These are very easy fixes. The battery is a Jst 1.0mm 3.7v 500mah (make sure to get a 3 wire. Its like $5) the switches are optical Razer switches and clip right in. The only thing that you would need to solder would be the scroll wheel encoder. But if you just need new switches and a battery thats super easy and you have a new feeling VMSE. ($10 in switches and battery) i can make a video on how to and DM if you need help.
Heres what the JST connector looks like.

No its all on 1 pcb on the VMSE. There is no aftermarket PCB for the vmse.
The above mentioned Logi mice and the Viper v3 pro for example do have aftermarket “Hot-swappable” pcbs because their M1,M2,box switch and encoder are on a seperate pcb from the sensor and MCU. So aftermarket options exist for those, but on the VMSE its all 1 pcb.

yeah the white one its super rare they cut the release down, word is they got bumped out for another company with bigger orders to fill that were more profitable

if you look at the timeline with everything you can see it was about 2 years of production when it ceased. Could be a contract ran out and the company that was getting paid 20 bucks a mouse to turn around and sell it for 300 or so was terminated when razer wouldn't renegotiate higher.

YES and NO the serial of the white corresponds to the actual unit number it does start from 1 and goes up but its not shown as a limited number on the box like the first release of the black rvmse

keep in mind the black units themselves are not even numbered but the serial number does match the number on the box

Only the first 1,337 units were serialized(from both the Black & White versions), all other units have normal Product/Serial Numbers tied to barcodes on the boxes

Removed the pcb cover, swapped the battery, 3d printed base, new switches, titanium screws and lubed the wheel and put a silicon sleeve on the encoder.

the serial number of the last batch was way too low , they never completed the white batch it was cancelled quietly around the time trump was tariff crazy and their last and final batch US couldn't buy. Writing was on the wall super high tariffs and US as a major customer they cancel because they wanted to make a lot of money no compromises.

they would rather kill it being a profitable venture than have it limp along, it was only viable with small amount of units if profit per unit was incredibly high

You should try WD-40 specialist contact cleaner. I sprayed a little bit inside of the wheel and it helped but not for long.

I am sure it will sell, the question is more "how fast" and how many runs they will do. I suspect it will be lower vs the VMSE + no colour variations either. Technically for 500 euro you can purchase/build really really good premium keyboard that can be quite custom as well.

Get whatever TKL wrist pad is most comfortable for you. Razer sells one, but it’s the firm pleather version. Other manufacturers have gel or foam that get decent reviews.

Wooting80he and 60hev2 still sounds better looks better has more functionality with advanced keys still has Lowe actuation and Lowe latency and Finalmouse centerpiece is still better too and you get a full on screen with adjustable actuation rapid trigger and SOCD and rappy snappy and you can play flappy bird key frogger even Mario when they add that just about any game on it and interactive skins both of which are way cheaper and look better than this overpriced keeb. Just don’t see the appeal of them when you can get a better sounding better looking more functionality keeb for cheaper unless you’re a Razer fanboy and only want your keeb to have Razer periferals in it.

But Logitech can learn from this and finally release their G303 Deadalous Apex with the old 115mm in length 65mm wide and 37mm height old dimensions g303 in wireless form with the Superstrike internals and HITS clicks not to fit only Shrouds hands if Razer can rerelease their old boomslang for $1,337 so can Logitech cuz that diamond shape is peak and is the most comfortable shape to ever grace the hands and palm and feels amazing for aggressive clawgrip.

Was using huntsman v3 pro mini here, I back on wooting 60he v2 for issue on Black Desert only with the razer idk how and why, but when I launch bdo the keyboard light turn off and on, the key stop to work during grind, even sometime in valorant, I needed to remove the usb cable and connect it again, happened on 2 huntsman, so I contacted razer last I buy like 3 vmse, 2 v3 pro, black widow chroma and kraken mercury / v4, they don’t know how to fix the issue

Hope the 8000hz one is fixed on this

If I don’t get bad experience with the 1000hz one, I’ll buy the signature but I was scared to sell my wooting v2 for it, and get issue after again

Well that explains it the original TenZ switches feel amazing tbh especially with the longer spring makes accidental fat f!nger!ng harder to do. That’s one thing that’s really good with the centerpiece pro is it’s really hard for me at least to fat f!nger!ng keys because the key switch thickness is way thicker than any regular keyboard keycap and the centerpiece pro key switch is glossy so my hands stick to is a lot easier like it’s rubber keycaps.

For me comparing to huntsman V3 pro (not the 8k, the first one) - generally better sound/feel with two caveats:

• the backspace is noticeably "different" with more friction and different feel
• the spacebar is the bigger issue - simply way too different sound and not clean one + A LOT louder, hard to explain. Works good, but even the huntsman v3 pro imho was with better sounding/feeling spacebar that is more consistent with the rest of the keys. This one have too much high pitch noise and "easier to press/too wobbly/loose" feel to it

given that the spacebar is something you press a lot while typic and playing, I feel it's either defective in some sense (as it works and marks all the downwards levels) or it's simply not on par with the rest of the keyboard. I am more towards that it's the latter.

The huntsman is a god tier keyboard in terms of the number of gamers its touched, I know more gamers that have owned one than didn't its classic TKL layout and its early days glory its embossed in this testament to yesteryear. Its a nostalgia luxury sale to the more grown up that easily afford just to have it sitting in a collection of hundreds of other peripherals vibe. Its target audience is precisely the person who uses for a week or a month or two and then swaps in something new.

I just bought their flagship keyboard like a month ago. XD
But I have no believe I would manage to be able to buy one of these . And it's probably too expensive anyway. And if it breaks, good luck getting a new one ever. Personally I like being able to go to the local store and pick up the current gen razer replacement when it breaks.
Also kind of strange that it has no adjustable feet, and no wrist pad.

In my opinion it's worth it, but it's more into tastes, the price when it's in stock on Razer.com it's kind of fair for what it offers, plus it's an exclusive edition that is only available in certain dates and for limited units, so a lot people wants it. Resellers also increase the cost like 300% or 400%.

It has Razer modern tech like the Razer Optical Analog Switches Gen‑2, True 8,000 Hz HyperPolling, Razer Snap Tap & a 5 years warranty.

About the key feel I'm not sure but I'd say it's good.

I wouldn't say that the price is worth it or fair but it's not too egregious; it's clearly a special edition aimed for the biggest Razer fans that are willing to pay the upcharge for a limited high end product (much better value than the Boomslang anniversary at least)

Typing experience should be fine. I'm sure you can get better for cheaper but it's a further improvement on the Huntsman V3 Pro 8KHz

I will say that if I had to spend $500 on a gaming keyboard from a mainstream brand, I would probably get the ASUS ROG Azoth Extreme over this
