If they wanted to, an alternative would’ve been A rank for all officers and civilians uninjured and no breaches of ROE, and then give “commendations” at the end screen for stuff like all suspects taken alive, all evidence secured, etc. Might have helped some players see these as optional rather than feeling “penalized” for not going full nonlethal. But given the system Void’s set up, probably too late for that

Look at the pellet spread when the target was shot with several shells at around 6-8 feet

^ this is a picture of 2 shotguns, the lower shotgun which is a Remington 870 has a cylinder bore (no choke) while the shotgun above (Browning 500) has a full choke

^ both targets were shot at 15 yards away
the target on the left was shot with the Remington 870

the choke does create a noticeable difference between the two but furthermore, they both are well within the radius of the target
