yeah, but check if they have the p1s refurb
$340, no ams
Before getting my p1s I would use my ender every few months and even then I feel like it was worth having around. Every so often, I'd need a smart sensor mount, wire clip or other small mount and it was nice to just spend a few minutes sending it to the printer vs finding something that may work on amazon and then having to order 20 of them or worse over paying on etsy
anything from bambu is pretty decent
would get the ams and an enclosed one tho, makes a lot of things much more painless
That’s much cheaper than the $25000 quote I got for a 3d printed part from jlc
-# the stl specifies cm instead of mm lol
Bed slingers like A1 aren’t really suggested anymore by people. P2s brand new with ams2 pro combo makes the most sense but p1s at the right price could be a cheaper decent option as well
p1s is enclosed. They also have ams 1 and p1s for $550
The camera isn't the best but I also get why they did it. Its functionally fine, its just not 30fps so people can watch it live.
Same thing people do with security cameras. Ratched the FPS up and gain nothing functionally except lose space
I was looking at the P1s for 340 because I already have one with an AMS but still print mostly black petg. Run the big spools that don't fit
i mean the compute and hardware needed costs like two bucks more. its kinda silly that it doesnt have that
especially considering the x1c kinda also doesnt get anything better than absolute basic
P1S is just a x1c as far as I can tell for the most part just once they brought the cost way down
and came out with the H series
did they improve the lights inside in the new gens?
that was kinda the second silly choice they did
'
the only thing that does piss me off not that I have ever gotten it to work is my ender does have AI print failure detection that the p1s doesn't
How does it know?
I also most never really have a failure on either one outside of warping or first layer issues though
Seems like for the most part, it could detect clogs and mechanical failures with the printer itself, but how does it know if what it's printing is garbage?
AI looks for spaghetti.
pretty much, and really bad layer shifts but that usually leads to spaghetti
Really not horrible, I just have both send me snaps from the cameras to my watch every few minutes to catch it manually but like I said I rarely have print issues past the first few layers. The last one on the bambu was because I forgot to enable supports. The print still worked entirely for my needs though
The only reason I haven't pulled the trigger on this p1s is that p2s adds some nice features and AMS2, though I'd probably connect my AMS to it also for 8 colors and then run big spools on this p1s
or h2s
Good afternoon(or whatever it is where you are)
Only just got out of bed here
I have to give props to HA, I had to rename a device because orginally when I named it, it had a space, rather then go through and rename all the entities I just nuked the device and readded it, same name but just added an underscore, figured I'd have to readjust my dashboards and automations, but HA automatically associated with the new device, thank you who ever did that 🙂
Grumble I get to replace my spendy router be Synology is dumb
You can have HA re-create the entity IDs when you rename a device FYI
I'd like the one that is white but also not white
So half white and half not white. Gotcha
P1S is basically X1C running on crappier hardware. Hence why the X1C can do 60 fps camera. Is it necessary? Nah. But it's useful. Especially for those of us who run the X1plus firmware.

I discovered this week that I can drive my Roborock vacuum like a really shitty RC car, so I can stalk my cats remotely now
I sometimes use that to drive it out of "robot trapped" scenarios. It's pretty slow and non-threatening, though
We have a big decorative rug in front of the TV, I've been thinking to myself about how I could make a mechanism to roll / otherwise drag the rug out of the way (under the couch, probably) so it is less of an obstacle for the vacuum
Thinking you could have a thin string going diagonally across underneath, connected to one corner of the rug and going through an eyelet on the other, so a single motor could pull and both fold it in half(ish) and whisk it away in a single motion 😄
monofiliment line connected to pullies in the ceiling
just get one of those industrial fans. Easy off/on, blow it out of the way. Side benefit is that it'll also blow all the dirt away, so no need to vacuum.
I killed 2/3 of my zelky cluster.... :/
Awww but I wanted to run laptops for North Korea
Better luck next time
Probably just setting a select via the last camera that saw a cat.
Just get a different rug
But we like the rug
You will like a more robot friendly rug
Does this work with tapo and kasa?
Great... https://archive.today/kaFHi
isnt it great we have the dumbest fucking government on the planet? 😄

Giant meteor is a bit heavy handed for planned obsolescence

But giant meteor promises you won't have to work again and will never have another case of the Mondays
Did some research on this, it seems like companies just have to create a roadmap to move manufacturing to the US but nothing immediate
A temporary exemption lasts 18 months then they have to reapply again
And from the emphasis of "consumer", maybe enterprise/prosumer stuff like Ubiquiti isn't affected? 🤭
There's a Ubiquiti discord?
Nevermind.. it’s blocked here lol
yes
Take with a grain of salt..
If Ubiquiti wants to be classified as Enterprise by regulatory standards they basically can’t sell directly to consumers from what I understand
Hoping Ubiquiti doesn’t go dealer only
Same here
eBay would ideally still be an option
heavily overpriced 😛
True
r/homelabsales would probably be better
Noted
I don’t imagine it would be terribly hard to move some manufacturing to the US, they could probably just move their accessories and it would still count lol
make the big buck stuff overseas still
You lot seem to be buying enterprise quantities of APs. You’re your own dealer
No one is going to do that
gator going to the dayspa

