I probably would have had more of a problem with it if hunt still played the way it did in 2019. That's long gone though

The thing with self res is that even if it's op (I doubt it) or leads to undesirable game play (baby sitting corpses), there are a lot of tuning factors that can be implemented. Revive delay, amount of health bars lost per death, time limit, etc
So it can be fixed if it's annoying on release

thats assuming it is broken in the first place. that's a matter of opinion though and the devs most likely think it is not broken, because if they thought it was broken they wouldn't introduce that change.

i am happy with changes, but i am also happy the way things are for the most part. It's not mutually exclusive to want both.
I dont know whats so hard about beeing inclusive - a not so minor part of the community wants a change it seems. Im totaly in to test the feature and balance it.

It's literally not gonna incentivize that many new players to just go solo cause of one perk. Going solo into a match already lowers you into an MMR bracket with players of lower rank. Why is the higher ranked player who chose to go solo gonna get a chance to revive themselves if they messed up? No one forces you to go solo. You already get a bonus for extracting.
Doesnt matter what I think though cause the majority want it this way. It just feels bad.
As a matter of fact i started the game at the beginning of the last event and played about 200hrs Solo and nearly completely quit Solo after the event because it was just too punishing.
Its not welcoming to people that play Hunt alone and just want a fair experience.
I don't know if many duo/trio only players realise what a huge benefit a revive is a solo just doesn't has. A trapped barrel? Done. Screwing up a Boss fight? Done. Lucky head shot from some Dual wield Dude? Done. Those are cases where you have at least a chance to get revived by a teammate.
Self revive is a dramatic change.
And all this stuff really books down on the Solo economy and MMR.
Sure you get double or triple the bounty rewards for extracting.
But you certainly die twice as often and extract 5 times less.
(extreme passive or rushing players maybe can get away more unharmed/richer)
The lower MMR scaling for Solos is another topic on its own that is a really double Edged sword.
Sure you're playing against potentially worse enemys then yourself but...
Stars don't tell everything and youre still 2vs1 - with how guns and RoF work in Hunt you're always at disadvantage against a good coordinated team and by the amount of firepower.
And as you are playing against lower ranked players you lose more MMR than you gain.
A Solo player has to make 2 kills for 1 death to even stay afloat.
This gonna be even more of a problem in the future if youre taking the chance to self revive and dont succeed. (in the end this will ofc be more of a problem for people who play against this unfortunate Solo)

I have played since first day of EA primarily solo. The game is clearly not the same state as it was at even 1.0 launch. You arent convincing with your statement to be honest.

Self res the way it was during the event was weird af. Not sure why it's coming back basically the same way. Solos get a pretty huge buff now and should be matched in the same mmr
I think the actual mechanics of how it works are fine, but they should look at the mmr adjustment for solos given that they're more powerful now and that they get a bigger underdog bonus

broader distribution is not really necessary, adding more bracket divisions would change things though.

some regions have more brackets than others depending on the regions player population

Well what does brackets even mean then
dividing players in MMR ranges.
in other games the brackets have names like bronze, gold etc. and you mostly will only be matched with players inside same rank
that's why you sometimes have sudden jumps in the other players skill when you are just on the edge to rank up in another bracket/rank

afaik it's not fluid but pre set by the devs for every region.

There are railroads all over the maps and railroad stations. Why not incorporate a moveable train in some way? It must be player activated and automatically stops at every location available on the railroad. Along with this idea there are barricades that other hunters can activate to stop the train. The train system would be quicker and safer to get from point A to B but is also a loud notifcation to all other hunters. I also think that a gamemode where hunters are on the train to protect it and respawnable hunters are trying to stop it before it reaches a location would be fun.
Another idea that bugs me is those horses at the extracts. They are invincible.. what if shooting the horses extended the extraction time? it would give them a purpose. and it would help hunters slow down others from extracting.```

Ok - nope - doesnt work that way. If a hunter keeps on burning he just insta dies again if he doesnt have resilience.
burning removes max health not current health, so it would work.

A revived and still burning Hunter would even have to make the decision "Stop burning or killing people instantly"
This would be neat for team revives aswell - keep it fair.
And it would make firebombs even more viable again.
firebombs burn for 2 minutes, so they aren't too bad.
The idea in the suggestion channel to remove liquid firebombs alltogether and make every firebomb liquid is a great idea aswell.
yeah not much point to differentiate between them, it also is only a 5$ difference between both variants.
i also wish they would consolidaten some of the traits in to one, to reduce bloat. like the iron traits, the scopesmith traits, steady traits etc.
I wish there was a steady family trait for iron sights pistols. Or idk, make it the other way around, the longer you aim, the more sway you get, but initially it's more or less like a rifle. We got fanning to make pistols viable close range, this would be a long range counterpart.

