I mean, there are references to demons but they don't go full out on biblical stuff or satanic stuff because it can be offensive to religious individuals.

The issue is there isn't enough players at 6 star and there were complaints.
So five star and four stars fill the gap.
And even saw it was him 6star + 4star that fought 2 5 stars

Anyway, in a game where we see disfigured and ruined bodies of horses and dogs and kill or burn or poison horses, dogs, crows just to conceal ourselves i really don't see how an optional thing such as cutting the hand which is called "dark tribute offering" can affect someone if all those does not, and i don't see the game being "child friendly" with all those neither did i buy it for such an atmosphere or i would go start playing "Fowtnite" or something
It could just be a temporary event scene. We'll see.

I can agree with the optional skip animation, it would be even better for them if it's a permanent option in the settings or in the dark tribute page
Well, more people have experienced self harm and a bit more common than zombies and bodyhorror.
They could have removed the cutting animation and just showed a hand squeezing out blood into a cup or something
Media can have a lot of elements that you are okay with. But one thing might invoke a traumatic experience. Again, a person might like grimey crime stories, but not feeling okay with sexual abused due to past experience and trauma.
I don't know how to answer to that, i can say yes, you're right because i'm not a person that self harms and for several reasons i think self harming does more than just self harming a person

Self harm brings a sense of relief to the person experiencing psychological distress.
Whatever "mind pain" they're going through feels like it goes away when they cut.

I feel that it's more distressing for the external viewer, those watching the person practice self harm.
So we can ask ourselves: "Is Hunt more or less of a game if we remove the animation of self-harm?" and ofc removing it will take something out of Hunt. But for me, it is sucha minimal loss if it means some more can play Hunt. Especially bc it not even affecting the core gameplay of Hunt.
I always felt like it's just my character doing it, basically a soulless hollow shell that i give a soul by playing it

There is ofc always concerns of how things can get pushed more and more in X/Y/Z direction. But that is sadly speculations at best, so far, even with my many gripes of changes to Hunt, there haven't been done any prior actions to downplay/scale the horror of Hunt.
The idea behind cutting the hand as an offering is i think basically "we earned stuff today so let's give an offering to keep earning" or something like that, like you know, those who threw people to fire in the old days and god knows it probably happens today in some parts of the world, it wouldn't be a lie if i said that's what i was expecting when i saw the name dark tribute at first
Yes however i have seen it done in some games, it may not change much of a thing for some players but it also changes things for some other players

You know it doesn't have to be a blood sacrifice in imagery but a soul sacrifice. Instead of cutting they could have squeezed something that looks like a glowing bounty (popping in and out of view), dripping blue fluid that appears and disappears.
It would essentially be sacrificing your soul. That's what I think the bounties are. The soul of beings.
So each time you do the dark tribute, your "soul" keeps getting smaller and smaller.
By the end of it, you have nearly nothing.
Maybe you damned yourself at that point and cannot exist in the "afterlife" or "rebirth" (if you believe in reincarnation).

I have no idea how that would work compared to a physical sacrifice and i can't say anything about it
A more powerful imagery of the sacrifice is if they put themselves in dark sight and reaches into their chest. To pull out parts of their soul.
I am pretty sure they chose the blood sacrifice because it's easy to understand what's happening and it's rooted into actual old occult practices (the idea of paying your own blood, often associated as your life/lifeforce for some kind of gain)
Having something like a soul sacrifice might be harder to read for people, because there is less of a common conception of how a soul should look than about something as simple as a blood sacrifice.

I think the Mr. Chary rewards were probably changed because Mr. Chary was a primary instigator in the Trilogy of the Moon events and it is leading up to the end of his storyline. I think Hunters are gathering bullets to imbune with prayers/magic (whatever) to try and kill Mr. Chary (who always seemed like a demonologist or occultist). I think the change thematically fits the impending event.

That was PlayStations stance for a bit but they've allowed developers to turn on cross-play for the past 3 or 4 years now, it would be strange if cross party invites weren't allowed since so many games have this as a baseline feature for crossplay.
I don't know, I thought that's what some dude was on about in the HuntGeneral tab. I play on PC so I don't know the state-of-the-game on console. I was just trying to help out, sorry if I was misinformed or interpreting it wrong.
Yeah, you see, the funny thing is, this used to work almost perfectly. Then maybe like 4 months ago or so, placing traps got "fixed," which made it not work in like 80% of the places they could be placed before. Yet another thing that just got changed for the worse for absolutely no conceivable, sane reason, and also that no one asked for.
I do wonder lately if the people who push for these changes and "fixes" actually just have nothing productive to do in the game and just do literally anything to look busy in order to keep the job. That is the only sane explanation I have come up with.

Enlighten me then, please. Why can I not place traps on pretty much perfectly flat surfaces with no objects on them, or almost anywhere near barrels and various other objects? It worked just fine before the so-called fix.
Also not to mention there is a way to bypass this to some extent; you can start placing further away from whatever seems to be blocking the trap, and slide over the placement indicator closer before you finish the placement. Goes to show the mechanic is very clearly flawed and scuffy.

