I have seen that a server gave roles to people who are staff in other platforms of the same fandom
They aren't moderation roles for the server since one of the people who had such role confirmed to me that they don't have any moderation tools accessed to them via that role on the server but I figured that it would seem cool and more organized to put roles for staffs on other rusty lake fandoms

As someone who used to be a full time member that ran basically Leachims, I can tell you it was really stressful on other people and clientell of more people who spread across the entire globe, it is really hard to sit down at the comp, tablet, or cell phone and respond to the world's population @fleet sapphire

Regarding Samsara Room, I haven't finished it yet; I like the graphical updates and so forth, but unlike most of Victor's work, the music here is rather lacking. I prefer Kevin MacLeod's tracks from the original, primarily because they convey a better atmosphere and tension.

maybe you could make some like self assignable roles?
eg if members dont want access to a specific spoiler channel they can give themselves a role that makes it so they can’t see it, maybe a role that people can @ when they need help, maybe a like server announcement role so people can be notified whenever something is posted in #📯｜rl-announcements?
i usually use the YAGPDB.xyz bot for these roles in my servers because it’s easy for members to give themselves the roles, but it’s a little difficult to set up! if you guys decide to do this suggestion and use this bot i’d be happy to help out :)

Well, there's already an option to mute channel if you don't want to get notifications from it, so we strongly suggest using that to not see spoilers

I have a suggestion, or an idea actually.
How about creating a game that ties in gameplay with live action clips that play between game chapters, or when you do something important.
Big Fish Games had done this for their later games for the Mystery Case Files Series; if interested, Dire Grove, The 13th Skull, and Shadow Lake are good examples of this.

Just to give sometimes feedbacks and not just ideas i found the atmosphere of samsara room really emerging and the remake work really well done because even if based on an old game, i don't feel it in a bad way and i was more like nostalgic like if i was playing a remake of Cube Escape Seasons with all the progress made in 5 years even if i never played the original samsara room unfortunately. A really good experience.

I said that earlier on the cabin salon a bit in a humorous way but i will propose here too, in case if some people could like the idea, but why don't add some easter eggs about famous cube in the pop culture in Rusty Lake games? I was talking about the Lemarchand's Box of Hellraiser at this moment on the cabin salon but it could be others cubes, like the cube film franchise or others.

Another way to help minimize wrong channel posting would be to change the order of the channels so the Help one comes up first. From the way how people ask for help, they click the first channel with the name of the game so yeah .

Can we have more language channel (cute Shrimp person, the Shrimpy Amy I think suggested Polish channel because we invaded here in large numbers) and some channels for translators? (Laura V.B. always asks people who knows Estonian to help and it would be surely easier for her to have a channel to talk with all of them at once) I think those channels can make really kind people happy and may also be useful as well.

I just want to say, I really appreciate the game devs. You can tell that they really appreciate their fanbase. Another thing I love about Rusty Lake is how immersive it is. ||Like they even created a website for The White Door and freaking hid cubes in real life!|| It’s amazing how the creators really make the games come to life. I can't choose my favorite game for rusty lake, I love them all so much.
Original Samsara: my first Rusty lake game.
Cube escape Lake through The Mill: such great story and mystery behind the lore, kept pulling me in and had me eager for more.
Hotel: My first premium and loved how you don't have to always follow in order to get the perfect score
Birthday and Theatre: little bit of back story into Dale's life and how he's slowly coming to the lake
Roots: Backstory of Laura and Mr. Crow's family
Cave: more into the story for Mr. Crow and suprise visit from Laura and Dale!
Paradise: This came out on my birthday and feature the 7 plauges. Loved it so much
Paradox: Woo boy this was a doozy but in a good way, loved the game, loved the movie, loved the secret between the two
The white door: BOB!!!
Samsara Room: nice retouch of the original found on the computer and it seems like it's a whole new form of it as well. I can't wait for more things about Rusty lake!

The question is not about swearing or breaking major rules, I believe we can trust all of us on that matter. The matter at hand is all english messages are getting drowned in a flood of Espanol messages and Vice versa(at times) like you said. And another setback right now is, ppl Can speak Spanish here, which means the English speaking ppl are mostly losing track of msgs.
And for the sake of equity I'll say that the reverse may also be happening.

No one knows how to fix it tbh, that’s what we said multiple times in a row. Both we and the devs are aware of this problem. And as Damy mentioned: it might be fixed in cube escape collection. We do not know of if it is fixed for the older games’ versions. We can not help you and fix that immediately if none of what we mentioned worked.

There is always an option to play the games from PC, they are also free in that way.

