Hi! Does anybody have successfully connected to deconz vnc server? I have tried to connect trough the buildt in vnc viewer on my mac with no success. the connection ask for password and when i provide a password the dialog just tries to connect forever with noe errors or success.

Iโ€™ve noticed I have a โ€˜OpenZWaveโ€™ topic in MQTT. I used to have this installed when it was in beta but have long ago moved to zwavejs. Any idea what is publishing to this topic? Is there a way to check if somehow OpenZWave didn't uninstall correctly?

Hey, After the SSD died of my NUC, I reinstalled proxmox, and setup hassOS in a VM. Restored a backup, but all addons show as "not running", the log shows it's running.. rebooting VM, HA, and reinstalling addon does not change the issue. Note that everything is up-to-date

Hey, is it possible for an add-on to generate internal notifications in Home Assistant such that they appear in the Notifications panel in the web UI?
Or (even better) show a little dot on the Ingress menu item on the sidebar? Tried Googling but struggling to filter through all the "Android/iOS push notifications" results
EDIT: Gah, right after sending this I found the 'persistent_notification.create' service, which is exactly what I want... now to see if there's a way to hook that into an add-on such that the notification links back to that add-on somehow.

[Bitwarden_RS] Hi folks, I've checked the 3 locations of docs - Bitwarden_RS on GitHub and both HomeAssistant addon docs. I haven't found info where I can set environment variables when run in the context of an addon. (I need to set the env vars in order to use a Yubikey for 2FA). Should I just exec into the container and do it manually, or is there a better way (i.e. via HA addon config).

so there was a bug fixed in 2022.08.5 of supervisor that could've explained it in the past couple weeks. That version of supervisor was released on Monday afternoon or so though so I wouldn't have expected it to happen in the past 24 hours. Got any supervisor logs of the event?

I've just built a new development HassOS system to act as a testbed for changes before rolling them into my production system. I've created the new development system and its up and running. However, I'm NOT able to access it remotely using DuckDNS and LetsEncrypt. I have the certificates in the SSL folder and can ping the system both locally and remotely. I configured my router to forward port 443 to my development systems IP port 8123. Any ideas or suggestions on how to proceed with troubleshooting the inability to gain remote access?

Just got around to checking this, but the default config for the Mosquitto add-on does not seem to accept anonymous connections.

I am having an issue with the Ngnix Progy Manager add on. It's running and working however I can't get to the web interface. It is showing version 0.0.0 and my login doesn't work but I can log in with the admin@example.com however none of my hosts are there. Any suggestions

Hello, I am having trouble with esp-home. I am using the home assistant addon (Hass OS on Raspberry Pi, and ESP32 Board).
The device show up online in ESP- Home dashboard, but changes to offline some times.
But the biggest issue is that the configured identities in esp-home do not show up in home-assistant.
I updated all components and reprogrammed the esp32 boards many times. Does anyone know what I could try?

Hey, I just installed Home Assistant OS (2022.8.7) on a Raspberry Pi, and installed the File Editor add-on (5.3.3) and when I click Start for the File Editor, it seems like it should be starting but it does not. The logs show this:

I think by default all of the sensors etc. are not added, you need to add some of them manually. I have already did it to mine so I don't remember the exact steps but you need to go to the integration and then the device. Click on the device maybe under the control or sensors (I don't remember which) and then you will see a dropdown at the bottom. I forget what the drop down is called but your additional sensor will be there to add.

Thanks for the tip. I tried to restart the integration and checked that the auto discovery is set to true in the settings of the integration. I cannot add sensors to the device because the device is not shown in the integration (only the one I already set up 2 month ago).

Hi guys. I have a NUT server running on the network on a separate server, and an APC ups plugged in via USB to it. My Home-assistant server is a separate box entirely, but I've set up both the integration and the add-on and both appear to be connecting.

The integration pulls in the various metrics, and the add-on's log file shows it connects as slave/netclient.

Do I need to be running both? I was under the impression that the integration was purely a monitor (i.e. sensor readings only) but the add-on was what actually would trigger the shutdown if the UPS is tripped into action. Is this correct?

So, now I can access the remote URL from mobile devices (one on my network and one not on my network) but on my computer I can't even ping the URL.

