#

Yeah, Walt, I do lose them every restart

lime locust
#

limit of cc2531 number of paired devices is greater than 8 right ?

#

it is a switch that seemingly is able to directly pair to lightbulbs , but i have no zigbee bulbs yet , just need the actions

silent lintel
#

I have this wierd thing where my light is showing up as available, but it wont turn on, and in fact turns itself off when i try from the front end. This is a Z2M supported device https://imgur.com/B2Kk5eJ

#

I don't see any errors anywhere

lime locust
#

well have more than 5 devices without any problems , so i'll guess it can take 16 devices without routers

#

8 sensor running fine

#

can i switch to dev build container without repairing all devices ?

amber gull
#

@verbal shale Not sure what else you could do for those repeaters, I would guess it's the same bug then

ivory hound
#

hey @amber gull you talk early about an ikea bug, I didn't get to much from it but i do have a question:
the problem that I encounter is after a while the 3 ikea bulbs i have start to not set the correct brightness when light.turn_on from a switch, for example switch should do brightness: 225 and one in 3 or 4 times it does lower brightness. now if i power off (cut the power) bulbs and then power them on again, they work OK again for a while, then this behavior happens again (I use ZHA with elelabs coordinator)

#

think this is because of that bug?

mellow geode
#

Very unlikely. Your bug seems to be something different

amber gull
#

I would think it's something different too -- you might collect debug logs and note down time of when it does not correctly set brightness and we can check it out

foggy dragon
amber gull
#

Yes, that's it @foggy dragon

#

Fixed in SiLabs 6.7.7 or higher -- we are waiting on IKEA to upgrade -- they are quite a few versions back, and it looks like their engineers maybe don't quite know what they are always doing in the firmware department

silent lintel

#

Walt, what are you doing in OpenHab forums? 🧐

torn saffron
#

Hi. I moved from ZHA momentarily to check out Z2M. When I RE-added the ZHA integration and re-paired my Hue bulb, it now said the bulb’s manufacturer is β€œSignify”, and the device page no longer showed its using a quirk. Previously it was using a quirk and the manufacturer was Phillips. I’m aware Signify is Phillips, but what could explain the disparity?

molten linden
#

Likely a fw update on the bulb while on z2m

mellow geode
#

Yeah, the quirk is re-applied when using the latest HA beta.

#

A firmware update changed the manufacturer name of some of the Bluetooth capable bulbs from Philips to Signify Netherlands B.V

dense radish
#

How can I reset a Phillips hue bulb without the dimmer?

#

I've done it like a year ago but I forgot how to do it

dusky hill
#

how hard is it to do the soldering required for external antenna on CC1352P-2 board? the instructions make it difficult to see how its done rather than what needs to be done

amber gull
#

It's. Tiny.

dusky hill
#

looks tiny from the pics

amber gull
#

I can gob solder on the big stuff. But I didn't want to try after seeing it in person

dusky hill
#

ya that was my concern as well. i assume range is sufficient without it anyways? looks to be 1 of the stronger 1s

amber gull
#

Yes, it was actually as strong as many of the regular and popular sticks.

#

Even without the PA turned all the way up

dusky hill

im using the conbee ii atm and its fine but dont like the proprietary side of it

I hear that

amber gull
#

dusky hill
#

nice, ya dunno if/when the need for that, but like that its supported by TI as well as z2m

amber gull
#

I migrated from 1352 to ZZH to tube hub

dusky hill
#

and if needed can try my hand at the external antenna

molten linden
#

I killed mine trying to do it 😭

#

this was a while back.. if I'd do it now I'd use hot air and solder paste

#

but I toasted the pads.

dusky hill
#

ya doesnt sounds like something that needs to happen haha

near echo
#

I use cc1352p2 as well. Signal is strong without external antenna. Try it out and see for yourself. Later if you think any device is not connecting then let's see.

#

And while you are at it and wish to do dev, it is a great board for that and future proof for tech like "thread"

torn saffron
#

Is there a way to map IEEEs/any kind of product identifier to an immutable entity_id in YAML files (that will survive restarts, unpairing and repairing, and even restoring from backup)?

For example, I want one Hue light to always get the entity_id bedroom_light when I pair it no matter how or when.

jolly narwhal
#

that is easy with zigbee2mqtt atleast

#

or... if you mean the same light

#

or did you mean any hue light ?

sour shadow

Pretty sure that's not do-able in ZHA or deCONZ

So ... I've been running HA on a proxmox VM/Debian/Supervised using ZHA.

