Anyone know how to force launch with DX12 through desktop shortcut? As of rn the only way I can launch with DX12 is through steam, I googled and they asked to add -dx12 in the launch option thing, but when I did that the grame crashed after launch. Once I removed it, works fine again

Nope, but it will perform better most of the time. It also depends on your hardware. Most of the time, older GPU tends to perform better with DX11 while newer GPU tends to perform better with DX12. Try both and pick which one suits you the best

FOR ANYONE EXPERIENCING PERFORMANCE ISSUES ! Do the "clean install" method and delete your steam download cache, then launch the game in DX12 and you should be good to go, worked for me.

Right click the game on Steam, select manage, then select open local files. Afterwards, go back to Steam and select manage, then uninstall the game on Steam.

In file explorer, go back to just steamapps\common\ and delete Ready or Not

Hit the windows key and type %localappdata%, then delete the ReadyorNot folder

Then reinstall the game on Steam.

hm maybe its the ultrawide-ness resolution thats causing it, maybe bring texture downa notch and disable world decals. disableing world decals gave me about 5-10 fps boost

Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone else had the "out of video memory" error message happening to them? Been playing since day 1 and never had this issue until the 1.0 release. My computer is defintely powerful enough to run RoN cause on the max settings the game runs 60 frames.

What's weird is the error started happening a good few hours after playing and now my game won't even load into the training map without crashing.

Reinstalled the game twice and it doesn't seem to fix the issue.

Is there an issue on my end or should I wait for optimizations? Thanks guys.

I'm seeing a lot of people talk about performance issues again, so gonna resend this:

If anyone is getting stuttering/frame drops/bad fps, there's a few things I've done that have helped me nearly eliminate it, this is both from my own testing and other suggestions I've seen mentioned on here:

In-game stuff
1.) Change in-game settings to medium and see if it makes any difference - this doesn't seem to help too much but worth trying
2.) Make sure DLSS is turned off as apparently it can cause stuttering
3.) Experiment with trying both DX11/12 as 12 gave me better peformance
4.) Cap FPS in game to either your max refresh rate (60/144), or try half of it, so 144 is 72
5.) Try running the game in fullscreen
Windows stuff
1.) Open task manager while the game is running, right click the .exe for the game, click "go to details", then right click on the "ready or not windows/shipping" and change the priority to high
2.) Open NVIDIA control panel, find "manage 3D settings", look through the list for "shader cache size", setting this to unlimited helped me a lot
3.) Make sure windows is using the "max performance" power plan, and try seeing if game mode helps too
4.) Try running the game as admin

By messing with the stuff I've mentioned, I've managed to basically get rid of stuttering, although the HQ seems to be bad still, but missions are much better now

None of this might work for you but it's worth trying

Hi, I have a big 'Ready or Not' performance problem. My friend and I used to be able to play 'Ready or Not' without any lag 100+ FPS. The thing is a lot of people have been complaining about performance issue so it's def not a hardware problem, and also the word "Optimized" means any device with at least the min system requirement will be able to generate enough FPS to make it playable, from my experience it should able to generate a stable 30 FPS to make it playable. It doesn't mean "It works for me", "Skill issues", etc. So yeah, even the developer has confirmed performance issues in #❗known-issues-and-fixes

Try uninstalling and reinstalling. I uninstalled before the 1.0 update just because Unreal Engine 4 patches can be screwy.

Edit: Also, the first several times I tried launching the game, my PC crashed, then the game crashed several times. Now it launches okay- but the game is not well optimized for a variety of systems, it seems. Keep that in mind if it crashes on you once you finish downloading.

I think this has to do with the game-to-render latency (see the options at the bottom in advanced graphics). I turned on nvidia reflex + boost, turned down post-processing and antialiasing from Epic to High.

GTR latency was up to 30ms before, now it's 10ms.

Edit: I just loaded into a level, and it feels way snappier. Give this a try if you can!

So here's the thing, if you don't host the session then your character cosmetics will follow the host. This is a bug for sure, even if you haven't unlock it you will still wear what your host wear.

I want to install mods but it's not possible for me. I need to login with an email, i do this and then im logged in. Downloading don't work correctly but the more bad thing is, when i go back to the main menu, it says i need to restart with options yes or no. I can't fcking click on no 😂

Nope, this game is poorly optimized as of rn. Just wait for hotfix if you can't handle the poor performance rn. But if you want to play this game then there are some steps that you can use to "fix" it, launch the game with DX12, lower shadow settings, use DLSS or FSR to ultra performance. You can also change your nvidia control panel if you use Nvidia GPU

I'm seeing a lot of people talk about performance issues again, so gonna resend this:

If anyone is getting stuttering/frame drops/bad fps, there's a few things I've done that have helped me nearly eliminate it, this is both from my own testing and other suggestions I've seen mentioned on here:

In-game stuff
1.) Change in-game settings to medium and see if it makes any difference - this doesn't seem to help too much but worth trying
2.) Make sure DLSS is turned off as apparently it can cause stuttering
3.) Experiment with trying both DX11/12 as 12 gave me better peformance
4.) Cap FPS in game to either your max refresh rate (60/144), or try half of it, so 144 is 72
5.) Try running the game in fullscreen

1.) Open task manager while the game is running, right click the .exe for the game, click "go to details", then right click on the "ready or not windows/shipping" and change the priority to high
2.) Open NVIDIA control panel, find "manage 3D settings", look through the list for "shader cache size", setting this to unlimited helped me a lot
3.) Make sure windows is using the "max performance" power plan, and try seeing if game mode helps too
4.) Try running the game as admin

By messing with the stuff I've mentioned, I've managed to basically get rid of stuttering, although the HQ seems to be bad still, but missions are much better now