Output of ping (note I replaced a couple of fields regarding the domain name / subdomain):
ping: subdomain.example.com: Name or service not known

I can't even access the local IP of my home assistant instance (on my computer), I can only access my internet gateway's IP. That might even go away since just a couple of minutes ago I could access other self-hosted services I host on my network.

I restarted my wifi and server and that seems to fix it, hopefully it stays that way.

For some reason the app on my iPad is extremely slow though even when using an internal IP, more than a remote access URL. Itโ€™s relatively fast on the website though.

is there a way to downgrade an add-on if I'm running HAOS? I'm looking to revert back to zwaveJS 0.1.65, but my oldest backup is 0.1.66. I can see all the images and containers via SSH, and can pull the 0.1.65 image (via docker pull homeassistant/amd64-addon-zwave_js:0.1.65) but not sure where to go from there

Concerning the Mosquitto add-on not accepting anonymous connections anymore, does that mean creating a user in HA will be good for the add-on or does it need to be done somewhere else? I have a user setup for it but I keep getting the "received null username or password for unpwd check" error.

What's weird is that I can restore a full backup and it works correctly for about 15 minutes but then starts having the same error again.

I'm having a problem with a binary_sensor created by my esphome device. It's state, in HA, is 'unavailable' during start-up, which subsequently causes an error with a blueprint-automation I have "The automation "Synchronize states" (automation.synchronize_states) has an action that calls an unknown service: homeassistant.turn_unavailable.". I've tried setting the binary sensor publish_initial_state to true but that doesn't help, it's 'unavailable' on the HA side until everything initialises. Does anyone here know of a way to control this behaviour?

not_from: unavailable did indeed stop the automation from triggering but I still received the error when restarting HA Synchronize states uses an unknown service seems odd that the service call homeassistant.turn_{{ trigger.to_state.state }} is being checked, even if the automation isn't triggered. This is the blueprint https://community.home-assistant.io/t/synchronize-the-on-off-state-of-2-entities/259010. I came to this channel thinking there was maybe a way to control the 'unavailable' via the esphome addon but I maybe it's a question I should take to the 'general' channel, around the behaviour of the Repair Service, which is giving me an error message on restart. Anyone have any suggestion on how I can get back into Nginx Proxy Manager? I have version 0.12.2 installed and all of my hosts are working (expect for the one I want to change). When I try to open the Web UI it shows version 0.0.0 and my login doesn't work, only the default admin@example.com. I tried rebooting, clearing cache, opening on a different browser and device and resetting the database but I still can't get in.

AdGuard appears to be working but all the stats remain zero. When I first installed it reporting was OK. Then for some reason it stopped. Restarted the add-on. Stopped and started it, even deleted and reinstalled it. Cleared browser cache, even used a different browser. AdGuard v. 4.7.3 HassOS 2022.8.7 Any ideas where to start looking look?

Hi all, noticed strange behaviour of Mosquito. I run my HA on RP4 and after power cut clients are not able to connect to MQTT (I have few Tasmotas) Just after stop and start Service it accepting connections. Somehow noticed that restart of Mosquito do not helping just stop and start again.

Hi! My Home Assistant on NUC crashed. It kept rebooting and did not load. Took another SSD and flashed a clean system on it. Used a full back-up to restore. Now after this the add-ons are black-white. When I click start, nothing happens. Mosquitto is working, as I can control my Tasmota devices but shows red dot, not green. Same with Spotify, add-on works as should, but it is grayscale and has a red dot. Have uninstalled and installed, no help... I can not even start File editor, nothing happens when I click Start.

Hi all, I've been recently struggling with the Mosquito Add-On. It randomly causes different automations to lose connection to the MQTT broker, which is immediately resolved by restarting the Mosquito addon. The logs are flooded if, what looks like auto-generated device identifiers, indicating something disconnected and reconnected, almost every 10 seconds - has anyone seen this behavior:

I am using Zigbee2MQTT, Acurite2MQTT, some SDR2MQTT addons, and a Supla cloud.

I am guessing it's related to Supla cloud which was integrated 2 years ago, and I must admit I have no clue how it's working now.

