like its literalyl senml mqtt, HA uses this format natively with the mqtt integration

HA has been fine on my NAS for months. Had a baby, away for some nights, and have come back to this. HA starts, I can login to the UI if Im quick, but eventually it stops responding and HA log ends with the above. I've renamed the custom_components folder to prevent any of those loading, same result.

I turn them on and off by hand as I enter and leave rooms as I normally would. What HA lets me do is turn external lights on at sunset, and turn everything off when I go to sleep.

Indeed I used to have Hues and disliked that I had to use an app or whatever to turn them on and off, by making the switches smert you get both manual and remote ops

Oh thank goodness another someone like me. That's exactly what I use it for as well. I know threads and comments can be deceiving, but I feel like a nutter when I read about people who don't touch their switches for months. I think I'd melt with that much constant light.

The only reason I've considered putting in smart switches is to make sure I can turn them all off at night, otherwise I doubt I'd ever use/automate them.

I was really happy with the Orbi wireless meshing tbh. I was getting like 400 Mbps, which is enough for pretty much any realistic end-user workload. I went to a wired backhaul and my absolute fastest wifi devices can now get like 700.

As a workaround I've got a couple of buttons which will turn something on, one for 1hr, another for 2.5hrs. But was just wondering if there's a more elegant way of doing that sort of thing

I heard back from my JetKVM that died the other day. They went through a standard troubleshooting checklist (all of which i had already done and more but I get it) as its a kickstarter unit their solution is that they are going to ship me a replacement motherboard and I swap it out myself.

I am pretty happy with that outcome tbh, I wasn't sure what to expect with it being a kickstarter unit but they have done the right thing.

Once I get the replacement motherboard and swap it out, Ill autopsy the dead motherboard a bit and see if I can get more details.

I like to use them for a set of four outdoor camera views, weather, and controlling my hot water recirculation pump mainly. I used to have 433Mhz portable displays in a couple of places in the house, got tired of changing the time on them, and decided to go the tablet route

so part laziness, and part additional functionality

Except discord didn't have a breach regarding any of the data for this stuff lol
It was their third party support team where people who were banned for being under 13 had an appeal area, which required ID as a result. Nothing related (not even the same companies involved) as this

Also these photo scans are actually on device, since people have found ways to exploit it lol, just pass a token to the provider going "yeah this person meets xyz characteristics" instead of the actual photo

(Though at least you don't need to verify for the vast majority of discord stuff anyway, its not something I've encountered)