What is the communities view on the best mqtt setup for HA (I'll be using a TI USB stick)?

gritty frigate
#

Greetings πŸ™‚

#

I'm running into some intermittent challenges with ZZH, and I'm wondering if you guys have seen anything like this

#

symptom: sensor suddenly starts reporting the same values for a long time

#

for example: a Philips HUE motion would keep reporting 6.9lx of light for hours, and motion (occupancy) stuck in "on"

#

reconfiguring doesn't seem to solve, restarting HA sometimes does. Re-adding the device always fixes the challenge.

#

device seems to be online, e.g. no indication of anything going sideways - besides values look titsup

#

may I ask for some guidance on how to debug this?

#

(HassOS on a Raspberry 4, Lama/ZZH stick as my interface)

amber gull
#

Best to start by upgrading firmware on ZZH first, lock up issue was just fixed a few days ago that could be your issue

#

physically pulling the ZZH out or restarting the box would be the only way to bring it back to life

gritty frigate
#

oh great, thanks @amber gull

#

not sure that fully applies though: " The symptoms would be loss of communication with the zigbee coordinator radio. "

#

I'm looking at a single device suffering at the moment, all the others do work

#

which contradicts that statement if I'm reading it correcly

amber gull
#

Yes, that bug is loss for all devices

gritty frigate
#

new firmware won't hurt, but won't get my hopes up πŸ˜„

amber gull
#

Are you using z2m or ZHA?

gritty frigate
#

ZHA

#

and CC2652R that is for ZZH I believe

amber gull
#

Not too familiar with the hue motion, but if lux is sticking .. probably root cause is a routing issue in your network

#

I would start by enabling debug logging and looking at your network map when everything is working

#

does it report lux periodically normally or only on motion events?

gritty frigate
#

that is what it feels like tbh - something at some point interferes and kicks it off

amber gull
#

Vis is at Config > Interations > ZHA > Visualization

gritty frigate
#

periodically - this thing has 3 sensors, I think they're linked (e.g. all report when it's time)

#

cool, on it

gritty frigate
#

new info in the logs tho, says "Timeout fetching sensor data"

amber gull
#

No, but you want to determine parent of the problematic sensor

#

scan not on demand yet, but I think you can scan... maybe with zha_custom or zha_map (haven't tested either recently)

gritty frigate
#

trying to add the device up again and see if there's anything weird coming up in the logs

#

that looks okayish

whole crown
gritty frigate
amber gull
#

The call is coming....from inside the house....no! 😱 πŸ˜‚

#

That's not good!

#

Looking good Samantha!

gritty frigate
amber gull
#

(it was in dev, testing for 13 days)

#

can you leave debug logging on until it drops off again and then share them here

gritty frigate
#

oh cool - I'll prep up for some flashing ;D

amber gull
#

make sure you back up first!

gritty frigate
#

not that worried about that - I've got like 3 devices added, so as long as I can readd & name them as they were, all comes back to life πŸ˜„

amber gull
#

you can re-add them without removing from HA and they will come back with the same name actually -- but backup is needed (and recommended) if you want to keep the same network

gritty frigate
#

I'll give it a go - better safe than sorry

#

thanks

#

actually... I've got another ZZH stick πŸ˜„

#

maybe it's time to flash that one instead πŸ˜„

amber gull
#

You can backup first, flash second, restore on second

#

then after everything works great, you can flash first with router firmware and have it extend your mesh

gritty frigate
#

yep, thats the plan

mighty lava
#

Hey guys, do you know if it's possible to run a NVRAM backup of my CC2652RB with zigpy_znp.tools.nvram_read in Hassos ? If I connect to the ha-core docker container from hassos and run it, it's not working because the serial port is alerady in use by ha-core. Is there a way to ask home-assistant to disconnect this serial port or is there a way to stop home-assistant without having to stop the homeassistant container so I can perform this backup ?

amber gull
#

You can back it up on any system that has a late-ish version of python and USB port

mighty lava
#

Thank you Walt. Right, I feel this will be easier.
Would have been great though to be able to do it from hassos, without having to disconnect the dongle and plug it to another box.

austere patio
amber gull
#

haven't tried it that way puds, the docker container may monitor the process and mark the container as unhealthy if the PID is killed and auto restart it for you

#

but never ran hassos, so not sure

mighty lava
#

am trying, will figure out in a couple of seconds. Thanks puddly

amber gull
#

I assume removing ZHA integration temporarily would do it, but I think that now as the side effect of wiping out any automations with device triggers

austere patio
#

Yeah. Might be a lot easier to just do it the normal way (you don't have to stop HA, it'll auto reconnect when you plug the USB in) but the hard way is sometimes more fun

mighty lava
#

nope, it's not pausing the process.

