Got a prompt to update my taurine jailbreak to the rc2. Hit yes, it rebooted, showed the taurine logo, then screen went black. im on linux and want to use altstore. i installed a windows vm in virtualbox and got it up and running. i can install altstore when the device is connected though the tray icon. however the device does not see altserver. so i can refresh altstore itself by using the vm, but trying to refresh other apps from the phone it says it cant see altserver. any clues on how to setup virtualbox's network configuration to fix this?

hey all, i have a bit of a strange issue. I have an ipad air that I used back in highschool but haven't touched since 2017. I didn't really care much at the time, so never really transferred any of the data to a PC back then. But I think I have some special photos in that ipad and want to recover them if possible. Unfortunately I don't remember the password and got myself locked after a few failed attempts. I would call apple support but my ipad is jailbroken so that's why I am here.

Did a quick google and saw someone recommend using ifunbox. I do remember using that exact application back in the day so downloaded but it wouldn't detect my ipad. Tried 2 other wires but the same issue. Itunes and windows both detect the ipad, so think its an issue with ifunbox?

not sure what else I can do. Wish I could give you more info on the jailbreak itself, but don't remember anymore

probably should mention that I tried itunes after ifunbox failed. and i tried to update the ipad using itunes so see if that would help me recover the data, but no luck. Not sure if the itunes update went through or not, but if it did, might have broken the jailbreak. irrc I had to keep the ipad on an old iOS to get the jailbreak to work

Hello, I have not been jailbroken in forever. Un0ver won’t download anymore, and chimera says I am already jailbroken (I have not been in forever).

My phone will not update via settings, it will not updates from itunes, it will not restore from itunes, and it will not restore to backup from itunes. Any time I click update from itunes, it doesn’t even give me an error, it just doesn’t work. I’ve been doing so much troubleshooting and research and have tried almost everything and nothing has worked. Do I just need to get a completely new phone to be able to update again?

Any help / suggestions is appreciated

Sorta having issues signing unc0ver with altstore was jailbroken for a while but phone restarted and it I tried to rejailbreak but it said that it couldn’t verify the profile(or something) and tried to use altstore but it gets stuck at 75% and doesn’t finish

you download ipsw the best from ipsw.me and then open iTunes and click shift+restore and select downloaded file

You’d need to side load u0 5.3.1, and either jb or restore rootfs. You can do this using chimera too. You can then jb with either of them. You can’t update because u0 disables ota which you can enable with [[otaenabler]]

Hello everyone. I was on an old version of unc0ver because I was still on iOS 13.5 on my iPhone XS. Had to restart it because my Face ID wasn't working. Phone was still signed via reprovision. However, after I restarted I couldn't open unc0ver to resign. I thought all I had to do was just reopen it and sign it again. Is there anything I am missing?