I know everyone is on the edge of their seats waiting for confirmation. I'm happy to report that I was correct. The one I wanted is cool white
anyone else not getting core updates? 2026.3.3/4 never came through. still on 2026.3.2. running update check shows no updates 🤔
That be a question for #1284966540617449515
Hi configuration, anyone else not getting core updates? 2026.3.3/4 never came through. still on 2026.3.2. running update check shows no updates?
👀
Maybe because you have noDNS
Annoying little whine moment... I'm a little disappointed in the marketing for the ZBT-2, with it being placed on side tables in marketing photos, etc it implies that it doesn't have to be anywhere near your HASS server... because who is gonna just have their entire home automation server sat out on a side table like that?
So I buy one, only to find that I'm probably worse off than my current Sonoff bridge because my server is where a server belongs: in a cupboard under the stairs 🫠
It could have been a kitchen roll holder instead, who knows, they are indestinguisuble from each other
the ZBT-2 is a little short for that
Tbf I could take a side table pic with it on top if I don't show the underneath lol
more fit for the bathroom
Lord knows we love mix-and-matching things for the kitchen and bathroom
Wait, is that meant to mean that you should like the kitchen bowls?
I have been doing this wrong
Badge502 may have a few opinions on where not to put the ZBT-2 tbf
Depends where you live. In less civilised countries where they wash their eggs and you have to refrigerate them, probably shouldn't.
Flared or not
Jail cell hooch
I got that reference. So proud.
Oh god reading the inovelli forum threads from people with hard disconnect problems with their white series canopy modules is stressing me out
I did have it happen once with a dimmer switch
Kinda glad this guy said something, I was still on 2026.3.1
Had no idea there were updates I'd been missing
Time for my voice assistant setup to no longer be shit
My voice assistant setup is doomed to forever be theoretical.
i mean you can take any competent enough speaker + mic and make one
Yeah, but I want to get a system that can run a local ollama model competently, and the odds of that happening in the current market are approximately HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
lmfao
i used my old gaming laptop that i took the battery out of
4gb of vram to run the model and other shit isnt much but it does work
ooh the jabra speak has fucking leds alla round it can i control them in software
I've been using my gaming laptop with Hermes. It's kinda awful, but 6GiB vram and it responds quick.
i hooked it up to ollama and qwen
(This isn't a support question, so I am guessing this general channel is the best place for it, but let me know if there is a better spot to ask)
Hey y'all, wondering if somebody can recommend their favorite off-the-shelf piece of hardware as a dedicated HA machine that is low-power and can run 24/7 with high stability.
I love the idea of the Green, but with only 4 GB RAM and no way to upgrade, I don't think I want to go that direction. Currently I am using an old Intel NUC which has worked well for about a year, but started occasionally having crashes were I have to physically unplug it and then power back up again.
I didn't have good results with qwen
i didnt either
i just dont have a ton of options
actually most of the time it contacts ollama cloud
which is free and has decent models
the local model is just a fallback rn
also made an ollama fork to manually set the max vram to trigger the ollama routine to offload to system ram, which massively slows it but nonetheless is functional
#1284966353798697001 with recommendations tag, IIRC.
tbh if you have an old laptop or computer, install HAOS on that
I haven't messed with it much, I try to keep Hermes persistent in vram, but that does keep me from doing other things with the system like transcoding via jellyfin.
Still, Hermes is -fast-. Just a bit stupid.
im ok with it being medium speed if it works
but also since i last actually used local models, i switched to a much larger whisper model (which has given great results actually)
switched from whisper small en to 3.5/large-distill
huge difference
Hermes mostly works, it's usually when I ask it to do unit conversions on barometric pressure adjusted for altitude or things like that where it starts just making up garbage.
And then I ask it if it's sure, and it says yes, and tells me something different.
i only ever use my HA assistant for like smarthome stuff and the ai is just so it can comprehend better commanbds, if i have real questions ill ask a real web ai
This is too cool to share, two differnet weather plugins, in sync it seems like but they are not. 🙂
I'm basically a privacy nut who has accepted that some things are just going to have to happen, like Discord.
lmao fair
I don't like integrations that phone home. The only one I believe I have is the litter robot, and I filled out their "don't sell my data" request before I ever bought their hardware.
Oh wait, Telegram bot technically does use Telegram servers. :P
The WiFi in my LR3 died, and I honestly just wasn't that motivated to replace it
It's useful in the LR4, but if it died I'd probably just leave it dead too.
Most of what it gives me is the ability to track the cat's weight.
Yeah, aside from the occasional "holy hell that's a stinky shit, flush it down right now" moment (and I have it set to cycle after 3 minutes anyway), the "bin full" value is a dumb estimate (4% per cycle) on the LR3, and without the LR4's scale or other features... meh
This is useful data.
Bit of fuzz, but still gives us an idea of the cat's weight trend overall over the last few months.
Also, yes, that's a cat we're monitoring because he's going 5-8 times a day. Way too frequent.
Interestingly despite both appearing to drink a lot more water since we bought them a water fountain, seemingly no change at the other end of the pipeline
Hallo.
I hate those too
I spent days trying to get my blueair stuff to work locally but AWS iot security is rock solid man
I'd probably build my own if I had to.
Honestly, I should start looking into fans and air purifiers and such.
How much of a privacy nut
Do you use proton mail
I use my own domain hosted through Hetzner and I don't trust proton because it involves uploading your private key. I keep my private key locally on my computer and my phone.
Proton isn’t encrypted? TIL
Uploading your private key is the same as Gmail where they just locally encrypt it in storage
It is, but IIRC they store your private key clientside or something. I looked into it a while back and wasn't satisfied with what I saw.
That’s just the same as Gmail
Ideally your login credentials would unlock it and nothing gets stored
I mean, you still have a GPG key. Gotta interact with it somehow.
Though I'm aware GPG is flawed, unfortunately.
Y'know what today needs?

You’ll have to be more specific
I meant literal popcorn. I ate some.
@atomic delta what kind? I'm a fan of Orville Redenbacher's Simply Salted™

Though every once in a blue moon I go for pure excess and get the pour-over butter.
theres 12 RGB leds in a circle on these
sadly, as far as i can tell, you cant just directly write to them
but you can call a few preset modes with HID commands which is fine
but idk how to hook that into linux-voice-assistant without either HA as a middleman (id like it to just run local) or modifying lva code which guh
plain skinny pop is my favorite lately
isn't that.. utterly fucking ancient and thus basically worthless? 🤔
dunno, hence the question.. 😉
how much VRAM is on the card?
if it fits it will do
may just be unusable slow
the reason those go for quite cheap on ebay while ai grabs whatever they can is probably telling
yeah, lot's of negatives.. becoming clear. ty
i can recommend those A2000 cards
kinda slow but a very managable 75W tdp with 12/16gb vram
I am debating updating my 4070, MSI just chopped £100 off the price
A lot of money for 20% more performance
True, but I would also then have the 4070 for other duties
But it's been an expensive few months so I should hold off
Don't let big AI know, they will want to invade your PCB

@arctic quarry I heard you make music. Can I ask a small favor of you if you're willing? 👀
absolutely!
@gray kiln Same question - Darren told me to check with you on this as well. I heard you are a maker of the musics, could I ask a small favor of you? 👀
I literally rejoined this server just to voice how bad the AppleTV integration is
The fact that it seems to just randomly decide whether "turned off" is of state Idle or Turned Off is horrible

