Yes, but many people weren't taught that as a child. Some don't even learn it as an adult, they just keep spending and spending. And look, I'm not saying the end all be all solution is to fix this issue with hunt. It's a much wider socioeconomic problem, but like, I just want marketing tactics in games to stop being like this. Honestly, hunts tactic isn't even that egregious. However, it is still exploitative, so I don't really want to support that behavior.

Yes, I'm not saying we should look at people buying this stuff like: "oh you poor soul" but because they're having their lack of willpower exploited, we keep seeing marketing tactics like fomo. I really wonder what people want from a hunt event other than the ammo types and stuff. Plus you get those anyway by just... playing... and getting event points just like everyone else
And like. They already give you a skin for every gun involved, like 4 charms, and the weapon unlocks themselves (which are free)
If anything I just wish they'd give us slightly more rewards to replace the story unlocks or add BB or something to those for pass owners
With how long it takes to finish I really think it should give more financial rewards whether its direct skins, BB, hunt dollars, whatever

I would argue the feedback channel serves two purposes. First, it allows people to gauge ideas that they have and allows the community to see what others think.
But more importantly, it serves as a pressure relief valve so that all of the complaints and negativity are confined (mostly) to that one channel.
Except when DryGuyAlex had a brainwave and comes into Discord to spout the first sentence that comes to mind on a Saturday morning. Must have been a rough week at work.
They asked for feedback regarding MM since they did their slight adjustments. They wanted to know if it felt better, and it doesn’t for a lot of people.
Honestly don't want Hunt events, it bloats and dilute what I like about Hunt at a rapid rate, forces me to play more Hunt that I really want leading to burnout and if an event mechanic/perk is unfun, I am forced to deal with it for 2 months.
I haven't played Hunt for 3-4 weeks after completing the event. And I am not excited nor hyped to see another event announced.
Due to the nature of weapons/perks being unlocks as event """"""""content"""""""", they don't get the time for testing nor fine tuning and skipping the test servers all together entering events sometimes broken or OP.
Events are not events, they are 2 months community Q&A.

Aye, it was obvious days into the event that inferno was massively op, but instead of accepting that and rolling out some changes to fix it, they sat on their hands for 2 months and left it broken.
Yeah and also due to the nature of the event, bloodless+ made bleed ammo torable, but now, from what I've heard, Cenny dumdum is stupid oppressive.
Which in turn is an addition that was not needed, but they need to fill the battlepass with something, so now every weapon is gonna get every custom ammo.
Sadly there was very little good that came out of this event, personal highlight’s were the bat (detractors need to remember hornskin is a thing, use it) and the silenced bornheim. The uppercuts are fine but I likely won’t run them and the cyclone is another spammy weapon we didn’t need. Also the statues/totems/effergys this event were truly obnoxious, you could be setting one off and not even realise since they could be triggered out of their audible range. Please never do that again crytek.
Totems are just the same old.

Well, there is a couple of issues, firstly, sparks is already 149 damage, so you cannot go higher than that.
Second, what kind of pen type is it gonna be?

Hm... i kind of thought that dmg, pen, velocity should kind of depend on the tank pressure... So...
I think it would be more realistic if it had its own custom ammo type and was single shot.
So you reloads bullets on r key and gas tanks on x key (same as change ammo type).
It has 130 damage initally, with compact ammo drop off and stats and over the course of 10 shots it drops down to 110 damage.
You get 20 bullets and 2 tanks that both resupply at pick up points.
Upside is that it is a compact silent noise level and decent muzzle velocity starting at 600m/s dropping down to 400m/s.

Well, we can give it medium ammo drop off too, but feel like they won't have a lot of pen. And historically, they were reported not to be very powerful at all.
Maybe actually still give it like 500m/s at the last shot.
But like I think this as a single shot weapon. For the sake of balance and bc otherwise it cannot be anything than a worse Cenny/Vet silenced.