Well that“s cool, but the thing is, I have been playing for 3 years now and there were no issues with placing traps that I am aware of that were fixed, yet it restricted the placement options tremendously without any apparent logic to it, or reason for it. Clearly a downgrade.

While his methods are most certainly morally questionable, his goal seems to be to fight the sculptor. And we still don't know whether the moon/Kevin are actually good guys, considering we know next to nothing about that entity besides Kevin believing her to be good.
Really hope the story doesn't turn out to be the classic good guy chosen one versus evil occult scientist and that there is some greyness to it.

@upbeat slate The 1965 Spencer is really a cool gun, but i really don't know how devs would make the reloading animation.
the Spectre Bajonet is 50% more expensive, and has a medium barrel instead of along one. But there is not logical reason that a barrel should be shortened for affixing a bajonet. Peope say "balance" but the Mosin Bajonet only cost 50 Dollars more so its more or less free.
I am saying that if those guns are every implemented they would get a shorter barrel most likely. Which is stupid.

From what I'm seeing the Slate has a 20in barrel already the original 1897 trench gun had the same length , so there would be no reason for it to loose range, as for the 1887 I have no idea if they would shorten the barrel for the variation. I hope they get implemented but like they say everything has a trade off.
I See No reason for a shorter Barrel too. But I guess it would Happen. Which I think is entirely unnecessay. That was my Point.
And lets be honest, the Mosin has No downsides With its Bajonet. While the Spectre has. Its Main function as a gun is degraded With a Medium instead of a Long Barrel.

@fair rover someone correct me if Iām wrong, but I swear that arm shots will count as a body shot if the body is behind the arm (arm is located in between the shooter and the target torso on a straight path)
I think the logic is the bullet will penetrate the arm and the hit the torso, so the higher damage value (torso) will be used, but not combined with the arm damage
@lean estuary this is correct. You cannot block body or head with limbs anymore. This has been patched a long time ago but Iāve had instances where the limb clearly blocked the body or head so it doesnāt work 100% as intended all the time unfortunately. Big surprise, right lol
Well it doesn“t work that way for all projectiles, arrows, bolts, and I would assume all the other 0-pen ammo has no hitbox penetration, either. Not entirely sure about buckshot, but I do believe it does also penetrate hitboxes.
And for the regular rounds, I have never witnessed an instance of "yep, when going frame-by-frame on my recording, this must have 100% hit this-and-that body part and clearly did not deal the appropriate damage because it was blocked".
The main issue here I think is that it is extremely hard to tell if you actually hit a certain body part or not even when you get to go frame-by-frame sometimes, due to you not seeing the bodyparts or their hitboxes properly, the enemy hunter moving even between frames, and your projectile having muzzle velocity. Good luck determining such a thing by just looking at your screen once while playing. Sometimes a hunter turns their head just a couple frames before you shoot, making the shot go underneath their chin and the like, or you flinch a few pixels to the side just before firing.
Funny bit btw, horses can be penetrated with any projectile with penetration all the way through, for example, you can shoot a horse in the ass and headshot it that way with a nagant silencer, whereas all the mobs have no limb penetration and any part you hit first will block any damage to a higher multiplier hitbox behind it, regardless of what ammo you use. Not counting penetrating the hellhounds“ helmets by some ammo types.

I don't get it. There is some period of time around every event, or patch when the servers are just awful. Shots that should hit just disappear. Registration is literally variable.

@upbeat slate that's what I've been saying, but people called me crazy. you can even just make it pretty simple by just saying "tldr, it should work like the terminus". The segmented reload thing would be cool, but Crytek currently doesn't have a system in place for that, for any gun, so its unlikely that'd be implemented. (tho they have said they would like to do it, its just a lot of work)
It also can perhaps even free up two rounds to go into the lebel's reserve ammo, so it doesn't have piss poor ammo pickup rate

I think that vitality shots (weak) should full heal you and vitality shot should have 2 charges. Vitality shots have been the worst healing items and are definitely not worth replacing a grenade for them.```

The leaderboards are misleading. Remember that everyone that boots up the game during the event was counted in the leaderboard. Which heavily inflates the base amount of people, leading to people being placed higher in the leaderboard than they actually scored on the comparison between people that actually tried to play the event.
They honestly should only count people in the leaderboard that habe been active in the past week and are at least level 1.
I still don't think that everyone completed the event but I think it's more of a 60% completion rate than a 30% which i at least saw often enough being talked about.
Why? Especially when running doctor and physician there is almost no reason to take the big ones
what do u mean 60% the leader boards just went off how many points people had. i had just enough points to finsish and i was in the top 10% so no 60% did not finish
The leaderboards counted everyone. So if you have a player that logged one once during the event and played one match they are counted in the leaderboards.
The statistics are skewed.
You were top 10% in all players, but probably a lot lower in % of active players.