I hate networking, all I want to do is have VLAN's but there is so much conflicting information, I know my router can make the VLAN's, but there is conflicting information if unmanaged switches can pass through VLAN's and trunks and bah this is why I didn't do networking lol
Would just stay with my current setup but its only gig connection and I'm going with 2 gig :/
Wonder if I make a drawing and submit it to AI they will tell me lol
Maybe this belongs in #documentation?
"Design Portal" on HA site points to https://design.home-assistant.io/ , and on there the link to the "Figma DesignKit" gives me a 404. From my Figma account history it points to a different URL.
It also links to the #designers channel on Discord which I think no longer exists.
I'm sure there are exceptions, but for truly dumb unmanaged switches generally yes. Whatever you pipe in one side comes out the other entirely unmolested
#designers still exists. I also think they are aware of this?
AI told me I need managed switchs, the router only handles the interconnectivity lol
I do love my L3 routing at home
Switch is the L3 router for all the VLANs, just has one P2P transit network to the router for each VRF
Upsides: network more or less keeps working even without the router / internet connection
Downsides: most people won't understand a damn thing about what's going on
Normally unmanaged switches strip the tags, always best to go with managed switches
L3 switches are normally insanely expensive and have super loud fans! From my earlier research
They're cheap when you badger your Arista account manager into a fell-off-the-back-of-a-truck deal 😉
I think I found a happy medium, connect my AP's to the managed switch in the server room and all wired devices just be on vlan1/unmanaged
Earlier as in a few years ago, I could be way wrong now though
I have multple drops in the living room from previously doing HDMI over Ethernet(doesn't work for crap)
This wouldn't work for me, unless I could raccoon your rep
Also my comms rack is well out of earshot. Our house comes from the era of "negligible indoor cupboard space", so I bought an IP45 rated outdoor rack and screwed it to a floor beam in the crawl space under the floor
You could just add managed switches as you go?
Saves the upfront cost
I splurged for a 48 port arubu switch (1930-48) in like 2018 or 2019 and I run all my drops to it, very inefficient in terms of cable, but very easy setup from 1 device
I run poe injectors to stuff that needs it
Those switches are like double the price now, totally unaffordable
only have 3 switches in the house right now, an unmanaged 16 port 1gig switch, 4 port switches unmanaged 1g switches(that may stay put, as they are for my media cabinets) and a synology router that handles all the vlans for wireless,
I have 4x10gb sfp and no fan noise, about 15W power consumption and negligible heat, those were my motivators at the time
Ubiquitis only had 2x 10gb ports
And most others had noisy fans
None of the devices in TV/projector rooms has 2.5 gig connections anyhow
Could maybe swap them as needed? Up to you?
If you only want to segregate iot you could definately just isolate that on its own vlan and do it that way, though
Non of my IOT is hardwired
I don't plug in my TV's, main thing thats hardwired are gaming systems and nvidia shields
I could just keep my 16 port switch and connect it to the managed switch and run trunk lines to the AP's and an even smaller switch
Question is.. are game consoles and shield also iot? 😄
meh
Haha
Shield no, game console yes
Shhhh trying to spend less money 😛
Depends how anal you want to get about stuff, but it is an interesting discussion I feel
Only other people's money 😛
sadly no, I bought a 3d scanner today
I have been debating if I put my ventilation system and solar panels onto the same vlan as cameras/ blue iris + alarm system, to which Indecided not to
ohhh you just made my choice for me, I forgot about my IP cams
Damn that sounds like a cool toy
I have cameras and IOT on different networks
err POE Cams
They will end up on their own "critial home infastructure" vlan
POE cam's are going on their own VLAN with no outside access
I am hoping I can make some good use of it. I have somethings I have been unable to find good models for the IOT topic. I haven't been able to find a wall mount for a 2015 shield
Talking Victron solar, not some obscure chinese stuff from aliexpress (not knocking that if it floats your goat)
Just means 1 4 port managed switch, so not to bad
I love my victron stuff in my camper
Honestly on Amazon here in the states, the smaller victron stuff is not that much more then chinese crap
I am diying a 3 phase setup with 15kWh of batteries, so I am starting with a simple install /s
I think I paid 130 for a 100V/30A and 175 for a 150/75A controller
I can get Victron from the Netherlands a little cheaper than buying a Deye in Sweden
I know small stuff, but its nice that it talks to my 120volt charge controller too all via bluetooth
My camper has 600 AMP hour and 800 watts on the roof and 500 in deployable flexible panels, even have a 12volt minisplit lol
Now mind you my camper is only 6x12 with only 10 feet of that conditioned space
so 60 square feet with r5 in the walls and r10 in the ceiling, not great, but it works
Sounds sweet tbh
My plan is to get a camper and a remote job and just drive around and eat trash
But I am currently in the wrong line of work, so need to work on that too
Ah, your link says "No Access" for me, so I guess it's hidden by default. Thanks for your reply.
Gotta go green
Does designer underwear count?
Lol.
Yeah, the Designers channel was made into a private chat for those with the role - instead it probably belongs in #product-and-ux.
It's possible that the Figma kit is hosted on the Nabu Casa side of things, lemme see if I can figure it out.
@wraith lark Actually, turns out we updated the doc but not that link. I've requested both things to be updated.
Did someone call for a Mr. Body?
anyone here monitor their water usage? EPA is saying 400 gallons/day for the avg american family of 4... i'm like... 4x below that and we don't do anything specifically to conserve water but i'm seeing insane stats like avg home is 90 gallons/day in leaks and stuff. that's almost near my full water usage for the day
or my softener just doesn't measure water accurately by a factor of 4?
really depends if you're running the dishwasher or doing laundry
dishwasher almost daily
my showers are 30-40gal apiece, and my irrigation system uses a lot more water than I do in the house
yea i don't have anything that measures the spigot but that's only summer anyway
I've used 33gal in the last 24hr for one person, including the shower today and incidental water usage (no dishwasher or laundry included in that)
i'm seeing ~3050 gallons a month for the last 2 years for a family of 4
shower today was 23.4gal, but it was a quick one
epa is saying 9000-12000 gallons
I was about to say "dishwashers consume 5/8 of fuck all water", but then I remembered the average US-market appliance tends to be grossly less efficient on those kind of metrics.
Between 7 and 17 litres per cycle for mine (1.85-4.5 US gal). Worst case using it every day would be 135gal/month
i mean based on your usage robc, you sound closer to mine which is way out of epa estimates.. maybe this is like the average american eats 9000lb of cheese in a year
i eat 1 l and some other dude is eating 20000lb
if it includes irrigation, it will be a lot more
Can I get a bruh
Quick, Assign it to someone else.
lol
Apparently my family needs to use more water per EPA standards
But too much during the summer by the California limits they keep threatening
just have to put store it in the pool
modern dishwashers are actually fairly efficient on things..
You have to keep those golf courses green my dude or dudette
Heh I was in Phoenix area a few weeks ago. Brown with green splotches
Won't you think of the LAWNS!
(I don't care if mine dies, that's it's own fault for not handling the heat)
I feel attacked
It's me, I'm the other dude.
If you took 8h/day off to sleep, you need to eat ~1.55kg/hour.
At ~1.4g/cm³ (random figure I found on the internet) that's 1.1 litres of cheese per hour
Looks like mine took 7.4gal, but there might have been a toilet flush in there somewhere
and it was pretty full, and I think it adjusts based on how much contamination it sees
I always run mine on the "sensor wash" cycle, which results in the time remaining display just being completely useless 😄
It very much has a "it'll be finished when it's finished" vibe
This week I should finally make my guest mode toggle work that does stuff like disable all my stuff turning off when I leave the house
Ugh, good luck.
I did that, so, so, so many places I had to add the check for it being enabled.
You don't realise just how much stuff you do for your own convenience that'd be maddening/inconvenient/inexplicable to a visitor
I give every automation that actually automated a function in my home a tag for identification later. Now i can disable everything when I'm on vacation for example.
I made an input boolean that is a condition inside all of the automations.
I'm not sure that was the best option, but it works
Tag your stuff, definitely easier
When you go on holiday the automation disables HA itself so you can never have HA again?!
I love the mix of wolnzimmer and color 🤣

