you can get unswitched sockets too but they are not very common and mostly for specific purposes. e.g. in a place thats less accessiable so you wuldnt be switching anyway.

Does anyone here know of a zigbee sensor device which supports axis readings in HA?

For context, I have a cheap space heater that I've used for years, but it doesn't have a tilt safety on it. I already have it on a smart outlet to treat it as a generic thermostat, so I thought I'd stick a sensor to the side just in case it gets toppled over I can have HA shut off the switch/thermostat.

I know there are garage door sensors, but I don't know how sensitive they are, or if they expose the axis entities directly. I do have some older SmartThings contact/multi sensors which have axis data, but for some reason ZHA does not expose it, and I really don't want to migrate over to Z2M yet, that's a future project.

In case anyone is wondering... it sucks. Installed the VM on Proxmox. It requires you to use the mobile app for setup (despite having a local Web UI).. auto discovery doesn't work for me, and it forces you to buy their hardware for Zigbee/Z-Wave ON THE SELF HOSTED version

I have an espresso machine, and I use a smart plug to turn it on and off, and it needs to warm-up before i can use it to get the best results.

What I want is like a small, gauge-sized perhaps zigbee or WiFi screen that integrates with my home assistant, where i can enter how much time its been since i turned the machine on, and then when its ready (after x minutes). Just free-text probably.

I have three Tuya SL60Ds now. Two RV2100s and one OKP L1 all out working constantly. I’ve had to repair the NGTeco wheels spring on one and that’s it. No problems so far x I have been very successful in repairing Tuya robot vacuums and finding different parts from others to match exactly what’s wrong due to so many different models sharing the same parts as they are usually all made in the same place! I’ve been lucky in keeping these things working 5+ years even as cheap as they are the nidec pulse motor inside most of them is cheap but strong life. Oddly enough they make the dustbin different on purpose each one so you can’t find one but there’s other models out there that have it somewhere and the MCU is almost entirely non existent only motherboards for sale due to the Serial Number programmed I’m guessing for activation and other firmware stored on they don’t want being shared to other Tuya models / wouldn’t have the right DP’s. I’m using only iPhone app for Tuya. Android sux. Sorry.

Stick vacuums suck! That’s why I own 7 Tuya ones out in the wild and maintain them myself. My older grandmother can’t use a stick vacuum anymore and prefers the labubu SL60D.
