I seriously doubt this is the game's fault, there is nothing about this in known issues, if you bought the normal version, then you do not have beta version access, so it is impossible for steam to download that old library version.

When you open the game's properties in your steam library and head over to "Betas", you have "None" set, right? There should be no betas for the normal game version anyways

Go into steam, on top left corner there is "help", click "Steam Support", and in recent products you should see Ready or Not, click whatever option you are experiencing and you should see "Refund" as one of the options

Hello, i have mid range pc 4060/r5 7600/32gb and game start crushing like hell.

No matter if i play with mods or vanilla, dirx11,12,save mode, host and join to other. i even unistal Vortex and delete all mods from game dir and mod settings file from %appdata%. game just keep closing in middle run to desktop without any pop up with error msg. If you had a custom outfit or weapon mod active prior to your removal of those mods, there is a chance that if it was an "addon" weapon or outfit, it just gives the game a nice error and crashes. In that case you need to start another commander save file and delete them manually

Mods are in your "Paks" folder, in the scenario of mods.io, you have to load into the main menu and cleare the cache/mods through the in-game settings, beware that sometimes when you are using mods you might create "mods" folder in your "paks" folder, the mods might contradict each other if you have two of them in separate folders or some older versions

Hey folks, just recently I've been experiencing a problem with the game's performance- I mean, I used to run the game really well (50fps barely any stuttering both in interiors and exteriors - Medium and Low) but now, it's just a massive drop. I didn't mention but in all honesty, my laptop actually is facing a hardware issue which causes stutters but maintains a smooth and stable fps whenever, this applies to all games. In RoN though, by the specs of my laptop I'd say as best as it can reach is 50 or near 50 at least in interiors? (All low, 1360x768 resolution, with V-sync)

Intel Core i7-8550U, Geforce MX150, and 32GB Ram. Not really High-end but hey, it runs good enough

RoN requires a dedicated GPU, not integrated. Which means you will experience issues with FPS. Plus I think your laptop is not good enough for Ready Or Not

Anyone elses outfit customisation menu causing their game to freeze then crash? I have saved presets, the moment I hover over ANY preset, the game freezes for about 2 mins then crashes. I found a "fix" on reddit from about 2 and a half weeks ago which was to reset all presets. Did that, still the same issue. No mods, Intel i7-13700F, Nvidia 4060, 16GBs of RAM, on an SSD, I do not want to reinstall the game as it could take me 4 or 5 hours to reinstall (yay, Australian wifi is shit)

If those presets contained outfits or gear that was an addon, it could cause your game to go haywire. If you create a new preset and it does not crash the game, then I would advise deleting all of the other presets.

Hello, so pre update i had the gunfighter mod installed. before starting the game with the new update i cleared all mods. Now 7 Slots are stuck with Ninebangs, for which the mod isn't even installed anymore and only 6 of the 12 or 13 riffles is avaliable and also many other weapons are somehow not there. Hope someone can help.

If you are missing weapons which is weird, I know gunfighter has that issue if you want the new weapons (launchers, MKV etc.), you have to launch the game in safe mode -> singlepalyer -> quick play -> loadout -> click through every single weapon (so you can see attachment selection) -> exit game -> launch game normally

This also goes for long tacticals if you are missing, as well as NVG's

Gunfighter can cause this, don't worry though, the fix is quite simple. Start the game -> choose safe mode -> singleplayer -> quick play -> go to a loadout selection -> click through every gun, long tactical, NVGs so it says equipped -> close the game -> start the game normally (now with or without gunfighter you will see every gun)

And peer 2 peer is one thing, it is not somehow changed in this game. It is the same as you hosting a minecraft server via a LAN, creating a p2p, other older games that do not have servers and again, require you to use hamachi or radmin to host it as LAN creating another p2p connection.

I am not entirely sure if quick play gives you a saved loadout. Try to start a completely new commander save and delete your loadout presets. If you had custom outfits or weapons or other things, it could be the reason behind your crash.

guys I have downloaded some mods for the game and after inserting the mods I opened the game every time after inserting each of the mods to check if the mod is going to crash my game or not.

I use Dx11 when I run the game from steam and it opens to the main menu.
As soon as I join a lobby (Single P/Multi P) I got a notification saying "Corrupt data found, verify your installation".
I tried running RoN through \SteamApps\Common\Ready Or Not\ReadyOrNot\Binaries\Win64 but it doesnt launch and a notification pops up saying the same as the Error info above.

Uninstalling/reinstalling the game does not remove mods, because Steam and Epic games to my knowledge both uninstall only the game files it installed, and not anything you added yourself to that folder. So please check if you have any mods that should not be there, this could be mod.io, vortex, mods, or paks inside your paks folder (only pakchunks up to number 22 are the vanilla ones)

I am not entirely sure why that is a thing, a lot of people seem to be experiencing that issue. I only know that this fixes it. If you run into problems or want to trigger a specific DirectX or safe mode, it should work by adding a launch argument there.