Grumble just spent 600 USD on networking stuff because Synology is stupid :/
Is grumble a first or last name?
or simply AN NAME
dass ist eine Annahme
Like Madonna?
ja
or Kermit
You night a single good wifi 7AP?
depends on the day
bought 2 decent wifi 7 AP's a n150 router box with ram and storage and a couple of managed 2.5g switches
Whats annoying me is I spent that much on my synology setup, live and learn I guess
Really was aiming for a n300 system, but then I realized I don't need the power I have server on 24/7 and anything that needs horsepower can just go on that
n150 with 8 gigs of ram and 128gb is probably overkill for a opensense box
Which APs?
Like music to my ears
Specifically like || Mudvayne - Dig ||
Zyxel WiFi 7 Access Point BE5100, not great, but for the price and for what I'm using them for I think they will be fine
Did not go with radios with 6ghz as my house has steel siding so we get very little interference from the outside and all PC's are hardwired(basically AP's are for cell phones and IOT)
Why are the Knipex cable shears like 220 euro?!

Ish
I had thought somewhere about half that price
Clearly I was very very wrong
160 in germany
I will probably have to make those up at work, I believe we have one of them, was going to pick my own up, but not for that price
May work well with a fine enough blade
The insulation is normally very floppy though, not sure how easy it is to keep still
if just copper or aluminum a hacksaw with fine tooth blade would cut through it, clamp it to a table or put it in a vice?
It is like rubber cable basically, just a bit thicker
Are you cutting the insulation or the wire?
I need to grab some lugs too, I need to drill the busbar
Both, needs a square end, then insulation, to make up a crimped connection
what gauge wire? Because honestly I find it cheaper for anythign above 2/0 to just buy premade cables
That partially because my crimper only does 1/0 but also they buy wire in bulk and get it cheaper
It is around 4/0 I think
It could very well be cheaper to just order them, although I do work at a proper electrical company, I only do low voltage stuff though, so I really should be doing them myself 😄
I am not even sure who works with stuff this large at work, need to ask around
Been stuck at a single project for over 2 years, I don't even know everyones name yet lol
The hydraulic crimper they have to use for the stuff in our datacentre at work is wild. Takes two people to lift it
500mm2 cable seems to be a special kind of joy to work with
Also watching one of the apprentice electricians doing involuntary chin ups on the torque wrench because they didn't weigh enough to tighten the bolts holding it to the busbars 😄
Just hand them the vacuum cleaner tube next time
This would be me haha
Luckily I only need like 120mm2 cable, for the battery rack to the inverters, it is quite managable
Think the rest will be 35mm2, the mppts seem to run 35mm2 terminals and all the sources should have same length of cable and same size to avoid mismatches
Just hire a wandering samurai tanuki to drawslash it for you.
Its name is definitely Peanut
He seemed really mad at me, like I was in his snacking spot laying on the deck
Nah that’s just Dave
Why did I not think of this omg
"Peanut" in another universe
Where can I post a link of my college commitment post?
#1284960456880029707 , if it doesn't violate any rules.
Am I the only one who gets driven crazy by the constant HA update notifications.
I swear they're daily.
Mostly hacs stuff?
No, like even HA Core.
I guess we're only on 2026.3.4, but that's still 4 updates in a month...Some hacs stuff for sure, though
I just hate seeing update badges lol. Guess I could find a way to disable them.
are you on beta channel?
Don't think so, let me double check though
Most months you get 4 core updates
202X.X.0 -> 202X.X.4 (so 5 updates if you include the monthly rollover)
Many people seem to only update to the last monthly and i think I've seen some scripts to automatically skip .0 to .3
On my end I get way more updates from Hacs stuff even though i try to keep that to a minimum
Yeah...I think I just need to make it not notify me
use hammer or axe
Taking glasses off and using ear protection also works
Got Linux voice assistant physically showing its volume on my Jabra speak
Next is to make the buttons on it change LVA's volume
It's very not linear but I think that's a pipewire quirk of doing it with db
no thats pulseaudio being weird and i am going to go fix that
Whats the best local llm to run for home assistant that actually uses tools and will turn off the lights everytime i ask vs telling me the code on how to do it
you dont need an llm for that tho
turning lights on and off is a standard feature. a list of them intents can be found here
Ok, than is there a good way to use my wake word and get both something that turns off the lights and is a local llm that i can ask questions about anything to
custom wake words are very much unrelated to homeassiant. how that works exactly for your satelite depends a bit on the hardware used
about the llm, any that you could even run will be what you can do.
#1284966915055288530 could help with the voice aspect of it
the other stuff could belong into #1284966540617449515
Ok
Oh its fucking beautiful
Less of a flashback for me, we still have a bunch of those at work. They're... not terrible
i couldnt find much nice about them to say
works pretty well as a voice sattelite
and theyre cheap
2nd hand anyways
alright submitted the pull to LVA :)
Headsets are still pretty good
the shitass jabra speak is this god awful internal telephony state machine so there is no external way to detect the mute button when not on a call
buuuut i can just read theinput and detect when its all zeroes
@tidal bronze you still kickin or did your food choices finally catch up to you?
Lovin life and living the best of it. Beautiful weather, Gemini + Codex + Claude, how can you ask for more.
odd that you jumped right into talking about AI..
That's all I interact with all day now.
so then how do you know it's beatiful weather?
What a boat load of fun
sounds like you haven't seen the sun in awhile
Pool side, laptop from 8AM. Oh I am outside
if AI is suppose to make doing all that faster.. why you spending so much time with it?
Started a health app for myself as a weekend project, and now haven't done anything or flown in 2 months. So deep into it.
Sadly gotta fly out this weekend
does the app just simply say, "don't eat good food"?
pops up notification when your phone is near some place actually good
Just give a claw full access and let it have at ‘er while you’re in the air
I’m sure it’ll be fine
friend said nvidia has taken over the claw or whatever it's called now and making a much more secure version of it
hired the person who made it or something
taken over the claw
Claw is for mundane crap
Antigravity with NotebookLM GEM thinking and Get-Shit-Done is the king
so your torrenting movies and having ai post it to discord?
Openclaw interface is discord
still think a butler would be cooler
Finally done with ML models so supplement stacks can be filtered
That's it?
Next idea is to disable all automations once ML models have enough data to run the entire place with LLM correlation engine.
Let's see how forecasting works for home behavior 😂
This. This is good.
can't wait to hear the chaos from the first glitch
your house may look like that scene from the poltergeist
openwakeword on an old raspberry pi 3b+
look at er go
(also linux cpu % is 100% = 1 core so this is only 15% of the entire system)
Is there really no premade way of only controlling lights that are currently on?
I found this but it doesn’t work if you have more then a few lights, due to the 255 character limit in the template sensor.

