all i have to do is flash a custom firmware

but now the problem is; i don't have a mac

i tried it on linux, got the keys server to work but the final problem was futurerestore

futurerestore on linux depended on like 10 or 15 things and even when i got those i still needed more dependencies

futurerestore on windows is weird

#

so then i was like; does redsn0w work? and then once i heard i can boot tethered with an ipsw that means i could finish where i left off

#

the tutorial is just flash the custom firmware then boot with 6.1.6 ipsw while in pwned dfu

AltServerPatcher is only for sideloading, it won’t help you get a clean slate????

Cydia Eraser is the only way to restore system on pre-iOS 11. Note that it has a low success rate for many people, especially if you have a 16GB device.

I have used Cydia Eraser before and I have tried it on my Air 2 with 8.1. But it will only work with versions of iOS that was also an OTA update. And since iOS 8.1 is the FIRST version of iOS ever to come with iPad Air 2, it is unable to use Eraser.
