In Seasons, the trees in the background are kinda yonky, the early corrupted souls were blurry, Mr. Crow had no drip The artstyle has not changed just now, it has been changing since the first games So instead of going back to the old one, let's look forward for the current artstyle to be enhanced too

In Roots, we play as William Vanderboom, the brother of Aldous

Together, they have recreated the Elixir and consumed it. William dies and Aldous is enlightened, but they already have a plan to make William be reborn

At the end of the game, all sacrifices are used to make William be reborn as Laura

So technically she is in the game, as the last level

In Cave, we learn about the Golden Cube

Or, a Golden Cube

William has died and the Elixir recipe has been preserved inside his memories

And since he's now Laura, her memories contain the Elixir

This Golden Cube will be created using the cubes of Laura and a blue cube

In the Book, her cubes have the Elixir symbol, so the Golden Cube is basically an Elixir, probably

In the submarine section, we gather all three cubes and go to middle where we create the Golden Cube and give to Dale

If you mean the past within, the past within doesn't require internet connection or invitation. You and your partner need a place to communication like voice chat, text, or a room in real life. One choose past and the other choose future if it's full version, both of you choose same insect (bee or butterfly). Then communicate each other and follow the instruction.
