Kevlar armor is a soft material that can only really withstand handgun rounds… it is pretty lightweight to make sure character move faster

Ceramic plates is a a special ceramic with some other stuff in it… it’s the middle of the road and it’s pretty good for a jack of all trades doesn’t have too much of a movement penalty, but the armor plates can break so I think that will compromise protection… they protect handgun pretty good & can take rifle rounds a little bit until it breaks

Steel plates basically offer the best protection as they will not break and they can stop virtually all calibers that you come across by the suspects…, although they have something called sprawling and I’m pretty sure that phenomenon is when the steel starts to shatter and it can kind of cut you up and give you a little bit more damage, although I don’t know if it has any actual effect on you

there were 19 enemies and they did break my ceramic armor

but it feels like full auto saved me in alot of engagements