I am suddenly and without explanation my Node-Red addon is not connecting to the server. I was trying to work on a new flow when I went to look at a previous flow and no entites are connected. It shows the Node-Red token expired or is non existant. Can anyone give some ideas on how to fix this.

Hi guys! I have HomeAssistant vmdk running on a vm on an Unraid server. Everytime I try to install SSH & Web terminal is just spins constantly at the install. After waiting 5min I reboot and it shows it has been added. I make sure the port is set to 22, set a password and try to start it and get this error: Image ghcr.io/hassio-addons/ssh/amd64:12.0.2 does not exist for addon_a0d7b954_ssh. I cannot get past this, does anyone have ideas?

Hello everyone, I have an issue with the Mosquito MQTT Broker add-on.

Basically, it works perfectly under every circumstance, across host reboots and so on, except for one thing.

Every time there's a power outage and the RPi is forcefully shutdown, something happens to the Mosquito Add-on

#

After HA restarts, the broker looks like it boots successfully and all indications are that it has, but no device is able to connect to it anymore. Every device says the MQTT broker is unavailable.

If I go to Mosquito's logs, everything is full of the following

If I reboot the RPi itself, nothing changes, but if I reboot the Mosquito add-on alone, everything starts working again, as it should.

Hello, I just movedn from RPi3 with HAOS to RPi4 with HA Supervised. Everything works again except RaspberyMatic AddOn. When I install the AddOn and start the Container problem begins with "Starting rfd: ....................ERROR". It takes a very long time to start the cointainer and it is marked as "unhealthy". When I login into RaspberryMatic via HA some of the topics in menu just creates erroro messages.

When I install CCU container out of HA everything works like expected.

When I start the AddOn container after I hat started CUU, both container are marked as healthy, there is no error when clicking the menu and the only message during starting the container of the addon is that RF hardware can not be found.

To summarize: Hardware & Software works but not as addon of HA. I have installed the complete system with the newest software yesterday.

I don't know what that means in "Ubuntu jargon"... I open the phone app in Android Home Assistant to switch something on/off and I get as a "greeting": "1 new message" -> "new Device discovered"->TUYA (this can only be the washing machine, everything else is already integrated, that's the only thing left. (Alexa and Google have it, HA doesn't)

Yesterday I found, that the ESPHome was no more updating, because the new featres were not available (Bluetooth Proxy). I have uninstalled the addon and newly installed, then it works. I'm having a problem with ESPHome not starting. Looking at the log, everything looks OK until that last line: Starting NGINX . . . then nothing. Not sure why NGINX is starting since switching ISP who uses CG-NAT I can no longer use duckdns (which I uninstalled) so I don't access HA from outside my home. At this point, not sure even where to start trouble-shooting. Not sure how NGINX was installed, but should I uninstall it since I'm not using remote access? I could sure use some help.

Hello, Iโ€™ve installed AdGuard Home on HA which is installed on a VM on a Windows 2019 Server. I have added the HA IP address to my routerโ€™s Static DNS 1: 192.168.0.90, DNS 2 and 3 are 0.0.0.0 Wins is 0.0.0.0. Iโ€™ve tried adding HA IP address to one device's DNS as a test and tried accessing a website. AdGuard Dashboard shows all zeros, not statistics at all as if itโ€™s not working. Iโ€™m sure I missed a simple setting but canโ€™t find the solution. Also, I donโ€™t see a adguard.yaml file under CONFIG. Did I miss something?

Had to restore my Hassio from backup. Had it running on a RaspberryPI, but installed and restored it to a virtualbox.
But now add-ons are not started, if i click start, nothing changes. If i check state using CLI, the state is unknown.

moving from #integrations-archived #integrations-archived message where I managed to get an Olimex bluetooth proxy enabled with the help of the good people over there. However, the ESPhome addon is still a mystery. I can get the Lan connected Olimex to appear correctly in the devices. However, it does exactly nothing, no discovery of any bt devices at all.

