The game has been doing very badly development wise, the news about the game's direction or long term plans are basically non-existent, today everybody is waiting for the (extremely) late roadmap for 2025 (in March xD). I feel the same like before December 2024 when despite the terrible updates they have been delivering, they asked us to vote for HLL for the Steam award "Labour of Love".

And today, the situation didn't change and they give us... an artwork competition. Like wtf. I mean... OK let's have a competition, competitions are good. But you have to do it when the game is doing at least a bit well and when the dedicated playerbase is happy. But when you do it like this, you will just piss the playerbase off even more as it gives a strong feeling that the energy is not being put into the important stuff (roadmap, development, communication, transparency).

Honestly, I am speechless so I will use one quote that pretty much depicts Team17 vs the HLL playerbase...
"They're pissing on us and not even giving us the courtesy of calling it rain."

I understand that there are frustrations about the game however as CM my role, alongside sharing updates on the game and giving feedback from yourselves to the devs, is to improve community aspects.

As grimm said, this is purely on myself as CM (and isn't taking up dev time), and is just the first in a number of community activities that we're doing. I think the game is fun so far, it’s not perfect no games are, and I’m definitely not the forgiving type typically. I get it though. I played Tarkov for years, I’m a Battlefield veteran, I definitely get it.

I am far more forgiving for companies working on a “new” thing. Tarkov got a lot of passes for me because of that. Battlefield is no excuse because of the budget, times, expectations etc… the sequels should not be worse. The end.

• mortars obviously (and remove the arty guns from the game), heavy MGs/tripods
• probably unrealistic one - replacing the grid-square-shaped sectors with the shapes that follow terrain/cover/compound borders

Depends tbh, sometimes a stalemate lasts a long time and it helps if you let enemy have that far-flank garrison that will trick their defenders to leave. As long as you check their known advance with fewer people than they attack with, it'll let your guys outnumber the enemy elsewhere.

Me and handful of high ranking people get put in game full low level idiots who have zero clue as to how to play.

The game folds quickly because the stupid low levels make it their mission to sabotage whatever attempts we make to win.

Just keep in mind they're meant to be stickers and emojis.

When submitting something, ask yourself the question of "When in a conversation would I use this?". 99% of the time the usage would most likely be for fun and to poke at someone or some topic, so some random image wouldn't work at all.
Because usually out of context stickers are weird if the joke doesn't connect correctly and most of the currently submitted images wouldn't work as emojis either, because for it to be funni.exe, you actually need detail in the image or the size of it, thus rescaling it to 128x128 would make it just a bunch of pixels, barely readable.

We already have a bunch of pointless emojis that aren't used by anyone. Maybe, just maaaybe, you can find them in like 1 post list from a mod somewhere, but stuff like: is completely pointless to have in here.
Like at a first glance from my, not too big, 24 inch monitor, I can barely tell its a stuart tank.