Exactly. If these people can't adapt to a solo reviver, then its hard to imagine how they can play against duos or trios who could necro their teammate. Solo revive on test server has made things so much more interesting. I could definitely see some tweaks to it for sure, but as a RARE solo player myself, I love it.
When it comes to game tutorials. Have a contest for the best Video Tutorial and include a link to that on your tutorial page. It would provide a great introduction to the game.
Hold on. Is the new tutorial mode going to completley replace the OG training mode?? I have 5300hrs and I still use training daily. And the new one is extremely limited and makes me super sad. I thought there was a huge opportunity to open training up as more of a sandbox, full maps etc.
I heard people mention a practise range but not sure
Maybe they will add a custom made practise range later on to replace the testing area

I still feel like the best nerf for it would be for it to do less damage when it blows up on the other side of the wall of you.
If I fight 3 duo teams at boss lair after collecting all the clues, end up killing 5 ppl but die just before being able to start the boss, there is no reason I should be getting only $150. That isn’t right. Too little money being earned for what I’m doing. Instead of only being able to earn money by killing boss, increase it for other ways as well such as player kills.

Why? Snipers are not even in the meta anymore. I see one so rarely.
What I think would be a balanced nerf is to make it so you don't bleed unless the explosion takes at least 1/3rd of your HP bar. I think its fucking stupid to have a fragment hit your toe and oh noe, you have a live-threatening heavy bleed that takes 30minutes to patch.
Spyglass should also have its own slot and not be considered a tool

True. Didn't even think about that, but makes total sense!
Afaik scopesmith doesn't reduce or increse sway at all - it just means you don't have to exit the scope to work the guns action.
and the steady hand/aim traits don't straight up make the sway value be a smaller one from the beginning, instead the sway gradually lessens the longer you ADS, IIRC reaching their full reduction after 7 sec of uninterrupted aiming - which is significantly harder to just put into a single value stat
True, but if the hidden gems of history aren't exposed, we don't get to see them. The Evans is probably not a great candidate due to the reloading process (I know I wouldn't want to animate it, lol!), but we could end up being pleasantly surprised. It's more about making a point that there are really cool things hidden out there that give them permission to play with weird stuff they didn't know existed. Thanks for the response! 🙂

I know that not everyone likes the bomb lance but it's one of my favorite weapons in the game. As I was using it, an idea came to, what if the bomb lance had the opportunity to act like a crossbow. So i was wondering to the community and developers if it'd be a cool idea to add another custom ammo for the bomb lance which featured a regular harpoon that would be recoverable, much like the crossbow. The ammo would make the bomb lance silent (but only with that custom ammo equipped) and the ammo should cost a bit more due to the fact that it would make the bomb lance essentially a very powerful melee crossbow```

after some time you can just tell if a player has deranked, numbers only illustrate that and I definitely not gonna upload vids for feedback
total kills give some confidence on whether the stars are the result of the giveth/taketh thing
and well yeah, my kd is not that much higher and even tho I play solo v trios almost exclusively, I rarely touch 4 stars

There’s two categories of six stars: those that are actually good at the game and don’t meta abuse every match, and those that are only six star because they crutch avto and mosin spitzer. That’s the reality of this game. If you don’t want to face that then play meme loadouts and drop to 5 stars
It’s not the fault of the matchmaking, as it is simply placing people with similar recent kd against each other. It’s the fault of the 6 star community for valuing wins over fun, and using broken loadouts to achieve those wins

they shouldn't blow up barrels, but not because they have no penetration. Bomb lance steel balls have no fire anywhere in the mechanism, they are just steel balls launched by a spring, that wouldn't light anything on fire

I am asking to make the placement easier. and I believe that the alerts do matter which side for barrels. an example is maybe I just came up/down a stair and want to put a trap down that blocks off a path. one side may conceal the trap while the other side makes it easy to spot and unless you are confident with jumping the trap you will be stuck putting the trap in a less then ideal manner
the side does not have an effect on triggering the traps but the side matters for concealing them