Blakadder told me not to worry, and not use the Esphome add-on. But I wonder what will happen when I add some wifi devices, for which I do need the Esphome add-on, and see the constant discovery of the Olimex(es) I can not touch. because when I want to adopt, it seeks wifi, cant find it because its on Lan, and then shows a second, but offline' device. Which I then edit with the yaml from the official repo on https://github.com/esphome/bluetooth-proxies/blob/main/olimex-esp32-poe-iso.yaml and see it connect. However, closing the log window only shows this same situation: 1 discovered 1 offline....

Silly question perhaps, but I set up MQTT broker to work with Zigbee2MQTT but I'm pretty sure I didn't specify a username and password. When I hit reconfig on the MQTT addon now there's a username and a long password. Where did this come from? ๐Ÿ™‚ I thought I had a password free setup and struggled setting up OctoPrint MQTT connection. ๐Ÿ™‚

This is happening constantly, and since the IPs are internal to HA (I think), I cannot figure out what is what.

I would not be bothered by this too much, but I believe this is resulting in complete Mosquitto lock up and or crash, every few days.

The other addons like Z2m lose connection to MQTT and restarting Mosquitto resolves it for another 12-72 hours

I have a issue with the file editor on my raspberry pi 3. I installed the Home Assistant OS on my pi 3 to port it from a raspberry pi 4 since i need to use that one for something else. Ii used a backup and it installed everything fine only does the file editor not start and says it needs to be started.
i try to reinstall it to no avail.
Any Ideas what else i may try ?

i seem to have broken something. phpadmin addon won't start. Same for NGinx add on. Because their logins fail for root use. the log is full with root being denied.

I'm noticing that after a reboot, I have to stop Zigbee2MQTT and Mosquitto broker and than start them back up starting with Mosquitto broker in-order for either of them to work. Any ideas on how to fix this?

I should note, if I dont do this, I get 502: Bad Gateway for Zigbee2MQTT and they both are just generally broken until I stop and start them

I just migrated my install and tried installing AdGuard Home addon. it required me to change my network to Static. I did that, and I don't know if it's related, but none of my addon's will start now. I changed the network config back to dynamic but still no addon's start. the log shows the last msg as "starting nginx.."

Need some help please. I just got a couple esp32, flashed them and added them to HA thru the https://esphome.github.io/bluetooth-proxies/ website. The ESP32 device shows up in my HA devices, but it does not find any other BT devices. So I am not sure if I did something wrong, or if auto discovery is turned off somewhere in HA??? I seen a youtube video where their fitbit watch connected, it does not find mine or my wifes watch. I also flashed one of the esp32 with ESPresence, and I noticed that after it was flashed, the board had a flashing blue light. The other boards with ESPHome do not flash a blue light, wondering if it is even turning on the bluetooth?

Question - I have an install with NGINX Proxy Manager installed along with MariaDB. In the NPM logs it appears to not be using MariaDB as it mentions SQLite. In addition, when I go to log in to the NPM web UI it says no valid user. Even still, NPM/SSL continue to work in the background, so it's definitely using a valid config - but that valid config must exist in MariaDB (including the users). I have no idea how to make it work with MariaDB though. There's no settings in the config tab that suggest I can shoehorn MariaDB in place. Any ideas?

Hi - does anyone recognise the circumstance where the SAMBA addon no longer allows configuration - I cannot change config options. Even after uninstall/reinstall I cannot even change the password (which means it cannot run). The config otherwise works, and passes the config test - just SAMBA misbehaving.

I've got a strange issue - at some point the Z-Wave JS addon got installed on my system, but I've been using the Z-Wave JS to MQTT add-on for all of my Z-Wave needs since adding my first device. I've tried uninstalling the unused/disabled Z-Wave JS add-on several (3-5 times), but it always keeps coming back. Any thoughts or suggestions for being able to remove it and keep it removed?

Does anyone have advice on getting Z2M to actually find devices? I've followed multiple walkthroughs at this point to get everything set up correctly, which I think I have, but Z2M never finds devices that are in pairing mode after I click on "Permit join (All)". I even enabled debug logging and it shows absolutely nothing.

