So I could use some direction. I want to have a wifi speaker that I can play music on controlled from my phone. Ultimately add Assist into the mix and ask it to play on specified speaker. etg "Assist, play The Downward Spiral on kitchen speaker." I know there are a few ways to eat...er skin this cat. Hmm, can't say I'm a fan of the new discord layout. I think the discourse forums work better for the structured use case than discord, since the content is publicly visible there. Main reason I like chat channels is for the natural conversations and quick back and forth on questions that aren't big enough to be worth creating an entire forum post.

Part of the reason I dislike the forum post layout (and threads) is that if you don't think you can contribute based on the initial post, but the conversation shifts to something you can help with, you'll never know. Having messages in one channel makes it far easier to jump in and help.

The same way it was before, just in blocks instead of full text in between what you’re sharing - people wander into the channel. It gives people a dedicated spot to talk specifically about you and your work without someone needing support interrupting that.