In general I just think the pacts were the worst part of last event, a weird mix of Blazeborne being absolutely bonkers OP with nobody expecting otherwise, Death being sleeper useful but nothing compared to Blazeborne, and Demented being, complimentary to the name, absolutely inane and stupid, and I saw basically nobody using it outside of a handful of people in this discord and myself, because it was nothing compared to either of the two other perksets
Things like centennial dumdum and blazeborne and the like should've been adjusted and if I had to say anything I would want them to do more updates during the event itself
It feels like we got more reactions to people bitching about the wildcard constantly than we did actual updates and balancing to the new items
Which is funny, because that caused me to nearly miss out on 3/4 of the event's worth of wildcard gameplay because I work weekends. Thanks game, really cool, allowing the wildcard only on weekends, which 90% of normal jobs still work 
Wildcard truely needs to just be a permenant side playlist so that people will stop complaining the moment they get into a match that isn't just midday
While blazeborn was strong, I honestly went for rampage 99% of the time first, sometimes not bothering with blazeborn at all and just stacking rampage

See when crytek decides to focus on the event wildcard feature, and asks you your opinion, changes happen when you give it.
The key here is the wildcard feature is the area they feel needs changing and so they look to their stats and feedback to decide how to change it.
Now take the other case of "actual updates"...
Ill ignore the ambiguity of what an "actual update" is for the point of this statement.
In this case it is simply the users saying what they want and crytek has not already determined to change this thing.
You see change is not made because people clamor for it. It is made because the developers and investors decide a change will make the game more successful.
You see how the dynamics of those two situations are different?
Inferno sadly became the only pact that made sense to take, get blazeborn, bloodless and an antidote shot and you were status immune. I picked up death a few times when playing solo, for the added info witness gave me, but that wasn’t really the correct choice. That was the biggest issue, inferno was the correct choice and the others were the wrong answer. Crytek should have made changes during the event, but they chose to leave it unbalanced.
All I am going to say is that player metrics, on either side - developer or community outrage - are not a reasonable method to balance your game. Also see things like Death Cheat from last event that was completely broken for the entire event, and because of Hunt's inability to update or effectively bugfix, the perk virtually ruined the balance of the entire event.
Now, the balancing of these two events are kind of apples to oranges, but the idea is similar. One is bug related (Death Cheat not working properly), and the other is a combination of multiple factors (strong items featured in pass only during event, Bloodless versus Centennial dumdum, Blazeborne in idea being inherently unbalanced for most types of players).
None of these things should be an excuse for them to stop balancing, and while I personally enjoy events, the community reaction is surely one of the fact that they need to balance better for events instead of just praying on the excuse of "oh it will be gone eventually and just won't come back"
I love this game, and it's reasonable to be critical of it... blaming investors and "muh profits" is a self defeating arguement that does not lead to further conversation or any kind of impact or way to follow through for developers
I've only played actively for the last two events, and I can say without a doubt that the lack of balancing during events needs to stop. Especially if they keep doing events as consistently.
I will give the benefit of the doubt and say that the trilogy of the tides was likely planned in advance. As far as I know the beginning and middle of the year were pretty light on content updates, so it would make sense for the end of the year to be back loaded with content. And also hunt traditionally has long events.
Context just ensured: yes the year has been light on events. Devil's Moon went into February 2023, and Tides of Shadow did not happen until June
The short of it is this: Hunt obviously opts for longer events, with shorter questline/bonus little events in between if it happens. If events are going to end up being upwards of 2-3-4 months long, then I don't see why that's a reasonable excuse to quit balancing. I define an "actual update" as an update that adds meaningful balance changes (eg. Bulwark+flash bomb rework) or plain new content (Tides events, Devil's Moon, etc). And even playing for this short of time, those updates feel very uncommon for what is a game with balancing issues at times, especially during events. If anything, updates should be much more common during events.

Still new-ish. Been trying to be a better sniper. Go to weapon is Winfield Marksmen with high velocity, hand crossbow with poison, throwing ax amd Derringer. I like the low recoil , RoF , and ammo capacity of the Winfield but I might need to change that out. Read below
Last couple nights I have been getting hits and doing damage but been getting no kills
Case in point. We ambushed players crossing a bog by the crematorium. No idea how to determine distance but can say a standing man fit completely inside the alert triangle.
I did get at least 2 heads shots, but did not drop anyone. We did win overall as I was able to keep them pinned and life low. However it was a bit disheartening when you see the hit on the head and the people keep moving.
Long range, compact ammo, I get it.
TLDR
Trying to get better as a support sniper. Having issues with landing heads hots or dropping people at range. Looking for suggestions on videos to watch or alternate load outs
Probably better suited to #game-questions my man, but at a cursory read through it sounds like you'd be better off using something with long ammo if I've understood the range correctly.

