Kaminksy-
Part of it is updating older levels, which has taken a lot on top of unraveling spaghetti code and getting back a lot of developmental debt to make future changes possible. Basically just pulling the game apart and untangling it, then putting it back together.

Unfortunately the consumer only sees those changes as minor performance upgrades, but it very much does make any future changes quicker and easier.

As far as the 'low effort AI', a large majority of our primary map assets are still made by a human. The AI slipping in is part of placeholder assets and slowly being replaced as we have the time and ability to fix it.

5.56x45mm: good jack of all trades round with nice tissue damage and arm penetration

7.62x39mm & .300 BLK: more or less the same round except they have a little bit more armor penetration, they maybe have a little bit more recoil

7.62x51mm: the most powerful round in the game and it can basically cut through almost any type of cover and downs suspects in only like two or three shots, be careful over penetration and recoil being high if you don’t know how to control it

4.6x30mm 5.7x28mm: nice armor piercing PDW cartridges that is a step above pistol calibers, but they may have a bit worse performance for on targets

9x19mm & .45 ACP: neat pistol calibers that are nice with unarmored suspects, but will kind of suffer with armored suspects…

12 Gauge Buckshot & Slugs: the former is nice with unarmored targets and it actually has good range unlike many games depict it, most maps are going to be tight corners with not many too long engagements… the former is OK at penetrating some armor and has more range but eh

Like OK… one reason that I see slugs as good as that it’s probably very good in a hostage situation since it’s only one solid
projectile… that means that you only have to worry about the suspect face getting fucked up and not the civilian getting a bunch of stray buckshot in their cranium

so its literally just super high damage multiple projectile shot with good range or

somewhat high damage single projectile shot with a bit more range allowing for less crossfire, the range you'll almost never need because the maps are so tight

As a new player I’m very frustrated with this game in some ways. I’ve been using the m14 and I’ve made it to the “Greased Palms” on hard difficulty mission in single player. Console connection is terrible you can have a great connection but if you have any type of connection issues where as on PC I didn’t feel it on console you’ll start rubber banding and teleporting it’s genuinely unplayable past 160 ping unless you’re ok w stuttering

Don't play like it's an arcade, practice sweeping. It's much easier to determine when you have multiple people but if you move with your cover it will give you time to identify where you're being shot from
