The V3 one uses a 2.2" screen and an ESP8266 - It can decode JPEGs! And is faster! WiFi isn't needed for a badge, but adds to the hackability.

If you havent done the VGA mod on the dreamcast I would reocmend it. I remember it being relatively straight forward, I think it was just soldering and a connector required

Interesting chat - please pass on a request - please add a path to control their home automation via Bluetooth Keyboard keystrokes. That enables many many Assistive Tech folks to control their homes. An open internet API allows this via BT->Wifi, but let them know it's important.