No, but the completion rate is going to be less bad than a lot of people think
@granite steppe IP bans just dont work in general. Most people these days do not have a static IP, so it would literally not ban them at all (Most of the times for one day or they can just manually reconnect their router).
And hardware bans tend to hurt innocent people more than than they help against cheaters, since its not that hard to fake a hardware id. And then you just end up with people buying used parts and then being banned when they boot up Hunt for the first time

Also that there is no visual indicator serves as a balance point to snipers as it makes it harder to confirm kills from long ranges

Can we PLEASE get a heavy melee weapon that does blunt damage? Something that you can buy for a loadout like a Cavalry Saber and Combat Axe. I love my beefy melee weapons but it always feels bad when i have to bring dusters too so I can have them for Immolators. Maybe something like a Sledge Hammer or giant Club lol!```
@graceful grotto I want a Large Blunt Melee but I feel Crytek wants to make your tool slot precious. What else would you fill in there but traps? At some point everyone will carry them if we didn't have to buy dusters, knife, and other gear.
mace weapons:
if they were worried about making players have too many tool slots than mace weapons wouldnt exist. Plus you have to sacrifice a medium gun slot just to bring a secondary melee and i think a medium gun is much more valuable than a tool slot. It deifnitely wouldnt be OP for melee players to have an extra trap
speaking of mace weapons, a Terminus Handcannon Mace, would be an absolute banger

does c&k have slugs? i dont use it much cuz im only 100hrs so i cant afford it most of the time
yes it has them, and its pretty busted

c&k slugs with a scottfield swift would probably be a very fun kit to run
I would use a Spitfire with that
theres prolly a better pistol to run with c&k slugs but i really like the spitfire

This is kinda silly
What would be the alternative? They made it so that at least one extract spawns at least 500m away from the other extracts to avoid all extractions clumping into one corner, and boss location sensitive extraction spawns would be bad as it would eventually lead into people being able to narrow down possible boss locations before any clues
I guess making all extractions spawn at least 500m away from each other would be one option, but imo it's fine to keep it so that a max of 2 can be near eachother for variety and options in certain situations like pushing one of them and a team holding it and being able to swap to the other one
Since the main problem was all extracts being in the same corner which made it extremely easy for a team to hold all of them

@queen jungle Those players spiting venom that you mention are not really part of our community (its a show). In my opinion what you are describing is the small group of players who think they can manipulate Hunt into something it is not with their venomous hatred and calculated lies. Crytek does not need to worry about them (they are small) and so you don't either.
Hunt is doing great and it is clear that some players never will like the game despite wanting to. It is very different... and some players can't handle that.
The important thing is that players that do like Hunt are finding it, and Hunt is growing. The venom and loosing some players just comes with the territory.
In my opinion crytek communicates well enough. The problem is simply that some players can't handle the realities of the pc gaming world, (anymore... they used to be fine, I guess we went soft). It is not cryteks fault, it is their own at that point. No one forces them to be delicate.
I think an interesting idea would be to give each player a 2 min timer to extract at the start, each team gets their own extract where they spawn.
Incase teammates DC etc.
Then after 2mins they vanish & next spawns comes when the boss is banished.
And perhaps not having all extracts 1km away would be nice.
A maximum distance of 500m maybe
Or atleast 1 spawn 500m away & the rest can be further.
So extract campers can choose one & then they can choose to contest it or risk running much further
I think it would battle 2 things.
- Teams that spawn on boss lair doesn't get an instant freebie.
- People won't avoid a bosslair simply cuz of extract spawns
I'm not a huge fan of the idea of entire "structures" disappearing and spawning like that

Well you could have "extraction " areas.
That has some supplies/Debris to hide behind & the horse is outside the map & same with boat.
That way it can still spawn as an extraction if ppl sit on it.
Crytek servers are already shitting themselves as is, so can't prob add this.
But cool would be if the boat or hose came running/driving in to the area.
The server argument hardly matters in that context lol
Well they had to stop zombies from making animations to reduce the stress.
I don't see how that is a sign of the servers "shitting themselves", devs generally always aim to optimize their client/server performance either way and removing animations that are not generally visible to players anyways just makes sense
Hell even warzone/DMZ removes player animations after a certain amount of distance
Which is much worse than just AI or when off screen
I don't remember the details of Hunt's change to animations being removed or if it even is a thing, so I can only assume that if it was in the patch notes somewhere then it's happening to AI off screen as I have not seen zombies without animations other than the very occasional T-pose which is unrelated

@proud pond used to be like that, but that resulted in people getting ghost bulleted due to ping difference (basically you shot after the server knows you're dead but you havent gotten that info yet, so you shoot and they dont take damage and you die)
i think they should bring it back, because if you got ghost bulleted it does mean you weren't fast enough and shuld have died, but they added an 800ms post-death bullet tolerance window where the server still lets you shoot up to 800ms after you die
i think this is actually good, makes people have to fight their way out of the raid. i hate when extraction is right at the boss and you literally cannot stop them from leaving if you aren't already there

Yeah i really dont like the trade system. I think ghost bulleting is fine. its a bit frustrating feeling but ultimately you did lose the gunfight, just the way internet works made u think u didnt. Meanwhile trading is just a lose/lose situation .

