S-rank should and always likely will be everyone comes in safe and alive, past active shooter modes showed players weren't happy with how short the fuse was, but they had to be because of how small the maps were and how little suspects.

i just feel there are lots of situations where you would never realistically try to take a suspect in alive. i feel the prerequisites for S should just involve a minimum number of suspect arrests rather than forcing ALL of them - you could even vary the number per mission to balance it out

That's pretty much the challenge, there will always be people (a sizeable amount) that want to do it perfectly. S is there to reward them

i’m trying to critique how 4U Gas Station works / doesn’t work as an opening mission

and i realized i have very little to actually say about it. it’s okay. nothing much else ngl

Ideally it'd be a stick up with some gang bangers; nice way of letting the player get into the game with enemies that aren't as dedicated, trained, or fanatical.

But as things stand; the enemies there are as terminator like as the rest of them; so the mission just feels like another raid.

Though I hope that one day we'll see them behave like actual low level criminals instead. So 4U actually feels like a police mission.

Play conservatively, rely on the AI, and maybe wait a month or so for the devs to get the first set of hotfixes out of the way to hopefully get the AI into a less broken place.

Aside from that, I'd say watch a few tutorials about CQB tactics and movement; enough to get an idea of stuff like pieing, scanning, breaching, etc.

I consider Gunfighter a fitting QoL mod, plus Brighter Chemlights, combined with AI Improvements and Enhanced Visuals... pretty good gameplay that's close to vanilla while remaining convenient.

Excluding the coverage levels, there's 2 categories with 3 options.

You have armour type, and then you have plate type.

So, I'm confused as to what difference heavy armour makes if we have plate inserts already, and if coverage type is already a separate category.

I would recommend this game, despite how many times I complain about the developers, the game's lack of comprehensive story, or the AI's negatively consistent behavior.

But, yeah, it's still pretty raw. It's fine if you want to wait and buy it later or get it now, give it a try, and either enjoy it now or leave it.

Would 100% reccomend this game. Very intense gameplay and storytelling. Most of the storytelling happnes through 911 Calls, briefings and enviromental storytelling (you dont have cutscenes or collectables). But the story (or what its saying) is very dark, and probably shows the dark side of government agencies/Living as a Swat Member.
The gameplay, while sometimes goofy with being wallbanged from time to time - I dont find it too problematic. For whatever reason, if you play it like you ACTUALLY would in reallife (I.e NEVER RUN, never make noises when standing in front of the closed doors, always make sure you arent telegraphing your position via light sources) it is an amazing game, although still a proper challenge.

In my experience they do notice, especially when shining at a door or open corridors, but again could be wrong.

Most important to prevent super human tracking is to prevent noises. Dont swing doors, dont run etc etc.
