Hello! My gf and I are on the same network, we try to join my brother on a different network but nothing happens. It does not matter who hosts, but when any of us try to join either through the steam overlay, the profile picture in the menu, or through an invite the game will just do nothing at all, no message or anything as if nothing was clicked. I have played with my brother a long while ago so I know it works.

I can try to help u more if u want, have u really tried port forwarding ur router tho cus that usually takes like 5-10 min. I would try, have nothing open besides steam, disabling ur firewall, and then launch the game and see if it works. if it does work ur firewall is blocking game traffic. If it doesn't try letting ur brother host and join him. If that fails ur system can't make P2P connections. So that's where port forwarding comes in. If either of those don't work id refund the game because the last method I could explain but without networking experience it will sound like im speaking French //

And just so you know why u can play games w them and it's specific games that dont work is cus games like Fortnite, apex, csgo use servers for matchmaking where RoN uses P2P connections when making private lobbies instead of a server

This is a problem when using integrated graphics on ready or not. If you can't use anything other than integrated graphics, then the only thing that can fix it is putting your shadows on high or extreme in game. If that doesn't work, then there's no fixing it.

Hi, for months now I have been experiencing this problem where any time I enter a loading screen the game will crash, sometimes it's on startup sometimes it's loading into the HQ and sometimes it's when loading in or out of a mission. I have had my PC since November last year, and I am anything but technically knowledgeable so please be patient with me.

my pc specs are: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER (my drivers are all up to date), 32GB of RAM and my processor is an Intel(R) Core (TM) i7-14700KF

I have tried everything from clearing any and all mod data, I said goodbye to my save data in case that was the issue, i cleared out any file even relating to Ready or Not and then installed it fresh, I really do not have any idea what the issue is, can someone please help me? I love this game and really want to play it without any issues.

I've got an issue. At first RoN was running at 120-150fps on max settings (no dlss or frame generation) few days later the number dropped suddenly to less than 100, then 60, and now it is stuck at around 30fps (i've only kept textures at Epic, rest at high). ReadyOrNot has two exe's which the 2nd is more important than the first so that's probably why it didn't work. I'm guessing you only did the one here: Steam\steamapps\common\Ready Or Not the other one is here: Steam\steamapps\common\Ready Or Not\ReadyOrNot\Binaries\Win64

If that method continues not to work try:

yes i added both readyornot.exe and readyornot-win64-shipping.exe to the windows settings and the nvidia control panel and forced it to use my GTX 1060. If it helps, my gaming laptop that im currently using is plugged into a seperate monitor which im using to play the game, if that affects the xml file showing that its using "intel uhd graphics 630"

If you're not using your IGPU for anything important than try disabling your IGPU by opening:

Device Manager 👉 going to Display adapters 👉 Right-click your IGPU and select Disable device.

Aside from that I ain't got any further ideas so if that doesn't work I suggest you create a post in: #1265712033295372473 so your problem doesn't get buried here and make sure to state your problem clearly, upload the latest crash xml, and list all the troubleshooting methods you've done so far. Hopefully someone who knows more can help fix it.

This is specific to Unreal Engine really, and like I have explained, in laptops the primary may not be the chosen one.

You can check which one is used through looking at the metrics like utilization, power draw and so on.

Last night I started the game for the first time in a while to find the game would crash on startup. I was able to fix the issue and actually start the game after referencing this reddit post: https://www.reddit.com/r/techsupport/comments/1ifbyci/ready_or_not_crashes_on_launch_tried_all_the_fixes/
and deleting the mentioned file.

Once I got the game to start, I reached the main menu and was met with what appears to be a red overlay (image attached below). I once again took to the internet and found that other users that experienced a similar issue were able to fix it by disabling HDR, but I have no HDR capable monitors and there are not any HDR settings on my PC I am able to change. I verified the game's files, I reinstalled the game, and despite all of that the red overlay persists. Ready or Not is the only game where this issue occurs, and strangely enough if I Alt+Tab the game looks normal until I Tab back in. I do not have any programs that would overlay a game like this (i.e Nvidia Overlay, Steam, Discord, or others). I have any features regarding an overlay from programs like those disabled completely, and I have never used ReShade. I reached out to reddit for this issue as well but it seems that even the community is at a loss hence why I am reaching out to you guys here.

I will provide my system specs below, as well as an image of the problem. Note that the image is a screenshot proving that it is not my monitor and is something specific to the game.