I prefer it the way it is. I have played games that represent almost every way there is to do multiplayer. And Hunt's client side hit detection with server side hit validation is the best.
Some will disagree of course, but its just player preferences.
Some like it set up so that a players internet latency and the latency of their computer will play a large part in the outcome of the game.
And some like it set up so that as much latency disadvantage as possible is mitigated, this provides a much more fun experience for those that do not have low latency internet and low latency computers.
It should be obvious why these two can't agree.
But given the choice, I think trading kills is less disruptive than dying in a frustrating way. And the real problem comes when players don't understand whats happening and start blaming the wrong things. I think this is how the myth of "ping abuse" got started.

Iād much rather die fairly than trade with someone just to spite them. Iāve had dozens of games where I traded with the last man standing and no one got bounty. I saw a suggestion in here earlier for ping priority for trades to essentially revive whoever had lower ping after a trade, which might work, but unless youāre miles away or using something with insane travel time like a crossbow trades shouldnāt happen

Its not "just to spite them". It is the trade off you must accept if you want responsive and fun gun-play while having latency, which a good amount of the gaming world deals with.

It is about latency, and how it effects the way gun play goes in a shooter game. It is a challenge to make it feel right for all involved.
the times where it's "at least i traded" could be replaced with "i deserved to win that and i did" 50% of the time or "i deserved to lose that and i did" the other 50%. which is way better for a pvp fps
High ping is the cause of pretty much every trade. They arenāt dead yet on their screen so they still get to shoot/stab. Ping priority in trades would help people actually playing on their lowest ping server while not making it unplayable for friends that need to make ping compromise
Trades donāt happen every game but they are a common enough occurrence to be addressed
also people run shotguns less and less in high elo because of trades

There are multiple perspectives to every argument and youāre just choosing one that best mediates between good and bad ping players. If players actually played on their servers or crytek made the ping cap much lower then trades would seldom happen. Iām not suggesting they change the way hit detection works, Iām saying they stop punishing players with low ping and rewarding players with high ping when they could clearly change what server they play on to remedy this. I realize that some servers are low pop/high cheater density so people want to play on servers where they have higher ping, but there needs to be a system that doesnāt punish people on their lowest ping servers

What about getting the lowest latency you can, that is very VERY important.
I think you are wrong here as well. "both sides think the trade is bs".
I think the only ones who don't like it are the "competitive/elite" who are accustomed to latency being such a disadvantage. In their world, the lowest latency player should have an advantage over anyone with higher latency. That is ok, and its good we have it for those that like it.
But Hunt took a different approach, and I like it much better. Ill wager most people who don't have the best gaming rigs and the best internet service like it much better as well.
That is why I say Hunt is a game for everyone. And that is why Hunt is succeeding, it is accessible and fun. It plays well on almost any gaming rig, and stable connection.
That's no evidence. There are a lot of ommited variables there. If you have video and you suspect cheating you should definitely report it and look at the Kill View etc etc.
It's not that they aren't dead yet. It's that the server has already declared them dead via the low ping players shot and then it receives the info (which has been delayed because of ping) from the high ping player that they have already killed the low ping player. Trades are in favor of the low ping player most of the times, as with no latency the high ping player would have won
Was your party loud? Were you in a bounty area or nearing the compound? What line-of-sight & elevation did the shooter have? Was he in a party? Were you and your team moving, staking out, standing still?
I'm not saying your assessment was wrong but there are a lot of crack-shot players and a lot of accusations of cheating that go around. But don't quit because of cheaters, record your games, report suspicious players and move on. A few lost Hunters due to some jerks who don't understand the concept of a hallow victory shouldn't ruin the game for you all.

There is no way it was legit, and we reported them, of course. But I still don't understand how come that kind of "really obvious" cheaters can still play the game.

It has happened to me maybe 2-3x in 600+ hrs on EU/RUS servers. I've reported more for abuse & toxic play than cheating.

Could be circumvented by having the bot delete and repost suggestions. Because although it is rare there are people who block others to make their suggestions look better
@fair ether if you could buy legendary hunters for free, even if they come without traits, there wouldn't be any reason to use the free hunter at all. Also consider that even T2 and T3 Hunters come with a baseline cost, it just doesn't make sense for the legendary to not have a cost.
And in my opinion you should have to pay for not having to play a whiteshirt. If you manage to make enough mistakes to run out of money then it should be free hunters and not legendaries.

And trust me... the day you play on a 144Hz monitor with more than 60 Frames per Second, a scale will fall from your eyes; the difference is brutal.

