This is gonna be an unpopular opinion. I'm not a controller player however, testing the controller support I think that hitting the lean for the opposite direction of how you're currently leaning should automatically put you in that direction rather than return to default.

im gonna guess its a problem with cpu usage, the only way is probably to upgrade your cpu, or play with less enemies on maps, or dont host games and only play on someone else's host, or all of that together