I understand that you have no HDR capabilities but it's my understanding the windows HDR feature can be enabled regardless if you have it or not so have you actually made sure that's disabled? it would be located in your windows settings > System > Display > HDR or you could just search for HDR settings.

Also if you have DLSS enabled in game, disable it.

The HDR option is completely off in my windows settings and there is no option to toggle it. Secondly I do have DLSS enabled as well as Frame Gen. Turning those off made no difference to the red overlay issue. Addtl. It only occurs in DX12 and like I said it looks normal if I Alt-Tab for some reason but immediately comes back. No filters/overlays like I mentioned before. Any other ideas?

• Reshade truly wasn't ever installed
• All 3rd-Party overlays are truly disabled.
• Monitor & windows HDR are truly disabled.
• DLSS & Frame gen are truly disabled.

Then all known troubleshooting methods to fix this sort of issue have been done to my knowledge and I have no further ideas.

I would suggest you make a post in #1265712033295372473 so your problem doesn't get lost and hopefully someone else can help. Make sure to list all troubleshooting methods you've taken thus far.

Now I've booted the game twice, and the issue persists
Scroll wheel will scroll through menus, I can bind controls to it, but the moment I unpause it just doesn't work
The worst part is that I can't find any resources online pertaining to this issue
Because either people's scroll wheel doesn't work at all, or it's their mouse buttons, or it's that one idiot trying to get next/prev weapon in ready or not

And to be clear, it is not a hardware issue. The scroll wheel works fine in browsers, other games, and even in the in-game menu in Ready or Not without any issues whatsoever. It is specifically and exclusively that the mouse wheel controls aren't read in-game in Ready or Not.

Nevermind, I found the problem. In Windows, there's a setting "Scroll inactive windows when I hover over them"
I keep this setting off for some reason (another issue I had so long ago I forgot what it was)
Turns out turning this setting back on fixed the issue, so RoN is doing some funky shit when it's in focus

Why so I have this issue with my game. I haven't played ready or not for maybe a week, I had roughly 90ish mods installed and when I booted up the game it crashed, I did install some new mods so I deleted them and ran it again, it still didn't start. I deleted all the mods from the pak folder leaving the stuff that should be there in there and it still didn't start. It's a GPU crash. Make sure your drivers are up to date the file shows your driver date as: 11-11-2024. You should have the nvidia app on your pc if not I suggest you download it and get the latest gaming driver.

It's a GPU crash.

You may be running the game on integrated GPU instead of dedicated GPU.

You can try seeing if this fixes it:

If the reset to default button isn't working in game for them than they can go to: %localappdata%\ReadyOrNot\Saved\Config\Windows and firstly check to see if the Windows folder and/or the input.ini file has read only enabled in properties, if it does it needs to be disabled, if not I suggest just deleting the input.ini file and this should hopefully reset the keybinds in game.

It was just to give you a general idea of where to go because Idk if your game is installed to the same location as mine but since that didn't work here's how you can get to the file by going to steam > right clicking the game > selecting Manage than Browse local files > Inside the folder that opens you'll go to > ReadyOrNot > Binaries > Win64 and there is where you'll find the file if not than I suggest you verify your game files.

I used to play ready or not maybe a year ago or longer reinstalled today and when I start the game up I get a currupt files error before the game closes, I looked it up on the internet and most of the "solutions" have to do with mods but whenever I go into the ready or not game files into content - paks - mod.io - 3791 I don't even have a mods folder only cache and meta data, I will provide screenshots of my 3791 folder and my paks folder below any advice would be greatly appreciated

Disable any overlay or 3rd party app or mod that may interfere with rendering.

And if it's not that you might want to look into CPU and system memory stability.

How do I restore a saved game file? I needed to repair the installation, which wiped out my saved game. When I tried restoring the back-up to the Saved/SavedGames directory, the game doesn't recognize it, as there's not "Continue" option in the main menu.

