I'm using a bunch of LoRa (922MHz in this region) things. The radio for those is under the house, to get to the garage goes through my house's floor and outside wall, a concrete retaining wall, a couple of metres of dirt, the neighbour's entire house, another concrete retaining wall, the outside wall and floor of the garage. Still works perfectly.

My $0.02: Run HAOS on bare metal dedicated. If you are going to rely on it, give it a stable home you don't mess with very often. You can also run a second HAOS for dev purposes in a docker or VM or something, but the one that is used in house for things like doorbell or burglar alarm is on dedicated PC that has UPS and regular backups.

Over time I migrated from a Pi4 to a pi5 then from pi5 to a dedicated dell 3070 with i5, 16g and 512g ssd.. the migration process was stunningly easy.

I've reverted back to 2024.9. I'm running HA Container, but the 2024.10.1 has so many errors when starting. Don't even know where to begin to debug it.
HACS wont load "Unterminated string literal". Seems to be due to the string being split over multiple lines in the code, no idea what that would suddenly be an issue.