I play a lot of Solo (I always think these justification statements are bizarre) and I was against solo revive necromancer (especially in the Devil's Moon rendition). I ran solo necro during the Event and more often than not it felt cheap, IE: reviving for the 4th time only to catch the duo off guard and stab them dead in the chaos of finding me alive again. I haven't had time to get on the Test Server but the initial change sounds like a pretty tame rebalancing. I still think the major issue with Solo Necro is the MMR imbalance... if you solo que your MMR search range is already lowered, dying to the competition (especially multiple times) will tank your MMR even quicker. That or K/D snipers that go solo necro have a safety net...
The doubled Dark Sight feels excessive. 7 max with 2 seconds for looting dead/clues would have been enough. The Serpent boost I however I find okay... it could have been 1.25 instead of 1.5 range but I think this is the best balanced bit of all the solo buffs. If the bounty-token team doesn't take the bounty before you can Serpent it that's their own fault.
There’s only three ways for a solo to get away with reviving:
They are miles away and sniping (somewhat difficult and very boring)
It’s a very complicated fight with 3+ teams (A necro is just as likely to happen)
You’re incompetent and can’t cover a single body with a numbers advantage (Don’t be an idiot)
The only thing that feels excessive is the serpent range
I felt like that too originally as well but thinking about it people should just pick up their bounty as soon as they can anyways, only time it will happen (if people start finally picking up their bounties as they should) will be if another team is keeping them busy to a point where they can't grab it, which isn't that often
I agree that people should just pick up their bounty but I feel like it encourages solo players to grab it and run. I know that hunt is supposed to be about playing the bounty but allowing players that much headstart once they yoink the bounty makes it practically impossible for other players to react in time and catch up

This is a known issue. However, fixing it would cost money that Corporate would historically rather spend on making 3000 new skins (as evidenced previously by their handling of the misfire bug & lemat exploit).
In other words, there's a reason games companies these days don't fix issues, or just slap bandaids on them and call it a day; and it's not that they don't have money to fix them.
So it's just easier to add EAC (which demonstrably doesn't work on anything that's not a blatant spinbot) and pretend the problem is solved, rather than actually investigate better ways to eliminate cheating.
Tl;dw the devs know, and probably care, but corporate and monetization don't and so nothing gets done about it. I am also a massive cynic.
Actual answer: the devs know and have taken measures. Theyve made posts about it on the forum.

do you mean the reload bug with the misfire bug? because the patch that had the lemat exploit got rolled back and the reload bug needed a whole system rework which has been done and should be in 1.12
I am not sure what you mean with not fixing them when they have been fixed, one by rolling back the update that caused it and the second by several potential fixes which ended up turning into a whole system rework 🙂
My problem is with how long it took, how temporary measures (like temp locking the Lemat) were not taken, and how monetization kept pushing out skins in the meantime while the entire community every CM kept ignoring yelled at them to stop releasing DLC and fix the game

That's true, but allocating more resources to programming might have.
dlc releases have been once a month for a long time, this specific reload bug has had multiple potential fixes that did not entirely fix it which then turned into needing a whole system rework which does take time
I can understand that it was frustrating but it was indeed being worked on and a priority
Maybe if Crytek hired more programmers and fewer monetization people, we would have gotten a dlc every 2 months and an earlier system fix. I don't think anyone would complain about fewer DLC and faster, more robust updates with fewer launch bugs.
I know more programmers don't stack speed like a d&d bonus, but a bit more would probably help.
And that is the public perception, not helped by general vagueness of the devs and CMs

Obviously it's not useless. It makes the Nitro apply a heavy bleed and not every shot is a one hit kill. If you don't die, you are so close to dead that you have no choice but to immediately bandage. It still penetrates cover just fine so it's not like you're safe anywhere. And unless it's been changed or I'm completely misinformed, Shredder increases the OHK range. I think it's an incredibly ridiculous design and has no place in the game

Anyone else who survives saves the cost of their loadout & gets a little cash based on lootables. I think changing that would just make the in-game economy even more imbalanced.

@rotund oasis The test server exists to test the new builds. If left-side peak & the reload bug are really fixed and something else didn't break as a bi-product (ex: the LeMat bug/glitch from the last reload bug fix attempt) then it is good to go to launch. But if people don't play on the test servers then Crytek doesn't get the valuable feedback they need to make sure the patch is working as intended, then the Community gets a broken patch that leads to a bunch of angry backlash & people crying "didn't you guys even play test this?!".
I am anxious for 1.12 to hit the Live servers too and didn't test much other than the new tutorial - I played some Live server games last night and the reload bug was pissing me off hard (it felt more frequent than ever) -but- that's why both you & I should get on the test server and make sure the fixes are legit and give feedback about the test server and not impatient feedback that it doesn't go to launch sooner. These fixes are huge and it has been a long time coming - let's not rush it. Let's help 'em get it right.