#

bash-5.0# kill -TSTP 236
bash-5.0# ps -o stat,pid,args | grep python
S 236 python3 -m homeassistant --config /config

austere patio
#

Odd

mighty lava
#

if I just kill it, is there any side effect ? Teh supervisor may figure out and restart the process or the container.

austere patio
#

I think it kills the container or something

amber gull
#

it may be doing a port check too for health

Hi Guys,
A newbie question after searching all blogs posts ...
I installed Home Assistant in docker under windows 10 PRO following this procedure https://www.home-assistant.io/docs/installation/docker/#windows
I want to run CC2531 with zigbee devices. I flashed the CC2531 with windows following this procedure https://www.zigbee2mqtt.io/information/flashing_the_cc2531.html#windows I can see the devices in the windows device manager everything seems OK. But
I'm unable to see the device from inside Home Assistant docker container. Is there somewhere a step by step instruction of what needs to be done to be able to access a CC2531 plugged into windows 10 from a Home Assistant docker container ?

I have the following issue:
I have a couple of the GLEDOPTO "Pro" Zigbee controllers and I was actually sent some OTA updates (after multiple months).
However, some controllers and images use manufacturer_id=0 (luckily they're the only one on my network that do this). But image_id is always 0.
Z2M solved this by also matching the model of Zigbee device. Now, I was sent an OTA file which has the same file version as the one that's running on the device.
I modified zigpy code (should_update) to "force" it to upgrade. Since this is now on my test network, I'm using a ConBee (and only the stick and the GLEDOPTO device are on it right now).
This is the log output: https://paste.ubuntu.com/p/9dGBrqXCWW/
Basically, it seems to fail due to "ZCL request 0x000b: [2, <Status.INSUFFICIENT_SPACE: 137>". Does anyone know what that means?

Edit: here's the same thing done but with an EZSP based adapter (Elelabs): https://paste.ubuntu.com/p/nzWFTBMcx8/

There are three Zigbee options with Home Assistant (regardless of how you install it). These are:

deCONZ is relatively stable and mature with its own UI (and Discord server). It can run in an add-on, in a Docker container, or natively. Only the ConBee range of sticks and RaspBee GPIO boards are support. Known working devices are documented, and how to request support for a new device is documented too (you can't add unsupported devices yourself).

zha is actively developed as part of Home Assistant Core, using the zigpy stack, the UI also being part of Home Assistant. The EmberZNet based sticks are recommended, but there are other options. There is no list of supported devices, as any standards compliant device should work. Devices that require extra support are listed, and adding unsupported devices is documented (you can't add unsupported devices yourself).

Zigbee2MQTT is very actively developed and can run in an add-on, in a Docker container, and natively. As of 1.15 has a native UI, and it also uses MQTT for control and configuration. It supports mostly TI based sticks, with the Zig-Ah-Zig-Ah! and Slaesh's sticks being recommended. The known working devices are well documented (which usually includes how to pair them so you don't have to find the manual), and adding unsupported devices is also documented.

@whole crown maybe get MQTT Explorer? So you can visually see what's happening. IBM has some good documentation somewhere I believe. You have a broker which is the server. Everything connects to itοΏΌ and devices can pass messages on arbitrary topics around. You can also subscribe to specific topics or a wild card

Does anyone have an up to date guide to add unsupported device (Tuya device) to Home Assistant? I tried to find online but I am having issues as I do not have any prior experience. What I've done up till this point:

I have a cc2531 as the coordinator connected to the usb port of a raspberry pi 3b+ flashed with Home Assistant

I am also using zigbee2mqtt add on from the hassio addons

Hi guys, is anyone here usinc C2531 dongle? . Is it the CC2531 require to flash it before it could work with Raspberry Pi HA OS ?.
Or it could work just like plug and play?