Martini is a cheap option, but generally not the greatest, assuming max bloodline level and not infinite amounts of money, I'd recommend using the springfield krag or a lebel if you can afford them
Springfield marksman with HV is an excellent "practice" gun if you want to be cheap and practice with longer shots and rifles and such, the HV makes it into a mini long ammo gun basically by extending headshot ranges and stuff if I remember right
All the long ammo guns have different bonuses and sights and stuff, so I'd try all of them and see which one you fancy. Personally I recommend Krag and Lebel because of magazine sizes
I tend to die alot so need to keep things affordable for the moment. KDR is still below 1 😅
Statement "camping is ONLY a problem of design" is wrong in my opinion. You can't just dismiss gamer factor from the equation and blame it all on design, that's just wrong and ignores so many angles.

i would try the springfield marksman with high velocity, and the martini henry for your situation then. both of them pair excellently with a new army or nagant officer for a more reliable pistol.
Camping can only become problematic if the games systems allow it to be.
There are plenty of games where it's not even remotely advantageous, even plenty of games where it is advantageous but not problematic as it integrates into the core gameplay perfectly without friction or frustration.

Players are not at fault for playing in a way that maximizes their advantages or chance to win.
That's natural and predictable behavior. It's the burden of the developers to ensure that players are encouraged to play in healthy ways rather than unhealthy ways.
If an optimal playstyle is unhealthy or detracts from the experience it should be addressed on a systemic level and not a personal choice level lol

I will say I can somewhat agree with trios leaving rain maps (still don't completely like it because matches become more empty if it's rain) but a single person leaving and abandoning the team is a bit unfortunate
getting disconnected from every match since the update. NA west servers. this has never happened before, been playing 3 years. is there an exploit people are using? seems to be happening after i down people or when banishing is almost done.

Anyone else have terrible matchmaking since 1.14.1, all night we've been stuck against lobbies of MMR5s despite only being 4s with a low matchmaking score. Like, why is there a whole 5 star duo in this lobby
My guy you're at least a 4 star, I'm the only 4 star in my group everyone else is 3 and 2 stars yet we get put up against lobbies of full 5 stars and sometimes even 6 stars
But yeah it has gotten worse by a lot, we came back from a break due to this problem and have come back to it not fixed.
Lol, this was just my last match, we had worse through the night but its just been consistently bad. Their adjustment to matchmaking did not improve this at all. Hope they address it.
Dunno about you but I'm only just a 4 star, I drop every like 10th and game still get these lobbies. (drop as in drop down to 3 stars)

Yeah honestly I feel like there's a hard line drawn between 3* & 4* now days. There's two distributions 2-3* with the occasional 4* solo and then 4*+ (ie: 4-6*). My best Hunt duo friend and I are always joking when one of us goes back up to 4*... "You're ruining our fun!", "Good job dying... let's hope it was to a 2* so you derank.", "You need to play some solo before we meet next..." -etc. etc
1* is IMO only brand new players with the "DeathCheat" status still (Unranked MMR) and people who are intentionally stat-tanking to be jerks to newer players.
At least in EUS servers the brackets have always worked this way from my experience
the skill difference between 4 and 5 star players tends to be pretty noticeable but tend to still be playing the same game.
3 or below starts to be... pretty much unrecognizable
Brackets work differently based on what region you play in so it may just work totally differently elsewhere
In the EU & RU servers it felt different before generally with a bracket +/-1* to your Rank. Now when I hit into 4* it's only 4,5,&6.

The actual matchmaking uses MMR brackets on a per-region basis (more populated regions have more brackets and thus more granular/higher quality matchmaking)
IIRC it's something like up to 6 brackets per region depending on population?
And the place those lines are drawn will vary too

Stars* are synonymous with MMR, before you could see it and your general ELO number that the star represented. The greater discrepancy in a duo/trio's individual star rating the more skewed an MMR rating would become for the team. These team MMRs used to be displayed before you even began searching... even using 0.5 denominations. Why they stopped displaying this is beyond my understanding because the system feels unchanged and the article you linked would support that more than ever. I think if you hover over your stars it might still tell you your numeric range.
I guess the feeling of skewed match making is probably typical in a game running over 5yrs. but the inclusion of Solo Necromancer in the latest updates also makes it growingly unclear how things fully get valued for calculating your combat rating.

