A hand on a shoulder can mean different things depending on the SOP of the team using it. Primarily and what it's most often used as is a way to initiate movement via shoulder tapping it tells the guy in front that the team is set and ready to move on him. We had a mod that did this without an animation which was called Tappy but right now that's outdated but should be getting an update some time soon.

From my testing, no I couldn't get any custom weapons to work regardless of item loader still working for other mods.
So only guns updated to Dark Waters would work with Item loader

Crashing usually means you're installing outdated mods. To be clear the current date for mods to be working is December 10th of this year there are some mods that haven't been updated that still work but a good chunk of mods broke because of the update on the 10th.

What effect to mods have exactly when it comes to ingame progression? I've been running GunFighter in most of my time playing the game. I have done S rank with it and gotten achievements with it even with the "Unofficial Score" warning. I decided to try a go at Ironman and unlocking "The Hermit" achievement only for me to finish Port but not get either "The World" or "The Hermit". Is this because of mods? is it a bug? any help would be greatly appreciated. Other notes are I did get rather low scores of a couple of the maps, I did have an officer quit and I'm unsure if this voids "The Hermit" achievement. I am aware that RoN sometimes refuses to hand out achievements for some reason and am unsure if that might just be the issue I am facing. again any help is much appreciated, Sorry for the long message

Yea the issues with unlock any cosmetics and achievements are completely unrelated to the mods as they have no affect on these what so ever and I have not bothered to retain any information for fixes on these subjects best I can remember is often times you may not get this because a officer retired as that counts towards losing one and sometimes it's just a matter of replaying a mission.

After a mission you have an area where you press a button to clean the equiped firearm, if you do not clean it the firearm looks more and more scratched up the more you use it, maybe after extreme neglection it has a chance to jam.

Does anyone know how it could be fixed? I extracted the SWAT_Cybernetics file that was in the Pak and didn't see anything different to the non-modded version.
Nope only thing I noticed is the name map in the modded file had more items than the vanilla and that vanilla added things that I believe are related to aim assist likely for the new gamepad controls.
Damn. Yeah I can't find what change to the file would disable the SWAT AI characters. Do you think there would be a command somewhere that just disables spawning?
Maybe but I don't usually do any BP modding beyond what's required to make cosmetic mods addons.

Yeah fingers crossed. I'm much more into intense solo play than commanding a squad, and it feels super unimmersive to just leave them at the entrance.
You can still host a friends only lobby and play solo that way.

The hider mod shouldn't have any issues since it's just practically a replacer/reskin that makes the game invisible so no worse than any other replacer or reskin weapon mod but pistols as primary I have no idea.

Remember, my mod only simulates a difficulty system, so you can pair one AI mod with my damage rebuff and more slots mod. If you use Gunfighter, then the other gameplay mods technically aren't necessary. Good luck on finding your best experience

It requires other mods to work you need item asset loader and simple blueprint loader as mentioned on the mod page description. I suggest you read those as they often tend to have important information.

I'm just browsing through the games ammo data tables and, anyone else who's a gun person correct me if I'm wrong, FMJ has a higher spalling damage value than jacketed hollow point. Shouldn't that be the opposite? Full metal jacket is designed to go through and through, ideally. Hollow points expand on impact. So knowing that, hollow points are far more likely to actually spall as opposed to FMJ. Following that logic then, they should do more damage since they likelihood of the spalling actually happening in the first place is much greater, right?

Don't ever click the Subscribe button over mod.io
Instead log into the website directly if you must use it over Nexus Mods to manually install them. It's not very good and most mods on the site are out of date to their current game version and engine
So I'd recommend just using Nexus Mods for your modding needs

But now you'll have to go into your Local App Data Cache, search mod.io, and delete the folder
Then go into your Paks folder for Ready and not and delete the mod.io folder there as well
It'll fix the corrupted file
Otherwise, a fresh install may work

It's called Here I Come and the file is Real Tactical for Vanilla AI count
Or you can try Roleplay Tactical for a 20% higher suspect count. The AI are either more dangerous with their reactions or they can be more compliant depending on how you defuse the situation

welp i may have messed up. Yall know how Gunfighter used to allow youto put nvgs on using the devices menu? well my loadouts are all saved with that active but the new gunfighter doesn't do that anymore so i can't unequip it.

I've done that with the night vision goggles file always on in the past where I could remove it from Paks and cache it to the game folder

Should definitely be possible but whether or not anybody with the know how to do it will actually do it is another story.
Mod I'd like to see, is the addition of two extra teams. Call them Green and Purple for all I care. Have them part of "silver team", so you can run gold team independently of silver team for 4 man entries and such.
That, or a mod similar to how SWAT 3 handled co-op multiplayer, where you could have two full elements, and any number of players/AI to fill out the two 5 man elements. So one player could run their own element, while the other player runs theirs. Allowing for 2 players to effectively operate with 10 officers.