Hi... I built an open-source AI audio deterrent for Frigate that talks to intruders through camera speakers and publishes MQTT events for HA automations. Where's the best channel to share it and find testers?
ha is so nice once you get it working but gosh this is Hard
My mother would accidentally disable the speaker output on the amplifier and then complain why it doesn't work so I made this for her
How do folks deal with DST for time-based automations? Are there any best-practice methods?
I noticed DST triggered yesterday in my country so some automations that were supposed to fire at 1:30 never triggered because of the hour skip
#1284980040940912641 can help with that
Pretty happy with this
Even though I'll probably only ever use like 3 of the drops 😂
Looks pretty. Is the punch down panel adding something there?
I did that at my a house 20 years ago and I got comments about why I added more connection/failure points points rather than just just terminating and plugging the wires in directly
I thought it looked cool 🙂
Yeah well I have never been in a server room in my life where the wire was directly landed on the network switch. It's not do e that way because the structural wires are meant to be moved around and fiddled with over and over. That's what cheap patch cords are for.
Also as someone who has been in more than one trade in my life and I'm currently an electrician, if it's done right things don't fail for no reason
Wires don't just break sitting in the wall. Connectors don't just come apart, computers don't just decide to stop doing what they are supposed to. (The computer part was more true when I worked on cars but generally speaking)
Load, heat, water, movement ect make things fail. News flash your house doesn't vibrate that much
Also it looks cool
nice
de-coupling hard to replace cables from the ones that are touched
even if they are only touched once a decade or so
That was my theory as well, but they usually end up plugged in and left
did anybody notice that https://github.com/home-assistant/frontend/issues is being spammed with random issues?
Pfft needs to be uglier
I can't find anything anymore because it's all just spam issues now
Yes, being discussed in many places
Huh looks like several open source projects are getting it
oh shit really?
Looks like something GitHub/Microsoft needs to deal with as a botnet
Given 3 hours ago maybe they did…?
I mean stopping new ones
I guess ?
Paulus said he disabled issues. GitHub is aware
WSL and OpenCode was also hit, hm
Hopefully the CLI tool will provide a way to automate cleanup when it’s over
This is weird, there's no rhyme or reason for any of these attacks at all
One of them is on an empty repository
It looks like the format is uniform enough that it will be easy enough to regex the issue title/content to automate cleanup
Don’t see it listed as an official issue on the status page at least https://mrshu.github.io/github-statuses/
Historical GitHub uptime reconstructed from archived status data.
Welcome to GitHub's home for real-time and historical data on system performance.
you mean this one?
(I mean I guess there's aggregate uptime numbers that are missing but that's not the official page)
No, the other one just mirrors the official one and adds the numbers back
Oh god I didn’t knock on wood and it happened to me for the first time today
Rookie mistake
I just realized the esp home logo is an E and not just lines
It's clearly a key
It also mimics the common PCB antenna pattern on ESP32/8266 modules
It’s multitasking
I will say I never noticed the E and only noticed the antenna pattern lol
And now I can't unseE it
yeah i assumed it was some like
oh its wires or something
i didnt really know what it was but i just saw the E and i wqas like OH
makes sense its both

We need a bot that slowly collects all the cryptobots that get banned and gives us an end of month summary in the form of a chain defenestration video. A... Home Assistant of sorts.
I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction on this, as my searches have come up bupkis.
I have HA installed via Docker and Music Assistant installed via Docker as well (same stack) and while I can get MA up and running great, I cannot see it from the HA app. I was sort of under the impression that while I could not install apps/add-ons without HAOS, I could circumvent it and I guess I did, but is there any way to then automate my music set up from MA inside HA? The other curious thing is that under Media there's no sign of MA either, but if I go into a player in HA, I can see a folder view of more or less everything provided by MA.
I know it's not ideal, but my alternatives are a Pi3, which struggles and simply can't run MA plus HA. I had set up HA via VM on my desktop, but I don't want to run my desktop in perpetuity just to get apps either. I'm running this all off my NAS.
Just add the music assistant integration

How and where?
It is already added, but there's no sign of it "natively" as you would get via the app/add on installation on HAOS
I suggest asking on their server:

Made this dashboard for my 3D printer
#1284960456880029707 for stuff like that. Or #3d-printing
Up early enough to eat a donut on a Monday. Not sure if I should be happy or sad
I am ready for the weekend already
So I would say sad
Does Sweden get a 4-day weekend? Work is quiet as anyone with kids is taking off one or both of the weeks either side
What is a weekend?
finally, something worth buying on FB Marketplace
that’s nuts
Get lots of moaning from my boss why the work isn't done when he hasn't ordered the cable, anyway
Can't answer the question though
you can go through all the motions of pulling the imaginary cable
Imaginary cable never gets hung up in a wall. It's the best
Wireless cable.
You joke, but... https://mikrotik.com/product/wireless_wire
I need to install a wireless card into a "dac" that is connected into another "dac" that opens the door
So literally it could have been done properly ages ago, but no
mikrotik my beloved
holy marketing, batman
that is called wifi
looks like 60GHz, which is mmwave
Yeah it's just a wireless backhaul with a fancy name lol
my AP is connected to 10gig :/
I want 10Gig for moving video footage around, but it seems those desktop switches which are 4x2.5 + 2x10 they are a bit poo
Can confirm, had a 10 gbe 5-port desktop switch that just… died suddenly. Thankfully right before the warranty expired so it was RMAed
How bad do you have to be for Amazon to flag you as "Frequently Returned"?
How many times did you return?
Ah, not me, the switch I was eyeing.
I don't know what their criteria are. You can usually suss it out from the comments, and they may just be customers who didnt know what they were buying
It's not necessarily a bad thing for techy stuff
More important is why
I did check the 1-stars and it was all "keeps losing link", which for an unmanaged switch seems fairly terminal. I mean it could be the cables or NICs but that seems less likely
I love the comments that are “this product does exactly what is described, does it really well, but I meant to purchase something else entirely. Half star if I could”
1* review: item never arrived
Does skew the results a lot
usually a big issue with speciality tech things. I have noticed it with 3d printing stuff lately
To be fair... did they buy the switch because the old one wasn't working because of shit cables? You never know
This is a great example
Especially if it is a network switch
bro, they need to go to the hospital.
Those do have a habit of giving me diarrhea
"United states" so probably can't go the hospital, would be financially ruined for having the shits
/s
please be a raccoon
The voice assistant looks better with more than 2 eyes and a mouth
That was adorable anyway!
HOLY SHIT
Claude may be the most precious being I have ever seen
he took a nap after his sugar crash 🫠
He stayed with us like 2-3 hours, asking for pets and food
OMG
And at the end we had to make him go away xD He was trying to enter the house for more food.
So we brought him to the end of the field and left him there... thrice
Awwwwww
he kept coming back
Claude knows where the candies are
Built in candy homing devices in the grabbies
I have to go visit the zoo 6 hours south of me this year
Only place to see them in Sweden 🙁
No masked bandits in Sweden? ( I have no idea of their taxonomy and repartition haha)
They are classed as invasive, so killed on sight
There are many in Germany though, it seems like it may be a matter of time though
Be the change you want to see in the world Michelle! Spread those blue zones!
They are highly adaptable
hmmmmmm need to figure out a new SSID, I always change them with new hardware, so far have used Springfield, Quahog, New_New_York
NotAPineapple
South Park(although thats to obvious)
Hmmm could go classic Bedrock... 🙂
or Orbit City, the Jetsons
'DefinitelyNotAHoneyPot'
Make any person suspicious of it is my goal in this scenario hahaha
I have seen your github. I am very suspicious of you
Wow!~
No need tbh, i'm just a nice guy who is a tad too transparent
I'm thinking back I dunno if I ever used Springfield, I used Stoolbend.... lol
Also that's a Raccoon, I thought it was a cat on a fast scroll
I am scared about my dog actually seeing his first Raccoon
So accurate to name it claude then?
how dare you
Hahahaha!
Claude fixed so much of my errors, i can't say it can't code
It definitely can better than 90% of junior devs
claude is our lord and savior. we are going to vibe our way into the apocalypse together
I'm curious the new restrictions on Claude how much it will affect the free tier to work in automations in home assistant
what are you referencing?
All the tiers the token count got reduced a whole bunch, there's multiple articles and reddit posts
People are saying they are hitting 5 hour limits in 10 minutes etc
oh yeah it's fucked
I'm debating hosting a local LLM to see how it does with HA coding
the bots/idiots are all acting like everyone else are idiots and not seeing it for what it is
claude is doing some bait and switch bullshit with A/B testing
but claude could steal my cat and i'd still trust them more than sam altman
that guy is fucking evil
Got a 7900xtx sitting here idle on the gaming computer
Well their idiot CEO is out there making statements that his AI has feelings and is alive
I run Qwen 27B and 30BA3B
On a dedicated 3090
The agentic is not nearly as good as Claude/Codex
I wonder if Stanley Kubrick knew that would become a meme, since he was predicting the 2000s
hmmm well it combined 4 automations into 1 without complaining, although on free tier I'm not even sure I can see what I used
are you using the unofficial ha-mcp? dis https://github.com/homeassistant-ai/ha-mcp
the mcp is magic
you just vibe and it does it for you
i could do it but then i'd have to go click around in gui like a caveman
Hoooooooo boy, I'm EXCITED
I finally, FINALLY got my mental out of the dirt enough to get my bedroom and office clean and organized, and the rest of the house isn't too far behind.
Now I actually have room and time to set up some of the HA stuff I wanted
I hope a Home Assistant Blue isn't too outdated by this point

Claude or Claude?
now time to look around for cheap displays and cheap Zigbee or Z-Wave buttons

I shall liberate myself from ADHD through the glorious magic of "minimizing clicks"
(also "shitloads of reminders")
Problem is that you squrriel before getting to the reminders
What is a home assistant blue
Isn't sold any more
That’s why it’s sad
it's not obselete or too old to manage things though, is it?
I'M TRYING I SWEAR