It needs the relevant Zigbee coordinator firmware on it

If you bought it unflashed, you need to flash it

Do note that if you want to flash it with raspberry pi you have to do it with a different image. So you basically need to flash your raspberry twice in this scenario, one to flash your cc2531, then flash it back to HA. Unless you have another raspberry pi lying around

#

You can go to youtube for some tutorials on how to flash your cc2531 using just raspberry pi if you choose to go that way (It might involves bending your pins though)

indigo sigil
warm cape
#

Errrr maybe I didn't explain it clear enough. Basically what I meant was, if you want to flash your cc2531 with the raspberry pi, your raspberry pi needs to act like a computer, which in your case you will need to first flash your raspberry pi with sd card. And then you flash your cc2531 with it. After that, you mentioned you wanted to use HA on raspberry pi right? That involves another round of flashing using the sd card. I am not sure which tutorial you checked but I will share the one that i saw.

Sorry i might confused you around. I did understand what you were saying about the Raspberrpi Require to be flashed twice, In my case i didn't do much so i wouldn't mind to flash it twice to just make that zigbee dongle work. Well, without the zigbee dongle, i just have around 3 out of 14 devices i have currently working for me. I just need to consider which way i should go to get the dongle flashed and work. Hi all

#

Can anyone talk about their experience with AQARA Smart Plugs acting as Zigbee Routers?

#

Good coverage? I'm going to install 80+ AQARA Sensors in a facility and just plan to scatter AQARA Smart Plugs in every other room where we install our solution.

amber gull
#

Depends on the construction type and material of the facility

#

If you're doing it in a commercial setting, first of all I'd never use οΏΌuse aqara due to their idiosyncrasies, but I would do a survey/test install

fleet lodge
#

I think that's ignorant of you to say. The "idiosyncrasies" are greatly exaggerated in Zigbee communities and when all of my Zigbee devices are AQARA, the fact that they use Zigbee 1.2 is not an issue for me. I'd love to use Develco, but I'd literally be paying 3X - 4X the price per sensor.

#

If anyone has experience with AQARA Smart Plugs acting as Zigbee Routers, I'd love to hear from you.

austere patio
molten linden
#

Aqara device don't follow the zigbee spec so I think that is why idiosyncrasies was used.

austere patio
#

Not to say that they just don't work. All of my motion sensors and temperature sensors are Aqara. They work great. But they on occasion drop off the network if their parent goes down, which will be annoying if you have 80+ sensors.

fleet lodge
#

I'm well aware of AQARA's shortcomings and the fact that they did not implement the Zigbee Standard to spec. But again, features like "network key rotation" and "channel switching" are not worth 3 - 4X when I am trying to bootstrap a business.

austere patio

I've personally had no issues with Ikea smart plugs and bulbs acting as routers for Xiaomi stuff. Are you using the Aqara smart plug just due to its price? Or its functionality as a smart plug as well?

AQARA Smart Plug because it uses the same bastard protocol that all my other AQARA devices use.

austere patio

Though IKEA (really any SiLabs-based router) has the same stack lockup bug

austere patio

Needs hard reboot after a few months if you have a really traffic-heavy network

#

Not 100% sure what is the exact trigger but it happened to me only a few times in the past few years

Aqara is still probably using the NXP stack with a JN5169 so it doesn't have that problem

austere patio

Even if it did, the majority of the time the "temperature" sensor is built into the Zigbee chip and not actually an accurate external sensor

#

So the readings are garbage

final pivot

Ahh i looked on the database of devices that doesnt tell you what it exposes, will remember that z2m does

#

yeah for sure, still nice though... but back to my question why would one be more inclined for Aqara PIR over Sonoff PIR?

austere patio
#

I need my 5s reporting interval

#

And don't want to pay 3x the price for a Hue sensor

final pivot
#

Reporting interval means timeout bewteen motion right?

austere patio
#

Yes

#

The modded aqara sensors send a "motion triggered" event every 5s

#

Normally they send one every ~65s

final pivot
#

When you say it sends an event every 5 seconds, that just means it ignores events for 5s?

#

I bought 3 Hue last year, was mouthful spending Β£90, but that money is long gone and happy with them, anymore of them I need are not essentials to have better timeout

austere patio
#

The end result being that if the sensor usually reports every 5s and you stop receiving reports, you will know that a room is clear within 5s

#

Instead of a minute

#

Not amazingly useful unless you want to make an automation that makes the lights follow you around

final pivot
#

So is there 2 terminologies of timings here right?

#

''Timeout'' and ''interval checks''

#

or have I got it wrong?

austere patio
#

Aqara only sends "I see motion" messages every 5s (normally 60s). It just stops sending them if there is no motion

#

Normal sensors send a "there is motion" message and then send a "there is no more motion" message later

final pivot
#

Given the Sonoff is Z3 and does not allow you to change interval, is there any evidence that aqara T1 can?