Steam profiles do not necessarily show EAC bans, they only show bans that are related to valve. There is a functionality in EAC that allows a game to also automatically create a steam game ban whenever an EAC ban happens, but as far as I know Hunt isn't using that.
And Diiba is kinda right here, as long as you cant provide evidence for your claims it's your word against the word of the devs, in which case they are the more credible source.
As to the clans that are clearly cheating, consider this: how clearly are they actually cheating? Because most likely crytek will not take action unless they have undeniable proof someone is cheating. So if those videos can be explained by a combination of luck and skill they might not be enough evidence. In the end it's better to have some cheaters not banned than having some innocent people get banned.
EAC bans appear as game bans on profiles afaik even with Hunt

It is a configurable option when you implement EAC in your game. Some developers don't like bans showing in player profiles

@outer wedge I think clear night should stay in standard rotation. Pitch black night would be great as a Wild Card. I think a Weekly Wild Card rotation would be awesome. Maybe give a multiplier bonus (Hunt dollar & blood line XP) for people playing Wild Cards too.

I feel like they are aiming for reducing the frustration of the people who do not care for night as it has been shown that people leave night/fog maps more often (which is why they reduced their chance of appearing in the first place) so if they were to add a darker night it wouldn't make sense to put the current night back into normal rotation
I'm not entirely against dark night as a separate experience, but man is it going to make everyone play slow

I think there has been four different iterations of night, right?
- Pitch black
- Full Moon (Clear night)
- Dark night
- Serpent Moon's Green-tinged Night
I think they are all pretty cool. But Full Moon nightime has damn near full visibility, akin to the day maps. There's no real reason to remove it from standard rotation, especially if fog stays.
I'm sad to see any variety for the atmosphere leave rotation but it could open new opportunities to see some really cool changes to make nights more enagaing with more diverse load outs & tactics.
Not sure where the difference between pitch black and dark night is coming from, there's been just this one night that has been adjusted based on player feedback back in like 2018 by making it a bit brighter, the serpent moon's night was the only different "iteration" of it 
Wouldn't be surprised if even the original night versions had full moon but were just darker, I don't think that the moon was changed on purpose to reflect the nights being brighter

Either way I'd be happy to be able to make actual night loadouts and see nights evolve more... like seeing firefly swarms, hearing owls hoot, Inferno Wild cards at night, and other details.

Here's a suggestion. Put weapon sway back in the game like before the 1.0 launch. What a dogshit decision to remove that so early on to placate the scrubs that want COD weapon stability.
Weapon sway puts a soft cap on player aiming skills and makes shooting less satisfying as it puts too much importance on RNG.
If i had to choose between "I died because my aim was bad" VS "I died because RNG sway screwed me up" i would always choose the first option as aim is something i can improve on.
If you need sway as a perceived "hardcore" mechanic to feel more elitist and being above a "COD" Player that's not the games fault.
Sway takes a second to kick in. If you just shoot right away you won’t have any problem. Sway helps combat corner holding and camping with snipers

Like aperature users. Scan they area unscoped and then when you seem someone aim in and take the shot. Don’t just look at them for 5 minutes hoping they sit still for a free shot. Also you get steady aim or whatever it’s called

Title: Legendary gun skins not working with other gun options is frustrating.
Details: Let me give a concrete example. Say I have the "Augusta" legendary skin for the Winfield M1873C, however I don't care for the un-scoped versions of the gun would much rather use the Deadeye, or Marksmen, or Sniper variants. The unfortunate reality is I will never get to see or use the skin because I will never purposely buy the un-scoped version for bounty mode, and the times I might get the un-scoped version off a recruit or in quick-play, it will be the un-skinned base version. This has even prevented me from buying DLC's because the skins are for the wrong version of the gun I would like to use. If this were resolved DLC sales would increase, and players would be happier, and the games balance would be unaffected.
Anyone know why reconnect leaves the game audio in shambles?