If your monitor can only do 60 frames... lock it to 60, don't let the system just run wild with unlocked frames. That's how you get bad performance
I have seen some evidence that running over 60, while your monitor is 60, can still reduce system latency. Battlenonsense has done some interesting experiments regarding system latency. I was surprised to say the least. Not gonna judge it yet myself, but its interesting.

I'd agree if it wasn't because i've paid real money to get access to said hunters. Shouldn't be an ingame currency aswell blocking me from playing them.
Insert any game that has a secondary currency that can block you from using paid skins.
Weapons are a bit different, as they give power to your hunter.
But the legendary hunter for free with no traits, wouldn't give you anything to increase your power, as in more healing, reduce dmg taken by explosive, more speed etc as traits would.
As Ethonodon said aswell, between a legendary hunter & a free hunter, it would only be a skin.
I know some ppl say you're paying for more camouflage, but at the same time theres more visible legendary hunters & also less visible free hunters, like the ones with dark red shirts.
Besides I think it's a bit of a myth with the whole "more camouflage."
Because theres people who can't see white shirts in plain sights.
Ye because if this mattered, then there should have been an outcry, when free hunters (as i've been told) at one point, could only be used if you had literally no money to buy a hunter at all.
I'd be fine with an option to apply legendary hunter skins to any T2 / T3 Hunter. I'd also probably be fine with a free version of the legendary hunter if you could only buy it if you haven't bought the free hunter yet, and if you do it locks the free hunter until the next shuffle.
This way you cant buy the free hunter, dismiss, buy free legendary and equip the free guns.
It's less about legendaries being too camouflaged, but whiteshirts do stick out a lot and I feel like the free hunter should intentionally be quite bad
Same with guns. The option to apply a skin to any non-contraband weapon you own could seriously reduce UI clutter while keeping the unique feature of being able to scavenge skins and also keeping the free weapons a worse deal
Free hunters being used only for their loadouts happens now to aswell regardless if they use the hunter or not.
When im at like 70+ in prestige i never buy fre hunters, i only take them for the loadout & dump the hunter

it seems like you give extra advantages for the Russian region. why do they get their own? Either they can go on the EU or the Asian servers, but they have their own. Thats alright for me, but then they should play on it.. Another question, are you impling the R-word? Any form of defamation can have legal consequences. I don't care what ethinictiy or nationality somebody has. It's only region based in form of the technical advantage (ping abuse).
There is no advantage in having a significantly higher ping. Especially considering the ping from RU to EU isn't that high (around 50ms from central Germany, where the EU servers are, to the RU servers in western Russia).
Also to this point i would say the following. People are in either of 2 Situations:
- They have enough money that they dont need to play free Hunters, at that point paying for the legendary shouldnt matter, especially since they are already a really good deal since they a) reduced their price and b) inflated the income.
- They are so low that they need to play the free Hunter, at which point i think its deserved having to play whats given since you only end up with these problems if you seriously mismanaged your inventory

It still insinuates that there is a correlation between a negative attribute (cheating) and another personal attribute (region), when those two attributes are clearly not correlated.

It is not an advantage. Having a higher ping is, if anything, a significant disadvantage for anybody involved.. The reason a ping limit was introduced was because at a certain threshold (>225 ms), the servers started to experience technical difficulties causing downsides for everybody on said servers.
While you may suggest a universal region lock in #game-ideas, we do not tolerate singling out specific ethnic groups, nationalities, etc. as this violates our #discord-rules regarding discrimination.
All I'm saying is they have their own server region. if they already have an isolated region. They could play on EU or Asian servers but Crytek gives them region. I don't know if that was a try to remove them from the other regions to isolate them. Would be really interesting to know why there is a Russian server region. And yes, high ping gives you more trade possibilities, mole.

Russian Servers are quite common in games. Russia is a big country, people in the far reaches of Russia often have, depending on provider, not the best ping to either Asia or EU. While they are still able to play on those with all the disadvantages that high ping brings, they also have their own region so they dont have to work under high ping. They can still choose to if they rather play on other servers because of friends, or generally more consistent population on other servers

List of problems the game has had for years still not fixed:
- Jumping over beartraps still activates them (actual prank)
- Parkour is trash. Westerners apparently can't climb anything above waist level, and I gotta press jump 1000 times to climb something that is
- Weapon sway got INCREASED.... shall I say more? Whoever thought that was a good idea needs to be fired immediately. Holy hell. What is wrong with you. Purposefully made the game worse.
- Throwables take forever to throw.
- I have to press duck multiple times to get it to unduck half the time.
It feels like a PS3 game with these issues ... like severely not AAA.
But hey, at least there's new 10 dollar skins, right?