Are you absolutely sure your gameplay, UI, sound, etc. settings are retained ? Specifically not talking about keybinds here (since those live in Input.ini file).
Did you at any point have Steam Cloud enabled for Ready Or Not ?
Did you at any point try to use GeForce Experience / Nvidia App game optimizer ? (Optimized settings, or however Nvidia calls it now)

Hey guys, hope your having an amazing day! I love ready or not! Got my best friend to play it and we were having a blast... that was until i felt that my gun shot placement felt a little off, so i took it to the gun range. Every time i fire my weapon, the bullet hits too low on the target. I tried EVERY OTHER WEAPON, and all of them were way off. If you look at where the laser is pointed for your hipfire shot placement, its also way off. I was just wondering if anyone else has recognized this problem yet, or if there was a patch i may have missed preventing this... but its not just like this for me, my friend has the exact same issue, and ive seen people all over youtube where their games look like this but they dont seem to notice/care. It doesnt matter what gun or what scope im using, the reticle is just place way higher than the shot placement. I URGE EVERYONE TO CHECK YOUR OWN GAME, its been like this for over a mointh now and even my friends brother has the same issue hes experiencing. It just takes time to get used to the game

If you play single player, try to put in the effort in squad control

In Vanilla game you can clear 95% of missions from the backseat, your bots will shred everything

You just have to be proactive about using them

Check rooms with mirror, if the door is camped order to breach with c2, other wise send your bots to clear and stick close to them

Order them to move to have them advance Abit and cover a dangerous angle

Don't rush, in unmodded game suspects are very passive

Whenever in doubt about some sketchy area - throw gas that way

Oh and love your wedges. Wedge as many doors you're not gonna clear in the next minute, as possible. Most missions are a cakewalk if start by blocking every exit from the outsice

Usually in such an instance it wouldn't generate the usual crash log, though you may still try to see if it's there in %LOCALAPPDATA%/ReadyOrNot/Saved/Crashes/

hello. i've been getting stuck on 100% loading screen on certain multiplayer missions, specifically, brisa cove and 3 letter triad. my friend hosts our sessions and he would get stuck in the countdown, but when i force close my game (alt-F4), his game proceeds with the countdown and he'll successfully spawn in the map. our games have identical mods installed.

additionally, when i host the session for the mentioned missions, our games would load and we spawn normally.

Correct me if I misunderstood:

• The game won't load you guys in if your friend is the host
• Everything works fine if **you **are the host and he's the guest

Is there any reason why you are not the host all the time then ?
Is there more people involved in that session ? If so, do they all load in correctly ? If you didn't test, do you have somebody else that could try to join them ?

Consider that resolving network issues is quite an involved process and may not be even resolvable in the end.

it's just the two of us playing. my friend is in the US west coast and i'm in asia and he's very particular about the ping difference. me personally, i don't mind having minimal delay. unfortunately, we don't have other people to play with right now to further test this.

This complicates things quite a lot and it'd be better if you get somebody in asia to try to connect to them to see if it is even possible. Might just be the added latency, might be their PC, network, etc. not being able to handle it, and so on.

That's the wrong folder and no you don't need to use Run command.
%LOCALAPPDATA% is an environmental variable in windows, you should be able to copypaste that into file explorer path and it will find fullpath for it just like that.

If Safe Mode works without any issues on your side while the default option does not run due to crashes, it means you have broken mods.

There might also be an old game file as the developers did re-packaged it several times.

Safe Mode will work just fine but will prevent you from ever using any mods in the future, so it's best if you remove whichever old PAK file is still in your RoN directory.

I saw there is a bug where i can't arrest suspects or civilians sometimes and most of the time it happens when they are dead/downed , is there a mod or a temporary fix for it

I mean it's a known issue for it to happen when they're alive and compliant haven't heard of there really being any problems when they're dead or incapacitated but as long as they're reported it doesn't really matter if you can't arrest them while they're dead or incapacitated as long as they're not faking it. You don't need to cuff downed bodies it's really just for security due to the fact they can play dead.

I've found that knocking them down while using this mod helps with fixing them not being arrestable while compliant though: https://www.nexusmods.com/readyornot/mods/4958 you will get unauthorized use of force for it though if they're compliant.

Hi,
I played the Hospital Map now to get the T-Shirt. But all the Time when someone shoots at me my Game laggs (5 FPS or lower) for 5 Seconds. This means that at this time they shoot at me and i cant get cover. In 30% they Kill me Instant or i get Bleedings.
This begun when i Resetted my Game Progress and Reinstalled the Game. Before there wasnt this Problem and everything was lag-free
How can i fix this?

Maybe try updating your drivers. That fixed crashing for me in the past.

Or get rid of those pesky overlays.

Host has to open the pause menu and go into the lobby manager in there should be a ban/blocked list that they should be able to remove you from.
