bb skin prices is crazy anyway but that’s a conversation nobody wants to have
even someone like me who doesn’t mind spending money on it some skins are just ridiculous
love this idea also the banishment. the idea of fighting in open air and getting rewarded by the banishment actually giving you usable cover is interesting as fuck and way better than rotjaw basically expecting you to just stand in a boathouse or in reeds.
@latent geyser The reason the lawful pact has its bar recovery ability is to offset the health lost from reanimating dead teammates.
The sealed cache already has a way to recover bars so all pacts have a way to restore bars.
now that doesn't mean the lawful pact isn't the best pact. It is but you should consider the sealed cache medkit which can be used by anyone
The Lawful pact is just infinitely more consistent at regen hp bar. If you're missing one while you're on the edge of the map, you'd most likely won't be going to the center.
I'll be honest the red skull ability never came in handy to me, so idc about that part (big imo). All I see is that if I get downed once and don't have the pact, it's either risking going to a place where people will get to fight more or going for a boss.
@latent geyser "Death pact is near useless" No tf it aint lol having the ability to revive players quickly is huge in gunfights. Also being able to know if a player is down in is very helpful.
Spotting corpses is honestly the least interest trait you can get during this event. I actually don't think it ever was that good. And the addition of the regen is niche af, at some point it won't even work.
In a game where it's about gaining info on the enemy that is the most interesting one out of the three.
Moment of silence for the shotbolt, they really massacred that thing. Only hitmarkers nowadays, no solid kills.
Nothing have been changed about shotbolt.
well something changed, it cant be me, thats now how this works, im flawless obviously.
This is not cope 💯
all sarcasm aside, ive just been getting weird tags with it lately i guess. someone mentioned they reduced spread on it too but idk cant find it after checking.
I would figure shotbolt kills may be affected by server performance, like maybe tickrate or something? the buckshot seems to come out AFTER the hit, so if the tick rate is really bad, it might come out too late to fully hit on a moving target?
That's just a guess though. I don't think it's been changed lately outright, though.
Shotbolt is buggy as hell
Sometimes you can even register getting hit by the bolt (like 20-40 damage) before the bolt even goes off and then it either kills you or just wounds you a little bit more
It’s a great ammo type but man it’s buggy
In range and on paper a hit with shotbolt direct should always kill but that’s not the case
Saw a clip a while back of a close range headshot that direct impacted but none of the buckshot hit so it didn't kill
its not that deep man
looting hunters should always give +1 meds and +1 consumable!
I just want looting hunters/resupply boxes to stop giving out chaos bombs
it feels like an absolute slap in the face whenever I get one after a drawn out fight and need to resupply for the next one
yea and chaos bombs just suck, decoy blanks would be even better lol
Cuz they (me included) like running stupid shit like Nitro bleed + Dumdum 2x and 4 frag bombs over and over
nah that’s real make people actually play normal load outs
every other game like this has economy resets
if you are good and conservative enough you can make that amount of money back relatively easily and it would probably spin the meta at higher stars at least slightly
I run uppercut/Trueshot + [[INSERT GENERIC SHOTGUN HERE]] for like 70% of my matches. If I don't I run something like Drilling or some other medium ammo rifle
i mean that’s valid, maybe it’s different perspective but i’m one of the ppl who thinks that the art of budget load outs has been kinda lost
new players have no reason to use them when you get meta guns off the rip and old players have no reason to use them because they have 400k hd in the bank and refuse to prestige because if they can’t play mosin dolch every match then it might as well be joever
i’m inherently biased though because i’m the type of person that thinks the meta of the same 4 guns is boring as hell and i opt to intentionally use other guns and play styles in order to feel better about myself :^) so i’m all for anything to make any of those other guns more viable or common
Wait that's biased? I thought it was kinda established in the community how boring and stale the meta can get. I guess it's a matter of perspective though I like your view on things.
well, in definition, it is biased. community sentiment, that is different. every time i have talked about my thoughts on the weapon variety the small amount of interactions i’ve had were to the tune of “oh who cares” but if the greater community wants more variety then i’m all for it.
like one of my favorite loadouts is romero hc and nagant p or anything with the hunting bow
i like making money by playing really crummy loadouts and not necessarily spending that money on anything crazy
like, i wish there was a medium between “unlocking every gun is kinda annoying” and “every gun is available, lv1 go run ur dolch mosin”
something to incentivize players to use less costly loadouts
people have said before the idea of a low cost queue and tbh i’d love that
Whoever decided centennial should get dum dum needs a stern talking to
