What's a blob?

It is a file containing a special key specifically for that one device to allow downgrading to a specific firmware.
They're like golden tickets, but instead a digital signature made by Apple that was saved at the time when the signing window was open. If you possess one (or many), keep them safe.

How do they work?

They can be used in a program called futurerestore to restore to a firmware in which the SEP/Baseband is compatible. To check SEP/Baseband compatibility, check /tag sepbb.

Make sure to not use misleading sites.

Regardless of SEP/Baseband compatibility, any/all blobs should be saved for future downgrading abilities.

Can I save them now?
Of course. Blobs can be saved at any time, but it is crucial to save them when Apple releases new firmware, because they can only be saved for versions that are currently signed.There is one exception to this: if you are jailbroken and Apple has unsigned the version you're currently on, you may save onboard blobs for that version.

Well, you’d need a jailbreak to save your current version blobs since they’re not signed. If they happen to be OTA blobs, they’d be unusable to you. Let’s say you started saving blobs for a higher version and a jailbreak comes out for you and you happen to save blobs for a higher version the jailbreak supports. You can use those blobs to upgrade to that higher version, etc. and keep your jailbreak, or even downgrade because you would’ve saved blobs for something lower since you have a jailbreak.

I’m having issues with sileo and cydia being installed at the same time not being able to install or remove tweaks on 14.6 iPhone 11promax

My lockscreen music player doesn’t work, it isn’t showing up at all. The music player in my control center just says “Loading…” forever and doesn’t show anything even when music is playing from Spotify or YouTube. Apps that are supposed to prevent media playing apps from closing from the app switcher such as Kill All Apps, Imtrynavibe, and RoadRunner also aren’t working. I feel like my device just doesn’t recognize on playing apps :( has this happened to anyone before? What should I do to go about solving this?

So using AltStore, iPhone 12PM, jailbroken iOS 14.4 with Uncover 7.0.2. Trying to install uncover 8.0.2 for stability. It appears if you have no available devices with your primary Apple ID (the one I’m signed into iCloud with) you can’t consistently use AltStore (error 22411). The only fix I’ve been able to find online is to sign out (which removes iCloud data, Apple wallet, etc) and login to a fresh one to sign things. Switching back and forth between Apple IDs in settings isn’t sustainable. Am I missing something or am I just out of luck?

This issue isn’t really with getting AltStore installed, it’s getting uncover installed. If sideloady can be used to install uncover 8.0.2 on an unjailbroken device, then that could be the solution. I’m planning to update to iOS 14.8 and rejailbreaking with uncover, but if I can’t even reinstall it while jailbroken, there’s next to no chance I can do it unjailbroken

Ok, go in the the u0 app and try to find a button the says “restore system” that will delete all your tweaks and jailbreakting stuff, jailbreak again an it is going to work. Just download all you tweaks again and you setting will be there! Good luck

I do not feel as if I can say with 100% certainty. If you wish to just remove the jailbreak, jailbreaking utilities like unc0ver and Taurine can do an option called "rootFS" can do that. That restores that whole section back to the way it was before. There is (was?) also a tool called Cydia Eraser to do a similar thing. But I am not an expert in that area so take what I am saying with a grain of salt. However, I have done this sort of thing before and I am completely certain you can do it too.

that freezes it and gets the apnonce, if you run it again it will change to a new frozen apnonce, apnonce will still also reset after restore/update

irecovery -k BootNonce

will get the nonce generator for saving purposes

both the outputs are base64 encoded binary data so you will need to decode and parse the binary to get the proper values.