@fair ether it's a cool idea but they'd have to convert it to shells, making it either break-action like the LeMat (seems a bit far-fetched on a carbine-length revolver, even though it was a percussion cap shotgun) or add a loading lever on the side that'd push the shell out like on the conversion.
Or, even better, not convert it, make paper cartridges and have it be muzzle-loaded, making the lengthy reload real.
I'm an advocate for paper cartridge muzzle loading actually, the loading lever makes the process fast and easy, and adding the percussion caps makes the reload long enough to justify another 5-round fast-firing shotgun

That's the main reason why dedicated melee weapons are pretty much obsolete
Hitting the head is easy enough with melee, limiting tool melee to just 1 shotting heads (which is how it works most of the time already anyways) won't solve anything imo

I prefer balance over realism in instances like these 😄 There's basically no reason to bring a dedicated melee weapon when a knife can do the same they can, range doesn't matter when you start introducing client to client positional differences and the ability to often trade when meleeing as long as you time it right
Actually, depends where you get stabbed. Human skull is actually quite good shape for not getting penetrated by stabbing.

Another reason why taking OHK away from Shotguns and lowering the max damage on most long ammo guns. If the game would evolve more around 2-3 tapping or headshotting the meele weapons would be probably picked up a bit more again.
yeah, but then if shotguns suck at their own range, and long ammo is basically glorified medium ammo, there's no incentive to take them either. which sucks.
i won't lie, as much as i hate shotguns, i do really like how shotties and long ammo are positioned right now in the meta; especially with the addition of jankier weapons such as the krag or the lemat carbine
it makes sense for most long ammo rifles to outperform medium ammo : they're modern weapons that are objectively superior to their old, black powder counterparts.

Medium ammo would actually be more viable aswell to long ammo because they are faster for same damage. Where long ammo would be the go to just because of the range and pen.

that said, the counterpoint to that argument is that tarkov does have OHK mechanics with most weapons and people love that stuff even when you lose everything when it happens to you

Friends of mine quit the game because its just so boring at times because of those stalemates or the infavourable position you have to get yourselfe into just to get the game going.
So for me thats a clear indicator the game is really not that okay and still could use balance tweaks.
stalemates turn into a high risk, high reward situation imo
which is literally the core design of this game
they're camping inside, you can't push? well, if you play it smart you can still push and get the upper hand
consumables are there for that
they're camping at range? exit from the back, rotate behind cover and fuck them up
that's also risky because they can anticipate it, but so rewarding when you do it right
people are camping the extract? do the yo-yo strategy and pick them in the open
there's always a way to get around a stalemate and finding it is part of the fun

i rarely ever do that; i'd rather have a fight and have a good adrenaline rush than be passive and extract
at most what i'll do is rotate out of scan range and murder everyone when they think they're safe
unless i'm literally at the other end of the map and already heard shotguns in the boss lair. there's no point running for five minutes to get onetapped as soon as you get to the lair
The reality of gameplay especially in high elo where people playing the most effective way it unfortunately just doesnt work that way.
People extract if they dont get the boss because they dont wanns deal with stalemates. Shotgunners camp inside. Long ammo outside.
idk mate i'm playing on EU, upper 5-low 6 stars, and rarely don't see the whole server worth of hunters in a match

Even a 75m lead for the running Bounty Team means you Most likely wont get Them. Either you immediatly realize when Somebody flees or you Camp ectract, which can backfire when there are more than one.

Id guess 250m just means to get a one shot headshot but still cmon 23m is less then 10% of the guns "effective range" of 250

Make a mode where you don't lose the hunter or at least bring back that trait that lets you keep it but without any equipment and you're paying for it with a trait slot. Game was actually FUN back then when people didn't camp for 40 minutes or puss around beyond all reasoning when they coulda supported the one guy that charged and killed 2 people and won right there and there! Thins game is unbelievably grindy as it is at least make there an option to not have actual BUILDS on your guys and not have to spend hours building it every time some dipshit gets a lucky random on his dual pistols!
As for bugs how about fixing the one where hand crossbow poison arrow just breaks on a crow on a ducks head and the poison cloud is not triggered so you end up scaring off the birds instead of killing them silently? Or the one where shit (including hunters) falls through the floor or gets stuck or slides around on perfectly even surfaces?```