I think it was fine at the time, but there are better solutions now
@last cedar, saw this on facebook
Trying to "use what I've got" where possible, admittedly
I have no problem replacing it if it's necessary, as long as it won't cost me an arm and a leg
how much do you value your arm or your leg?
I hat about used laptop or something else to run it on
only used laptop I have lying around is over a decade old lol
that's probably fine
I'll probably use Blue until I can justify shelling out for a green
and better than the blue, yellow, or green
A 6th gen or newer intel actually works great
@hollow glacier RE The Unofficial and Awesome Home Assistant MCP Server, haven't looked yet, but can that ollama local models too or just Claude?
Or amber
Don't look at me, I just cleaned my house up this last weekend after about a year
I’ve only used it with Claude I’m not sure
I was running HA on a 2011-vintage Lenovo Thinkcenter for a long time
g3 n100 here
I moved from a 7th gen intel mini pc to an n100 and saw zero improvements lol
uhhh.... I'm ashamed to admit what I'm running my container on
Now it's sitting on my desk next to me wanting to be loved
A lady gave me her old laptop with a broken screen and broken keyboard and I ran haos on that for like two years
I still have it in a drawer waiting to jank itself back to life
Are you in the USA?
I mean that's not shocking. N100s are effiency cores and focused on power use
a twinkie?
Yeah it was just a bit disappointing cuz I just could’ve spent the money on other shit
Actually no I got the n100 free cuz I helped a guy on discord
I'm using a n150 for opensense, not sure if its overkill or not
I paid $130 for each of mine, though 1 is a n150\
N100 is within a couple of percent of a 8550U (which is something you might get in a NUC from 2017), at around half the power:
https://www.cpubenchmark.net/compare/3064vs5157/Intel-i7-8550U-vs-Intel-N100
Tarriffs don't like it
Frigate kills my n100 cpu big time I gotta move back to a coral
Altho part of it is cuz of the audio on my UniFi cams iirc
The N150 isn't a useful upgrade for a lot of people either, identical CPU cores to the N100 with a slightly higher power GPU
And for some situations that's likely to make the CPU run slower, since the GPU appears to have a higher power budget but the total package power/cooling hasn't changed
yeah, It was the same listing as the other 2but they updated it to the plus and I ordered prior to the tarriffs because I figured I'd use sooon
The presumed-successor that's shown up in benchmarks of late could be interesting:
https://www.tomshardware.com/pc-components/cpus/intels-upcoming-wildcat-lake-low-power-series-breaks-cover-in-geekbench-listing-core-3-304-is-twice-as-fast-in-single-core-performance-versus-last-gen
1P / 4E CPU. First time we've had an odd number of cores in a very long time
(a lot of people seem to think 2P/4E but it seems like they really have just given it a single performance core)
Giving it any P cores is a little silly,
You can use OpenVino for the detector now
I am
instead of Coral and it works well. Not as fast, but supposedly better detection
It still pegs cpu at 70%
that doesn't sound like it's working
10 streams
I set it up with nick mowen my config is good
Maybe a little outdated but yeah. Part of it is needing to re encode audio from opus on my UniFi cams iirc
I guess mine is about the same:
I set up a dedicated N150 for it
with a few other things, but mainly Frigate
I actually turned frigate off and have been considering just using the UniFi integration since it’s gotten a lot better. I could do cooler shit with frigate tho
I just use Frigate as an appliance now, works pretty well
I used to label and submit images all the time, but I pretty much never have false positives or negatives now
I haven’t given frigate a fair shake to be honest
I’ve been too lazy and cheap to pay and use frigate+
But I still believe in the project and think it’s great
I just think it’s a worse user experience as far as playback and downloading clips compared to the UniFi apps
But as far as automation on a person entering my yard zone after midnight to trigger a siren or whatever I think frigate is much better
Frigate+ with custom models made all the difference for me
Yeah mine still triggered my car constantly and cat is a dog etc
I thought you needed Frigate+ to use the OpenVino detector models
Customized ones yes
I thought frigate+ was just custom model training
There are openvino that arent' trained
I've been replacing presense sensors throughout the house with cheap cameras with thingio flashed to them, more reliable, especially with pets
i'm not familiar with thingio
similar to openmiko etc? yeah looks like it
those are cute
unfortunately for my wallet, yes
so thingio does the processing directly or you just feed rtsp(s) streams to frigate?
feed the rtsp to frigate
i can send you an apollo msr-2 or mtr-1 for free if you cover shipping if that will make your life a little better
oh shit, are those presence detectors or whatnot?
yeah
I've never actually gotten to mess with those, if you're serious, I'd happily accept
i'm their "support guy that does lots of other stuff"
i sent a pm (i lie to myself and call dms a private message cuz it makes my heart feel better)
I've never owned any Apollo before, so yeah, that'd be really cool of you
my first apollo sensor was gifted to me.. then i was in their discord helping people.. then i got a job helping people in discord lol
Well that makes more things possible
Biggest thing in front of me is just hoping I can these lights down and resoldered

I went way overboard for an early project, and the difficulty of doing voltage injection was too much
Gonna repurpose them for smaller runs in indirect lighting stuff
Matter doesn’t…
hmmmmmm local Ministral-3:14B oin a 7900xtx is snappy...
Honestly my biggest complaint about matter is how it’s been shoved down everyone’s throat and praised by influencers and developers alike instead of allowing it to rise to the top if it’s so good
Card sounds like a jet airplane right now lol
Well that and it relying on ipv6 and mdns

I may have broken home assistant lol, pasted to long of a yaml file into a dashboard :/
kubectl rollout restart to the rescue
Good guy Apollo helping out 👍
ATTENTION EVERYONE WE HAVE BABY DUCKLINGS 🐣
Technically I’m not donating to him on behalf of Apollo I’m just offering as a person
I have baby duck food that floats at home I’m gonna come right back and try to feed them. Might be their first ever meal
They were not here yesterday
I like the Canada Goose photobombing the last shot
Asking for a friend:
What is the volume of 12 tonnes of kitkats?
what's the net increase of your volume after eating that many Kit Kats
They stole about 400.000 Bars, roughly 22m³
About 22m3 apparently
I don't approve of stealing
But boy would I like 22m3 of kitkats
A shipping container has 33m³
With packaging, boxes etc. It's probably a whole container worth
Apparently the legendary Donald Knuth is an AI convert 🙂