Yea, I would have loved to seen that for 1.0 instead of dev time on commander mode etc. That and hot swapping to swat members/on death swapping to ai. I think it would have sold the game to a lot more people from the older games (swat R6 etc) even if it was an optional thing for multiplayer.

Y'know, I am struggling to figure out what is causing the game to crash. I've checked the pinned message and removed all the BP loaded guns that have yet to be updated, and updated all the mods that have received updates. but it still crashes right after the Void Interactive splash screen.
Well it's not like that list is fully detailed in everything that's working it just gives a general idea for the common mods and what not. Also if any of your mods are before the home invasion update on July 23rd of this year than they're guaranteed to not work since they were made on a completely different engine.
All my mods were after Home Invasion, that much I know.
I'm just deleting them one by one, all I have left are a few gameplay overhaul mods and weapon reskins yet the issue persists.

Hey uhh I recently played again with Gunfighter, it seems that the gas mask and anti-flash goggles are forever stuck with 2 slots on my character
Mine crashed after void screen if I had any weapon related mods on at all. The gunfighter and AI mods are fine, I have uniform add-ons and Redskins with no problem but as soon as a weapon mod goes in it crashes.
GAS, 23 Megabite, 213park, Ridgeline, Valley, and Farm level related mods, as well as mods that extend gas mask vision and improve NVG vision have been broken.
Also, all sound mod files were reset and lost.
The AI config is unchanged, and NVG mods still work the same as before. I cannot attest to ai data tables on the maps though, as I do not have a copy of those before the updated.

Probably installing outdated mods I also wouldn’t recommend using in game mod.io and would recommend installing mods manually from nexusmods instead.

Really only addon weapons such as the colt canada BCM which come with a bunch of extra attachments there’s no mods like attachment expansion that have been updated yet.
Why does the mods in this game not work for me? I install mods in game and then I can’t launch my game until I delete the mods I installed. Any fixes?
Go to game files
specifically the /paks/
and delete any paks with 99+
then re download the mods but make sure they were updated 2024 july\
anything before 2024 is outdated and wont work
I will try this tomorrow. Thank you for the help. I usually download a mod, restart the game, it gives an error code, I go into paks and delete all the mod content, game launches but the mods won’t work so it’s very annoying
To add more specifically anything before July 23rd of this year will not work and only certain mods will work if they haven't been updated for the Dark Waters update you can refer to the list in the pinned messages of what's working from what hasn't been updated for the Dark Waters update and other than what's on that list anything else will require to have been uploaded/updated on or after December 10th of this year to work.
how do I reinsert aileveldata ini back into the game? it's not in saved>config>windows but in one of the pakchunks, 0 I'm pretty sure. I would assume I would have to repak it and label is as a mod (like pakchunk999...etc.) but I can't find anything showing how to pack .pak files and everytime I try to open unrealpak, it just refuses to open
The unofficial modding guide in the modding server has batch files you can use for that though you're required to have UE 5.3 installed for those to work.

Safe mode is a launch option for RON that starts the game without mods. Even if you have them installed.
Otherwise, someone is modded. Somehow, somewhere.
There's a checksum option in your settings. This is the setting that boots anyone who hasn't got the same files as you.

If the game crashes on start up after installing mods than those mods are outdated. The Dark Waters update broke a good chunk of mods and before that home invasion broke all mods so anything before July 23rd of this year is guaranteed not to work.

No mods what so ever will disable achievements or the ability to unlock cosmetics all it will do is make the score when completing levels say unofficial but this does nothing either.

It's usually around the same place as your home, insert, delete, page up, page down, end, etc, keys. It's possible to also be shorten to ScrLK or even not to have one if your keyboard is on the smaller size which would probably mean you don't have the other necessary keys meaning you'd probably have to go into the reshade.ini to change that.

I've forgotten how vortex works a little bit lol
the "last updated" date has to be atleast or later than december 10th at minimum. There are a few mods that might work before then, but I think most of them have been updated by now anyways. You could also be missing codependencies. Just about every single mod will require in game mod menu and item asset loader
So I uninstalled the mods I had in my mod folder and turned off every mod in vortex and it still says i cant launch it unless I do it in safe mode
I'd just manually download them nexus honestly. It's really really simple to do anyways. Just download the file, extract it from the zip folder, and place it in the pak folder. You can also set the pak folder as the destination too instead of dragging and dropping from downloads. Pak folder is C:programfiles(x86)>steam>steamapps>common>Ready Or Not>readyornot>content>paks. Reverify on steam and that should be enough. If not, browse to the saved folder and i guess delete your save game data. Yeah you'll have to start all over, but that gives you a reason to play all the levels again.
Saved folder is in the first Ready Or Not subfolder. Should have the engine subfolder and the .exe for the game itself in it too
I do do that for the ones that will not cooperate in the vortex and im fine with using both since vortex automatically downloads them into the RON stuff