Surprised that my suggestion for limiting red skull/bounty revive to 1 time got a bunch of downvotes. Don't you folks think it's exagerated right now? I mean, a team barricated at the bounty can just reviving teammates AD INFINITUM, making the situation boring and only adding to the already frequent stalemates, IMHO.
To be fair, why are you not pushing anyways? I'm fine with redskull revive being taken out of the game but how are you not pushing by now when their team mate is constantly wasting health reviving their buddy?
Sometimes you might not know if their buddy is unprotected, though. Especially in teams of three.
And bounty teams usually have an advantageous position with the bounty building, so free red skull resurrections is almost more guaranteed than not.
The reasons health chunks are there in the first place is to push the idea that life is not forever in that game. There is the threat of permadeath. With unlimited red skull revives, that threat is slightly snuffed, in my opinion.
Once again that is on you for not pushing in, you have a team as well so that's not an excuse, they are reviving and taking away their own health to get someone up.
That is a perfect opportunity to push in because two team mates are one shot.
Mhhh... still not an excuse for odd game design choice. You don't have to push in Hunt. That isn't a requirement, nor is it the only way to play. The mechanic overall is tedious, and pushing in might just get you blasted while you're trying to figure out where the lingering others are.
Constantly having to worry about the dead in places where you cannot necessarily reach in that moment is just another wall of frustration built up for little to no good reason. I don't want half of my battles being a hunt for something that burns, either. If that was the next point to make.
So you're blaming your skill issues on the game because you're not caring to push in when you have a clear advantage to kill the team because one of them is busy reviving their team mate. Sounds very logical.

One person dead doesn't instantaneously mean an advantage.
If you were to blast into the situation because one person was dead, and you got bent over with a shotgun from the other team because your team wasn't stupid enough to rush in as well, would you blame that on your team then for being cautious of a potential enemy team resurrection in a disadvantageous position?
You even stated earlier that you were fine if red skull resurrections were taken out of the game, so I don't see the point in bantering about this.

Couldn’t agree more about not adding self revive. You choose to queue solo, and to be ad a disadvantage in exchange for higher rewards. You shouldn’t be given a bunch of perks just because you decide to play solo in a team game honestly, the increased reward if you manage to win is more than enough.
For all rifles effective range gives you the range in which a headshot kills a full health hunter.

Thats pure assumption. Not everybody plays solo for more hardcore gameplay or higher reward. Some solo players just dont have friends that play this game or they wont deal with random teammates for whatever reason. Aswell as the higher rewards are even there to begin with because you wont win as often. Not because its a "Jackpot" kind of feature - its a losing counter mechanic. It has to be there to keep economy stable.
Solo was introduced with this game the same way as playing duos.
By this argumentation one could argue that trios should be taken out of game because it wasnt meant to be played that way from beginning because it was added later - which would be bonkers.
Obviously this game is meant to playable solo or else devs wouldnt do what they do.
I think everyone has to accept that solo-revive is here to stay. Crytek had all the time in the world and even a big amount of real match data to base their decision on.
I mean they're not gonna back out now because of occasional suggestion or feedback posts

And the reward for doing so.. Is higher rewards at the end of the game. You shouldn't be given a reward during the match for choosing to play at a disadvantage.

At this point, with solo's getting 5 lives and a bunch of buffs, they shouldn't be getting decreased MMR scaling because they are not at anywhere near the disadvantage they were at.

You can take clues and bounties from outside of compounds now, revive yourself up to 4 times, and automatically get all three shots when you pick up a bounty. There's no disadvantage for being solo at this point, so 6 star solos should be in 6 star matches, full stop.
Its harming both sides anyway.
Solo is losing often more MMR than gain.
And the others have to play against a deflated MMR player.
To be fair. A 10sec timer is most of the time only a "cheat death" replacement if people dont burn you.
Any decent skilled player will knock you on your arse as soon as you get up.

Rather than buffing medium ammo, they should nerf other types of ammo to avoid a power creep
I'd much rather see medium see both damage dropoff start distance buff and slightly better pen without FMJ, and with compact I'd give it a touch more pen as well for consistency's sake 
Other than that the ammo types are pretty balanced
All people are asking for is medium ammo to actually behave like… medium ammo. They’re not asking to make it as powerful as long ammo.
Here is a clear example showing the massive disparity between medium and long ammo:
- A winnie C can two-tap up to 43m in the upper torso;
- A centennial can two-tap up to 62m in the upper torso;
- A Mosin can two-tap up to 160m in the upper torso (Krag 112m, this difference is still noticeably bigger than the difference between cent and winnie C)
Currently medium ammo can’t even be reliably used as a compound gun in some situations due to the severe damage dropoff it experiences after 20m.
Making it special ammo would just kill this gun entirely from this game... instead i think they should tweak it like this with simple things:
1 - Slower timing to ADS... the ADS time for these guns is too fast... bigger guns should be heavier and have a slower pace... there is no sense in people turning corners, rushing you, and instantly spraying you down with these huge ass guns...
2 - Nerf at least the Avto Damage. Full-auto guns shouldn't have the same damage and muzzle velocity as single-shot weapons and bolt actions for obvious reasons; you'll lose pressure and power inside the barrel with bullets being shot that fast.
So because of that, Avtos should at least have 124 base damage instead of 136;
And the 615 m/s Muzzle Velocity is TOO MUCH.. make it as slow as medium ammo or maybe a little faster than medium ammo...
That's a meme gun, right? So why make it that strong?
PS: There is another thing.. but i think it doesn't matter... Nitros and Avtos are huge guns, and IRL would be impossible to use them close-quarters, you'll be hitting those barrels into walls all the time trying to turn corners..
making it special you still have 5 bursts of damage that deals more than enough to 2 tap anyone ADS speed and turn speed doesnt do anything because you can change the sensitivity manually most long ammmo guns should have the damage nerfed as it is and muzzle velocity doesnt matter because people dont use it past medium range as is also giving it clip reloads makes it where i dude runs behind a corner for less than 2.5 secs and now he has 2 bursts