The devs have talked of no such plans. Hunt's core mode is duos, everything is made and balanced with duos in mind. Trios was a later addition upon popular demand, but comes with some downsides because of that.
Personally, I don't think we'll see larger team sizes in the foreseeable future.
@iron trench I own two lebels and man I've tried to make the same point. But mosin/uppercut babies don't want anything challenging their precious meta loadouts.
Because if the lebel had its irl iron sights it would be a solid option.
Great instance here of where we as players should apply some "in-universe" context....imagine, if you will, you're someone in 1895 and you're trying to throw a once empty liquor bottle now filled with kerosene, with a fuse you made yourself out of two light-anywhere matches...you have to pull it out of it's pouch, remove whatever safety cover you have on the match fuse, pinch the matches together and snap your fingers to light it (make sure it's lit!), then throw.
Things like the Hive bomb could definitely be a quick throw, pretty much anything else that doesn't have a pin (Concertina Bomb) or a friction fuse (Frag Bomb, Choke Bomb? Flash?) is going to take an extra second.

12 players is already 20% more than what the game was originally designed for: 10 players per match.
In the past, the devs have stated that they don't want constant PvP action, but rather the feeling of being alone in the wild but possible also being watched/hunted by others. PvP-encounters are supposed to be rare, but all the more tense due to the high possibility of losing everything if you decide to engage other players.

They just need to decrease how much amo there is on double, and decrease how much amo they pick up. As right now if you bring an amo box you basicly are set for 5 reloads.
Just make the Avto special ammo like all the other strong guns and make it so it gets more from ammo boxes (once it's special) to balance it out a bit more. Maybe like 7 from a box?

If PvP encounters are supposed to be rare, why the clown spawns? I've been in (and seen) many matches where the PvP happens at the first compound when one or more teams spawn next spot over and a lot of the map gets wiped in the first few minutes. If it is supposed to be rare, spread the spawns out more.

I think it just picks from the spawn points at random. I see how it can be annoying but I personally like the unpredictability of it. It accomplishes the goal that you never feel completely safe. If every team spawned at the other edges of the map every time, the first minutes would feel kinda boring because you know that there is no danger anyway.
The reason discussions about feedback and suggestions is supposed to happen here and not in the respective channels is because that makes it far more efficient for the devs to go through them. As for why the devs dont usually talk about a specific suggestion is because in the past people took it as a promise stuff would get implemented and implemented exactly the way they wrote.
As one can see if one looks through #suggestions-overview and compares that to the recent additions to hunt (the last year or so) one will see they implemented a lot of it but in their own ways.

Many people have this issue... but i don't really think they're gonna change it, unfortunately..
The issue isn't just moving the crosshairs, but lowering the camera height I think.

This is a very weird comparison when it's nowhere near as difficult to adjust š Hunt was my first game with lowered crosshair and even currently I can swap between games with centered crosshair and Hunt no problem, it only becomes a problem if you make it one for yourself
Good example of it is when a big streamer with esports background that I'm not going to name played Hunt and had no issues until someone in his chat pointed out the lowered crosshair to them and then all of the sudden they had neck pain from having to look lower and such

I personally didnāt choose to this game to be a ācompetitive FPSā player, I bought it and play it because I like the idea of the project, the great art and sound design, and the potential for more of the same! The Southern Gothic/ Gothic Horror is in more of a specialized genre, but (performance/bug issues aside) if the game was crafted badly I would dislike it and stop playing.
I donāt see it as just another arena to showcase my FPS skills
I don't mind if they add an option for centered crosshair as long as it doesn't introduce any unwanted side effects that give possible benefits to using it with the camera placement and level design, but regardless there's a lot more to implementing such a feature than just bringing the crosshair higher or the camera lower and it will be difficult to get right without affecting other things negatively
You seem to be ignoring that us humans can learn different control schemes at the same time. We do it all the time. A car does not drive like a fork truck for example. But driving a fork truck does not stop me from driving my car just as well. If fact I get better at backing up the car. So in a way, you are doing it to yourself. You are limiting yourself by telling yourself you can't manage it.

You're better off playing Solo Bounty Hunt. Not that I don't think QP shouldn't have it's own MMR & but it is a less popular mode and doesn't stand to gain popularity by changing. Skill based matchmaking in QP would just lead to probably two brackets (1-4*) & (4-6*).

Yeah, there are a lot of frusterating ones in Questlines too. I avoided doing that one. Lighting 6 Hunters on fire is my current dread quest... that or killing a Hunter with Stalker Beetle (which I have done but of course while I didn't have the Quest equipped).

Not true, its the only way to prevent headglitching as it is the accurate position for the gun placement. Centered crosshair either leads to a misplaced bullet origin or a misplaced camera.

