Corrupt data means it's trying to load out of date mods. if you used mod.io, don't in future, use the Nexus page and always check if the mods were updated or made after December 10th

Is that the only mod you two have? If you're able to get into a lobby and it disconnects on mission start it might be a shader cache issue. Both of you should try loading into the level solo, then try a lobby again.

Which AI mods are best for absolute realism and immersion?

Im talking like, suspects taking cover, running, executing civvies, possibly more interactions with civvies, making them more difficult, etc.

I find the AI a bit lacking still. Im shooting for a mod that ups the ante and introduces more beliveable and immersive AI actions.

No AI mod can introduce new behavior/actions, only tweak, you can go through the list of mods for that. I think a good chunk of em have harder difficulties

All AI mods out there, just use values that Void built into the game.
People just tweak them around. You will find nothing new with them.

hey all, there was a mod that increased the suspect count to MASSIVELY unrealistic numbers. I am talking about 70+ on gas station and about 150+ on hospital.
I am trying to replicate it but there seems to be a suspect count limit in play (25 on gas station) for example.

Well if you simply remove the added mod files the problem shouldn't continue to occur. Outdated mods will crash the game but removing said outdated mod will stop the crashing.

I've asked and asked and asked dozens of questions and they're either skipped over by everyone else (as are most posts actually) or they just link that stupid outdated website. I've even asked modders themselves on nexus and they just point me at those two places too

The modding Discord is really just a starting point and gives you a basic idea of what you're doing, and while a lot of the content of the modding guide and video tutorials is outdated, a lot of what's in them still applies today. The most definitive change was RoN being updated to UE5, so you have to adjust their contents from UE4 to UE5, which really isn't that difficult to figure out.

There's nobody there that's dedicated to answering questions and teaching people. People have other things to do and their own mods to work on. After you've learned the basics, it's really on you to keep at it and basically self-teach yourself on how to mod the game which will most likely be done through video tutorials for blender and unreal and as such. It's practically what I did, and it's most likely what most of the others did too.

Nexus is by far a better moderated site since you know they actually have moderation and don't leave it to the devs of games to handle it like mod.io does and better file checking and it's more likely for a suspicious or malicious mod page to get taken down when reported in a more timely manner than mod.io but just like anywhere else online you can't always 100% trust any site regardless of that nexus is definitely 10x safer and just better in general in everything except download speed for modding this game.

Never had an issue with it and it isn’t the greatest having your swat constantly speaking through out the mission so friends only lobby solo would be the most optimal way to do it without mods but people want to be able to do the same in commander mode and such so that mod is a great option.

You can play with mods to allow playing with different mods you need to disable server side checksum in gameplay settings.
Some mods however will require everyone to have them installed but stuff like cosmetics will be clientsided and AI mods require only the host to have it.

Just need to make sure server side checksum is disabled in gameplay options and depending on the mods they may or not be playable depending on who’s hosting so in the case of custom weapons they won’t be usable if your not hosting but if you are and use it than it’ll be invisible and have no audio for others who join and don’t have it. Gunfighter should work completely fine in multiplayer with everything except the movement as that may be janky for people that don’t have it installed.

to make sure theyre gone I would go in an manually remove the entire paks folder in the game files, then verify installation.

that way itll only download the base game paks

You might want to try to wipe mod data and launch like that.
Properties > Launch options on the first page, select that option.

Take out all mods, launch with that option, try to launch again.

Also, i do not know what vortex is, so that might be the issue, google is your friend.

I'm slowly going through which .pak file it could be that is causing the crash and so far I have found that it is Gunpowdah AI Pack and the LA5 Surefire laser mod that are causing and issue whith the game

Im pretty sure that your mods werent updated. They either have to say "updated for dark waters" or be inconsequential enough to not matter if they are updated or not

very rarely the case. Anything that modifies stuff on weapons or AI will make your shit crash.

The AI mod i recommend is "ready or not here i come" and on that, the medium difficulty. (still pretty hard.)

Its probably the most realistic mod. But the mod creator has like, 10 versions. stuff like, even easier/harder suspects, no traps, etc. I really recommend looking it up.

The is a program called WeMod and there is an option in the menu to just teleport to every NPC

Just don't use it in the Police Station because you will have to delete your save if you do that, it pretty much soft locks you

You don't mod authors have to update the mods themselves your only choice is to find different mods to play with.

I'd also highly recommend using nexusmods and installing mods manually instead much more up to date mods uploaded there.

Generally no but if it's an addon weapon than if you're hosting and they don't have it it'll be invisible to them and addon weapons won't appear if you join someone else hosting and characters/cosmetics well you'll just look default to anyone who doesn't have the mod and if you're not hosting with addon cosmetics than you'll have default cosmetics when not in loadout.

It shouldn't unless something fucky happens the save data isn't stored in the main folder. But if you're worried about it you can back it up by saving the files located here: %localappdata%\ReadyOrNot\Saved\SaveGames to another location.

Reinstalling wouldn't wipe mods unless you manually deleted the entire folder which isn't necessary to wipe mods. Just go to: Steam\steamapps\common\Ready Or Not\ReadyOrNot\Content\Paks and remove anything that isn't "pakchunk#-Windows.pak" with numbers being 0-19 and 22/23

And use clean mods / save data launch option. (After you back up your savegames folder.)