I feel like the scopes were the worst ideia for hunt, and now, they have to counter it with shitty low visibility weathers, ffs...
Part of the issue here is that stars aren't synonymous with MMR, they're a somewhat arbitrary, inaccurate visual representation of MMR.
When a match is being made it's not using your star rating, it's using your actual MMR, which leads to issues because people expect to be matched with people who have the same star rating.
In reality, the arbitrarily chosen breakpoints where the star borders are cut out doesn't actually reflect the MMR matchmaking brackets that vary per region.
The star system obfuscates the actual system being used to find matches, and leads to a perception of unfairness when people see big gaps in star ratings
Hiding your team's star rating in the lobby was likely done to hide this perception of unfairness, and reduce people leaving randomly made teams until they can reroll the largest possible handicap
All this is just to say that the system players are shown for matchmaking and the actual process used to put players together are fairly different, which makes it feel much more unfair than it actually is.
This is a pretty common pitfall for games these days, as visual ranks (or in this case stars) are always gonna be somewhat arbitrary and only kind of correlated with the way MMR is used in ELO style systems

MMR is an extremely granular metric, comparing relative player skill. Grouping MMR ranges into brackets is always going to be done in a somewhat arbitrary manner (even if done for a good reason)

I'm still sub 100 hours and I'm loving this game. It helps that it forced me to kick my WoW sub into the long grass so when I do get a couple of hours to play something, I don't feel compelled to play that instead.
For the cost of a month's sub, I can get two legendary skin packs! And die almost immediately while using them! It's great.

when i first got into the game i didnt understand the UI a lot so i didnt know how to unlock the event stuff since i never got to the challenges menu lol

I think a larger team size would not work, without a larger map and a new ai, the boss would actually be fucked

The only team size I could see potentially working would be 6v6, but that brings a whole host of problems. Part of the fun of the game is not 100% knowing when someone is nearby, or making use of animal alerts to pinpoint that someone is coming your way.
Everything currently is balanced around a duo, which kind of works for trios, because it adds scarcity

I think the only thing about SS pvp is it encourages some odd movement that doesn’t work in BH
Like I frequently can rotate on top of people is SS, but that doesn’t work because in BH he has 2 teammates watching 4 other angles
There's literally nothing at stake in SS, so you don't have to be quite as cautious

I typically get Wellspring around 300-315 my fastest ever was a 330 I believe
That's how i got my mastery with them when i tried getting all of the masteries
I think the concern around bigger teams is that it would remove a lot of what the game is about. Even trios to an extent does that, but not severely enough that I'm gonna stop playing it.
I think there is a way to have a mode for larger teams
And just imagine the buff they'd have to give solos to compensate for going up against quads.

Russian servers are quite certainly located around Moscow and yes, Moscow and a big chunk of Russia is part of Europe. I would say that the EU and RU servers are too close to each other and more Eastern location could be beneficial. Then again most Russian players could be located around Moscow for all I know.

Right now we're in this weird world where two separate payout concepts are counteracting each--other, with profit incentive really driving the reasoning far beyond what it feels like to be here.
Hunt wants money fast, so they make DLC's, but seasoned hunters have Blood Bonds, so they are less likely to buy the skin unless it genuinely hits a spot.
@velvet silo I think if they just added a lighting sound similar to health recovery it would be enough. A lightning bolt falls from the sky when someon self resurrects, that way even if you are a bit away, you can see that person resurrected, but they are safe from being trampled.

Yea but it's never always that. You can make a hundred BB's a month easily, so after 3-6 months you can buy a nice item with BB's. The game gives away BB's all the time.
But those free BB's are also profit loss, so they can't be the sole way to get skins.
There is no cap, it's play to earn, and Mr. Cheri gives them out.
Earning them with the challenges is the sole and only consistent way to get them compared to the ones you used to get per game.

so my last match my 4 star team got him self killed 4 times and was killed once on res (so my fault i suppose). i went ahead and got 5 more kills to get the bounty token and res him. he decided to claim im the one who killed him cause i wasnt backing him up. (im 5 star) despite me being there shooting them and landing my shots. so he decides to nade me on exit spawn, steal my 1200$ guns and messaged me " thanks for the loot".