FYI The problem with SAMBA config was that the password is now check against the pwned list and I block a lot of traffic outbound!
So the error was found in the Supervisor log as:

I am having issues with zigbee2mqtt now, after working flawlessly for a long time. It starts for about a minute, then I get this message:

I assume this should be in add-ons and not integrations however I am having an issue with the Ngnix Progy Manager add on. It's running and working however I can't get to the web interface. It is showing version 0.0.0 with 0.12.2 installed and my login doesn't work but I can log in with the admin@example.com however none of my hosts are there. Any suggestions?

Anyone know how to completely uninstall Nginx Proxy Manager so I can start from scratch? I have uninstalled the add-on and restarted HA, then deleted the nginxproxymanager folder inside the ssl folder but when trying to open the web ui it still shows version v0.0.0

Zigbee2MQTT - I've got 2 Xiaomi Blind Drivers (lumi.curtain.acn002) setup and working fine, however when checking for an OTA update, one of them gives the error "Failed to check if update available for 'Right Blind' (Failed to find endpoint which support OTA cluster)

The other one works absolutely fine even though they're identical devices.

Any ideas what could be wrong?

Hi guys! Finally turning in for assistance here...
I tried my best, about 3 hours of dedicated work, but I can't solve the issue:
I moved houses recently and changed internet providers, that's been the only change, but access to my HA is all a mess.
Locally, I can access via the local IP https://192.168.1.16:8123 or https://homeassistant.local (however the browser reports that the certificate is invalid).
However, I cannot access my external url while on the local network (aka https://mydnsname.duckdns.org)
I can access the external url if I'm not connected to the network.
This means I can only use the HA app while I'm away from my home.

I tried many solutions I found on the net, but none of them worked.
Including reinstalling DuckDNS Addon, using NGINX Proxy (errors trying to create a new certificate), check ports on the router.

Any ideas?

Hi folks, I did an update last night, it had been a while... Unfortunately I appear to have broken my node-red addon somehow. It doesn't seem to be able to reach Home Assistant.

I can see the following error in the logs:

[mqtt-broker:Hassio] Connection failed to broker: nodered@mqtt://mqtt.mydomain.net:1883

I've tried pinging from within the nodered docker, and that works/resolves fine. I'm not sure why it's trying to use the username "nodered" but I created that user as well .. still no luck ..

Any suggestions?!

ESPHome uses mDNS to check if the devices are online. If something about your network is preventing that then it will fail. Use the ping option in the addon configuration instead.

One of my HA instances doesn't show the update from ZWaveJS2MQTT 0.47.0 to ZWaveJSUI 1.0.0 even if I refresh manually. Is the rollout done in waves or is there a way to force the repo to refresh? Regarding the NGINX Addon - is it possible to use this in a "backwards" way to act as a simple HTTP webserver. I can see that you can turn off SSL, and I presume you don't have to use proxying - can you just listen on port 80 and get it to serve files on HTTP requests - where would the files appear on the HAOS file system?

From issue earlier about HTTP webserver - the FraserF addon store at https://github.com/FaserF/hassio-addons has a simple apache addon which seems to work pretty well almost immediately.
FYI I am using this to get around the problem with SONOS speakers that they will not play anything from an HTTPS instance of HomeAssistant using a private CA - so adding a simple webserver will allow media to be played from within the Home Assistant file system to the SONOS speakers using http.

Had an issue last night cause I turn my TV off with an outlet at night, and when it turned back on my router it assigned my TV a new IP and HA lost its connection to it. Hello everyone,
I find myself with a problem that I have never had and have not yet been able to solve, I think it depends on the supervisor.
In practice, all my add-ons appear to be inactive but in reality they are.
It is possible to reach the page of the service via local ip and also the log section of the addon works correctly giving in output all the various addon events.
I encountered this problem after an update with the NginxReverseProxy plugin and since I didnโ€™t know how to fix it, I proceeded to import a backup to restore a previous state.
I installed Hassio from 0 and imported the backup. The result was that the problem extended from a single addon to all addons.
Backup dates back to a time when everything worked fine.

