To answer your question a little more detailed.

This is due to the transmission coding.

This is not your gear shifter nor your layout that you may be using, C1 is usually seen in automatic transmissions.

Here is an example with an image.

With the coding name crawls being set to 2

The transmission number that is displayed on your F3 hud and the truck display will show up as C1 & C2, this is 1st gear and 2nd gear.

3rd gear and 4 gear are A1 & A2 and so forth.

From the image I just shown, the transmission is considered a 10+2 transmission, meaning it has 10 gears, and 2 low gears making it a 12 speed automatic transmission.