#

natively*

austere patio

Hmm. Maybe cut the power to the room, re-join the sensor to your network, and try it again? That may (temporarily) force it off of the GE switch

If you're dealing with Aqara devices, you can go to the specific router in ZHA and click the "permit joins through this device" or whatever the button says

And re-join the sensor to your network

Hi. Just got my Phillips Hue Motion sensor and motion is always clear, the occupancy is correctly reported. Any ideas?

pine goblet
#

@austere patio for example of how odd my network is, the 2nd floor motion sensor in question is connecting directly to my coordinator in the basement even though there’s 3 GE switches between them

austere patio
#

Aqara appears to pick the very first router it sees, which may not always be the best

pine goblet
#

Understood. My entire network looks like that. I’m wondering if now would be a good time to switch to MQTT instead of reconfiguring everything only to have to do it again later

austere patio
#

If that's your coordinator, you can't

pine goblet
#

I’m going to order a zzh

austere patio
#

Z2M doesn't support EZSP

#

ZZH also works with ZHA and you can migrate your network from the HUSBZB-1

pine goblet

Whenever they go back in stock I was planning on ordering a zzh! And switching over

Really? I thought I was going to have to readd everything manually

Well, unofficially. But three people have used my script so far without any real issues.

pine goblet

That would be a huge time saver

Eventually we'll get a unified backup format

So you should be able to somewhat migrate between any stick and any integration

pine goblet

Is your script posted somewhere?

austere patio

Not at the moment but I can send it to you later when you get your ZZH

By that time we might have the backup format working

hey, dumb question about Z2M. did it recently change how entities are exposed to home assistant? In the past I would use Z2M to change the name to something like bedroom_light1, but the entity was exposed as "light.bedroom_light1_light" now, it seems when creating names of lights, it's no longer appending the "light" in home assistant when renaming new z2m devices. trying to go through the version changelogs, and don't seem to see anything obvious that alludes to this change.

#

Just an FYI. The CC2652 ZigBee coordinator USB sticks made by slaesh's that I ordered off of his Tindie store two months ago never arrived, and slaesh stopped being responsive when I asked if he could open up a support ticket with DHL to find it. I didn't ask for a refund, and ended up paying for a 2nd order through his personal web store on his site (this order did show up last night). Tindie's support staff just issued me a refund for my initial order with an apologetic message saying that the seller had closed shop and had plenty of other outstanding orders where those customers also reported that they never received delivery. If you're in the same boat as me you can try contacting Tindie, though I have no idea if they're paying for the refunds out of pocket or not. Also be careful ordering through slaesh's website directly as there's no seller market to give you a hand if any issues come up with the order.

Migrated my network from a LAUNCHXL-CC1352P-2 to a CC2531 and of the 3k request sent so far, only 1% initially failed, with zero actually failing after internal retrying

Pretty decent performance with ~25 routers and ~25 sensors IMO for $4

near echo
#

Same here. I use CC2531 (with external antenna) with around 50 odd devices in a 2500 sq.ft 2 floor house. Don't have any problem. I do have one without antenna and that perform horribly. So I guess depends on who is manufacturing them

mighty lava
#

Nice. How do you get these stats puddly ?

austere patio
mighty lava
#

Got it. What message do you get when it's failing ?

austere patio
#

If you're using a TI stick with ZHA, cat home-assistant.log | grep -F 'Received command: AF.DataConfirm' will tell you what the stick responds with to each request

#

(only if you have debug logging enabled)

#

Things that initially fail with certain status codes are internally retried so you may see something fail with TSN=123 but then succeed a few requests later with TSN=123. This is only visible to ZHA as a request that takes a little longer so it still "succeeds"

#

If you're not running the dev version of zigpy-znp, you'll be seeing a ton of log output so I'd upgrade to it if you want to leave debug logging enabled for a while

#

Otherwise your log file will get pretty big

mighty lava
#

Thanks a lot puddly for your troubleshooting knowledge. I will give it a shot.

austere patio
#

Anything critical will be logged as a warning so you'll likely see failures in a non-debug log

mighty lava
#

Got it

#

Also is there a way to do packet capture at coordinator level ?

austere patio
#

Not with a TI stick using the normal firmware

#

If you have SiLabs stick like the HUSBZB-1, it can do this

#

But for a TI stick you'll need to flash it with alternate firmware

#

Or buy a Nordic nRF52840 dongle for $12

#

It can be directly utilized by Wireshark as a capture source (after more firmware nonsense)

mighty lava
#

Funny, I just did migrate a couple of months ago from HUSBZB-1.