The Vetterli has 410 m/s muzzle velocity, right? If you shoot someone running sideways from 40 meters away of you, you'll need to lead a little bit, maybe 1 head or a little more..
Making the muzzle velocity of Avtomats slower would make them harder to hit moving targets.
Could make it special & give it 5 ammo in reserve.
you dont even have to really try to hit someone at 40 meters with 410/ms because the bullet is there in less than 0.10of a sec its just very frustrating to have atleast 1 in every one of my lobbies because for a lot of people money doesnt matter when you have over 100k i do not be i still never worry about money because im constantly hovering around the same amount no matter what i run

First: its not wrong to kill that gun from the game tbh. Its the only fullautomatic weapon in the game. It doesnt have a spot in the meta. Either its played by noobs and as a total meme (which it should be) or its being played by sweats who wallbang 15 shots, hit at least 2 players and then still have 2 full magazines thanks to the double sparks. People can say what they want, it utterly stupid at its current point. The avto needs 2 from the following 3 nerfs to balace it out:

Wallbang capability.
Remove wallbang capability. This way the player will be forced to play the weapon more memlike with pushing in, evening it out in comparison to other weapons with fanning or buckshot weapons. -
No 2-tag capability
Removing the 2 hit kill capability will mean you have to hit a full 3-shot spray which is ok imo. It will further correct the ammunition pool because you'll need more shotd to kill. -
Special ammo.
The shared pool with weapons like uppercut or sparks is a unbelievably stupid decision. You can shoot 1 (!) Sparks shot with reload while the avto has all 15 shots. And then ut still has 30 shots to reload. Who thought of this? Giving it special ammo will place it at the place it should be: an expensive meme. (The price could be corrected)
All the people downvoting all the avto nerf ideas are just sweats who push their KDA with avtos 🤓

@visual pendant I don't mind the trait suggestion on the surface, but I feel like we should be careful about making traits that is very niche in general, in this case, useless for Solos. Mostly bc we already have a big issue of the lottery of Legendary Hunters rolling with bad combination of traits. This would just complicate that pool further.

**Details**: Just a mix of the 2 gameplays bounties or quickplay for people who like to shoot monsters and people but don't have a party

@limber tinsel There used to be an experimental solo BH mode during Early Access, but it was a terrible experience and that's why the devs created Quickplay as Hunt's solo mode
I highly doubt it. People were so afraid of dying that you essentially had 10 players camping the boss lair, waiting for somebody else to make a mistake first.
Friend of mine found a strange spot that an enemy player fell into from the windmill at Windy Run.
Not sure how the guy got into that spot (maybe fell from the plank attaching to the roof?) but there I'm guessing there isn't a way out once a player is trapped in there.

You have a crosshair and the more it is filled by the hitbox of the enemy the higher the chances are you hit. If a hitbox occupies 50% of your crosshair than you have approx 50% chance to hit. If that 50% are a head than you do a headshot 50% of the time.
It just how it works with any game that has some kind of crosshair spread.

i feel like part of the issue people have with the prestige system is they dont want to unlock only 1/3rd of the weapons/variants in the game by the time they reach level 100, and possibly not having stuff yet for the next event, at least my suggestion tries to alleviate some of that by making progression faster

instead of needing to progress through 8 different unlocks on the Winie M1873C line and probably be mid-20 on my bloodline, i only would need to progress through 3 ammo types and 5 variants, and both could progress at the same time, probably unlocking the tree by 10-20 which is perfect for a starter gun like the Winnie M1873C
Thats why i think something like perma unlocking one weapon ammo or variant permanently you can chose ever prestige would be nice.

