If you're running HA behind a reverse proxy, you can actually mitigate these particular security vulnerabilities at the reverse proxy (though without a full disclosure of which directories to restrict access to, you'd have to suss out the vulnerability yourself to implement the required rules)

Kinda surprised no mitigation steps were released (beyond "don't use any custom add-ons") for older versions, tbh. Would have been nice to see a "hey, block access to these paths / directories if you can" - I'm currently digging through commits to figure out what was changed. lol

Yeah, upgrading is the optimal solution, but it's not uncommon to release mitigations for older versions (prior to fixes being available and/or for those who are current stuck on a specific version for other reasons)
