shouldn't delete any files, only restore any files that are missing, so your mods should still be there

if you mess up your game, just delete the entire RoN folder and verify, but that's not really necessary; simply keep track of what is modded, and if you don't want it anymore and didn't back up the originals, then remove what you don't want anymore and then verify the game through steam and steam will replace the missing files with the originals

To my knowledge, I could be wrong, only started recently. You're not actually downloading anything by joining a modded lobby. As mentioned, most of it is just them changing values on AI and stuff. Stuff like downloading images for skins is entirely client side and can't be forced onto other players

I do think I might've messed my game up trying to download a shaders mod. It's all fuzzy, I don't remember it being so fuzzy

Everything unlocked will allow you to use the weapons and others can see them but not use them unless they have the mod installed. It's because the mod uses in-game assets (unfinished/unreleased guns). Shaders will only effect you

shaders on reshade that use the depth buffer wont work online btw, ull need a modified reshade that removes the restriction (reshade added that restriction to prevent cheating in games, but since RON isnt pvp yet, there is nothing to worry about)

Increased amount of suspects to the maximum amount possible on each map
Increased health across the board, Civilians are a bit tougher than default, Suspects are tougher, just imagine everyone is wearing body armor now, Swat units are a bit tougher as well, to allow solo players to experience the mode as well as making group play a bit more fun
Increased suspect awareness range both in alerted and non alerted states
Increased the time suspects will remember engaging you
Increased the time during which suspects will track you down after engaging you
Increased suspect decision and reaction time to seek cover / fire weapons

Probably depends what you're trying to make

If it tweaks AI, all you gotta do is make a .pak that overrides the games Ai settings. If you're trying to make something like a skin, you're probably going to need a photo editor software or somethin alike to edit the skin. If you're making a new model, you likely need something like blender

If it's a skin that doesn't use in-game assets, no, it won't. If it's something like weapons unlocked that uses in-game assets that aren't available yet, everyone can see it but only those who have it can use it. If it's something like an AI change, if the host has it, it will impact the game. If it's somethin like a map, everyone must have it for it to work properly

It's thriving pretty good already with almost 500 mods on Nexus. Sure Workshop would make things easier. My first focus in development would be the AI, navigation of SWAT AI, let the AI use battering ram and shield themself, polishing current development maps and add some of the content that was shown in the trailer (like pre-planning). There's the argument that somebody could use mods that make it way easier. Guess what: you can use mods that make it way more DIFFICULT - what then? You don't deserve to get that S rank even though you made it harder for yourself?
Not to mention that TRAINERS exist and guess what: you can have an unmodded game, while being literally invincible and capable of soloing any mission and getting that S rank.

Trainers should not work in multiplayer. There is no multiplayer. It's mainly a singleplayer/ coop game. If you play coop, you either play with a premade team or you sign a hidden contract of being "ready or not" for anything to happen if you join a public lobby.

If a developer wants to put an anticheat in place for a singleplayer/ coop game, then I think they need to get their priorities checked. 🤣

The devs want to be very mod friendly. So at the moment it seems most stuff goes. We will have to wait and see in the future (if something like pvp comes to the game) what will be allowed and what wont, though I would assume they will try and stay as mod friendly as possible

Obviously don't go and download some sick wallhacks and join public lobbies, but reskins, audio mods, ai mods, and reshades are all usable at the moment

There is an option on the game settings for a server checksum. If this is enabled, everyone on the server will need the same mods. If the server has this setting off, everyone can use whatever mods they want