Welcome to RNG sometimes its on your side other times not. idk why you would want to impliment this change if by example again in every other shoots its like this. The closer you are the better it will work however still not consistant.
The RNG-thingy especially on Avto could be alleviated by reducing the number of RNG-opportunities you can take with it by removing the ability to get a ton of reserves with it.
You wouldn't gamble shots away if you only had a handful of bullets to play with.
As of now, you can afford to roll the dice without a serious risk to your ammo economy because you get so much ammo with a sidearm synergy and ammo boxes
The fact that the devs said they want to target the ammo synergy system instead of directly nerfing avtomat worries me, some of the less effective loadouts rely on getting a ton of special ammo from the ammo synergy.
I hope any tweaks there don't just straight up break some non-OP loadouts.
I like the idea of making it special ammo honestly, and not synergize with any gun.

A tournament like game mode and here is my idea
It would be a monthly reward based tournament game mode that would happen on the second weekend of each month and reward legendary item skins etc and here now i was thinking it would go
you would have 3 matches in a whole tournament game with a single bounty game(for more pvp and action) like a normal game for hunt ofc(having weapon bans like maybe avto) and with a point system

it would be a very fun weekend mode that could be easily added in the game and could even have a ranking to it and to not have alts be in your game it could be a prestige 5 only game mode so you have to play the game for a little to access the game mode what do you guys think

@cloud lark I like the idea in general, but imo the focus should be more on the objective, i. e. getting and extracting the bounty. The point distribution you have in there makes PvP a lot more rewarding than actually playing the objective.
I just want to point out that I still experience 150+ping in Tokyo on Asian servers, and therefore need to play US West at 115+ ping in order to be able to play at all. This has been going on for the past 4-5 weeks. I am a loyal player with 1300+hours, but I'm going to have to stop playing if this continues. @ripe mural @candid maple @paper goblet

Yea thats true tho.
Maybe a good compromise would be to have "preferences" you could check or uncheck.
So you have a *higher chance* to get the parameters you like for your next game.
If not enough players are found with the same preferences then you would just play a normal game.
This wouldnt split the playerbase and keep the queue time down.

Description: The MMR gain/loss for purely pvp should be a bit reduced and the amount taken off should be reintroduced for successful banishes and extractions (with bounty).
Playing the objective and getting out alive is obviously part of skillfull play aswell.
This would also hinder "failing upwards" in those cases where you cant win a game but constantly killing people, facing even harder enemies the next game.```

I did it for the love of the challenge of learning how to use everything in my arsenal, however, other than an opportunity to regain money if you’re broke, there is no benefit whatsoever for a player to Prestige.
My suggestion is restructuring the wallet capacity for the game. Prestige 0 players can only hold a maximum of $4,000 Hunt dollars, and every time you Prestige, you’ll still reset everything, but you’ll have the opportunity for (figuratively) more money in your bank account. At least that way, it’s something that’ll get player’s to Prestige up to 5-10 levels and puts incentive on levelling up in this game.```

I mean, you already get some dope skins for prestigeing. Thats not nothing.
Some people just dont like doin it and i think thats fair.
@brisk timber Fair enough, it’s not nothing, but there’s still no benefit from Prestige in this game. Bragging rights or anything silly like 5 skins don’t benefit player’s from levelling up. And there aren’t many games like this with an economy so to speak, and unfortunately for Hunt, there’s nothing to extract from the game that you can sell, because of the contraband clause

I think thats intended. The main goal is and was to be lvl 100.
The part of restarting your bloodline and getting a skin for it is just for players who are either a bit bored and need a challenge or for people who like skins.
It never should be a disadvantage for people who dont like to do it. Because this would hurt the casual player who cant spend hundreds of hours.
I have 900h in Hunt and I am prestige 25, I haven't prestiged non stop, but I would say it took me 500h to get there I'm a bad player I guess. But just to put into context my next "dope skin" comes at level 50. So that is only that much of a carrot on a stick.
Yea the kind/frequency of rewards or how fast one prestiges is debatable and highly subjective i guess.
But it should never be more beneficial as staying lvl 100. It would throw balancing off.
@brisk timber I don’t know for sure what the developers intended, I feel as though with this being a currency structured PvP game, the addition of Prestige should have a real benefit of some sort
