Bit of a weird one; I'd played 4 hours of the game, closed it down for a bit, then come back and clicked "Continue". It had deleted my normal commander mode save and replaced it with an Iron Man save at the very start. Now whenever I try to create a new save, despite Iron Man saying disabled, it just creates another Iron Man save. Fresh install, first time running (or even playing the game) today, never used mods and file integrity all validated correctly. Not had any crashes or corrupt data warnings. Don't use Norton and no anti-virus flags on anything else. Any ideas? Guessing just re-install at this point?

I think you're confused you were likely playing quick play single player mode and not commander.

It was definitely commander. I played through several missions for the first time. I just tried quick play and it said it only lets you play levels that's you've previously unlocked in commander.

So, I have a commander001.save from earlier on Steam Cloud. Doesn't help me since the save was overwritten but it also said Commander Mode on the loading in screen. Also had to create a save file when I first played where the toggle for iron man mode is etc. Safe to say I'm extremely confused but if you're saying restart isn't meant to be there in normal commander mode then I'll replay the game and see what happens. Clicking continue does not always take you to commander, or the save file you last played in commander. If you have a restart button at all, it is not in commander mode.

If you wish to play commander, choose it specifically then the save file you want to play. Iron man must be manually turned on when you initally make the file, it never automatically does it.

I think the confusion for me and Iron Man mode is that I'd clicked commander, made a new save and played straight off that when it was in fact Quick Play for whatever reason (Loading screen had Commander Mode in red text when you're in the van). So my impression of what each mode is was skewed. Then when I reloaded the game and clicked continue, it must have gone into the commander mode. I'll chalk it up to an "Idiot between chair and keyboard" error as I can't explain how otherwise xD

There isn't a way to change the characters of your SWAT AI through quick play. Unless there some alternative by a mod OR I have to change something within the game files themselves

I'm currently dealing with a problem I haven't been able to find a single thread on or discussion, I have lag in Ready or Not, but only when I "free lean". The game will instantly drop from 120 - 200 fps to 10 - 20 fps, the sudden dip makes it impossible to play.

I'm using Windows 11 with an i9-13900ks, rtx 4090, 64gb DDR5 ram, and on a 4TB WD SN850X SSD. I'm using the microcode CPU updates and I don't have degradation or strange problems with any other game. The graphics drivers are updated to the most recent updates.

I've gone through every menu option, even setting graphics to the lowest possible settings and it has made no difference, the lag spike suddenly happens when using free lean

Hi there, I currently have an issue with the game, on any map, where the screen flickers a lot, as if it is a graphical issue, but I am not sure.

The rig I have is as follows;
Ryzen 5 7600
32GB DDR5 RAM
M.2 for Boot and M.2 for Games drive
Intel Arc B580 from Asrock

I used to have an NVIDIA 4060 and the flickering was caused by DLSS, so disabling that resolved the issue, but DLSS not work with Intel Arc.

I have tried all sorts of graphics changes and even resorted to rebuilding the PC, but to no avail.

I assume the issue is the fact that Intel Arc (XESS) is not an option on the drop down in graphics settings therefore is not officially supported, but just wanted some clarification.

I had this too after installing mods in-game. Idk if this is a general bug, but at least it happened to me. Go to the game files:
...Ready Or Not\ReadyOrNot\Content\Paks\mod.io
Then click on the folder in there, and delete everything in the "mods" folder, and to prevent it from happening again, delete the state.json file in "metadata" as well. This fixed it for me

I have a problem with this game, I don't know how long I have been having this problem, but when I recently wanted to go back to playing this game, I get an error: "error writing to disk - [...]\Ready or not\Ready or not\binaries \Win69\Ready or not-win64-shipping.exe. when I ask for file synchronization I get either "all of 0 files have been checked correctly" or "all of 167 files have been checked." checked correctly". I have a Logitech G502 mouse and for 99% of games I play, I am able to use the extra buttons on my mouse that I have mapped to the F13, F14, F15, F16, and F17 keys. This game doesn't seem to have support for F13-F24 keys and so I am unable to set/rebind hotkeys for this game to my extra mouse buttons. Is it possible for the F13-F24 keys to get support?

Okay, for future reference to anyone, I figured it out, I didn't have to uninstall the mod. Open up your SMM, go to Tappy, then Doors, then change the keybind for "Door Push/Pull Input Key" to anything.

Dude no joke like literally no joke i have done so many things just to get the game to run good yet all that happens is fps drops i have updated my bios and then i updated my windows and the also updated my gpu drivers i have even messed with the graphics settings of the game just to try to stop it from having fps drops i even ran task manager and set the game to highest priority i have tried dx11 and dx12 and even ran in safe mode literally have tried all in game settings just to get it going but all i get is crazy inconsistent fps drops ill go from like 90 fps to like 30 fps in seconds and its crazy i haven spent like around 5 hours just trying to get it running correctly and nothing will work ive just come to the conclusion that the game isn’t optimized or is there anymore tips or help yall can give me because i have even tried veryfying game file and also moving the game from ssd to hard drive and nothing will work.

Hi, I've met a strange bug, that every time I went into the Department lobby, I cant control my character and the red game cursor just floats on the screen. Every time i clicked mouse left, the screen went dark for a sec. Such issue would last for several minutes and I don't know why. If I press ESC mid game such bug would be present again.
I've played under safe mode so no mods, I don't know if it's related to resolution or fullscreen settings.

ok I'm not having a RoN problem per se. My X just does not work at all and is being registered as both control keys at the same time. Being able to type it forces me to pull up the on-screen keyboard. I have no idea how to go about solving what's causing it and I don't think it's hardware related as the key still registers, just as something else. I've tried editing anything I can (INI files, settings, pagefiles, you name it I did it.) and my game's main menu is at like 70 fps but as soon as I load into the headquarters it runs at about 2 fps.

After the last update, the color rendering is not correctly transmitted in HDR 10 mode, there is a lot of purple on the screen, and in general the colors have become bright and incorrect. Everything is fine without the HDR mode enabled. I use a TCL-C745 TV instead of a monitor. Previously, I played in the HDR mode and there were no problems. Now you constantly have to turn off the HDR mode when you start Ready or not.

Your connection to the host has been lost, literally unable to play any multiplayer at all with my mate :

1. We are in VC, both of us have good internet
2. Neither of us have mods, theyre both fresh installs from this week (2 days ago, and yesterday)
3. We live nearby to each other, the ping between us is under 20ms outside of RoN
4. We are not leaving the lobbies, we are streaming to each other as this happens.
5. Both our games arent being blocked by firewall.
6. Using both 5Ghz, 2.4Ghz on my main network, and a separate network it failed both times.
7. We can both load the map in in single player.
8. I am a renter without access to the router settings.

2. I forced 1.1.1.1 or 8.8.8.8 as my DNS
   This is a good thing to have in general.
   1.1.1.1 is cloudflare
   8.8.8.8 is google

Keep in mind that this issue is confirmed to also be caused by mods and considering the fact that majority of this channel's issues are mod related it's quite understandable to see this suggestion

Thought I'd be interested in knowing whatever the "change NAT type to Open" means, considering that this naming doesn't really exist in networking sphere.
If this is DMZ host (i.e. exposing and forwarding all network ports onto one IP), then i wouldn't recommend anybody running this for extended period of time since it's a security hole.

its one of those stupid phrases that some services use and some dont, i think it originated from consoles trying to explain nat configurations to gamers
Open/Type 1 is either DMZ or full cone, generally means unrestricted and yes security hole
Moderate/Type 2 is restricted cone or port restricted
Strict/Type 3 is double NAT or symmetrical NAT