Not entirely true, it is honestly mixed and this goes for a lot of games. Try both and see which runs better. This has also been here since the start of RoN. On some systems that are modern and high end, DX11 actually ran better. On some older DX12 ran better. There is no definitive answer as to what you are supposed to use other than that DX11 has discontinued development.

So, the cause for your crash and crashing of your friends is that, you either use outdated mods from mod.io, you use Vortex with old mods, and Vortex generally causes issues from what others reported, or you manually downloaded mods (Nexusmods). Remember that verifying files, or reinstalling the game does not remove mods. So in case you want mods, you have to figure out what you installed and where that causes your crashing.

Mod.io files generally redownload unless you unsubscribe from them inside the workshop.

Hi, very relatively new to ready or not. I’ve tried to access multiplayer and it’s barely working.

I cannot find any games, anywhere, it just says no games found despite having it set to worldwide. I cannot setup a multiplayer lobby myself as I get an error saying could not connect to epic game services or something along those lines. It is not that there should be a problem with them specifically, but if you just installed them in your computer and they have their drives, such as GPU, you can have old GPU driver fighting with the new one and that can screw over your PC in practically every game, ranging from crashing to significantly reduced performance

Not saying it is 100% the cause of your crashing, but it could very well be that. It is known that you have drivers that will start fighting with each other when this happens if improperly uninstalled.

So practically. You can have Intel and AMD drivers fighting each other, GPU drivers fighting each other, you can have DDR4 remains in your PC from some form of settings that can also do wonders with your new DDR5 due to bios. And generally chipset conflicts between Intel and AMD CPU's

It is kind of recommended to do a fresh PC install when undergoing a major part changes in your PC, again not saying this 100% is the reason for your crashing, but could play a major role in it. In any case I have no idea how to work with CPU drivers, if it is even possible and I have no idea how safe it is. I only know that DDU works with GPU drivers.

Well it is not the same, you have a completely different versions of the drivers because you have a completely different GPU, however those GPU drivers can very well be both active and fighting each other

It should not cause issues considering a game is not connected to your drivers. Keep in mind you might lose local saves that are saved on those games, and that majority of games saves some form of setting on your system drive which you have to completely wipe.

That means it's what Arc said, you have had mods in the past and your loadouts are broken, meaning they are addon and have something that is not in the base game, which in turn bricks your game. However that PC reinstall is not exactly wrong either, you could have faced issues down the line with other games

Well I am sorry, but if a new commander save works for you, it means that you had something in your loadout not pertaining to the base game, aka mods.

Otherwise a new save would still crash your game.

I have no other explanation as to why this would work otherwise.

So simply go into your loadout selection, if you have any loadouts then delete them, try to load into your normal save. If that doesn't work then I am afraid that whatever you had in your inventory that crashes it is simply unfixable or something and you have to continue with a clean save.

a way to check that it is working is to yell for compliance. see if the gun still shakes. i believe the mod is working and maybe you don't notice it

Equip a secondary pistol, are you holding it slightly tilted to the side or straight just like any weapon or what Zepla said

if the mod is working, you will see your movement speed is increased, the gun is held at a different angle, and the yell for compliance will no long shake your weapon around. also you will have more slots in your vest to carry ammo and tacticals

so for my problem with instant crashing after trying to load quick play or multiplayer, what helped was reinstalling again, but this time making sure, that nothing remains of the folder (i think that happend the first time). Now i actually load in the lobby

The only thing that remains in those folders are files not pertaining to the game's installation. Meaning you had some mods there

im not sure about this, but the old inatallation was corrupted somehow. You need to remember that i did not install mods, the folder was empty before and still is, i also never logged in the mod menu ingame till now to see if smths there

It is unlikely to be a bug all of a sudden, this is associated with mods such as gunfighter. Go into #🔧modding-chat, and do what the latest pinned message says by Eman, that should fix the missing guns

I was playing ready or not on my xbox Series X and I had a riot shield equipped and had a suspect shoot me W a shotgun and his whole round reflected off my shield and it started to lag and completely shut off my xbox and I got a block ventilation prompt from my xbox

sorry if it's a question that you get a lot, but having installed the game for the first timeon my laptop , i found that the ready or not screen would pop up momentarily before closing, all the while the app didn't even pop up in the taskbar. yes and in indsight its potentially due to my wifi which is sort of broken at the moment so my guess is that the anti cheat needs internet for the first time loaunching, isn;t finding it and then closing the game automantically

The game requests you to allow it through your firewall and to your private connection, yes. But those happen when you launch the game and see the Void loading screen generally

Yet here you are asking about the game and not the CPU overhead the polling rate has (hello there HW interrupts)
Over 1kHz is a placebo meme that's only causing troubles.

Now if it can't handle 1kHz that's a problem, likely still somewhere in your PC.
