I somehow got Unc0ver dependencies(I think it's unc0ver, they're all saying Bingner), and now Bash is broken. Cr4shed says Bash is calling for version 8.1.0, but libreadline.8.dylib only provides 8.0.0. What's my best course of action. Just trying to roll back to a prior version of Bash? So I have a bizarre issue: my iPhone 5c (iOS 10.3.3 w/ h3lix) suddenly isn’t showing Safari on the Home Screen

I checked and it exists in /Applications but trying to launch it from there gives me a good old Abort trap: 6. I tried reinstalling it by extracting the 10.3.3 IPSW, making an IPA from MobileSafari.app and installing that but it failed to install (which doesn’t really surprise me since it’s a system app but still).

Is there a boxy alternative for iOS 14? I mean boxy 4 works, but it breaks the dock icons when I enable the iPad dock with floating dock or dock controller... like the recent apps get added but the normal dock apps keep their spacing, and they end up overlapping with the recent icons... removing boxy 4 fixes this, but I also need to change the icon layout

You can update (not downgrade) to unsigned iOS versions without blobs for up to 90 days by supervising your device and downloading the appropriate profile from https://dhinakg.github.io/delayed-otas.

On jailbroken devices, you can install SupervisedEnabler. If unjailbroken, you'll have to use Apple Configurator 2 or iMazing.

Note: This won't work if you futurerestored with a SEP that's newer than the version you're trying to go to.

Usually the charger mechanism tries to let the phone pre charge enough for it to be able to boot up but sometimes it isn’t enough with low battery health

#

You could try put your phone in recovery mode and let it cook on the charger for 5 to 10 minutes then try boot it again

How to fix this error:
Unable to check for update. An error occurred while checking for a software update.
Method 1 (easiest): Install OTAEnabler.

Method 2: Open unc0ver, tap the gear icon, turn OFF "Disable OTA updates", tap Done, tap the Jailbreak button.

If you're still having issues make sure you didn't disable the OTA daemon in iCleaner and you don't have the tvOS/watchOS beta profile. If you are still having issues, you may need to DFU restore.

Need some help with this one.
Somehow using iCleaner to try to clean out some space led to my SE (2016) to want to update itself.

So... after completing iCleaner's cleaning task, the phone somehow enters Safe Mode where it was asking the typical questions that are asked when setting up an iPhone for the first time. (EG, Language, region, wifi noetwork, etc). All the while it was asking that, the line "Exit Safe Mode" was at the top of my screen. I tapped it numerous times, but it didn't work. Then I decided to force-reboot the iPhone thinking it'll correct... It didn't. Rebooting the phone now leads to a all-white screen that says "press home to upgrade" at the bottom.

What can I do? I want to keep this phone on 10.3.1. How the hell did this all happen from using iCleaner? 😭

Who knows. The phone in question is my older SE phone. I'm just certain I haven't messed with anything else on iCleaner. Although this is a different phone than when you suggested to delete the plist some hours ago.

Either way I'm in a position where it wants to upgrade. How can I stop this/get around it/fix my iPhone?

Thankfully I do. However, I need some clarity. Would FutureRestore wipe the phone data? There's data on the phone I must retain. (I have yet to have pulled them out.) If it does, I want to explore other options before doing that.

Someone implied it was an OTA update and exiting my wifi would (might) kill the update. Idk. Another suggested iMazing -- thought I wouldnt know how. Someone else said there's a way to exit the screen altogether. Last one said, I could kill the PreBoard app using checkra1n... Idk what preboard is or how to kill it.

Posted a few days ago regarding a YT issue where BG playback stops working after some time.

You can update (not downgrade) to unsigned iOS versions without blobs for up to 90 days by supervising your device and downloading the appropriate profile from https://dhinakg.github.io/delayed-otas.

On jailbroken devices, you can install SupervisedEnabler. If unjailbroken, you'll have to use Apple Configurator 2 or iMazing.

Note: This won't work if you futurerestored with a SEP that's newer than the version you're trying to go to.

iOS 15 SEP fucking Face ID happened => even less motivated to stay behind on iOS 14 and not have Face ID even in jailed state => no test device, so waiting for checkra1n iOS 15

Gotcha. So funny enough, I'd have to say I never really updated an iPhone. Every iPhone I've used always has been jailbroken and remained on the iOS version I received it on. That being said, I'd imagine the only two stock options to update an iPhone would be via iTunes or through the phone's Settings, correct?