I have this weird issue with the ZWave JS UI addon and the official ZWave JS addon; whenever there is an update, they can no longer connect to the ZStick. It seems that both addons want to access the ZWave stick directly; is this normal, am I misunderstanding? Is there a fix? hey i want to set up ssl withou duckdns as i already have a domain name pointing to homeassistant. i installed the Let's Encrypt addon and successfully got a cert:

however it seems that homeassistant doesn't use it automatically, if i try to access the instance prepending https i get ssl_protocol_error

Someone got the same problem my duckdns. My service stopped working. My IP adress is uptodate thou and i cant find the problem why i cant connect via my duckdns url. Hi, Kind of new to home Assistant. trying to set up remote access using DuckDNS and NGINX. The DuckDNS configuration works great and the certificates are in place.
But I can't get the NGINX setup to work (i guess), or have I miss understood it's functionality

The only URL I can use is https://myhomeassistant.duckdns.org:8123.
I can't use http://myhomeassistant.duckdns.org:8123, http://mylocalip:8123, or https://mylocalip:8123

Is there any good way to test the NGINX setup to get some more information

Hi, I try to connect my shellies with node red in Homeassistant but i always get a timeout. The same Flow is running on an other raspeberry were i installed Node red directly. Is there in the homeassistand Node red a firewall or something that prevent me to communicate wit my shellies?

duckdns may be dead, I gave up after 3 days of on and off and switched to DYNU ddns, this addon exists in the store but it does not work, you need to change 3 lines, after you pass this issues all is fine, then obviously you need to change all phones, tablets, alexa or google assistant etc but I think there is no way around it, duckdns might not recover and I doubt you will have patience to wait.

Since duckdns is not working properly I just signed up for Nabu Casa and I am working on switching everything over to the url they provided. I forgot how much I used duckdns for... I am having one issue. I was using Dnsmasq to resolve the external duckdns url to my local HA IP. I've tried to use the Naba Casa url and forward to my local IP and it is not connecting. "Unable to connect to Home Assistant" message and a timer for retry. Anything easy I may be missing?

Ah, I had the old duckdns setting there. Should I use HA cloud for internet and local IP for local network? When I put in the local address I get the following message "You have configured an HTTPS certificate in Home Assistant. This means that your internal URL needs to be set to a domain covered by the certficate." Is there an easy way to remove that cert? Or should I leave the cert the way it is. I guess I could go through the instructions on how I added it in the first place

Hi...i need help...im running home assistant in virtual box for past few weeks and i use adguard addon (in home assistant server )and have the router dns servers as adguard server address and adguard works great ...my problem is when home assistant isnt running ..then the whole house wifi gets limited no access to internet ...only my running back home assistant server ...network internet works ...any way to fix?

I've installed various addons, where I can access node-red UI from outside of the homeassistant:8123 url, using homeassistant:1880/
All other addons, like influxdb, vscode, tasmota, etc. are not accessble natively from my browser.

Hello all,
I have a problem with Home Assistant on my Raspberry Pi. The Adguard Home app is causing problems. The problems only affect devices on the network.
If I set the DNS server in the router, everything works as it should. But after 1-2 days there are problems with mobile devices: For example, the cell mobile phone shows that the network is having problems and many pages then cannot be opened. Devices connected via cable have no problems. If I reset the DNS server, everything works again immediately.

Hello, do you know any add-on climate controller that has some more to it than just a pid climate from esphome or the generic thermostat integration from HA? I would like it to consider the room temperature obviously, but also the weather state (sunny/not), some logic to adapt/identify the room properties and then to adapt the controller alogrithm/parameters and the output would be to drive the radiator valve directly...

I am using Zigbee2MQTT and added an Ikea E1743 sensor.
It shows up perfectly fine in Z2M, pressing the buttons triggers state change in the Z2M but there happens nothing in HA.
The do ControllerX documentation says, there should be a Z2M_DEVICE_NAME_action entity in HA, but there isn't

All I find is an entity for the battery state and firmware update availability...

It means there is a device with 2 entities (+2 hidden ones) created in HA for the joined ZigBee device, but nothing for the button's functionality any automations could interact with.

Unfortunately my update to HA 2022.10 caused that my automations were chrashed and removed from the UI. Therefore i restored HA 2022.9.7

Restore was more or less successfull but z2m does no longer start! I've several times tried to reinstall it but does not solve the issue. The Add-On does not start and i cant access the UI via sidebar

And the log shows nothing but i am able to control my zigbee devices so radio seems to work. Its really strange but also annoying