#

So tempting for the Nordic. It needs a specfic firmware then ?

austere patio
#

There's a GUI tool and everything to flash it but last I tried it throws an error message after it works, which causes you to retry flashing it and Google stuff for an hour πŸ˜†

#

It's the Nordic version of TI's UNIFLASH

#

Maybe they fixed that glitch

mighty lava
#

Sold. Never say wireshark to a network engineer πŸ˜…

austere patio
#

CC2531 is cheaper though if you don't want to pay for shipping from your country's major electronics distributor

#

So I'd stick with the HUSBZB-1 unless you want fancy new dongles to play with

amber gull

amber gull

So why ZHA instead of Deconz then?

dry fossil
#

Because ZHA works 🀣

#

Your options are basically ZHA if you want the easy route with everything bundled with HA or Z2M if you want it decoupled so you can update one without messing with the other.

fresh citrus
#

So does Deconz, atleast for me πŸ™‚. First issue now with the blinds.

dry fossil
#

If you follow this chat, you'll see a pattern:
ZHA users come here for help adding new devices
Z2M users come here for help adding new devices
deCONZ users come here crying that they can't get USB passthrough working

fresh citrus
#

I run HA in a docker in Unraid. Can i use ZHA directly in it? Or does it require the standalone whatever name HA it is?

#

Never har an issue with the passthrough either. But i get your point.

dry fossil
#

@frail oracle knows this is true. He handles all these issues on the deCONZ server πŸ˜„

#

(no puke faces please)

Read on some issues with groups in ZHA (clusters?). Maybe that works better now?

Honestly, is there a reason not to move from Deconz to ZHA?

jolly narwhal
#

Or z2m smart catKISS

fresh citrus
#

Not an option for me πŸ™‚

#

Maybe i will order another Conbee stick so i can make the transfer easy.

dry fossil
#

I'm curious why it's not an option. If you can run deCONZ, why not Z2M?

fresh citrus
#

Reason for leaving Deconz for ZHA is to get rid of another step and potential issue.

jolly narwhal
#

Decoupling

#

If your ha host dies so does zha, easily spin up ha on another host and your zigbee2mqtt still lives

fresh citrus
#

Or Deconz in this case. I have run HA for years and it worked perfectly so thats not an issue.

dry fossil
#

So why move?

fresh citrus
#

Only concern is the devices. They have to work with ZHA.

#

As i said. Get rid of another step and potential problem πŸ™‚. Everything in HA.

dry fossil
#

Cool. One point of failure to bring down everything. Your choice.

fresh citrus
#

Instead of two. Yeah i know. I consolidated my VMware cluster for one single host instead. Time, effort, cost etc. In this case i prefer to have all eggs in that basket.

#

IF ZHA works that is.

dry fossil
#

Not instead of two 🀦

#

You have a setup where only part of a system falls instead of it being catastrophic. I'll never get why people think consolidating is an improvement.

fresh citrus
#

Depends on your situation.

Hi all. Any recommendation on how long I should wait for my Tradfri bulb to show up in the debug logs (trying to pair) before I reset it again?

fervent tiger
#

Hmmm, just received my USB Zigbee stick from slae.sh. I run VM on OSX. enabled VM to use the USB stick. When I use HA command line and list hardware it's listed as dev/serial/by-id/usb_Silicon_lab_blablabla. Is this correct, or should it be dev/usb/xxxxx? How to proceed?

fresh citrus

Physical space, resources etc.

jolly narwhal

@fervent tiger yes, and following the docs for your zigbee integration

Deconz with Hue Essentials is really nice

Decoupling is a good reason to use Z2M but when I have less then 20 devices, resetting it up really doesn't take much time, understandable for bigger deployments

jolly narwhal
#

Eh, last time I repaired I used 20-25 minutes for 80+ devices

#

When I moved from the cc2531 to the cc1352p2

final pivot

See not bad and in a way fun

#

I personally am always swapping and can't make things reliable (tinkering to much) so bulbs stay on phillips hue

fresh citrus
#

How do you manage to do 80 devices in 25 minutes?

jolly narwhal
#

Each device takes 10 seconds ?