I’ve had that bug a few times before @viral marlin and a few suggestions I can give is make sure it’s the only app running; because background apps still use a lot of processor power! Another idea is update your phone there may of been an update which specifically targeted that problem in games. And lastly a simple restart of your phone, some older phones need to be powered off then on again so the app can be installed properly. I hope these tricks help.

A lot of the channels dont have descriptions. Just pins. Its a lot easier to check the descriptions than the pins so I think descriptions should be added in channels where there are none.

Also, the promo chat is so specific...why not include merch ideas there too?

I've a suggestion
I feel you shud enable multiplayer mode as well. This should manifest in the gameplay in one of two ways...
A. The game screen of both individuals will show in split screen
Or
B. Two or more players are in the exact same co-op room(would be most recommended) (this mode will be like playing an actual escape room with friends)

Hi. the cube game paradox breaks down in the first chapter everytime I try to interact with the tv. I tap on the tv, choose a chanel and the game freezes and all I can do is to start the game new. Then the same problem happens again.

@torn basin I understand your concerns about us redirecting ppl to different channels, I also understand that sometimes it might look like too gate-keeping, but we are meant to keep everything in order not to start chaos. We are following the rules and channel’s descriptions. I would not agree with us being somehow harsh in this question. I would also like to mark that we are only asking and warning ppl, giving them correct links/hashtags and not leaving anyone thinking of “which channel should I have used in this case”. We are not acting stricter. We are always open to help if someone is mixed up with channels, it’s always okay to ask. We understand that there are a lot of new discord users and we would like to help them to get used to this app and the server itself. Thank you for worrying about this point.

Small addition: it’s sad that sometimes ppl dont notice that someone uses wrong channels on purpose and multiple times while being already warned and aware of channel’s descriptions. This are rare cases where we should act a little stricter. I am sorry if we sound harsh in this cases.

Favourite moment? Quite difficult, but uh..
A) Seeing Laura being killed on the Moon: Seasons. (Specially the first timers XD)
B) “Boom!! Haha!”: Birthday.

C) Paradise: When Jakob is burnt alive after everything is does is quite sad and an amazing moment. Even seeing all of them in the Animal masks were terrifying, but brilliant piece of work.

D) Mill: When we realise Laura (her Corrupted soul) almost killed her own pet!

E) White Door: “Hey man! Want a light?”, totally caught me off guard haha!
F) Cave: Solving the submarine coordinate puzzles; also that cuttlefish scene was L I T; seeing ourselves save Mr. Owl from death.

G) Roots: Playing the “Truth and Lie” game, “Family Band” was terrifying and awesome.

And many many more 😄

Arles: By far one of my favorite scenes ||is the little interaction with Van Gogh's friend and the little shrug he does||
Birthday: ||The grandpa when he's dancing and when he kills Mr. Rabbit. Also the puzzle to get the record is very calming||

I have always just loved the (spoilers for paradox) ||final room, just before the fog maze at the end, where you have to use a few canon items that were symbolic for the series in order to progress, and what Laura says to you- it has always touched my heart seeing the items that- for years- I have enjoyed using in the previous games, given to Laura for the finale...|| It's relaxing||, especially since you likely know what happens to her in a little bit. I like to think of it as a little calm before the storm.||

we're sorry to hear! it is a known bug which should be updated, but if you have access to a computer you can still play most cube escape games in browser! there's of course also the premium games on steam, but I am pretty sure they dont have any issues on mobile either.

Hey @wide cape, very sorry to hear you have issues opening the app. We're currently working on updating all of the Cube Escape games (including Theatre) this week or the next. This will hopefully fix the app crashing issue.

It's most likely due to the fact that Theatre hasn't been updated in a while and maybe some of the new software updates for android are conflicting with the game

#

But yeah, bear with us for a bit and it will be fixed 🙂

On another hand, as you may notice ppl use all possible channels to share emojis there, I’m very unsure if a specific channel will fix it and stop ppl from jumping all over the server

Did you slightly alter the difficulty of some puzzles or am I crazy? I could have sworn the sunflower puzzle in Arles required you to get all the flowers to the same smaller size in order to grow the other sunflower fully to get the key and that was not the case just now. I did it in one try when the first time I did it took me FOREVER lol.

Minor bug in Samsara Room (Steam) : The collision box on the top drawer of the bird level is slightly off where you can open the top drawer without opening it by clicking approximately in the area I colored pink:

Cube Escape Collection bugs:

The red forest filter associated with fungi is completely missing in Seasons.
In Case 23 Mr. Crow does not answer Dale's signals (also missing image?).
The candle in the chapel does not use the morphshape from Samsara Room as it does in Seasons. Can you replace that low-res sparkle there as well?
In The Mill after giving the lake Laura's black cube & returning to the living room the ambience is changing back to normal (plays "Dreams Become Real" & no black filter). The picture on the wall shows neither the storm nor the cubes in the lake.
In the Theatre opening 2 1st Dale's lines are played almost simultaniously.