I'm a five star player, and I play solo, last game my MMR was 2771, killed 2 Five star players and one four star player, then to get naded by a four star to death. I find myself down 60 MMR now (2711) from that game, killing three people a game has almost always got me down in MMR.
My suggestion is not helping the solos by making the MMR against them lower, when I get killed by a four star it takes me down drastically.
So as a solo I find this makes my life harder, I get higher ranks when playing in trios even though I die more.
Does anyone have a similar problem?
Play duos so you donāt get the solo in trios mmr reduction
Or alternatively play to game to have fun instead hinging your enjoyment on a number on your screen

well, I'm a 2gb vram player so most of the time my textures don't load

I think that servers loading should place a person or team into a match only when they are paired with atleast one other team. Waiting all that time to gain entry into a match only to be placed into an empty lobby takes away from the joy of the hunt.```

Now let's take the rough estimate of 30k players and pretend that only about 10k will purchase the skin. That is $150,000 dollars for the DLc alone. Take away the 30% cut from steam and it is still 105k for this item.
With the recent changes in prices which I've been fine with myself they have to increase the dlc prices to twice their normal so to sustain the game and servers. Servers that have not been improved upon.
Secondly, all things have increased in price because of global inflation.

I do want Hunt to make money. Making money means we can get new updates and events.
If it gets popular enough (like Apex Legends popular), we could someday get new servers.

Thats my thing though. If a skin costs a dollar, thats a pure profit dollar. Toothpaste is priced by ingredient prices, graphics cards etc, insert whatever there. A digital skin is pure profit past recouping the dev cost. So selling to 1/10 of the player base that'll spend 70 dollars vs a guaranteed increase in sales at a lower price point seems kind of dumb. I'm not saying things have to be dirt cheap, but some of these prices are kind of silly.

Skins aren't an infinitely producable resource.
You have to take into account that you need artists, you need concepts and you need to take a look at player satisfaction/retention.
Product fatigue is a real thing.
Look at Hasbro's current wavering as they've tripled profits by quintupling the amount of product provided by their WotC franchise 'Magic: The Gathering'.
The player base is starting to reject product based on the sheer amount they're getting flooded with.
Dirt cheap skins would be nice.

The money system very much makes sense.
And it's pretty easily explained by the end-of-mission cards.
'Bounty' means you earned money.
Small bounties give from 75-125 per token.
Bigger bounties can go up to 200 when there's a single bounty.
You add on that the money you get from clues (50 each) and killing the boss also awards a small amount. About 125 from memory.
If you're outnumbered you get a flat amount extra, your lobby will tell you how much.
1v2, 1v3, 2v3 have different payouts.
Extracting with time left gives an amount stated on the card.
Then you also get whatever you pick up in the world.
Getting 3000 on a small bounty is not from the bounty.
You most likely hit a bloodline level-up that gave you 2.000 Hunt dollar extra.
That has nothing to do with the bounty.
But of course all of this means reading, so most people don't bother.
Could it be easier? Yes, of course.
Could the payouts be bigger?
People raise concerns.
Does the game not explain it or lie to you or make it random? No. Not at all.
Why would it add rank up money to the mission summary

I do agree that serpent is a really useful perk. Obviously it can't be used all the time but the times it is useful are game changing (Specifically when it comes to yoinking bounty on people who didn't auto pickup)
I mean there's also downing someone with bounty inside, then serpenting it to claim it and apply additional pressure to the other team
Yee, I have had that happen before too. I tend to see a lot more people not auto pickup and give me time to push building yoink bounty and push back with my team so they won't run unless they extract with half a bounty
I always find a lot of good out of it when it comes to taking clues from meathead guarded clue spots so we don't have to waste time and possible resources dealing with the meathead

Hello just wanted to give my opinion on the new krag added to the game and how I'm a little disappointed with its performance. To start the ammo capacity is the lowest of all the bolt action rifles in the game being at 11 when all the others have 15 at minimum, secondly it does the least damage of all the bolt action rifles at 124 and its even less than the Cladwell conversion uppercut which is at 126. For a rifle I feel it serverly under preforms compart to its counterparts in the same range. And this was a gun I was hopping would be added.

@tranquil hill Not only does the Krag do a measly 124 to the body, which is pathetic, and even more so for a long ammo rifle. But is has 4 less bullets in reserve as the other long ammo bois (the Berthier, Mosin, and Lebel have 15 ammo total). The Uppercut does 125 damage to the body and even it has 15 max bullets even though it's a pistol. And all of this for what ? Not requiring Bulletgrubber and having a "fast fire rate". It's a damn shame

I have come across more and more people that seem to think Hunt: Showdown has no limb penetration even tho this has been added to the game since 1.0 release in 2019.

How do you justify removing summons and replacing them with something that doesn't give you hunt dollars? Am I missing something? This would severely nerf new player's ability to make money. I used to make like 2k+ a cycle easy in dollars and weapons.
This may not affect people who have like 300k banked, but it certainly affects new player's ability to afford better weapons.

Reduce the game timer to 25min. If the bounty team doesn't extract by then the game still goes on, but they get nothing. The bounty just disappears. We need to force the people with the massive advantage to make plays. Not camp the bounty house for 45minutes.
You need to decide who has the ball. If the entry team has the ball, you need to give them tools to succeed. Flash beetle, or anything that can actually clear campers.

