I get 20 to 21 depending on whether or not drawn shrimp count. This does not include reappearances of the same shrimp in different scenes. 10 on both of the stacked plates (I had to infer some that were hidden behind or under other ones based on bits of shrimp color that did not match up to the obvious ones on top or in front), 1 in the hat brim, 1 in the hand of the person with long hair and glasses, 1 in the hand of the person with a bun, 6 in the bowl (these may be ones turned in by people holding them in earlier scenes, but I will count them anyways), 1 in the hand of the person with the green shirt, 1 drawn on the shrimp missing poster (not sure if it counts).

I'm not sure if I counted correctly so I'll also mention the instances I found the shrimp: 7-8 in the first time we see the jar, 1 in the missing poster (idk if it matters if it's drawn), 1 in the guy's hat, 1 a woman is showing to the camera after she found it, 2-3 in the jar again, 2 in the scene where a woman is having her picture taken while on the carriage and a man is watching (I think they each have a shrimp on their hand but I might be wrong on this one), 1 in someone's hand, and last 2-3 in the jar where we see the booth before the event begins I assume. So that gives us a total of around 13-19. I'm going to say 19 and leave it at that 😄

so, rounding up, there is a total of 34/35 shrimps if we count the ones that reappear

otherwise it's 17/18