RON won't let me play the game with Direct 12 or 11

ehh vortex is just too finicky personally. case in point. it's just super simple to do it manually for this game. I'd just go thermonuclear, uninstall and reinstall the whole game and any files related to the manager, stop using it, and install manually from then on. Make sure you're getting mods that are up to date too. Anything before december 10th is for sure out of date

Yea just be careful with what you're downloading mods like maps will only work if they were uploaded/updated on or after December 10th. Blood mods should be working fine but I'd recommend to get those from nexus those shouldn't be that big of a download and I would recommend grabbing visceral blood as I know that one is working.

How hard is it to make weapon mods for this game? Not like adding a weapon, but replacing the model of one with another model.
That overall depends on your ability to learn and if you have any prior experience with stuff such as blender and unreal engine.
If I have no prior experience with blender or unreal engine, but I am willing to learn, how hard would it be to replace the current m14 with a wooden one? I think there is a wooden m14 model in the game (unsure), so I could just switch the models. No?

There is no limb health, all you can do is edit amount of speed loss per leg hit in BasePlayer.uasset. As for arms it's does not even matter, arm injury debuff apply from each hit and removed every time you stop bleeding
damn. I'm trying to make my right leg unbreakable so I can kick doors down and not have to switch to my shotgun all the time. Every single time, the very first gunfight I get into, the first thing that's hit is always my right leg somehow

Oml im actually getting pissed off, everytime I put stuff cosmectic related, when I switch to another character to edit that and then switch back it defaults back to another a helmet, and when I thoroughly check everything and start a mission, the cosmectic I put on for the AI or myself one of them just switches back to default

no I'm still getting arm and leg injuries. I like the idea of the syringe though. It's actually very helpful since I'm also running max suspects mod and the mag count is nice for when I use doughnuts bcm ar mod because for some reason it doesn't accurately track the mag as you use it.

No but this was a bug that was happening to people before patch 1 for dark waters update but I'm pretty sure it was fixed with that patch and I at least haven't seen any other complaints about it since other than yours but a workaround for it was saving the changes as a preset and I would also recommend that if you finished your changes not to switch back to any of swat team.

A lot of those were probably broken by the update though there's probably only 15-20 updated ones among that.

Yea there's local and team channels. I don't remember default keybind to switch channels but it's in options - keyboard - teamwork

For the AI I use this https://www.nexusmods.com/readyornot/mods/3812, it doesn't make the game harder just by increasing stuff like accuracy or things like that, but he made the AI use the systems present in the game, like faking death, cover, flanking and all that stuff, unfortunately it doesn't affect the Swat AI yet, but you can use the standalone module from this https://www.nexusmods.com/readyornot/mods/1358, or my mod that was specifically made for mods like Red's suspect overhaul https://www.nexusmods.com/readyornot/mods/5214

hey guys i recently downloaded a few mods via vortex manager and now i wanna remove them so I can get an official score on some of the maps. Does disabling the mods on vortex do the job or are there more steps to it?

Just disable serverside checksum as the host (or tell the host to) then restart the lobby, and boom, they can join.
To be honest you are safe to install them manually which I highly recommend, and if you want the official score just delete them and try it.

Hi, i am new to the game and i went to install some mods but when i restart to use them it says corrupt data and the only thing that works is deleting the mods and cache from the data files in order to run the game again. Is there something wrong that i am doing?
The mods are most likely outdated. I would recommend not using in game mod.io and installing mods mainly from nexusmods instead and only installing mods uploaded/updated on or after December 10th.

Nah you would just have to slowly take them out until you find the culprit. I usually do this in halves.

If it's a weapon mod that hasn't been updated and is either an addon or replacer that does more than just replace a weapon than very probable. Also mods before July 23rd of this year will not work at all.

Nah mixing shouldn't be a problem usually but I wouldn't recommend using in game mod.io in general.

You can use the print screen key on your keyboard or use the search bar in your taskbar to search for snipping tool or do Shift+Windows Key+S
Voice mods get put in the VO folder. Usually voice mods will have the folders named after the folders they're replacing though it's recommended to take out/delete the files in the folder they'll be replacing as voice mods generally don't cover all voicelines and you're likely to have mix between the mod and vanilla voicelines if you don't. You can back up the voicelines and put them elsewhere if you think you'll be putting them back if not you can always verify the game files through steam to get them back.

Right so you're most likely installing outdated mods. Many mods broke from the recent update for dark waters DLC on December 10th so a lot mods only work if they were only uploaded/updated on or after December 10th of this year. sort your mods from wherever you got them by last update date, anything pre Dec 10 probably aint gonna work too well.