i'm late but bb conversation is kind of a double edged sword.
on one hand you get more consistent blood bonds now but on the other you couldve gotten marginally more blood bonds but in smaller amounts in the other system
to be honest i actively prefer the older system
it rewarded players who played a LOT and i think the game needs more of that and less of just forcing people to play like 2 or 3 hours a week for a couple challenges
but then again; this is from the perspective of the consumer, i am well aware that play like 2 or 3 hours a week for a couple challenges is probably the best for the sakes of crytek's numbers
cuz its a finite amount that adds to player retention (weekly challenge system) vs the rich (people with too much time) get richer (get a ton of blood bonds just by playing an ass ton)
tbh my take is that now that its said and done, i dont expect them to go back to the old method of getting BB, but what i will suggest, is i wish mastery and pouches/registers gave slightly more, mastery especially should be a lot more
like, the later masteries, should not be like. 5. or whatever they are. give people reasons to use these weapons and change their loadouts other than filling the book. like at LEAST make it 5 EACH MINIMUM if not 10 flat per mastery unlock
it would give people something to do in the background, keep them playing and is still technically finite because there are only ever so many masteries in the game
it would easily probably be hundreds if not thousands of bb, depending on if they go for 1/2/3/5/10 bb per mastery, but it would be a reason for people with thousands of hours to keep playing and change their loadouts

People will always complain, they will just shift the metric they complain about, if they can’t see the mmr range, they will complain about the KDA, or the number of kills vs their own, or sheer amount of play time vs their own.
I don't think a no MMR matchmaking works well for hunt because there is a distinct objective and everyone is encouraged to engage in one place. Tarkov uses that system and it's more okay because the map is open to interpretation on what your personal objectives are
I do feel like your MMR and kda should not be displayed, at minimum not so clearly as they foster undesired play styles but not using sbmm is just not the direction I think hunt needs

Finding a niche for guns is fine, because if we add yet more obtuse rifles with kinda semi auto or whatever, most of them will end up off-meta somehow and that's work that could've gone into something useful.

Sadly lots of people really care about their KDA and would likely stop playing if they couldn’t flex about it, so it’s doubtful crytek would remove it, they know people fixate on it, more than wins or losses. Ask players if they would rather go in a match, kill a load of people but ultimately die, or go into a match, get the kill, banish and extract with no fight at all and most will choose the former.
Different strokes and all that. Depends what you're after from the game. If you manage the latter by being sneaky about it then I can see getting some satisfaction from that.
Oh sure, we all enjoy a free bounty from time to time, but a few of those in a row would soon get boring. The PvP is what keeps people coming back and lots of players would soon lose interest if they could show how many people they have sent back to the lobby.

That would work for me, I simply like to keep tabs on how I am doing, I would like a monthly or quarterly KDA reset (keep the life time one as well) so you can gage month by month how you are improving. I have nothing to brag about, mine is a fairly average 1.23 and due to how long I have played now it takes hundreds or kills or deaths to move at all. Might not work for everyone though, people do love to brag and they might move on if they lose that ability. Good riddance from my perspective, but of course crytek don’t want them to leave.

This is in fact how random can work. Getting it does not remove it from the pool.
Being in different unlock trees means they can add custom ammo types to one but not the other. Unlikely to change for this reason
Balance between a single and double action pistol is gonna be different etc.
#game-ideas message Gotta say it again. I do not understand this feeling. Is your problem more with the balancing of the perks? Do you feel they are too disruptive? Is it the quest design that feel tedious/restrictive? These are thing that I can understand and to an extent sympathize with. However, I think requesting the devs to stop giving us new content is kinda silly. This allows them to tweak gameplay loops with the perks without having to release new game modes or maps. The uppercut is in the same tree as the cadwell pistol and has different ammo types and ammo pools. The only difference between the nagant pistol and the officer is the ammo pool as both have the same special ammo types.
Nobody is saying they dont want new content, just a break from the events. Like the suggestion said, people want to have fun with vanilla hunt and not worry about pact traits that Crytek is terrible at balancing. I also don't want to grind yet another fomo battlepass to 50 or a 100 to get a skin that I want, this is where the burn out starts to happen.
Like seriously, just put the weapons in the progression system, put in a new weather type without an event.
I can understand the FOMO creating a burnout with how they have structured the battle pass and focused on the quests you have to be. Especially with many of them restricting your play style. Especially for players that are not able to dedicate many hours a day to playing.

