tbh viper v3 pro is better mouse overall (have both the signature edition and v3p) - the sensor is quite a lot better, sounds silly to say, but at least in quake I can tell right away. The batter life is a lot better. The shape is quite subjective thing so will leave it out, both mouses are comfortable for me. Currently using the vmse and I also like it, just trying to be objective that you will be good with newer razer mouses. 🙂

RMA'd the Razer VMSE, Razer agent states I am to receive a completely new replacement. Glad the warranty is working however Im a bit troubled that a $300 mouse is failing in ways I've never experienced in a cheap mouse. I use my mice gently too, especially the VMSE (never pick it up off the mousepad, always slide it for movement).

Were you able to get an advanced replacement set up for your RMA? I was only offered a standard replacement, but I'm a bit hesitant to send in my mouse as I'm not sure how long it would take to receive a replacement. I'm trying to push for an advanced replacement, but am currently being given the runaround by Razer Support. I opened my RMA request the day I unboxed the mouse. The quality control for a $300 mouse really is quite worrying 😂

Im not sure what an "advanced replacement" entails, but the agent stated I would be getting a completely new replacement.

Advanced replacement = You pay a $300 deposit and they send you a new VMSE. Once you receive it you can send back your old one and they refund you.

Standard replacement = You ship back your mouse to them. They inspect it and will decide whether to accept or reject your return. If they accept it, they will send you a new one.

I think the main difference is with the standard replacement, there is a chance they reject your return. Not sure what happens in that case. And also you don't know how long it will take for them to send out a replacement. I think I saw some horror stories on reddit somewhere where someone was offered a completely different mouse

I didnt even know advanced replacement was an option. Sounds rather convoluted though, never heard of any other company asking you to pay first before getting a replacement. I went through the troubleshooting steps with an agent before they declared it was faulty and that I'd be getting a new replacement after I sent back the faulty mouse.