If you hate camps there are builds for that. Heck I have run only big TNT boundles and cleared entire buildings before. Or bows with the bomb arows.

For most people it doesn't make sense to breach under standard circumstances other than to just have fun. Its always a better play to wait if you are trying to win.

A Long Ammo rifle should not do less damage then a Pistol (Uppercut)
Personally I think long ammo needs a nerf in general. So hopefully the Krag is a first step.

This thibg shoots faster than the vetterli - 43 Rpm! Needs no bulletgruvber, reloads super fast

Its either a spammy Long Ammo gun or a new reload without Bullergruber.
Right now its weak for a Long Ammo rifle while Not having the ammo to Profit from the high fire Rate. Since the ammo resupply is almost at Lebel Levels.
And Dont Tell me about "taking a Sparks Pistol". A Gun should be balanced in itself and Work in its own.
Yes and as @vivid trail has Pointed out: inside a compound a is vetterli better and only slightly slower (for a third of the price!)
And outside you want a real gun Like Lebel.
Edit: counterargument against Penetration. Yes the krak has better Penetration but Not enough ammo to really Wallbang for luck. The vetterli does and With FMJ this all becomes neglible while only costing half the price of the krak

Krag is fine, at most it should have 8 or 9 in reserve so you don't always need to bring an uppercut or sparks pistol.
Also the vetterli is not better than the cent, the cent fires quite a bit faster with a much higher muzzle velocity with even FMJ. If anything the vetterli needs a buff.
I think the Krag should either get the 125 dmg or a little more reserve ammo

It's the strongest for follow up shots so you pay the price by losing the 1 shot kill on already downed hunters. Remember that the damage persists to 40 metres before fall off.

It's the same tradeoff for centennial against the vetterli, but it also gets much better vision for follow up shots and way higher velocity so imo makes it obsolete. Krag competes well against the existing long ammo rifles.

The centennial is rarely picked for a reason. Again its a good headclicker, but If you Lack this consistency in Skill it sucks.

But the Krag still competes with a vetterli in compounds over 26m but outperforms the vetterli on range because of long ammo velocity, range and pen.
With 125 dmg it'd by far outperform a mosin by matching the ability to kill a 125 hp hunter all the way to 40m but having a nearly 25% faster Rof at 43 Rpm... a really fast reload that doesnt need the gun to be shot empty, no need for bulletgrubber

Just give it some more reserve so you don't need to pair it with a long ammo sidearm. The damage is fine, maybe even reduce it to 123 for luls

Meh that is debatable - the other two are just "trash" because grounded is so much better.
We're literally calling not loosing a bar on death trash because grounded is so good.
What i think makes grounded so good, is that ther's nothing taking away marks during the actual game. As soon as you get just one mark you're guaranteed your hunter back on death.
Where as with lunar - one death, you get that bar back but then loose all marks and your traits both go inactive for the rest of the match.
And with infernal you loose one mark for every bar burnt off, so as soon as one bar was saved your 4 marks trait goes offline.
And then there's the additional trait effects - healing burnt HP faster and getting revived full instead of at 100 are nice - but nowhere near as gamechanging as a heccing selfrevive for solo's

is too hard too see anything , the fire is too loud , i can hear shit , for me another reason to leave that map when is on the map, with a sniper loadout ,
i am play most of my playtime solo sniper , u have so much problems to see in fog , by night and now we have another scenario where i facked up when i play sniper.. not funny
i think i will quit this game , is too many random modifier on these map scenarios , back in the day we had a fix contract , i wish that is still there ..... plz

I just had a match where two teams met out in the open and shot at each other with no cover for a solid 2 minutes without any hits...

yes on other circumstances Luna would be great, but right now i say only trios who clutch every fight till the end. For the average 3-3.5 Star player grounded is best. If you do not have a spawn fight you can gather the 35 points and then have your hunter back.
I think Luna and Inferno needs a little buff, thats all.

I like that getting a hunter back is an option, but i don't think it should be this easy
that's why IMO getting your hunter back should be a 4 marks trait
For me its what makes this Event really Fun, no grinding forever. Getting Hunters back etc. Its great.
disagree, make the other pacts better instead. Do not take away the beauty of grounded. Why should everything be "shit" when everything can be good? Make it an interesting choice what to take instead of "I am not a living aimbot so grounded it is".
For example, lets the Luna thing take away ONE pledge mark not two, or one for 25 so if you losse 50 and have a mark you get back with 125 but if you have two you get the full 50 back. Not loose every mark.
No idea for infernal though... Maybe one pledge mark makes you immune to world fire or something but meh...

For me a small nerf to that one specifically and potential small buffs to the rest would be the sweet spot
the luna thing right now takes all pledgemarks on your first death - not just two
just taking two would already be the buffed version

But we have to agree to disagree. Grounded Path has brought me a lot of fun and made me push more often since at least I can play with a hunter with doctor etc. again. Therefore every Nerf to it would make me lose fun.