@blissful vapor I want to be a bit pedantic and say that the Crown and King (Or Clown and king as I like to call it) isn't AS historcially bs as say, the vetterli cyclone or the Avtomat. The gun was designed in 1898, 3 years, or 2 since I think post the Chinese hunters DLC the game takes place in 1896, so it kind of has reason to exist. But yeah, the Cyclone is utter bullshit, especially given that the gun used black powder and that is in no way a good propellent for a gas operated gun. And the Avtomat is just dumb. They legit took two WW1 weapon conversions and slapped them onto two guns that it was not designed for.

@sick wind If melee weapons don't OHK they are straight garbage, because you forfeit an entire weapon slot to have absolutely no power past 2m, and then there's shotguns, shotguns in pistols. On top of rifles with bayonet or talon attachments, or a shotgun barrel.
And if you like neither of those, there's still fanning, and even dualies or the hand crossbow.
But maybe you don't want to commit a weapon slot then theres a tool slot shotgun, or you can wip out a knife which OHK's just fine with a bit of effort, maybe even throwing axes for that reach advantage. Or use some fire or a hivebomb to make sure the pusher is a OHK to a rifle by the time they are close to you.
But if people insist on ignoring all those possibilities to adapt their loadout, they will IMO just need to accept that their loadout sucks in CQC and thus don't take fights in CQC.
The options to beat melee are very very plentiful, and melee weapons are possibly the weakest category of weapons in Hunt precisely because of that.

Also feel if the hit-box was a little more tighter for melee weapons it would fix some of their lethality.
Knife is very generous with its stab when it comes to hitting head/upperbody.
(And weirdly enough Bayonet/Saber is very finnicky to hit with).
The knife is a downward stab & the bayonet/saber is a straight plunge. It makes sense that the hit boxes would be different. I think knife's strong attack being an OHK makes sense if you hit their head/neck... which is generally easy to do at it's range. IMO most melee is well balanced - if you're taking a knife you are foregoing knuckle dusters - the easiest & most stamina efficient way to kill most PvE. Melee's only PVP advantage is enemy positioning - as an OHK isn't a guarantee - and they have to hope the opposition doesn't have fanning, levering, a double-action, dualies, a shotgun, or decent counter melee skills (duck, hop, or counter-melee).

MMR system is not working currently . It is IMPOSSIBLE to move down in MMR. We keep losing match after match and we are still stuck in MMR 5-6 games. And for every of those eyerolling moments you get killed by melee - the guy trying to melee propably has two or three where they stare down a shotgun barrel, die in a hail of fanned pistol shots or end up trading with their dedicated melee weapon against a bayonet attachment or knife tool

True, flares in game do not freefall but still descend fast enough. Plus the flare just has maybe 10m light radius. This version would be more like real life flares. They would stay in air and have 75m radius. That's why regular flare would be perfect for indoors and sometimes good for outdoor, but Mk. II would be prefect only for outdoors.

I ways so dissapointed when I was first starting to play Hunt, and when I knew night maps where a thing i brought flare guns with me. I got lucky and got a night map and a flare gun so i was excited to use the damn thing, only for the first fight to happen, I shot the flare upwards and the thing descended like a rock, never touched the flare gun again
I honestly think it does not need a "Flare Gun MKII" just make the current Flare Gun work as described, starshells doing the same thing would be pretty neat too

You are referring to the Luffwaffen Drilling which were made in WW2. But Drilling just mean "triplets" in german and is a classification of a combi-rifle.

Honestly there are enough guns & weapons in the game. The uniqueness of each is beginning to get lost entirely, especially as ammo type availability per model becomes less strict.
I think tweaking and fixing existing assets should be priority. I feel like that's often my critique with many aspects of Hunt Showdown: dead vestiges. Useless tabs, unupdated tools & gear, unused gameplay incentives...
like - the people who play a lot getting essentially unlimited money and being able to just run mosins, dolch, or auto 5 every game without any incentive to use the older cheaper stuff?
Balance around money is not good balance, even if was 3 times harder to obtain money it doesn't feel good to killed by a strictly better gun just because someone paid premium for it.

I think it makes little sense, especially as a weapon. The lethality of a blowgun was largely reliant on poisons, which don't work the same way in Hunt as IRL. A headshot with a light projectile from a blowgun wouldn't be leathal. It'd ultimately just be more clutter.

I'd like to see a mini-crossbow that would be categorized as a tool. Maybe something attached to your arm that you can use to dispatch AI. Less powerful than the hand crossbow (can't one-shot a hunter even in close range), but still practical to progress on the map without going loud with the other guns