Old news
sort of. It's a revision of his comments in 2023, but this is current
28 February 2026; revised 16 March 2026)
It enabled me to get rid of Alexa, along with the backend changes. Big fan
I've never had a voice assistant in my life
This is my first time. Using free groqCloud API witch gpt-oss
If I didn't have a bunch of Google Home devices I would for sure
Did you steal the KitKats
Sunk. Cost. Fallacy.
I have all the parts to build a HA one as well, but just haven't gotten to it for like 1½ years lol
Bought silver plastic, red leds, glass lenses and everything to finally have my own HAL 9000
just never built it
I'm sorry, K. I'm afraid I can't do that.
Absolutely not, I would never
So hypothetically, if a regular routine was to come home and devour a packet of pringles and 2 twix bars
Would you die before you ate all 22m2 of kitkats?
Or how long would it take to eat them, if say you ate maybe 5 or 6 bars per meal? To make it part of a balanced diet
Again, asking for a friend
How to get diabetes with a single meal
Just start an Ozempyc regimen 2 months prior.
When I was on it, my doctor told me I was basically immune to becoming diabetic ( I took it for weight loss, not Diabetes).
And then, you can eat the 22M2 of kit kat! 😋
||HA made you look! happy April fool’s ||
It's still march
Alright, FutureBoy
I have a minisforum intel ai pc also an egpu (RTX5050). Frigate works like a dream
I got rid of google home everything. Got view assist, and multiple riva speakers and use them with music assistant
I did the same switch, went from 16 Minis to 7 Wiim pros and 9 Assist devices, could not be happier
that sounds like it costs $2000
It cost me $850 roughly.
I put 800$CAD at some point. It was midnight and in a bad part of town.
I figured I buy now before these components are simply not available and too expensive
But hey, the LLM MUST be ran
lol
Basically hopped on Marketplace at 10pm with a mission
is the ha update coming out tomorrowtoday or is that an april fool and we’re gonna get passed over
The better question is whether you would trust a release on April 1
treat it like any other
and if it's not working correctly, file bug reports like any other
We had a software developer that thought it was funny to make the text RTL on April 1st. If he wasn't the bosses son he would've been fired.
Should have reconfigered his ide...
He managed our FileMaker App, no need to punish him further.
Knew this was an aprils fools when I saw "compatable with HA" and tuya together
Nice try though
but it's the smartest crap I ever took :(
We’re down to 8 baby ducklings 🐣 now
Jokes on you I put my Japanese toilet in range of an IR blaster so I can control it with home assistant
And?
Well. you're keeping an inferior solution due to the cost invested in the past.
And will continue investing in a bad solution, due to the cost already invested having a value for you.
Therefore losing more money on an inferior product
That's the falacy 😛
I know what it is but calling Google home inferior to voice PE in its current state even linked to a llm is horse shit. I own both and really like my voice PE but they are not even close to equals on a usablity scale.
I went from 16 Minis to 9 Voice Assist assistants, and honestly.
As bad, if not better for me.
With minis, i could not start media from my Plex server to my Chromecats
With Assist... I can
And all the other functions are basicaly present as well.
Math? Sky-intent integration
Internet search? Same integration.
Wikipedia search? You got it! Sky-intent does it too 😛
I'm at the point where I'd rather a less functional but local solution over one where I'm cloud dependent and sharing my data/behaviors etc with Google/Amazon
That said, I try as hard as possible to not use voice for any part of my smart home
/thread
Really, you should not need to use VA at all if it's properly automated 😛
My 9 assistants and 12 tablets are MAINLY for my guests
My stuff/preferences are already baked-in and automated
That's absolutely valid and I am with you but my point is that the mics on the google homes work way better than the voice and its not even a competition. Voice control to voice control google blows the voice pe out of the water every time and that is ulimently their use
sometimes its easier to use voice then say buying a pressure sensor for a bed lol, I have a good night routine that I trigger via voice, rather then reach for my phone
I agree 100% with this
Just put 16 load cells under the mattress 😛
(/s)
I'm not savy enough to do this, but I wish I could just put a mic on all my esp32's since I have 3 in many rooms and just make a house hold web of mics
I tried hooking up a Mic to esp32s, and gave up and went with premadeESP32-s3-boxes
For a mic, you'll need an amplifier and all that to be soldered, as the voltage is very low without that
I do have a withings pressure mat, I replace the esp32 one with it again as I wasn't getting good readings with it but for a while I was just using bermuda and phone charge state to run the good night automations
Can you give me an example of one?
USB-C, USB-A, I/O, Pmod™ Compatible Interlace, MicroSD Slot, 18650 Battery Slot
I use those
I got 6
ouch those are expensive
could get PE's with speakers for not much more :/
100% But no screen, no Battery compartment, No Radarr, No IR blaster 😛
I have 3 VPE and 6 of those boxes.
And the boxes, while having a lower volume. Have more functions.
So it depends on your needs
or for 12 dollars a piece I can reuse my esp32 boards with soldering :/
I had gotten it for the sleep tracking. HA was a nice add on. You can sometimes find them on ebay for $20
100%. Will it look as good as this tho?
I have a few of those, but they don't have an XMOS chip to remove background noise and I found them not to be as reliable. That was a long time ago, though
100% a caveat. rn i'm looking at those respeakers someone posted earlier... but then i'd have 3 different devices for 1 function. So my streamlining efforts would be going donw the drain
What part of the toilet do you control with IR?
I could see a use for a remote flush, for when the kids leave more in the toilet than goes down, yes you know what I mean
teach your racoon to poop in the toilet, then flush on no occupancy after 5 minutes
should build in a second condition for safety before raccoon got flushed away. On the other hand, raccoon will clean obstacles if pressure is applied.
a friend told me
i think i bricked my homeassistant, none of my things were making progress updating so i restarted it and now its not connecting
😍
should i turn off and on the device its running on

must be a april joke, otherwise create a thread in #1284966540617449515
@olive saffron
Heyo, hope everyone is having a wonderful day so far!
Trying to wrap my head around getting my Cursor AI to connect to HA. Does anyone have a doc or video tutorial they’d recommend?
I am connected but not able to access Lovelace dashboards or logs the way I hoped. I want to see how others are able to use it.
im personally more attaching to ollama with a custom fork of HGA
though i have to ask how are you putting together the prompt for it? (fingers cross you are not just doing the default dump every entity into the context window)
or is it more of a stats integration?
Question - how do people that have set up presence lights determine current brightness level? Like if the room is already bright I don't need the lights but if its dark I do
I used to use this little aqara illuminance sensors but I kind of hated them. I had to manipulate the data coming out so much to kind of get them to do what I wanted and they still didn't really work that well. Now I tried using https://github.com/pnbruckner/ha-illuminance to just base it on illuminance outside but that's not working well either
I was trying to use
https://github.com/Coolver/home-assistant-mcp
It seems connected. I am just getting started. I was hoping to be able to look at a Lovelace dashboard and improve it.
@blazing parcel
Anyone have something that actually works? lol
Seems like a question for #1284966353798697001 -> Recommendations
Sure yea that makes sense
maybe change name to "the-water-cooler-without-support-absolutely NO-SUPPORT-HERE"
Huh, new update did end up making it out on April 1st. That bodes well.
I cannot support this
You mean you didn't get the "make all voice assistants bleat like sheep" update?
nope, no sheep, no dogs and no sneeze
i mean, i do get updates, but they never blehr at me
To be fair, HA is one place I'd have very limited patience for April fools jokes. I expect my HA to run and run well.
yeah, actually lol, i have a full llm powerd smart home now based on HA using an 8b model to do just about anything gemini can 😄
that's what it does, at least for me, no sence of humor today for me too...
but does it meow, blehr or sneeze??
