Hey guys, I've been modding this game since release, has anyone else recently started experiencing significant frame rate issues? Me and one of my regular teamates have very similar mods installed and we are both experiencing this issue, which was not occouring until very recently

@tough thorn Significant mods but I just removed everything and frame rate is still tanked, it used to run at 240 fps at 1440p but is currently running between 80-120fps

Hmm. Have you tried playig with any in-game settings for more frames?

yeah but if the same hardware used to run at 240 and no settings have changed and the game hasn't been updated the only thing I can think might have an effect would be nvidia driver update

Yeah, modding can make frame rates lower overall in my experience. I don't exactly know a fix for that large frame decrease (I think I even have it). Reason why I asked is because AI mods def decrease frame rates (especially if they add a lot of ai)

but yeah, it's something odd with the game

@tough thorn I upderstand when generating more assests it will decrease frames, but this is like one day was fine next it wasn't, without changing anything in the PAK. I was more looking to find out if someone in the community has noticed an issue with a specific mod perhaps, as I have a good understanding of the game and how certain things affect game performance

So I've downloaded a couple of modded maps, some of them are bugging. One specifically. It's called "Barebones" in game. But I don't have any map file with something close to that name. Is there some way to see which map file is being run,or what the maps in-game name is?

The mod was made for an older version of the game where the swat characters had different helmets so the current helmets wouldn't be reskinned since they didn't exist back then and the shirts weren't a thing either so the mod is only gonna apply to the outfits of the long sleeve and rolled sleeve characters and will apply to the pants on the shirt characters.

I can recommend using the Vortex mod manager from Nexus! Especially when u add in the browsing plugin. Also remember to install RoN plugin ofc.

Yea I'm not interested in using it for RoN. I much prefer manual, it works best for this game atm in my opinion and it allows you to organize your mods how you want if you choose to use folders.

The ~mods is the only important part you can name the folder whatever you want the numbers on mine are just for load order. You can do it without ~mods in the name but I find when playing with a lot of mods without the ~mods in the folder name it'll make a good majority of them not run in-game.

They're technically still gonna be load ordered base on what name you choose for each folder. Overall though, I wouldn't worry about load order very few mods actually get effected by it.

The M24 is a hidden gun in-game, it is in the code, but only mods can unlock it. So it can easily be added by any mod and if you had a mod that added it before, and still have it equipped, swapping off should make it unusable again

Your problem doesn't look like a mod problem at least in terms of conflict so only thing I could say on that front is maybe try to have them manually installed instead. Aside from that I can only say remove the gunfighter device file to be rid of the nades for yourself.

Maybe but in my experience there wasn't any crashing when host didn't have the mods but it's been awhile since I played a match where the host didn't have gunfighter.

So even if there aren't any resources that cover it you should be able to ask actual mappers about it.

Well if it's being caused by a mod then it's as simple as removing that mod. You just have to find which one it is, so if you haven't got a clue you'll need to remove them one by one until the game launches without crashing or stopping. I would recommend starting with your most recently downloaded mods if you have any clues of what those are.

It isn't always effective but regardless as long as you download your mods manually from nexusmods or the mod.io website(Not in-game) it's as simple as deleting the added mods from your paks folder if you no longer want them no need to use the clean mod data option that is most often used for the in-game mod.io mods not working.

The third launch option to remove mods will remove all mods (except for sound mods and bodycam reshade), but will also reset your saves like scores and loadouts

Listen to @calm lynx install mods manually no matter what. Download the pak file from either nexus or modio. Nexus is better overall. And drop it right in your paks folder. The in game modio manager is unstable and fails to load mods in properly.

And I think that's because it's hard to change civilian appearance

modifying vanilla levels is a whole new ballpark that really hasn't been explored.

It's more likely in relation to sights than the gun and I can't really be sure of what mod but you can post a screenshot of your paks folder

Aside from that you'd have to gradually take them out and test till you find the culprit.

That issue is a common issue with broken weapon mods

Probably a combination of gunfighter and trex's optic try setting gunfighter higher in the load order.

Well it's probably an outdated mod than like sinner said remove the unity T2 and anything else sight or gun related dated 2022.

Also word of advice your game's AI is gonna end up being very wacky with multiple different AI mods from those modded maps in there. Referring to the hostel services and neptune spear files.

Yes, if it crashes or doesn't work, you are either downloading an outdated mod or missing a required mod

mod.io mods i downloaded from the game aren't working, anyone know the reason why?

i downloaded a voice pack, weapon mod, maps, dismemberment mod and a menu mod but none of them except for the maps work

Yea mod.io is broken and fails to deploy most mods I recommend unsubscribing from them and downloading them manually from either nexusmods or mod.io website. Maps are fine to keep.

The in-game launcher is buggy outside of maps, if you are having issues with manually installing, you are either downloading outdated/broken mods or installing incorrectly

I'm a programmer and part time EMT and I was thinking about trying to create an EMS mod for ready or not but I understand modding this game can be difficult and I wanted to ask if it's even possible to add the features I'd like, since a lot of the modding guides are for textures/models/other superficial modifications

is it possible to add custom NPC interactions, animations, and actor data (ie. taking vitals, CPR, splints, tourniquets, blood pressure, SpO2, etc.) to ready or not as a mod or is that a lost cause?
