you don't even need Succession necessarily, just erase all contents and settings if you haven't set up the device yet (assuming you haven't jailbroken it yet but if you have then restore rootfs first)

Any way to prevent the device from rebooting overnight? It does this without a jailbreak so I know it’s not a tweak causing the problem. If I have my phone plugged in and charging around 2am it will reboot, forcing me to jailbreak the next morning. It’s getting really tiresome having to deal with every 2-3 days when I should never have to reboot. I know it’s an Apple server thing since it happens at a specific time with or without jailbreak and seemingly only on my 13.7 X. It also has to be charging for this to occur.

Cause it only started happening I think with 13.7 on my X when my setup was almost identical if not less than my 13.3-13.6 setups.
Now maybe I’m wrong and just didn’t notice or didn’t have my phone on the charger regularly enough during this time to have noticed. But it seems very oddly specific to certain weird factors. Idk. I’ll just have to deal with it or try restoring and see if it happens then still but I am switching away soon anyway so it’s probably not really worth the time and effort.

pokemon GO (among many other apps) are build to detect that directory
so any traces of "cydia" "dpkg" etc are going to flag. It's not until you reset all content and settings that it actually removes all the left-overs
you can still backup, then reset.. restore from backup and the app(s) should work properly then

Hey guys, I'm having issues restoring an iPhone 11 A2221 (13.5) to 14.3. On a Big Sur Mac(11.0.1) I get the unknown error (3016) and on Windows 10 with latest iTunes I get unknown code (10). Has anyone gotten this issue before? The device was set in DFU mode originally and was not jailbroken. However, now it is stuck with the screen to restore.

@fallen moon you can’t replace cydia with sileo unless you use odysseyra1n, and checkra1n is semi tethered, meaning you have to rejailbreak with a a PC every time you reboot, but the device is still usable when you reboot.

why can i not enter dfu mode it keeps showing me the restore itunes thing
even if i try turning off my phone completely it turns back on and show me that screen again

Quick-press the volume up button.
Quick-press the volume down button.
Press and hold the side button until the screen goes black.
Release the side button once the screen blacks out, then ...
Quickly press and hold both the side and volume down buttons together for 5 seconds.
After 5 seconds, release the side button without letting go of the volume down button.
Continue holding down the volume down button for at least 5 seconds.