Positive thoughts:

Achievents have refreshed the whole experience.
I liked very much cross-reference achivements.
Very glad that every old contest easter egg has got it's new purpose. It's motivating.
Achievement progress depiction in main menu is amazing.
Young Laura game confirmed! Yaaay!

Negative thoughts:

Water sounds made by corrupted soul in The Lake seem too quiet for me.
Sound effect for lamps in Crow's intermezzo is ve-e-e-ery irritating. Return the old one please or find something better.
The new thunder sound effect for some jumpscares (like Mr. Rabbit at the window) is quite suitable, but during others (like Bob's corruption in Theatre, Laura's suicide in The Cave) I miss the old iconic sound effect. Could you pleeeeeeease return it at least for mentioned cases?
A bit disappointed that Hotel secret code became public. (now you have to update Hotel as well :p)
With all my love for Bob Rafferty I already miss David Bowles as Dale's voice actor. I can see enough reasons not to hire him for this project specifically, but still hope very-very much that he returns to this role in the future.

(& what about 20000 B.C.? It's been almost 2 years & we did not get any new teaser on this project)

I've noticed some textures in Cube Escape Collection don't seem to be as high resolution as they could be:

in many cases this is understandable such as with the handpainted backgrounds in Seasons, where they might not exist in a higher resolution
however there are several cases where it looks like something that either is a simple vector redraw, or exists in a later game in higher resolution; such as the knobs on the oven in Seasons - actually it almost seems like some assets were redrawn already like the faucet handles on the sink

Also I found another collision error - clicking on the faucet of the sink in Fall 1971 of Seasons will open the bottom left cabinet door

Also (I thought this might've been intentional but the original Seasons is not like this) the clock face in Fall 1971 has the number 12 twice

Hey I got a glitch in seasons in winter where you play the favorite song on the radio. The notes are overlaid with flashing mills. It’s weird though because I played through the collection last night and seasons didn’t have this problem then

Hey, I was just wondering if you guys could update the App titles on iOS? Currently they all display as “CubeEscape:’...’” but i think it would look a lot cleaner, add to the foreboding theme of the games and also just let me read the full title of the game if they just cut the “Cube Escape” part and just made it “Seasons” or “Arles” etc...

Looking at the wiki I think Winter in Seasons is still broken? I can't get Harvey to appear at the window with the flower - I made the 3 other juices, broke the window, then released harvey ? in that order, now when I play his song I can't get him to appear?

My friends are complaining that CE collection breaks the playthrough order recommended by RL. Let me explain.

People tend to play all 9 CE chapters one after another ignoring everything outside. That may bring some confusion when a newcomer sees a secret scene in Birthday or the Vanderboom tree in The Cave.

You may say that they still can play those games afterwards & you would be right here, but the experience they will get will be very different to what is intended by dev's artistical idea. Some facts will be known before time & different questions will be asked. Someplaces the storng sensation of pure confusion will be lost.

I propose a way to nihilate that effect for as many players as possible. Just add some links to the endscreen of the chapters needed with the explanation how important that might be. To be precise: a link to Hotel for The Mill, a link to Roots for Theatre & the links to everything else in the correct order for The Cave (including Samsara Room).

And then the player would have a choice either to play the next CE chapter or to have a break & check out a premium RL game that would fill a gap in the narrative.

Experienced a few freezes when trying to use the Steam overlay in fullscreen. There's really nothing detailed to report: sometimes I hit Shift-Tab to get the overlay and the game locks up. Once it eventually recovered but every other time it doesn't.

The duplicate glasses bug in Theater kind of trivializes an element of the original puzzle, it should probably be fixed.

While I understand the Flash version of the mushroom scene in Seasons is an seizure concern, the current replacement is really underwhelming. Maybe the player should see a solid image of the dark forest instead of a flashing one?

Oh, and if you douse the log in the opening scene of Seasons, you still seem to be able to use the picture to proceed to the next scene. In the Flash version that's not the case, not sure if that was deliberate.

Oh, right, I also experienced a glitch at the start of theatre where, during the opening sequence, I opened the door to the elevator, three cubes fell down, and then continued to loop like that. No cube ever showed up to start the game. I had to exit the game via the game select menu and go back in to make it work properly.
