Yea tested myself in a clean mod folder it's definitely a bug with the mod not anything else.

Btw you only need one of the sniper or not pak files recoil is just an alternate version.

hey guys very new to RoN modding, when I log into the game, and go into the mod.io page, everytime I have to log in, and then it starts redownloading the mods I subscribe to, tells me to restart the game, which I did, and then it's all over again, files were verified, game reinstalled, mod.io data deleted save data/mods also cleaned, what do?

Yea mod.io sometimes doesn't wanna fully delete all data. Try checking here: C:\Users(USER)\AppData\Local\ReadyOrNot\Saved\Paks\mod.io if it exist delete the paks inside. And if you download mods in the future make sure it's through nexusmods or mod.io website the in game mod.io is broken and fails to deploy most mods.

Afaik you just have to subscribe on mod.io online and then it deploys in-game when I launch the game? How does that work exactly

If you download them using the website you'll be manually installing them meaning you'll extract the archived file using 7zip or winrar and placing it in your paks folder.

Overall I recommend using nexus for this but mod.io is better for bigger files like modded maps since it doesn't cap the download speed.

Best you get is the option to look at your teams cams

there's also a freelook, but you cant turn your head 180 degrees obviously

Yea it's a common issue with mods that replace audio files in the FMOD folder. Unfortunately there's no fix or work around you sacrifice some gun sounds when modifying .bank files and the only way to fix this is delete the modified file and verify your game or if you backed up the original just place it back.

Nah modder's haven't had much success with modding weapon sounds for the game but there is a subsonic sounds mod for a few guns from Jug's gameplay review.

Reshade doesn't have that capability and has it stands right now it's not possible to make one like that into ready or not. If you do videos it's possible to edit this into them but nothing modded in real time.

Also find your PAK folder for ready or not. Easiest way is to go to steam and find your local folder for RoN. You’ll find the pack folder in there. Then all you gotta do when you download a mod folder is extract it, and drop the pakchunk99 file into the paks folder

The only mod on mod io that’s worth grabbing is ingame menu. Instructions aren’t clear; to use it in an actual match you double tap M. Some people complained it didn’t work in a match but that’s not the case. The instructions just tell you the wrong key.

In terms of AI I use Jug’s currently and haven’t switched for some time

I think Swat and Suspect AI Overhaul does something annoying with the morale, like make it take much more shouting to get a stunned suspect to surrender on some maps which is just annoying

It's pretty simple for voice mods just have to put the audio in the .wav format and name it exactly the same as the voice file you're replacing. They're located here: \Steam\steamapps\common\Ready Or Not\ReadyOrNot\Content\VO

Step 3: mod the game and become well respected in the community over a decade
Step 3 (b): while modding the game take a free graphics design semester at high school
Step 4: Acquire Adobe CS6 before they require subscriptions and totally screw everything up
Step 5: Become god at game texturing

I had some issues because I wasn’t placing files directly into PAK folder. Instead I was using the pak/mods folder, which caused many of them not to load. Didn’t have this issue with AI mods and maps but once I got rid of all the sub folders and used PAK folder only everything worked. However a lot of gun skins etc caused my game to crash constantly so I stopped using them. Couldn’t figure out what mod was breaking the game so I just stopped using skins altogether

Well this is really more a #💻tech-support question. I will say these two things though; the game isn't very well optimized and I've heard that setting your texture quality below high actually effects your performance rather than improves it.

You could always temporarily take them out of your paks folder to test if it improves your performance. It's not impossible for mods to tank performance but I run over like 90 of them and I'm just fine.

For the colors, you just can do it via the loadout room, on your left when you are entering it.

For the mods, you can find them on Nexus as always and put them into paks section. There are a lot of models you can see, for example MTFs uniform such as Eps6 or Beta7.

Also, Supporter edition have a special HRT clothes if you ever want to support the game.

SWAT and Suspect AI Overhaul does annoying things to the morale system. For example, on Hotel it takes a stupid amount of compliance shouting or bashing to get a suspect to surrender after you’ve stunned them with a grenade or some other means. I get what they’re trying to do, but the game is so limited in that area that it just ends up feeling dumb because all you and your team of four guys can do is stand there spamming the shout key as fast as you can.

Here I Come is a lot more adjustable in terms of the suspect AI, you can basically pick and choose what you want, especially if you have the pack itself saved somewhere on your computer.

The one I keep going back to is Jug’s stand-alone AI mod. In essence, it’s the vanilla ai, made better. Though there is also a case for mods that increase suspect count, as simply increasing the amount of suspects can make the game more fun outright as well.

So finding the last suspect/civ on a map is boring, yes I know it's realistic, but it's boring. Is there a mod that lets me "ping" the last suspect or otherwise cut out that last 10 minutes of searching?

No lol, best you can do is find a working mod that lowers the amount of civs. I have a map installed that does it automatically (it raises suspect count to max for the map and minimizes civilians. For example there could be 18 suspects, but only 4 civilians.

1. Never, ever install from the ingame mod menu. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. Don’t trust it.
2. Use Mod.io for maps, but don’t ever subscribe to them if your account is linked to the ingame menu.
3. Download all other mods from nexus. The only drawback is that nexus download speed is limited to 1.5 Mb/s for free users.

There are a few mods that do that, though keep in mind that mods that alter the ai are not compatible with one another unless stated otherwise, meaning a mod affecting the suspect ai will likely not function with a mod affecting the swat ai, unfortunately.

There’s also not much modders can do to improve the swat ai at this point in time, all you can really do is buff their engagement stats like reducing time it takes for them to acquire targets, increase vision cone, etc

“Vigilant Swat Ai” is the swat ai mod I recommend, it makes them a lot better at combat, essentially making them aim-botty, but as I said it’s not gonna work alongside mods that affect suspects ai.

As for that, no, that’s just an issue with the game

Some areas of maps are not traversable for the bots, and commands are hit or miss depending on bugged-factors that are difficult to observe during play

So question I have a 3060 and a Ryzen 5 5600X with 32 GBs of RAM. I run the game on medium settings and get 144 frames usually. Now on some maps I get drops to like 40-50, and I sometimes randomly crash, I wont even have a stutter or frame drop and Ill just crash. Now most of the mods I have are cosmetic/custom maps. I only have gunfighter and a AI mod that affects gameplay. Ive done a fresh wipe of the mods and files and I seemed to be the exact same. Now maybe you guys know something I dont. Ive asked around and people say there is no need for a CPU upgrade. Any feedback tips would help. Thank you in advanced.

I see you have a dismemberment mod and the author of that very mod has made mention before that it can cause instability and crashing due to the dismemberment's unfinished state you can read that message here: #🔧modding-chat message

Other than that it's possible for AI mods to cause this but usually when it's an AI mod that adds in a shit ton more suspects/civis it can also be possible that your ragdoll mod could also cause crashing.

Thanks for the feedback. The dismemberment mod doesnt do much anyway Ive noticed recenlty so I'll remove that, and the AI mod I have just adds a few and affects the behaviors. So I think it could be the dismemberment mod. I also should add I only have issues mainly when Im with friends or in a Co-op session. Solo I have zero issues crashing wise. The frame drops still occur sometimes.

It is something to note that this game isn't very well optimized so getting frame drops can be related to that also the dismemberment mod would probably do more if gunfighter wasn't conflicting with it regardless it's probably best to remove it.

If it's installed properly they'll usually appear on the bottom right of the mission selection board. Vortex can be iffy when it comes to modding RoN it's highly recommended to download your mods manually.
